(F to Dogs)
As far as Zaunite offices went, this one wasn’t half bad. It wasn’t like anything from Piltover, but… It was close. Cait had to give the designer credit. Of course, at the same time, that probably meant that the room was being used for less than savory purposes, but a girl couldn’t have it all.
“Vi, are you quite certain of this… ‘informant’ of yours?” Cait hated to question her girlfriend, but as the newly-appointed sheriff, it was her job to make sure that her probable cause was… Well, probable.
The pink-haired girl looked back to Cait, eyes momentarily flitting towards the hat on her head. “Listen, trust me on this. They’ve never steered us wrong before, right? We’ve had three Shimmer busts this week, and you know how many weapons we’ve seized from the Undercity.”
“Zaun,” Cait corrected her. She fidgeted with one of the lenses on her cap, noticing another subtle look from Vi. “And more to the point… Is this hat too much?”
Vi stiffened. Despite wearing the massive Atlas Gauntlets, she somehow found a way to look adorably sheepish. She itched her blushing cheek carefully with a finger that could crush a boulder, then twitched her nose. “Hey, hold on. Do you smell that?”
“Oh no. You’re not getting out of this that easily.” Cait leaned in. “Someone here doesn’t like my particular choice in headwear.”
“No I swear, I really smell something! I’m not trying to distract you this time!” Vi’s hands started to itch within her gauntlets, but it wasn’t exactly like she could scratch her hands like this.
“This time? So you’re saying there were others?” Cait folded her arms. Her nose crinkled slightly, but it wasn’t like she was able to able to tell one odor from another down here. To her, everything had Zaun’s same chemical aftertang.
“Well… I… That is…” Vi twitched her fingers like crazy in her gloves, feeling the itch spread to her toes. “Hey, hold on.”
The pink-haired brawler took a deep breath, eyes narrowing. There was something there… Something in the air that she could almost taste. It was an invasive, thick smell that burned her sinuses and lingered in her mouth, sticking to her gums and her tongue.
“Hold onto what, exactly?” Cait leaned in, smiling. In doing so, she caught a deeper breath of the room’s air, irritating her own sinuses. She flinched back, sniffling loudly and covering her nose with her hands. “Oh, damn it all… Runny nose…”
Vi looked at her curiously, eyes widening a moment later as she saw that there was much more than a runny nose at play. Cait’s nostrils had darkened to a leathery black, and shone somewhat with a thin trail of mucus… Or maybe it was just naturally wet? Either way, she had to say something.
She opened her mouth to speak, only for her tongue to spill past her lips, wetly smacking against her chest. "Whuth awwpunin thoo yur noeth!?” Her long tongue twitched suggestively as she spoke, curling and flexing as new muscles developed to give it a far greater range of motion.
A cackle kept Cait from answering, and the two turned to find a slender, pale girl walking towards them.
“Jinxth?” Vi slobbered, recognizing her own sister immediately.
Cait recognized the most wanted woman in Piltover too, snapping her rifle into her hands and promptly fumbling it onto the ground. Her thumbs didn’t grip it like they should, and she looked down to her hands in concern.
Sure enough, they looked swollen. And now that she noticed, the rest of her fingers were bulging to match. Her soft, delicate skin was becoming coarser, though it still retained a velvety softness to it. Meanwhile, the backs of her hands had started to sprout blue hairs that matched her locks.
“Aw, did someone wanna play?” Jinx crooned. Her voice was sounded tinny through the gas mask she sported, but her naturally sadistic pleasure still chimed through clearly enough. “Sorry, you’ll have to wait a few for that.”
Vi’s throat burned as she gasped, taking in a deeper lungful of whatever was affecting her. “Whuth gowwrnn awwrn? Arruff ROOF! Hruff!?” Her words descended into a low and guttural bark, one that sent her gauntlets towards her throat… Or they would have, had her tongue not been in the way. Instead, she ended up mashing her long, slimy tongue against her bare neck, leaving it covered in her own drool.
“Since the dog’s out of the bag, I guess I’ll indulge myself,” Jinx shrugged, strutting to an empty desk and dropping her pert butt into the chair. She kicked her legs up, scattering the papers that had been neatly stacked on its corner. “Oops.”
