(Man to Various D&D Monsters)
(Woman to Various D&D Monsters)

-Hannah, Human-

I grinned at the sign in front of us, hugging Mitch’s arm protectively. “See honey? ‘Fantasy Photos’. I knew that Joan had booked us for a fun couple’s experience.”

“Just like our last few?” Mitch smirked back at me with a grin on his face. “As fun as it was to have you hilted within me, I don’t really feel up for swapping genders again. Or for becoming monsters.”

“Oh, please. Joan said we’d be changing into some Dungeons and Dragons creatures, not into monsters. I’m sure we’ll change into things like catfolk, centaurs, and maybe a Warforged.” I waved him off with an easygoing smile, opening the door happily. “Hello? We’re here to model for your catalog?”

It was a simple and fun date: the company apparently was contracted by TransFun to take pictures of some of their new fantasy serums for live action roleplay. Of course Joan had leapt on the opportunity the moment it presented itself, but her work had called in and she’d left us in charge of making sure the pictures went through.

It was supposed to be just a bunch of quick-change samples, nothing more than that. Still, Joan was awfully vague on what the creatures we’d be becoming were…

“Oh, hello!” A man—or rather, an Elf—sprang up to greet us. “I’m your photographer today; you can call me Dave.”

“An Elf named Dave?” I smiled at him, casually looking back to Mitch with a smile. If the photographer was any sign as to what we’d become, I knew that he’d have a fun time in changing with me.

“Oh, don’t mind the form.” The man laughed, waving idly. “I figured I might need a more dexterous form to get the best pictures possible of my new monsters.”

My face fell as Mitch leaned in to my ear, smugly whispering. “I. Told. You. So.”

I swatted his cheek playfully, looking to the photographer. “So… We’ll be becoming monsters, then?”

“Why, of course!” He pulled out a phone, tapping on it. “You’ll become things like our friend the Ankheg here…” He waved behind himself, smiling. The wall he gestured to flickered into a scene of a massive insectoid creature, with oversized pincers, questing antennae, and six insectoid legs that ended in nasty hooks.

“Or the Avolakia…”

This time it revealed a squirming grub with stalks covering its body, all of which ended in fly-like eyes. Its puckered mouth was surrounded by three spiked tentacles, and an assortment of scythes and chitinous arms flanked these.

“A Beholderkin Overseer…”

This one looked like someone had taken acid before trying to drawn an octopus. It had suckered tentacles, but also several great and slavering mouths. Eye-stalks covered its body, looking like they’d been casually tethered on with glue.

“A Chuul…”

This one was just an oversized lobster-ant with huge claws, though it did sport several pink tentacles from its mouth.

“Ooh, or a Chwidencha!”

I shivered at the sight of a large monster that seemed to just be made of spider legs tipped with talons.

Dave beamed as he tapped his phone again. “Of course, we also have some more for you, like the Neothelid…”

The screen showed a leech-laden worm whose head opened into a flower tipped with teeth.

“The Odopi…”

This time it was a monster made of hands whose palms all ended in eyes.

“And my favorite, the Otyugh….”

This was a three-legged monster whose body was a giant slavering mouth. It had three tentacles, two of which were tipped with barbed hooks and one of which was covered with eyes.

The screen froze on this and Mitch sighed, putting his hands in his pockets. “I’ll take that one to start us off, then.”

I looked at him with wide eyes. “Really?” I hadn’t imagined for one second that he’d be okay with this!

Mitch smiled. “Yeah. But Joan owes us.” He looked back to the photographer with an easygoing grin on his face. “Now then… Let’s get to work, shall we? You call dibs on your monsters, and I’ll take mine.”

I tapped my lip idly, then said my choices with a small smile, hoping that Mitch liked the forms I’d left him with.

He nodded back at me, and I smiled at him eagerly. “Well then. Let’s get to work.

-Mitch, Otyugh-

Well. This was certainly new. I hadn’t entirely expected my head to bloat and my body to wither back into myself as I grew new limbs, but that was just normal change. Walking with three legs wasn’t that bad either—thankfully my serum came with a nice set of instincts.

No, what really confused me about this new form was seeing with the eye-laden tentacle atop my head. I swiveled it to look more at my thick hide, turning it up a moment later to look at Dave curiously. This was too surreal; it was like I was viewing everything through an omnidirectional periscope!

His camera flashed and I blinked it from all of my eyes, hissing apprehensively. His lips moved for a few seconds, and with a start I realized I was deaf. He noticed it a second later, then mimed for me to take a wider, angry stance.

I grinned, my fanged maw drooling as I splayed my two dinosaur-like front legs apart. My side tentacles moved back, as though they were whips about to strike, and I raised the top tentacle of my head to bristle angrily, my slitted eyes all glaring at the camera.

Then I let out a loud roar, opening the mouth which served as my main body. My long tongue dangled loose from its dripping maw, and I grinned at the amused look Hannah was giving me. I was going for something a little more terrifying, but as long as she was happy, I was happy.

