(M to Rainbow Dash)
Kyle groaned, blue fingers scrabbling against and azure chest. Despite his evident panic, he couldn’t help feel a thrill of excitement from his changing form. After all, this was what he wanted, deep down.
“Come on,” he groaned, his soft voice filling the confines of his room. He kept trying to tug his shirt past his head, but his arms weren’t working the way they should. Every attempt he made was met with unmitigated failure.
A growing, assertive side of Kyle’s brain railed against this indignity, and he huffed with exasperation. Seeking to claim a quick victory over his clothes, he pushed his swelling palms against the waistline of his shorts. The fell easily, and a smile spread across his cerulean face.
“Darned right.” He chuckled, noticing a faint raspy edge to his voice. The sound of his changing tone sent a thrill of pleasure through his chest, and he looked to his reflection. God, he was already starting to look like her.
Did he want to go further with this? He wasn’t sure… The self-conscious side of his old self still held some dominance over his body. At the same time; that said was also prone to peer pressure, and the new side of his mind dared him to try something new.
Kyle looked at his reflection, glad for the full-body mirror in his closet. His heart pounded as he looked to his broadening nose, the other equine features of his form almost easy to ignore compared to the sight of his changing face.
He opened his mouth slowly, focusing on how his teeth looked blockier, and how his tongue looked bigger. Neither of these impeded his speech in the slightest. “I… Am Rainbow Dash.”
There. He said it. His heart felt like it was going to explode, and the wonderful pleasure deep in his chest flowed out with an exhilarating rush. His hair lightened to a colorful, vivid set of shades. Better yet, it stretched, tugging out into a proper mane.
“I am Rainbow Dash.” Kyle repeated himself, and that familiar flutter manifested itself this time in the form of wings. They bloomed from his shoulders, and he beat them with a giddy smile. His smile only seemed to grow as his face stretched into a proper muzzle, and inspiration struck.
Quickly, he lowered his head towards the collar of his shirt. Just in time, he managed to tuck his equine snout beneath it, and the change helped tug the offending garment from his body from him. He tossed it from his muzzle with a shake of his head, and looked once more at the mirror.
A blue pony with multicolored hair looked back. For all the world, Kyle’s reflection looked female. The girl in the mirror nickered with amusement, and a long and flowing tail curled up past her cutie-marked hips.
“I’m Rainbow Dash!” She exclaimed, and it was true. Her body felt so light, yet so strong at the same time. She was everything she’d always wanted to be: brash, exuberant, proud. Best of all, she was stunningly eye-catching, a sight any Equestrian would be envious of.
The world around her seemed to melt away, replaced by the familiar hues of home. The roof over her head vanished, and she looked upwards with a manic, eager grin. “Look out, world! There’s a new queen in the skies!”
Rainbow Dash’s wings beat, and she launched into the air like a rocket. The breeze whipped past her rainbow locks, and she laughed with true, unbridled joy.
