(Pokemon TF, People to Eeveelutions)

There were ten of them, a group of friends who’d taken the bus from college to the local mall. They’d planned to make a social trip of it: some shopping, some snacks, maybe even a trip to the mall’s bowling alley.

It all changed with a single word, one nonsensical word with the most intense consequences of their lives.

“Hippowdon!” It came from a woman so obese that they were amazed she was able to walk on her two legs, let alone stuff herself into some yoga addict’s tight clothes.

Any thoughts of humor soon turned to horror as her mouth opened wide, wider than should have been possible. The stranger grabbed Julia by her shoulders, spittle flying from her mouth as she cried out that word again. “Hippowdon!”

It was like the force of the cry was enough to blast the humanity from Julia’s face, purple fur rippling out from her nose back towards her stretching ears. Her legs kicked as they lifted from the floor, her shrinking body trapped in the stranger’s grip.

Desperately, Julia turned towards her friends, body thrashing as a two-tipped tail snaked from her backside. A gem appeared on her forehead, which glimmered as she tried to ask for help. But instead of any words, all that left her mouth was “Espeon?”

The rest of them scattered, though that wouldn’t do them any good. A single cry alone would have been enough to infect them, but hearing the stranger’s and Julia’s… It would only be a matter of time until their old lives unraveled.

There were ten of them, but they wouldn’t be themselves much longer.

Tanvi struggled to keep up with her boyfriend, light gasps burning deep in her chest. It wasn’t a hot burn; however. It was a cold chill, like she’d been jogging outside in the winter. “J-Jim, hold up!” She struggled, brushing her long hair from her face for what felt like the dozenth time.

He ducked around a corner, peeling into the darkness of a store that was still under construction.

Not only were the light off, but the heat must have been out too. Tanvi was freezing. She pawed at her arms, whimpering at how the darkness made it look like her fingers were turning blue.

“J… Jim?” She could swear that she could see her own breath. Worse, she’d pulled something when she was running—she couldn’t stand properly anymore. She staggered against a wall, leaning heavily against it, trying to rub heat into a body that now felt like ice.

Why didn’t she just stick with Jordan? It would have been so much easier to be with her, even though the girl never seemed to realize how Tanvi felt. At least that ignorant heartache was better than this literal cold shoulder.

“Tanveenh…” A rasp came from the shadows.

Really? All this, and he was trying to play a prank on her? Tanvi’s eyes narrowed, and she glared out, trying to make out details in the darkness.

There… Was that a glowing ring? How was…

It moved, and not mechanically. There was something organic about it led to Tanvi shrieking in fear.

Dark red eyes glimmered from the darkness, along with another purred rasp. “Umbreon…”

Holden stumbled against a television, which crackled to life at his touch. The electronics store had seemed like such a safe place, but… Well, now he wasn’t sure of that.

“Jolt,” he spat at it, the sound of his voice enough to brighten its screen. It was like it was mocking him, like all of the appliances knew something was happening to him that he himself couldn’t understand.

“Uh, can I help you?” And of course she’d be working here, too. He didn’t even know her name, he’d been trying to build up the courage to ask.

All of the hairs on Holden’s body stood on edge. It left him tense, irascible. He twitched his head, feeling a short and spiky mane of white fur crackle out from around his throat like lightning.

“Oh my God.”

“Jolteon,” was his retort. The word buzzed with electricity that froze her in her tracks as surely as a lightning bolt. Her cheeks turned a cherry red, and the tips of her ears darkened.

For a moment, a horrifyingly guilty moment, Holden thought he was hurting her, that his voice was burning her. Then a spark leapt from her cheeks to his nose, crackling his ire to life again.

“Jolteon, Jolteon, Jolteon!” He cried at her, each cry slamming into her, stripping feet from her height like an invisible hammer. Her slender figure took on a much more rodent-like appearance, and a heart-tipped tail wiggled against the back of a work polo that now fell over her stretched feet.

“Piiikaay don’t undchustand!” She whimpered, tears dewing at the corners of her eyes. “Whaka Pikkaning chu Pikachu!?”

He kept crying at her, that word that felt so right. It tingled his tongue each time he said it, overriding all thought. The store’s televisions brightened more, static bursting from their speakers in echoes to cries of Jolteon’s name.

“Hey, did you see where they went?” Jordan scratched at her arm anxiously. “I could have sworn I heard Tanvi around her, which means… Uh…”

“Jim,” Pete offered.

