Lena Oxton: a charming, British brunette, currently lost in time. The woman grunted, tears dewing at her eyes as she continued to pass through times, flickering from point to point. She remained in them for anything from days to lifetimes, and each one was as jarring as the last for her.
Even now, she

Lena blinked her eyes, finding herself in a movie theater. She did her best not to exclaim in surprise-that would be rude, after all-but she still had to cup her hands over her mouth to avoid squeaking.
That’s when she noticed the braces, shortly followed by noticing a pair of thick glasses hung on her face. She looked down to find a distinctly young body, probably one that was still in middle school. Hurriedly, she thought of what to do, only to be distracted by an orchestral theme.
The girl looked up and squeaked in surprise, a childlike giddiness starting to rush through her as her body overwrote her mind. It was a familiar consequence of the time jumps, but one that was never any less jarring for it.
“Oh, cool! Episode fifteen! I love a clathic!” A lisp settled into her tone as she settled into her seat, kicking her feet as she

“In the kitchen! Now!”
Lena looked up at an angry butler, blinking in surprise. Then she quickly looked down to her clothes, this time fast enough to see her flight jacket change into a black-and-white maid’s outfit. That was the strangest part about some of these jumps, that she’d always start as herself only to shift moments later.
“Are you deaf, you stupid bint?”
The brunette looked up to him with a glare, even as her hair lengthened to her shoulders. “Oi, listen up, you bloody”
She froze, realizing who she was speaking to. He was the second in charge of the manor, after all-and, more importantly, was a man! Had she seriously been about to backtalk him? “Roight, sorry!” The woman bowed, hurrying to her place. There was tea to be boiled, and crumpets to be made!
The young master would be pleased with her today, and maybe she’d marry int

“WITCH! WITCH!”
Lena yelped, struggling to move her arms and legs. She was tied to a pole, surrounded by chanting men, each of whom was carrying a torch.
“No, wait! I just got here, you can’t”
She couldn’t manage to finish the thought before they lit the pyre beneath her feet, licking flames soon coruscating around her

“Whoa, that one was a doozy!” The woman massaged her temples, only to blink in shock as she felt her forehead begin to protrude against her fingers.
Hurriedly, she looked down to her clothing to watch as it disintegrate to a tattered leather skin, the fur of some extinct animal. Well, at least it was extinct when she was from.
“Wait, am I like, a Neanderthal or something? I’m not sure I like that…” Lena shuddered as hairs itched out from along her entire body, which was beginning to shrink and broaden. She was getting a good deal stockier, with muscle that would have made a weightlifter envious.
“Cause me no dumb, Lena smar-smar!” She grunted, scratching her armpit and grunting to herself. She smacked her thicker lips and made another grunting sound, this one to call to her mate. He’d been out for long enough that she had to check if he was alive. And if he wasn’t, there was another mate in her tribe.
Of course, he was back as always, and she was able to give him his child a few days later. The woman raised it well, even when its father had died to a fight with a nearby tribe. This child was hers, and she would be able t

Lena shuddered, a silent gasp escaping her lips as she realized she’d never be able to see her child again, except possibly in a museum. It was echoed with another one as she realized she was naked, though it seemed she was growing fur at a rather alarming rate.
“Wait, am I… Am I devolving? Ha! That’ll show those nuns who-oo-ook! Aghloo ook eek aah!” Her words degenerated into senseless babble as her vocal chords changed. Already she slumped over into a low stoop, resting her knuckles on the ground as her feet broadened.
She hooted and hopped in place, a little upset that she wasn’t able to finish the thought; then becoming upset that she was upset to begin with. Her IQ sank like a stone, until all that she could do was act upon primal impulse, acting like the chimp she

Lena shuddered, only to choke as her body began to crack and pop. This was faster than the other changes, likely due to its extreme nature. Her skin was hardening into a coat of emerald scales, and her face was slowly cracking and stretching out into a reptilian snout.
“What’s harksssekekssss!” Her vocal cords ached and she was left with chirping and clicking hisses. Her eyes drew to the sides of her head, lightening to an amber gold even as a tail stretched out from her backside.
She could feel this latest change, her growing tailbone forcing her to stoop-a posture that was not uncomfortable for long. Her legs and arms shifted to accommodate this, muscles growing in places and shrinking in others.
The woman turned her reptilian head towards her hands in time to see them morph into claws, her nails overtaking her soft skin, or what of it that hadn’t yet become scale. She could feel the same happening to her feet, her big toes curling into a razor sharp claw.
This time she could feel the change encroaching into her mind: that she was losing her humanity in favor of something utterly alien. And, in truth, she wasn’t sure how to feel about it. This was something new, something she’d never experienced in her life. Even being a monkey had at least something familiar about it.
This… This was raw, consuming hunger. It was cold and unrelenting, and already she could feel it begin to devour her intellect. She screeched and pawed at her snout with her claws, struggling to try and keep some semblance of Lena Oxton.
It was like she was trying to stand tall in the face of a tornado, and soon she was completely and utterly swept away. As the last of the new velociraptor’s changes settled in, she scanned her surroundings, clicking her talons idly.
Then she caught wind of motion, and with that she was off in a blur, powerful muscles carrying her at a breakneck sprint she’d not thought possible, getting her closer to her prey

“Oxton? Miss Oxton? Can you hear me?”
The world swirled around her and she looked up into the eyes of an ape. For a moment the urge to leap upon him and make him a meal crossed her mind, then the woman’s rational mind returned to herself.
“Lena Oxton? Are you okay?” The gorilla spoke again.
Memories crossed her mind, countless lives. But that one held the most ground to her, and Lena nodded, a smile crossing her face as she realized she was home.
Then she replied, still smiling. “Cheers.”