“Doesn’t that saying involve a cat?” Cait couldn’t help herself—she was a pedant at heart, and even though something was mutating her and her girlfriend, there was no way she could let that slide. … Right? Odd, she was sure that she’d normally have more restraint than that…
Her brows furrowed in confusion, only to thicken. Like moss spreading across a stone, the soft hairs spread across her forehead and her face, leaving her itchy and warm. She pressed her swollen, changed hands against them, shuddering at how each of her palms was now easily the size of her head. Her hands were remarkably heavy like this, and it would be easier to just let them lie on the floor.
Jinx snickered as Cait thudded onto all fours, sending her hat skidding across the room. The policewoman’s posterior lifted in the air from the motion, revealing a growing nub at the base of her spine. “Nah, I really think dogs are more fitting than cats. And as the person in the room, I think my vote carries the most weight.”
“Roo hghraid rrriff ruff thhh… thhhayfff!” Vi forced her mouth to work out a horrible impression of human speech. As she did, her upper lip grew thicker, heavier. It stretched towards the ground in a pair of long jowls that rubbed against her chin and her tongue alike.
“She said this was safe? Has she been your informant!?” Cait thumped around, looking up to Vi accusingly, only to flinch back at the sight of the changing woman.
“Wow, we gotta regular dog whisperer over here! Or maybe you’re just already speaking her language,” Jinx mused. She looked over her shoulder. “Hey, are you gonna come in or not?”
A slender woman with green hair poked her head around the door, holding a mask to her face with both hands. “Not until I’m sure that drug’s cleared out of the room!”
Jinx sighed, exaggeratedly checking a clock on the wall. Clearly she was satisfied with the result, because she popped the mask off her face. It clicked with a faint hiss of air, and she took in a deep breath. “Yeah, seems fine to me!”
“Ah, excellent. Well then… You should know, you two have caused me no small amount of trouble.” The green-haired woman strutted into the room
“You’re… Actually, I have no idea who you are.” Cait blinked, tilting her head to the side in an inquisitive canine fashion. Her ears stretched with the motion, heavily thumping against her fuzzy cheeks. She looked to Vi for help, but found that Vi was distracted by something far more pressing.
The fistfighter’s toned chest was barreling out, growing larger, bulkier. Even though it had mostly swallowed her breasts, the bumps that were straining at her shirt’s fabric suggested they weren’t fully gone, and even had company to spare. More to the point; however, it looked like she’d been squeezed into a shirt that was three sizes too small.
“You don’t recognize me? I’m Zainni!” The green-haired woman blinked, pressing a hand to her chest. She then fumbled with her mask, tearing it off to point at her face. “Chem baron? The one whose warehouses you’ve been hitting the past year?”
A loud tearing filled the room as Vi’s shirt finally gave up the fight, revealing a broad body covered in pink fur. “Ughyy dawwrrnth…” Vi began, then stopped miserably as she realized how inhuman she sounded. A second later she yelped as her hips and shoulders popped, sending her into an undignified heap on the ground.
“We… Didn’t know who we were after,” Cait hazarded a guess at what Vi was trying to say. Her tail clicked a little further from her backside, and she absentmindedly waggled her bulging hips. “Vi’s informant—Jinx—provided all the details.”
“Wha—you’ve been the one costing me half my business?” Zainni whirled towards Jinx, who shrugged.
“That was then, this is now. Look on the bright side, I’m giving you the best guard dogs known to man. Regular Zaunite mastiffs with a few improvements.”
“Awmproofmunth!?” Vi barked, gasping as her hands and feet cramped further. She looked to the gauntlets on her arms, seeing their fingers convulse and twitch.
“Well, duh. I’m talking loyal, strong, smart—though still rock stupid by human standards…” Jinx added the second bit with a small smile. Two loud cracks filled the air as Vi’s gauntlets exploded, revealing she sported a pair of massive, useless paws. “And iron skin! Trust me, you’re gonna love having these babies around. They can sniff out an enforcer a mile away.”
