“Hey you!”

The shout caused the witch’s hands to fly to her pistols, eyes narrowing as she spun to find… a young boy dressed in slightly outlandish garb. While both competing in Smash and hunting angels had left Bayonetta no stranger to challenges, this one was a little… lacking. Her opponent wore a simple blue vest and pair of jeans, and the only defining characteristic he possessed was a red-and-white hat embroidered with a green check mark. All in all, he looked exactly how a ten-year-old would if he thought today was a good day for adventuring.

Bayonetta’s lips curled into a smile as she squeezed the grips to her guns. This was her opponent? She was familiar with fighting espers such as Ness, but this matchup just seemed cruel. “So, little boy, do you think you’re ready to play with a real woman, or am I going to have to send you crying back to your mum?”

As the words left her lips, the boy’s eyes narrowed. He turned his hat backwards and pointed towards her in an exaggerated fashion. “How did someone like you make it into Smash over me? I've represented Nintendo for over ten years, and I've never even seen you!” The boy was clearly agitated with the witch's presence on the stage.

As Bayonetta began to recall who the boy was, she found herself leaning back, laughing. “Oh, I see! You must be that Pokémon trainer who washed-out from the last tournament!”

The boy suddenly looked downcast, with a bothered expression. “A-actually... that was Red... ” But he then looked up to Bayonetta with a defiant glare in his eyes. “But I am another Pokémon trainer! The very best Pokémon trainer! Ash Ketchum!”

A moment of silence passed between the two combatants... and then Bayonetta found herself suppressing another fit of laughter. “You know, I could pretend I cared, but... let’s be frank; you’re not that interesting. Tell me, how does it feel to be upstaged by your own pets?”

Ash growled, pulling out a familiar red-and-white ball. “That does it! Let’s do this! Go, Squirtle!” He called, tossing out a Poké Ball and summoning a small blue turtle to the stage.

“Squirtle, hm? Brings to mind… No, too obvious.” Bayonetta chuckled, ducking low into a heel slide, firing the guns held in her hands and attached to her feet. She connected solidly with the beast and transitioned fluidly into a Witch Twist, spiraling upward with a laugh as her bullets smacked into the blue animal several times.

By this point, the little animal looked more than a bit damaged, and a red glow surrounded it as Ash recalled it into its Poké Ball.

“Squirtle, return! This isn’t good!” As he returned the sphere to his pack in search of another, the trainer found himself yelping as Bayonetta turned her attention towards him.

“You can’t possibly be a regular here... Is this your first fight?” She laughed confidently, one of her hands gliding down her curves. “In that case, let me tell you the same thing I tell every man for their first time: don’t worry, this will only hurt a little.”

Ash squeaked as the witch began to stalk towards him, and he fumbled at his belt for another Poké Ball. “H-hold on, you’re not allowed to attack me! That’s against the rules!”

“Oh? I'm really not the type to bother with such trivial nuanc—”

“G-go, Charizard!” Ash yelped in a panic, tossing a ball at Bayonetta.

To her surprise, it didn’t explode prematurely like she’d expected it to. Rather, the small orb bounced against her chest, a red light streaming from its button and enveloping the witch in a crimson glow.

“Oh, I forgot that he’s technically—” Were the last words Bayonetta heard before she was slurped into a tight, round prison.

The first thing Bayonetta noticed was that it was dark; so much so that she couldn’t even see a glimmer of light. The next thing she noticed was that she was floating, suspended by some invisible force. It was like she was in space again, though this time there were no goddess for her to beat down.

“This is new.” She muttered, only to blink as she realized that her words didn’t quite leave her lips. It seemed that not only was her world devoid of light, but also sound. She pursed her lips tightly; then shuddered as a strange sensation settled along her skin.

It was like she’d been dipped in grease; her skin felt cold and oddly slick. The dark-haired woman tried to run a hand along her arm, only to shudder as she realized that she couldn’t quite move. She grit her teeth and tried to force her body into motion, but that only resulted in her surroundings shaking around herself, and another funny feeling working its way along her body.

