(F to Seal)
Gabi waved with a wide smile to her fans, knowing fully well that most of the men in the audience only cared about her for her assets. That was just fine to her. In truth, she privately relished the chance to steal boys from their significant others. It made her feel warm; complete, even.
“Hey everyone! Thanks so much for coming to my Q&A!” She waved, noticing more than a few glares from the lesser girls in the crowd. That was to be expected: a little jealousy was practically a staple to her show.
However, this time something was different. This time, the glares were accompanied by smiles; by sick looks of anticipation.
Gabi brushed off her feeling of unease. There was no way anyone here could touch her. After all, she was head and shoulders above even the prettiest girl in the crowd. In fact… She might as well remind them of it.
“Say, everyone! What do you like most about my swimsuit?” She giggled, showing off her one-piece. For good measure, she leaned over and allowed them a generous view of her décolletage. “Come on, let’s hear it!”
“Probably how loud it sounds when you clap against your belly!” One of the glaring girls called out.
It was an odd thing to say, which made it even odder that Gabi’s reply was to slap her palm against her stomach. Sure enough, it made a rather solid clap, the kind that was almost addicting.
“W-well, I can’t say that you’re wrong there!” Gabi laughed, unable to keep herself from slapping her other palm against her belly, then both at once. It felt like the claps were growing a bit louder, like there was more stomach against her palms. But that couldn’t be right.
“Of course not! You love the attention you get, don’t you?” Another jealous girl, another not-entirely-inaccurate statement.
Gabi nodded eagerly, swatting her belly with both hands. This time her stomach jiggled, and she blushed. Quiet murmurs passed through the crowd, and Gabi felt a brief flash of irritation. These hecklers were trying to usurp her show!
“I do! In fact, I love all of my fans so much…” Gabi paused, a twinkle in her eye. “That I’d love to hear what they think a good first date dinner would be!”
“Fish!” Another girl. That wasn’t right. By now, one of the guys should have answered. Still, she wasn’t wrong.
Gabi drooled, suddenly overcome by a craving for marine life. She wiped at her mouth with a hand, blushing faintly. As she did, small whiskers slipped from her cheeks. They puffed a second later, growing a bit thicker, almost canine in appearance.
“W-well, I’m not gonna lie, fish sounds really good right now!” Gabi’s new whiskers twitched as she spoke, though she didn’t notice them. Nor did she notice her nose beginning to darken, turning upwards in a snoutlike fashion. Her face began to distend, jaw stretching into a short and rounded muzzle.
“I bet it does! You’d love a fish, wouldn’t you?”
“Go on, Gabi! Tell us you want a fish!”
“Gabi Gabi, she wants fish! Make her beg us for a dish!”
Gabi’s knees felt weak, and she fell onto them, her palms slapping against the pool’s tile. This wasn’t how her swimsuit debut was supposed to go! She was supposed to wow the crowd, not find herself hungrier than she’d been in her life.
“I… I want a fish…” Gabi spoke quietly, with a blush. Despite falling, she kept her head held high—a grievous error. Had she looked down, she might have noticed how her admission was making her trim tummy swell, slowly stretching her swimsuit.
“What was that?”
“We can’t hear you!”
“Act it out!”
Gabi’s cheeks burned brighter, and she clapped her hands against her now-rounded belly. Her chubby body jiggled with the motion, and she angled her head higher, opening her mouth wide. She pointed towards her lips emphatically. “I! I want fish! In my belly!”
“Aw, but Gabi! You’re not supposed to eat with your flippers!”
“You idiot! You need to be more subtle than that!”
That was odd. Too odd. Gabi blinked, the spell cast upon her momentarily faltering. She looked to the crowd, and watched as the men in the audience faded away, as though they’d never existed. In their stead, a dozen or so glaring girls remained, each of them staring at her hands with cruel interest.
Dreading what she might find, Gabi followed their gazes—and screamed.
Her fingers were fusing together, thick and sleek webbing connecting them. She tried to use her other hand to pry them apart, but only succeeded in clapping one developing fin against the other. More panic welled up within her, and she snapped her head back up to the crowd.
“What’s going on?” Gabi yelled. She shouted loud enough to jiggle her bloating body, and squealed as she noticed how much weight she’d gained.
“What’s the matter, Gabi? I thought you liked getting some tail after your show!”
At that, her legs clamped together, so hard that the crotch of her swimsuit snapped. Gabi looked down in horror, watching as her delicate calves swelled, the flesh between her legs joining and giving her an almost mermaid-like look. Her feet flattened into a wide, blubbery flipper, and she slapped it against the stage, shocked.
“Come on, girls. She’s scared.” This voice sounded reasonable, and Gabi nodded feverishly. “Let’s put her back under, and keep the show going.”
Under? What did… The show! Gabi blinked, and thoughts of her transformation fled to the back of her mind. “Oh my God I’m so sorry! It’s not like me to space out! Um… Why don’t you all tell me what you like about my outfit?”
Gabi wriggled on stage, her chubby tail swatting the ground as she attempted to pose sexily. In spite of the large belly, muzzle, and flippers, she did a moderately good job of it.