Zainni didn’t seem to care for that, though she evidently had enough experience with Jinx to know not to press the little maniac. She bit her tongue, choosing to simmer quietly.
Cait accidentally bit hers, and a canine yelp slipped past her darkening lips. She plied her tongue against her teeth, feeling that her canines were getting sharper and sharper with every passing second.
Her eyes flitted up to the women in the room, a pitiful plea bubbling up in her chest, only to die in her tingling throat. “Whuhrrrrruff! AWROOF!?” Her upper lip drooped into a heavy, flopping set of jowls that twitched with her attempts at speech. They matched Vi’s, and for a moment she considered what it would be like to kiss like this. The thought filled her with shame… And a bit of something else that she wasn’t sure she wanted to think about.
“Oh, but obviously they’re not conversationalists,” Jinx continued, leaning back in her chair and looking at the ceiling for a moment. Then she slid her eyes towards Zainni with a wide smile. “But I promise you, they’re great listeners.”
“I’m sure,” Zainni lied. She watched Cait openly drool onto the ground, and quietly wondered what would make a former sheriff into such a slobbering dullard.
In fairness, Cait couldn’t quite help it. Her mouth hadn’t fully changed yet, so all she could do was cup her overinflated paws under her chin, trying to catch as much of her slobber as possible, as though that would make her changes any less humiliating.
Meanwhile, she was slowly, subconsciously changing her posture. She dropped to her knees, spreading her heavy thighs and letting them tear through her leggings. The motion freed her backside, letting a new tail wiggle above her butt and jiggle her cheeks enticingly.
Vi stared, canine muzzle dropped open in stunned shock. Something was really wrong here. Normally Cait was prim and proper to the point of neurosis—yet now she was acting like a complete imbecile. Vi had to do something, except…
Wow, Cait’s butt looked great covered in blue fur.
Her legs moved for her. Vi was so close to Cait in no time, rubbing their sides together; then their muzzles. She kept walking, letting her tail tickle Cait’s dark nose, which rewarded her with an adorable look from her mate.
“Ahm… Jinx? You do realize that the two are…” Zainni gestured lamely at the two dogs, watching as Vi shook a fluffy ass in front of Cait’s face. Cait seemed to be too stupid to understand the motion, but to her credit she was able to gather enough of the intent to hop atop her mate, fondling her hips and tail.
“What? They’re perfect dogs? Yeah, you can tell ‘em to do anything, no questions asked!” Jinx beamed.
“No, not that. They’re kind of humping.”
There wasn’t really a better word for it than that. Cait’s heavy paws were pressed firmly against Vi’s flanks, and Vi seemed to be too busy kneading her paws against her face to care.
“Eh?” Jinx turned, blinked, rubbed her eyes, and blinked again. “Ah. Well… It’s not like you’ll be drowning in puppies or anything, right!”
“At least then they’d be of some use,” Zainni crinkled her nose. “Listen, you mad dog, explain how-urk.” Her words died as a choke as she saw Jinx had put her own mask back on, and was dangling a vial of that accursed gas in her hands.
“Dog? No, no. Not me. They’re the dogs. I’m just...” Jinx paused, head cocked slightly. She nodded. “I’m just trying to find them a new home, right? And that means you’re up, sister!”
Zainni let out a sigh of relief as Jinx unclasped her mask and pocketed the canister. Were it not for the fact that she’d just threatened Zainni’s humanity a moment ago, Jinx would actually look halfway innocent. Only halfway, though.
“Just take good care of ‘em, or else I’ll find all three of you a good owner!” Laughed the girl, before hopping to her feet and strutting from the room, as though that was a sane end to their talks.
Maybe in her head it was. Zainni certainly wasn’t going to question her on it.
Zainni shuddered at the threat, then looked to her new pets, who seemed to be enjoying themselves. “Lucky you…” She muttered under her breath, already trying to calculate just how much of her profits would have to go to feeding them.
Cait and Vi didn’t hear a word of that exchange, not that they’d understand anymore. The two big dumb girls were having the time of their lives, just like they’d do each and every day for the rest of their canine fate.
