Raven sighed as she sulked back into her room, Gar's words still fresh in her mind. True to his moniker of 'Beast Boy', the green-skinned superteen hadn't been particularly gentle with his suggestion that she needed a wardrobe change.

While she didn't necessarily agree with the language, she certainly shared the sentiment. Given how the rest of the team's colors were constantly changing on a dime, her outfit seemed almost stagnant in comparison. Even though hoods never went out of style, she probably should look into something casual to wear...

The Teen Titan looked over to her closet, barely managing to suppress a shudder. It had been quite some time since she'd opened the thing, and memories of Starfire's recent 'surprise shopping spree' flooded her mind as she envisioned being crushed beneath a pile of gifts yet again.

The girl hesitantly reached out a telekinetic hand to the closet, grimacing and expecting the worst as she opened it from the safety of her bed. Yet instead of the pile of gifts she'd dreaded or the storm of moths she'd expected, nothing unusual happened.

"Well, that was anticlimactic." Raven drawled, a sour look on her face as she slinked towards the clothes that served as her wardrobe. At least one of the two disasters would have given her some distraction from the monotony of looking at her hoods, hoods, and... A striped shirt?

Raven blinked in surprise, pulling it from the closet and examining the long-sleeved V-neck with interest. There was something about it that just subtly called to her-even though it looked like it would expose a good deal of her midriff.

Hurriedly, she tossed it onto her bed, slipping off her usual cloak and looking at the shirt with anticipation. At the very least, it would be worth wearing it to see the look on Gar's face...

Her communicator beeped, shattering the mood; and Raven groaned, telekinetically lifting the ovoid device from her discarded cloak. It was probably going to be some sort of emergency that called for her powers-or just grunt work for the Justice League again.

Raven groaned as she moved the communicator to her palm, flipping it open and preparing to say goodbye to the rest of her day. Normally, it wasn't like her to dread superheroism; but that shirt just begged her to wear it...

No, she'd have to save that for later. For now, duty called. Raven clicked on the screen, only to scowl at the sight of a familiar villainess's face.

Lady Spellbinder's face appeared on the screen, a smile playing across the purple-haired woman's lips as she adjusted her mask. "Heya, moody!" The woman chirped, a grin on her face.

"You! What do you want? How did you hack into my communicator?" Raven hissed, hardening her mental shields and looking to the video dubiously. Lady Spellbinder was a notorious hypnotist, and though Raven had yet to succumb to her powers, it never hurt to be cautious.

"Aw, don't be like that." The villainess play-pouted for a second before winking mischievously. "Let me answer that second question first: Deathstroke-or Slade, if you know him as well as we do-lent me some toys so that I could have some fun with you lot."

Raven growled by means of response to that statement, preparing to crush the little device with psychic energy. As though Lady Spellbinder could sense this, the woman raised both hands mollifyingly, her eyes wide.

"Hey wait, hold up! I'm not finished!" She exclaimed, shaking her head and her hands alike. The woman seemed halfway earnest for the first time in her life, and Raven found her curiosity piqued. Just what was Lady Spellbinder's game?

Despite Raven's gut instincts, the heroine scowled and allowed the woman to continue. "Go on." She growled.

"As I was saying," the purple-haired woman began slowly, looking to Raven with a mischievous grin, "instead of that whole 'I hypnotize your team until the part where you kick my rear end' shtick we usually do, I decided to extend an olive branch. I'm simply here to help you pick out an outfit that's positively cute!"

"Really, now?" Raven drawled, a little bit of doubt creeping into her mind nonetheless. The woman did have a fashion sense, despite Raven's personal feelings toward her. And compared to the rest of the Titans... Victor was the only one who knew how to dress halfway like a human being; and he was mostly machine!

"Really." Lady Spellbinder nodded, pointing to the striped shirt in Raven's hands. "That little affair didn't end up in your closet by accident, you know. And it's part of a complete set."

"Complete... Set?" Raven spoke slowly, glancing back to her closet as the faint thrill of anticipation flickered through her heart. She looked back to the communicator apprehensively, her brow furrowed. "If this is a trick, I will find you."

"I have no doubt of that." Lady Spellbinder replied sourly, rolling her eyes. "Which is all the more reason for me not to trick you in the first place. I folded the pants and put them in your drawer, along with the other accessories you'll need."

Raven made a mental note to talk to the woman about how she managed to break into Titans Tower... Later. For now, she had some pants to find. The girl used her telekinesis to grab hold of her communicator once more, letting it hover over her shoulder and free her hands. Then she promptly began rooting through the mess of trinkets and tomes she kept in her drawer, beaming at the sight of a small box that wasn't familiar to her.

For a moment, her vision swam at the sight of it, and she had to shake her head to clear it. The feeling passed, and she looked back to the box with an eager smile, the foreign expression somehow feeling so right.

She grabbed it and put it on her bed, opening the box and finding a cute and black short skirt with matching leggings, gloves, and flats. Her eyes lit up as she pulled them out one at a time, arranging them in a neat pile on her bed.

"Well? What are you waiting for?" Lady Spellbinder purred into her ear, and a blush crept across Raven's cheeks at the thought of dressing in front of another woman. She looked to her communicator only to find the woman covering her eyes on-screen, a smile flitted across her face. "Just kidding; I know you like your privacy."

Raven nodded; then paused. She'd never exactly put on things like this before; never of her own volition. What if she did it wrong? The heroine looked back up to her communicator to find the villainess still shielding her eyes courteously; then she cleared her throat.

"Actually... I could maybe use some help doing this. I'm not used to things so... Normal." Raven said, a nervous smile on her face. She unbuttoned her costume shyly, letting it fall to the ground and leaving her in her black undies.