This time, her shoulder blades were aching, a little bit at a time. Bayonetta gasped as she could almost feel them pulsating with some sort of strange energy, an almost magnetic force coaxing them out of her body slowly.

What her mind felt was actually correct; her bones really were reshaping, a pair of vestigial wings sprouting from just behind her arms. Bayonetta only became acutely aware of their appearance as the wings grew to such a size that she could actually hear their growth; a strange cracking filling the void around herself.

The woman gasped as new nerves worked their way along her wings, allowing her to genuinely feel them as though they were a part of herself. This latest change let her feel the growth of long membranes along the new limbs behind herself, and she realized that she now sported a pair of almost draconic wings.

The boy had said Charizard… Was she somehow beginning to resemble the orange creature? The thought passed through her mind and Bayonetta frowned with distaste. The orange dinosaur was not exactly the most appealing thing to look at. Such a form was hardy befitting of a woman whose business was hunting angels, she thought with dismay.

Despite her misgivings, the witch could feel that almost slippery sensation coax its way along her body, and she groaned as her muscles shifted with her changing structure. As she began to believe her situation couldn't get any worse, she realized her clothing was beginning to disintegrate; within a few seconds, she was nude and unshielded by her malleable hair.

The thought was a chilling one: was she to be stripped of her witch powers in this change as well? The woman pursed her lips in thought as her hips widened, her legs spreading as if to accommodate a new posture.

Strangely enough, the transformation wasn’t affecting her breasts or her bum, which remained perfectly supple. That said, the rest of her body wasn't nearly as immune to the changes. While Bayonetta could never be called someone with weak legs, she certainly never had muscles this big along her thighs and calves which continued to bulk in size. She began to dearly wish she could see the changes; if only to help her cope with their nature.

She shook her surroundings again in another attempt to escape, only to feel her hands and feet begin to cramp. This was the oddest part of her transformation by far: she could feel her index and ring digits merging together with the next fingers and toes in line, resulting in her having three large claws on each hand and each foot. Her feet bulked up to match her calves, while her hands expanded to resemble large, taloned paws.

The witch pursed her lips tightly with distaste. So, this was how today was going to go… Lovely.

Just as her latest gripe passed through her thoughts, her neck and head began to ache, the most intense changes immediately following the most bizarre. The dark-haired woman pursed her lips tightly together into a frown as her neck stretched out from her shoulders, and her face began to push out into a snout. Her glasses didn’t agree with this, and Bayonetta became acutely aware that they were slipping from her face, only to disappear into the abyss that had claimed her.

She’d never really thought of what it would be like to have a muzzle before, and yet now she was experiencing it firsthand. Her teeth grew long and sharp in her new mouth, and she could feel her nostrils sliding to the front of her face, splitting up to rest at either end of her muzzle.

Her eyes then began to become more reptilian, and her ears slid to the back of her skull; sealing over and becoming a pair of blunt horns. Bayonetta shook her surroundings once more in an attempt to free herself, hoping that her changes were finally at an end.

Unfortunately, the woman had forgotten that every Charizard sports a long, flame-tipped tail. Her eyes widened at the sensation of someone tugging on her backside, and she let out a silent roar as her spine shot out from the rest of her body, stretching out longer and longer as it became a long Pokémon tail. Its tip flared to life with an oddly warm tingling, and Bayonetta shook her world once again, hoping for escape.

While she continued her efforts in vain, a red glow suddenly filled the air around her, an odd complacence filling her mind. The red glow was so hypnotizing; perhaps it would be okay to simply settle into this new body. She could become stronger with her master, after all. And if she was lucky, he would evolve her into a - what the hell was she thinking?

She huffed with caustic disdain for almost allowing herself to fall for such a pitiful attempt at mind control. There weren’t enough badges in the world to tame her, and she wouldn't let herself be reduced to some boy's pet.