“I like how it shows off your spots!”
Gabi preened at that, an unexpected pride surging through herself. She squirmed a bit more as she felt each of her dark spots tingle against her skin, almost like the attention was making them stand out. Her skin took on a grayish hue, but she didn’t notice.
“I think I’d like it more if you grew out of it, though!”
Gabi’s eyes widened, and she huffed as her torso shuddered. Her upper body barreled out, swallowing much of her arms and her breasts in the process. At the same time, it undid the loose knot on her one-piece, sending the already-split fabric into the nearby pool.
“Ah!” Gabi squeaked, diving forward to hide what she assumed was her exposed breasts. Her blubbery chest slapped against the tile, and she dimly began to recollect just what was so wrong about this performance.
“Girls. What did I just say?” That same confident voice pierced the crowd. “If the glamour breaks, she’ll notice she’d turning into a seal.”
“Uh…”
“Oh. Crap.”
Gabi’s eyes bulged, first in surprise then with change as they grew rounder and larger. A wordless cry of distress slipped from her mouth, followed by a wail of distress as her gorgeous hair receded into a blubbery, short-furred head.
“Well, she’s already enough of a seal…”
“Yeah, there’s basically no going back at this point.”
“That’s not the point! What if this messes up the mental changes?”
Gabi whimpered, jiggled her body, and whimpered again at how bloated she felt. She was big, humiliated, and totally at the mercy of these girls. Worst of all, they were talking about making her lose her mind!
“N-no, please! I’m not a seal!” Gabi whimpered. The cry seemed feeble, coming from the mouth of what, for all intents and purposes, looked like a spotted seal.
“Well, you’re blubbery like one!”
“Aww, doughy’s gonna cry!”
“If you’re not a seal, show us that trim human belly of yours!”
A sudden urge to please the crowd filled the girl-turned-seal, and she rolled onto her back. “Look! See! Human belly! Not seal belly!” Her flippers clapped against her swollen belly, undermining her point. Worse, words were starting to fade from her mind one at a time.
“I dunno, that looks pretty seal-like to me!”
“Come on, sealy! Ask us for fish!”
“Yeah, that’s the best part of your act so far!”
Again, she couldn’t resist. Gabi choked out a whimper, rolling back onto her gut, leaning back on her tail. She clapped her fins together like an animal, opening her mouth wide. “I… Gabi! Gabi want fish! Gabi… Wan…Wa…” More words slipped from her mind.
Gabi had never been so embarrassed in her life. It was like being picked on for a question she didn’t know how to answer. “I… Gabi… Wa… Wa…” It was such a simple word. ‘Want’. She could picture it in her mind, but her mouth just couldn’t pronounce it.
“Hey, tubby! If you can’t remember a word, just bark it instead!”
The idea was brilliant. Gabi couldn’t believe that someone in the crowd wanted to help her, but she’d take that advice with both fins! “Gabi OARK fish! Gabi OARK fuh…F… OURT! Gabi OARK OURT!”
She made the low and guttural cries of a seal as though she’d been born a pinniped, and felt a rush of pride at how well she was communicating. That’s right, thought the addled girl, Gabi’s the smartest seal in the pool!
“Wow, such a talented seal!”
“Bravo, bravo!”
Gabi swatted her hands against her belly, looking up with a kind of imbecilic pride reserved only for the truly stupid. “OARK Gabi OURT! ORT ORT OARK Gabi!”
One of the girls stood, walking onto the stage with a chuckle and a sashay of her hips. “Now, we’ve got one last trick for you, Gabi.”
“Ort?” Gabi asked, suddenly apprehensive. She couldn’t explain why, but something about this girl made her feel like she was in very real, very present danger.
“I want you… To remember. I want you to remember being sexy, cute, and attractive enough to steal my coven’s boytoys from us. I want you to mentally become human Gabi. And then clap your fins against your belly, and halve your intelligence each time, until you’re a blubbering, blubbery seal.”
Gabi did as asked. Her eyes widened, and the light of intelligence returned to them as she realized what was about to happen. “Please, no! You can’t do this!” Words came so easily to her—how could she ever have forgotten how to talk? “I’m sorry!”
CLAP
Gabi shuddered, her head reeling. A hiccup that sounded like a bark slipped from her lips, and she shook her head, panicking further. “No dumb! No seal! Gabi girl with big boobs and butt! Please, no dumb!” It wasn’t fair! She was supposed to be sexy, not chubby!
CLAP
“Uuhhrt… OART! Gabi! Guhhrll. Gabigurl,” she babbled, because that was all her brain was capable of doing. Inwardly, her thoughts drifted from dreams of boys and fame to dreams of bulls and fish. Her thoughts slowed.
CLAP
“Gab—”
CLAP
“—ORT! GUBBUH! OARK!” She… Name… Was… Seal? Seal… Name?
CLAP CLAP CLAP
“ORT! OARK ORT ORT!”
The seal on stage swatted her fins against her belly a dozen more times, until every last trace of the girl she’d been had vanished.
