Sarah was in the mood to get something new to wear. Which, naturally, meant that she’d decided to take a trip to the local post office. There was a very specific breed of people who could consistently irk her enough to force them into an object’s form. And these people never ceased to disappoint.
There was a woman behind the front counter snapping her gum while her coworker, an elderly man, struggled to meet the lunch hour rush. A pair of collegiates chatted idly, not noticing how the line was moving ahead of them. There were even a couple of delivery drivers lounging in the back, idling when they should have been working.
Sarah’s lip curled slightly as she watched the marvel of inefficiency in action, waiting in line behind a particularly obese woman seeking to return something bought on ebay. The sorceress flexed her arms, preparing to unleash waves of change; then she noticed that a woman two places ahead of her had a package bound for Iraq.
Sarah did her best to lean pas the morbidly fat woman. “Boyfriend overseas?” She called out, getting the other woman’s attention.
She turned, holding her box as though it was the most precious thing in the world to her. “Yeah, how’d you guess?” The blonde smiled shyly.
“Not too many people…” Sarah trailed off as the fat woman shifted, making the sorceress change her angle. “Not too many people would voluntarily send something over there; especially if they’re not from around those parts.”
The blonde started to speak again, but the whale between them swayed again, blocking them once more. The obese woman was reaching into her purse to pull out what looked like Cheetos. Whether they were hidden in a smaller bag or the woman simply filed her purse with them; Sarah couldn’t say.
Instead of musing on this for longer, Sarah leaned back the original way, beaming as she saw a look of exasperation on the blonde’s face. “Tell you what, I’ll ship that for you!” Sarah called loudly.
The woman blinked in surprise, looking down to the box, then back up to Sarah. “Really?” She asked back, checking the paperwork to make sure the package was in order.
“Yeah. In return, you head over to the nearby Starbuck’s and get me something good. Sound like a deal?” Sarah winked, subtly putting a little bit of a charming spell behind it.
Sure enough, the woman nodded contentedly, slipping out from the line. She walked past, handing Sarah her package. “What’ll you have?”
“Anything as long as it’s a Venti.” Sarah grinned, taking the woman’s package delicately. She waited for the woman to leave the post office before turning back to the crowd before her. Sarah might be a witch, but she wasn’t a monster; she had a heart, too.
“That’s a good deed you did there.” The obese woman waddled around to speak with Sarah, unintentionally spraying the witch with flecks of half-chewed chips.
“Yeah…” Sarah somehow managed to keep herself from nausea. “But then again, I think that I do the good to make up for the bad.” Her eyes flashed with power and the obese woman cried out in surprise, feeling something odd all over her body.
Her skin started to turn a light shade of cotton, stitching slowly working its way across her form. She let out a distressed yell, feeling her body begin to get lighter and lighter, somehow.
Then Sarah increased the flow of magic, forming a seam at the top of the woman’s head.
The results were both gratifying and immediate: A small divot appeared at the top of the woman’s head, drawing further and further down as though she was a cell undergoing mitosis.
“W-what’s happening to me?” The woman shrieked, beginning to catch the attention of everyone else in the room. She screamed aloud as she split down the middle, her two mouths getting wider and wider even as her arms disappeared back into her her generous body.
Sarah spun, firing a locking spell on the door. Just in time, too-some of the people had tried to make a break for the exit in fear. Instead, they only found themselves trapped in a room with witch well-versed in change.
The fat woman began to shrink down into her clothes, her hair curling around her mouth to form a wooly trim. Her body kept lightening, flesh and muscle giving way to cotton and stitching. Down and down she went, until there was nothing left but a pair of socks in her oversized clothing.
“You seemed to be rather incapable of taste. So I figured that you, of all people, wouldn’t mind becoming a pair of winter socks.” Sarah chuckled, rummaging through the woman’s clothing to pull out the thick-knit clothing. “Perfect.”
As she bent over, a man tried to charge her, raising his fist to attack.
Instead, the woman he was with grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him back. “Aidan, please! Don’t; just listen to what she wants to say!” The woman, no doubt his girlfriend, shrieked.
“Kellie, if you don’t let me go then she’s just going to change us anyways! At least give me a chance to protect you!” He cried, his eyes wide as the smaller woman held him back.
“Oh, isn’t that sweet?” Sarah chuckled. “Even if you might have been a little more wise to just let him go. Then again, if you did, then you wouldn’t become a matching pair.” She swept her hands forward, freezing the brown-haired couple in place.
“N-no!” The girl squeaked, her arms already beginning to fuse to her sides even as her legs snapped together.
Her boyfriend opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out in response. Instead, his mouth simply grew wider and wider; the back of his head drawing out in what was unmistakably a stiletto heel.
His girlfriend was going through a remarkably similar transformation, and the girl wet silently as her shin started to turn to a glossy black leather. She wobbled, falling onto her side even as her body hollowed out.
“Hope you don’t mind, but I’m doing my winter and my spring shopping at the same time. And I’ve been looking for a new set of heels.” Sarah winked with a smile, walking over to the transforming couple and stroking their changing leather.