Luckily for her, Ash didn’t know this fact, and he released whatever he captured in his Poké Ball out of morbid curiousity. “Go, Chariz-uh?”

The world swam into focus around Bayonetta once more, and she was greeted with an odd view of the world around herself, thanks to her shifted eyes and an orange muzzle that insistently clung to her peripheral vision. Bayonetta glared beneath her mercifully intact eyebrows, with an intense anger in her eyes.

“You little punk! Undo this immediately or you're going to regret it!" Was what she wanted to say. Instead, what came out was, “Guh-garooo!” Bayonetta howling the familiar cry of a Charizard. She blinked in surprise, covering her snout with her large orange claws. Was she no longer capable of speech?

“Grrrwarwl.” She said eloquently, working her jaw as she looked down to her lower body, raising her right leg to get a good look at her foot. Though her larger legs still retained some slenderness to them, her foot was ungainly enough that she’d never wear heels again. She pounded it into the ground with a sigh of dismay, realizing she’d no longer be able to use her gun-heels; then craned her neck to look at her wings and tail.

Much to her surprise, though this body was indeed a little larger than she was used to, it was nonetheless flexible. In fact, it seemed that most of her new bulk stemmed from the toned, lean muscle that added to her own. She could turn her longer neck in ways she’d never known before, actually seeing the small of her back without the usage of a mirror.

Sure enough; she was orange from head to toe, though her wings were blue and her belly was a light tan. She could still feel the wind in her hair, so at least she had that; although perhaps retaining her hairstyle made her new form look even more out of place.

Bayonetta slowly looked back to Ash with disdain, finding that he’d been admiring her new body as much as she’d been—if not more so. It made sense; her body retained its feminine curves, and she wasn't exactly the type of Charizard Ash was familiar with. That said, Ash’s eyes were fixated not on her body but on her bare breasts, their nipples as tan as her belly; his focus causing Bayonetta to huff with irritation. Her tail burned brighter as she did, and that seemed to bring her opponent back to the present.

“W-well I guess that worked out.” Ash blinked slowly, clearly just as confused with the whole situation. Then he blinked in surprise, a slow smile dawning on his face. “W-wait! That means I can control you, right? Charizard, use Flamethrower!”

His last remark irritated Bayonetta greatly, her tail swishing behind her, its tip still maddeningly burning. Well, at least he gave her an idea… She took in a deep breath; then released a torrent of fire that left the boy lightly charred, covered in a black coat befitting his name.

“W-what are you doing? Don’t tell me she’s just as hard to tame as my old Charizard was!” Ash bemoaned loudly. Unfortunately for him, his conjecture was correct, and with a loud roar, Bayonetta swung her flame-tipped tail at him.

It was like he was just hit with a fully charged Home-Run Bat.

One second, Ash was on the same stage as Bayonetta. Then he was curled around her long orange limb, all the air leaving his body in a loud wheeze. Finally, physics caught up with the boy, and he was hurtled into the void, vanishing into a twinkling star.

“So that’s what that feels like!” He called, the last word seeming to echo through the air. Then the sound vanished, in time with the chime of the star that marked his departure.

Bayonetta turned her long neck to look behind her, waiting for him to respawn. A little to her surprise, she found he wasn’t coming back. It must have been his last stock… or he’d been unlocked as another character. “Guhrrr.” Bayonetta growled lowly, hoping that Ash wasn’t a character she'd be running into again. If he was, she might have to put killing angels on hold in favor of punishing him.

And on the note of killing angels… She looked down to her large and clumsy clawed hands with a huff of distaste. There was no way she could fight as she did before, not like this! Perhaps it was at least acceptable for her not to wear clothes… though there were probably no longer any outfits suitable for her regardless.

The Poké-witch sighed and growled lowly, stomping back from the stage to her newly redesigned select screen. As she realized her hope of reverting post-match was denied, Bayonetta rolled her eyes in displeasure. She'd have to figure out how to deal with this… unique body of hers.