“Jim, ducked around here. Right?” Jordan gulped. Her throat was itchy. She tried to ignore it. Tried to pretend that the rest of her wasn’t just as itchy, as warm.

“You think it happened to them, too? Like a flare…”

“No. It’s neont going to happen to us, okay?” The words tasted like a lie even as Jordan said them, but she still had to tell it. She had to keep pretending that her ears weren’t flaring to points, that she couldn’t feel her nose twitching…

“Jordan…”

“No! It’s not goeon to happen to us!” A small lance of flame hit her heart as her voice hitched again. “Going. I said going. Yeon heard that.”

Pete didn’t reply.

Jordan turned, and choked out a sob. Her boyfriend was covered in a light, creamy fur. It was thickest around his head and his shoulders, and a fluffy, thick tail had grown from his backside. The rest of him, though… It was positively glowing.

Worse, there was a mirror behind him. She couldn’t see all of her body, but Jordan could see enough to know that she was covered in short orange fur. No matter how much she wanted to lie to herself, she couldn’t deny that she was changing too.

“Peteon…” Jordan gulped, “Pete.” She didn’t know what she was going to say next. She hadn’t been dating him that long, so it wasn’t like she’d miss him that much. But still, wasn’t it right to comfort him? Why was she so warm?

Her thoughts swirled, leaving her totally defenseless as he stepped towards her, that warm, ember-like glow brightening. His hands touched her cheeks like the sun’s kiss on a warm day. “Flare,” was his last, simple word.

Then he kissed her, and his warmth flooded her. It rushed down her throat, pooling into her stomach with a rush of heat that forced her to squeeze her eyes tightly shut. God, why was she like this? This heat, it was… More than just heat alone.

It burned away her worry, her fears, her inhibitions. She shuddered against Pete’s touch, greedily drinking in more and more of that warmth, feeling it build inside her to the point of need. She needed this, needed him, needed…

The heat guttered for just a moment, and Jordan’s weakness drove her to try to suck just a little more. It was like a drug to her, and she circled her arms around her boyfriend, feeling his fur around her neck, feeling his tail tickle against her backside, his hair brushing at hers…

How?

A brief mote of confusion broke her out of her trance, and she opened her eyes to see her reflection again—just hers. She was as orange as she’d been, but now sported creamy hair, a thick mane, and a horrifyingly fluffy tail. She gasped, noticing too late that there was a very faint outline of where Pete had been, like a haze of heat in the air—then this last bit of him burned its way down her throat, and she coughed out a throaty “Flare! Flare, eon, Flareon!”

He wasn’t gone, her brain knew that. She should only be so lucky.

He’d become a part of Jordan, more than part of her. That need she felt, the need they felt… It wasn’t like the usual emptiness. It wasn’t a void to be filled. It was a need to fill. It was an aching pressure between their legs, an urge to press against something, anything, to thrust, to…

“Jordeon?” A trembling, quiet voice came from her left, and Jordan turned their head to find a blue-furred Glaceon with just a trace of Tanvi’s intelligence in her eyes. “What’ceon happenglace?”

The need was too much.

Jordan fell atop Tanvi’s body, mercifully cool against Jordan’s heat. They moaned, bucking their hips back, pushing them forward, feeling clothes slip from their body, feeling pressure build, feeling needs and minds meld.

“Flareon!” Jordeon gasped, an addled smile breaking across his lips. Yes. This. It was it. This was the thing he’d needed. He ground against the Glaceon, already forgetting her meaningless name.

“Juh-Jorduhnneon!” The Glaceon squirmed, shivering, eyes going wide. She didn’t resist, didn’t push back. A small flush crept across her blue cheeks, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as though this had been something she’d been starved of all her life.

It was all he needed. He pressed his furry lips to hers, tasting the coolness of her lips, breathing out a puff of warmth that left her mewling in pleasure. Good. It looks like he was all she needed too.

Honestly, Aqua had thought for sure that she’d end up drowning or something. That was the kind of thing that tended to happen when her parents had a penchant for traumatic names.

So, no swimming lessons, no pooltime, no beachtime. Better to play it safe than to end up like her sister Boeing.

Naturally, when cool aquatic scales rippled across her body, she saw it as a blessing in disguise. “Awesome!” She admired her curves, especially the sleek transition between her hips and the new finlike tail that twitched with her every thought. “It’s like I’m some kinda Vaporemaid!”