The lazy employee behind the counter screamed, her face coloring a shade of red that was remarkably similar to her pink-dyed hair. “Like, why aren’t you doing anything?” She spun, shrieking at her coworker.
The old man shrugged, propping his cheek up on his hand. He looked out to Sarah with a tired smile. “Aren’t you a little early this season?” He called with a small chuckle.
Sarah slipped off her shoes, looking back to the man with a grin. The first time she’d come here for a ‘shopping spree’, Reggie had been a remarkable help in coming up with some styles for her clothing. She’d left him human and hadn’t regretted it; he’d always been a help even at his mundane job.
“It’s been a bad week.” Sarah smiled at him, brushing some of her hair behind her head as she slipped her feet into the mouths of the changing people. Their transformations were very nearly done. The couple’s only remaining things were their eyes, which gazed pleadingly up at Sarah.
The powerful woman considered leaving them those, so they could constantly see what they’d become. But that would be a little too much hassle for what it was worth. Instead, she waved a hand, transforming these last human aspects into a set of glittering gems.
“I can imagine!” Reggie chuckled. “You usually don’t make such quality things unless you’re in a mood. If it helps, work here has been pretty bad for us, too. Well, for me.” He sent an idle glare to his coworkers.
“Oh?” Sarah grinned, testing out her new shoes. Breaking formerly human clothing in was always one of her favorite things to do. She wiggled her toes inside the couple’s mouths, knowing that they could feel it.
Reggie chuckled as he nodded his assent. “I’m thinking…” He pointed at them one by one. “Dress, pantyhose, and a nice bra for yourself.”
“Sounds like a plan.” Sarah fired a pulse of magic into the air, grinning hugely as the former postal service employees began to change. The drivers could only scream in distress, wasting their last moments of human speech.
One driver’s legs vanished into his hips, leaving him to fall to the floor even as his skin turned a vibrant red. Intricate stitching worked its way across his body, forming an elaborate pattern that was typically reserved for modeling catwalks.
His fellow driver was hardly as lucky. Her upper body simply melted away into her lower half. She squealed in distress as she began to become a pair of pantyhose, already feeling herself getting lighter and lighter. She began to weep at how abhumanly thin she was becoming.
The last postal worker spent her last few seconds cursing out Reggie, slumping forward onto her desk as her legs pulled back up into herself; her arms looping around herself to form a pair of straps. Her breasts became simple cups, and ironically enough these were larger than the bra that she’d been wearing moments before. Finally, slowest of all, comfy padding and polymeric wires slipped within her fabric binding.
The three workers had finished their changes, and Sarah chuckled, slipping the blonde’s package onto Reggie’s counter. Then Sarah walked up to the group, undressing herself as she did. Reggie politely averted his gaze, instead occupying himself with the package she’d dropped off for him.
“Nothing like custom-fit clothes.” She said with a grin, pulling her new pantyhose out of the changed woman’s pants. Sarah took off her shoes again, this time to slip on the thin leggings. As expected, they were luxuriously soft, and she trailed her fingers along them, a small smile on her face. The transformed woman could feel every bit of it, her form gripping tightly onto Sarah’s calves, thighs, and groin.
The witch didn’t stop there, though. She walked up to the counter, pulling a bra from the changed woman’s shirt. “There, there.” She cooed, feeling the trapped woman’s mind struggling. “This is the closest you’ll ever come to having a decent chest.” Sarah laughed, clasping her new top on snugly.
She headed over to the dress next, undoing what was once a man from his uniform. “Wow, I outdid myself this time!” She said with a huge smile, sliding it on over her other transformed clothing. It was a slinky strapless affair, fit to hold to her every curve. She wiggled the dress over her breasts, turning her head to look back at the postal worker. “Zip me?”
“Gladly.” He smiled, finishing her box. He whistled a jaunty tune, gripping her zipper and pulling it up. As he did, two things happened: First, the zipper disappeared as though it had never been a part of the dress. Second, Reggie felt a little younger, his cancer going back into remission once again.
That was their other part of the deal: He covered up Sarah’s shopping sprees and she gave him the best medical service on the planet. It worked out exceptionally well for them, and as she turned he thanked her with an earnest smile.
“Any time, Reg.” Sarah laughed, pre-empting the man’s question. She padded back to her heels, sticking her driver-clad feet into the couple’s faces. As she turned again, she saw the blonde woman from before pulling back into the post office’s parking lot, stepping from her car with a set of drinks.
Sarah hurriedly vanished the obese woman’s clothing, strutting over to her new pair of socks. She picked them up just as the blonde re-entered the post office with a sigh of agitation.
“You would not believe how long it took me to get these. Honestly, the service there is so god-awful.” She groaned, arching an eyebrow as she noticed Sarah’s new stylish clothes.
“I ordered some fun things online.” Sarah explained dismissively, waving her hand. Then she paused, a slow smile settling on her face. “But do tell me more about that Starbuck’s…”