Lady Spellbinder slowly uncovered her eyes on screen, a surprisingly concerned look in the woman's eyes. "Are you sure you want this? I mean, I know it can be embarrassing..."

Raven nodded immediately, beginning to think it was natural for this woman to see her change. After all, she visualized this outfit, so surely Raven would be remiss not to let her see its first wearing!

"Okay." Lady Spellbinder shrugged, pointing back to the box. "You'll need to start by grabbing the suspenders that are still in there, though."

Raven blushed and looked back to the container, pulling out a pair of black bands and wondering how she could have missed them. Before she could dwell on it too long, Lady Spellbinder added, "Now put on your shirt; then hook them to your skirt over the striped V-neck."

Raven did as asked, following Lady Spellbinder's instructions to the letter. She had no idea that the woman was such a good fashion coach, but it felt good to follow her orders like that! The witch let a smile play over her face as she also slipped on her leggings and flats, hopping from her bed and posing in the mirror.

She looked cute, a lot cuter than she was used to. Even though her outfit showed off some belly and thigh, the rest of her was covered rather demurely; and the muted black-and-white were right up her alley! Raven slipped on her gloved and smiled, only for her grin to falter.

"No, something's not right..." Lady Spellbinder spoke serenely, giving voice to Raven's inner thoughts. The girl nodded vacantly in agreement, trying to piece together what was wrong with her outfit. No matter how she posed; there just seemed to be something missing...

"Oh! I know! Was there any makeup in that box? I think that would really help out." Lady Spellbinder clicked her fingers as she spoke, a smile on her face.

Raven looked back to the box on her bed in confusion and walked over, scratching her head in exaggerated disbelief. She didn't think she'd missed anything else, but she had been wrong about the suspenders...

Sure enough, a pair of skin dye tubes rested in the bottom of the box, begging to be applied. Raven pulled them out and looked to each inquisitively, finding one was black and one was white. She laid them on the bed and slipped out of her new clothes, folding them and letting them rest on the bed, to keep them from getting stained.

Then she squirted a small dollop of the gel onto her hands, rubbing it over them and watching in surprise as her gray skin became a snow white. This stuff really worked; far better than she'd expected. A single coat was all it took to leave an opaque white coating on her skin, and yet the dye didn't crack as she wiggled her fingers. It was almost like her skin had really become white!

"Ooh, yes. I think that's what we need here. I wasn't sure at first, but I think you'd look great if you were white from head to toe." Lady Spellbinder cooed, her eyes twinkling like she was some fashionista dressing the ugly duckling.

Raven didn't need her to ask twice; the purple-haired woman was completely correct. The Teen Titan happily applied the rest of the dye, lathering it over her skin as though she was taking a shower. It was a little difficult to get it beneath her undergarments while remaining modest, but that's what telekinesis was for.

Only when she was white from head to toe did the girl redress, slipping on her shirt, skirt, leggings, flats, and gloves-in that perfect order, of course. She practically gave herself whiplash when she spun to look at her reflection in the mirror with delight; moaning at the splendid sight before her.

"Oh wow! That's great! But all that white's just begging for some... Excitement, don't you think?" The woman in the communicator chimed in, and Raven nodded.

Of course, of course. Lady Spellbinder was right, as usual. Raven summoned the unused tube of black dye to her hands, opening it with delight. The girl used her psychic powers to add some black tear drops to her cheeks to accentuate the look of a mime, swiping the dark dye around her lips as well. It was a gorgeous contrast on her face; exactly the sort of thing her outfit needed.

"Wow. You look like a million bucks." Lady Spellbinder said, a grin on her face. "There's only one thing missing... Your bow."

Raven tilted her head in confusion, levitating the box to her side and miming shock at the sight of a cute black ribbon sitting in its bottom. She hurriedly picked it out from the box, tying it expertly, as though she'd work it for every day of her life.

This outfit was more than perfect; it was no wonder that she wore it every day. The girl smiled happily to her reflection, looking back to Lady Spellbinder to thank her.

"Stop."

The word halted Raven in her tracks, and she rocked back and forth vacantly, staring at the purple-haired woman on the screen as she began to smile. "You know the problem with Slade, Lex, even Grodd? They always like explaining their master plans before completing them. Must be a male thing; something about finishing first."

The villainess waved her hand idly, looking back to Raven with a cocksure grin. "Me, on the other hand... I like to play things more subtly; holding my hand until the last bets are in, and the game is won. I'll bet you didn't even realize that you were under my influence from the second you set eyes on that little shirt.

"Of course, I'm not the only one who can take credit for it. After all, you've hypnotized yourself, too; ever since you looked at that little box I set for you. It's funny, isn't it? All this time, and all I had to do was have you hypnotize yourself. Go figure!" Lady Spellbinder laughed, and Raven smiled vacantly along, even though there was a quiet part of her mind that began to scream.

"Oh, and on that note; I should be wrapping this monologue. Up. You're a mime." Lady Spellbinder said, her eyes glowing with power. "You're a mime. You're a mime. You're a mime." As she repeated it, Raven's lips worked soundlessly along, repeating the words silently.

It was natural to the girl to be so hushed-she was a mime, after all. The communicator fell harmlessly to the ground with a clatter, a faint laugh coming from its speakers as Raven forgot she had powers to begin with.

Then she looked out to her door, hearing the sound of the Teen Titans returning to the tower. She let a wide smile play across her lips, and the bow bobbed on her head as she strutted silently from the door. She was a mime, and she was eager to show the Teen Titans just why they took her in!