Huh. That was odd. “Mermoreon?” She tried again, but the word wouldn’t quite leave her lips. The skin around her throat tickled as it stretched, spreading into a flared, ribbed crest. “Mer. Maid. Mer. Maid. Merporeon. Vaporeond!”

Her tail twitched at that last word, and her thighs plumped. A small smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, in time with an animal-like cleft settling between her nose and upper lip. “Vaporeon?” Her tail twitched again, this time in pleasure.

Aqua beamed, closing her eyes and rubbing her pawlike hands against her head. Her hair fell freely from a scalp that was now more like a swimmer’s cap, complete with a hydrodynamic fin at its tip. Her eyes darkened, growing a thin film that could cover them as easily as a swimmer’s goggles.

“Vaporeon,” she cooed again, drunk on the sound of the word. Her legs didn’t feel like they worked right anymore, so she fell onto all fours, giggling out another excited “Vaporeon!”

There were people staring at her, of course. Some of them looked shocked, some of them looked scared. But the more she said her name, the less it looked like they cared. She swam her way through them, blissfully ignorant of scales, feathers, and fur bursting from those she left in her wake.

Something was calling to her. Aqua could taste it. Something rushing, flowing, perfect…

Water from the fountain splashed against AJ’s shrinking form, and he cursed himself for trying to hide in the faux foliage.

He didn’t even know why, either. Sure, his family had a garden when he was a kid, but he hated that. It was too delicate for a future NFL star… Well, that’s what he’d thought at the time. Now, those fantasies seemed like something of a joke given how said future NFL star sported a dramatically feminine figure.

“Leaf,” AJ hissed, looking at his large hands, seeing them shrink just like his muscles had. His thumbs were last to change, twitching feebly as they diminished into paws that were irritatingly cute.

Of course, that couldn’t be all that happened to him. No, not only did he have to deal with how he looked like he could lose a fight to a weighted blanket, he also had to deal with the fact that his skin was lightening to a rich cream.

It wasn’t even a dark cream, either. It was soft—and, apparently, fertile. Small leaves were sprouting from it, near where he’d been splashed.

He rolled onto his smooth chest looking at them miserably, wondering how things could get worse. Then something dove into the fountain, splashing his ass with cold water.

AJ burst from the foliage with a scowl, even as a long and leaflike tail twitched behind himself. “Leafeon, Leafeon, Leafeon!” He squeaked.

A Vaporeon gawped back at him, Aqua’s glasses hanging awkwardly from her ears. Then she shook her head, chittering with laughter and splashing onto her back.

Was that… Was that going to happen to him too? Was he turning into some kind of Pokemon?

Honestly, AJ hadn’t considered that. He’d thought this was just something in the water turning him into some kind of femboy. He mulled it over for a moment, then decided that wasn’t a problem. No, the problem was the fact that Aqua—if she even was still Aqua—was teasing him!

“Leafeon, Leaf, Leaf!” He chirped, thumping a brown paw against the edge of the fountain.

Her response was to duck her head back into the water; then to spit a gushing gout directly into his face.

Instead of being pushed back by the pressure, his face pushed back against it, stretching out, creaking quietly into an adorable muzzle. The rest of his skull reshaped too, ears growing large and frondlike, hair swooping up into grasslike blades, and most significantly of all, skull squishing around a brain that would soon be too small for things like aggression.

“Leaf… Eon…” His eyes glazed, a little bit of greenish drool dripping from his mouth into the fountain.

Kyle stared at the fountain, mouth agape. He’d gotten off easily enough so far. He already sported long brown hair, so he could tuck his growing ears in his locks. The tail was a little much, but thanks to some of his… extracurricular interests, he already had a collection of those at home, along with skirts to make them look comfortable.

As long as things didn’t get worse, he’d get out of this just fine… Or so he’d told himself. But now, seeing that eye candy turn into a twink of a Leafeon…

“Sylvee…”

It had come from behind him, which meant that Maple had only gotten worse. Kyle shivered, wondering if there was time to pounce on the Leafeon. It wasn’t that he didn’t like Maple, she was fun enough to be around. But she couldn’t help it if she wasn’t exactly his type.

Then again, he didn’t dislike her either. He had to make sure she was okay, even if that was precisely the kind of logic that kept someone from showing up in the sequel.

Kyle turned towards her, feeling his nose twitch as she crooned her new name out again.

“Sylveeeon…” She was half-buried beneath a mountain of plushies, and the ribbons that had grown from her hair and collar seemed to be addicted to petting them.

“Ee, um, I,” Kyle corrected himself. “I think… Maybe saying Pokemon names is bad for us, so…”

He might as well have been talking to one of the teddy bears she was currently cuddling. Her eyes, once brown, were now a sky blue and were as round as saucers. “Sylvee,” she cooed.

“Right,” Kyle sighed, shivering as thick fluff bubbled around his neck, poofing out into a dense mane. “So…”

Too late, he saw the glimmer in her eyes. Apparently that change had been precisely enough fluff to change him from ‘friend’ to ‘cuddle toy’ in her simplified brain.

Her vulpine thighs were changed enough to launch herself at him like a torpedo, and before Kyle could react, she was bathing his clean-shaved face in small wet licks. “Sylvee, Sylveeon, Sylvvvv!”

His traitorous ears grew with each cry, flicking more and more as new muscles connected them to the sides of his head. They were all the better to taste more of the Sylveon’s delicious words, which tingled against his brain like cotton candy.

Kyle’s back thumped against the ground, and his vision swam as he looked up to the much-smaller creature on his chest. How had he fallen? Why couldn’t he stand? Why couldn’t he close his mouth?

His head lolled to the side, seeing his wrists pinned securely by her pink-and-cream ribbons. Well, that at least answered one of his questions…

Kyle looked back to her, a bit of drool trickling down his cheek, and found her face much closer than it had been a minute ago.

“Sylveon.” She purred it into his mouth, her words sweet as literal sugar. Then she kissed him.

It was so weird, feeling her lips meet his for just a moment before a muzzle claimed the rest of her human visage. Thanks to his changed ears, he could literally hear the small flap of air from her own ears growing, fanning just enough of her bubblegum scent into his nose to send his heart into overdrive.

How had he ever thought she wasn’t his type? It seemed so trivial now, when there was so much to enjoy, so much to taste. His tongue pressed against hers, his cheeks sucking against his teeth as he tried to keep her delicious tongue in his mouth.

Something about how his eyes kept fluttering must have gotten to her, because the Sylveon cooed tenderly, ribbons petting his arms.

Kyle felt them shrink, sucking into his body in time with his legs. He wiggled them even as he kept kissing the Sylveon, tasting more of that sugary drool that left his head swimming with pleasure. His tail stayed the same size despite his shrinking body, meaning that it was now positively massive compared to the rest of him.

Still, even that was nothing compared to her. He couldn’t remember her name anymore, couldn’t even remember his name. All he remembered was that she’d once been able to fit atop his chest, but now loomed over him at nearly double his size.

“Eevee,” he squeaked, surprised by how much his voice had lifted in pitch. “Ee, vee’s happeevee meeevee!”

She shushed him with another kiss. It was gentle but firm, even possessive. Her muzzle pressed against his lips with enough force to pop his own cute muzzle from his face. He watched in stunned disbelief as more and more of his face filled his peripheral vision, complete with a twitching button nose.

“Sylveon,” she purred into his mouth, a twinkle of something assertive coming into her eyes. She pulled her head away from his, opening her muzzle, sticking her tongue out above his mouth. Her ribbons tapped at his cheeks, putting a little pressure against his face to get his mouth open.

He crossed his eyes like a dimwit, lips parting obediently. He was a good Eevee. He was her little Eevee. He was… Was he?

Before he could focus too much on that last oddly human thought, the first trickle of her warm drool spilled into his mouth, splashing against his tongue. It tingled with a sugary sweetness that blasted the last of his human mind away, leaving only a submissive Eevee that would do anything his Sylveon asked.

Espeon felt all this happen, even as she slinked out from underneath the massive, snoring Hippowdon. She felt the other humans turn into Pokemon, tasting their pleasures and panics in equal parts. The two tips of her tail twitched—though not with sympathy.

If anything, Espeon was amused. She purred to herself, the gem on her forehead twinkling in time with the devilish glimmer in her eyes. They’d left Julia behind, after all. By the time the human had faded from her new body, they’d only begun to change.

And what changes they were! Espeon hummed to herself, strutting towards the mall’s exit, wondering if she’d feel the same if she changed someone like that. If she were to use her new psychic energy to pin some poor human down, to render them helpless as she mewled her name in their face… Would it be just as fun?

There would only be one way to tell…