-Hannah, Ankheg-

I scuttled over to Dave, relishing how much this form felt like the giant spider I’d become just a few weeks ago. Despite that, this felt relatively new, my segmented carapace acting like a centipede’s, covered in segmented plates.

He gave me a thumbs-up, snapping several pictures of me with a grin and a thumbs-up. My antennae waved at the air as he did, and I drank deep of the flavor of the room. There was no real human word for the sensations a pair of antennae could detect—it was like I could pick up vibrations through the air as well as smell and taste.

I waved them over to Mitch as I reared back on my hind legs, exposing my tough and segmented thorax to the camera. This was god, a nice and easy change to get things started.

I clicked my large fangs together, rubbing them against one another hungrily. It was really amazing how I could control each of the appendages independently—it was like moving half of my jaw up and down and the other half in small circles.

My two sets of rear talons hooked themselves into the ground to stabilize myself, and I screeched for the camera, letting my oversized pincers splay wide for Dave’s benefit.

He certainly seemed to approve, snapping several pictures of how large and spiny I was, commenting on… My intimidating form? Something like that. I couldn’t quite hear, my antennae only picking up the vibrations. It was like trying to listen to someone underwater, but between those vibrations and my eyes, I was able to approximate his words, following his instructions.

-Mitch, Chuul-

I clacked my oversized pincers, remembering how odd it had felt for my hands to morph into these giant things. I was like something straight out of a Pokémon game come to life! No doubt Hannah would judge me for associating this with the Nintendo series and not Dungeons and Dragons, but I hadn’t really done any tabletop RPGs until I’d met her.

That said, forms like these were definitely making me reconsider that. My dangling tentacles flicked our from under my chitinous maw, and I sampled at the very flavor of the air. Dave’s Elf body smelled of the woods, and though Hannah had the unmistakable saltiness of a human, she also retained the buggy aroma of just having been covered in carapace.

Speaking of carapace… I felt like my new claws could snap through that Ankheg body she’d sported with ease. It was like I was a living tank, my powerful legs keeping my thick body upright. I looked down to Dave, musing on how simple it would be to snap him in half like a twig.

That in mind, I posed for his camera with an extended claw, making it look like I was grasping for him. They were my most prominent feature, so I might as well show them off, right? I pulled my second pincer back, arching it as though I was just about to strike with it.

Dave eagerly snapped up the pictures, loving my pose. I was a natural at this, and he seemed to love every one of my poses. I’d love to see Hannah try and beat that.

-Hannah, Odopi-

AH! Okay! Hands! Hands everywhere!

That was the thought I’d had as my body shriveled into a small bud, almost like a seed. Then countless arms had sprouted from myself.

When I say ‘countless’, I do indeed mean ‘countless’. I had experimented with having a few more limbs before, but right now I had dozens of the things! It was a cacophony of sensation, and my mind struggled to reel in the tremendous motions my new form was capable of.

And all of these orangeish arms ended in a sharp-clawed hand, with four digits that surrounded a yellowed eye with no lid. It was protected by some sort of membrane, allowing me to even walk on my hands without hurting my eyes.

Speaking of, walking on eyes is not an experience that I’d ever recommend to anyone. While it didn’t hurt at all, I certainly had to resist the urge to flinch every time I saw the ground looming ever-closer.

I could see so much of the world and so much of myself, yet witnessing the ground like that still instinctively threw me off. Hell, even the monster’s instincts weren’t quite enough to keep me from checking the floor for sharp objects, in worries that an eye might get injured.

Out of curiosity, I focused on one of my rearmost arms, knowing it wasn’t that useful to see through it. I clenched its fist to trail my taloned fingers along my eye, mentally grinning with delight as I didn’t so much as scratch the sclera. Okay, that was actually really comforting—my eyes were apparently impervious to scratches and light injury.

I was very glad I did a moment later, because Dave took my indecisive stance as an invitation to pose me. I bit back the urge to flinch away, reminding myself that he couldn’t hurt my eyes when I was like this. The elf nimbly skittered along my limbs, moving all of them so that my eyes were glaring at the camera, all of my hands menacingly perched forwards as though I’d grab it at any second.

The Elf grinned to himself; then leapt back, springing back to his camera with a confident smile. The flash bulb flared as he took picture after picture, but I could tell from the small frown on his face that it didn’t look quite right.

How would this monster look if it was hunting? I let my mind focus on the Odopi’s instincts, imagining that Dave was my prey and I a predator.

My arms bristled with tension, and I brought my upper limbs upright, all of them glaring and arching their hands menacingly, pulling their fingers back so their yellowed orbs were practically bulging from their palms. My foremost eyes I kept angled towards the camera, but I angled some of the side ones away, as though checking for a hunting party.

To that effect, I also made some of my wide and back arms orient themselves in random directions, lending myself an organic look. This felt completely natural; completely right to me. And I saw through the two dozen or so eyes that I kept on Dave that he much agreed.

The photographer eagerly snapped pictures of me, my stance eating up the film. I knew it would; there was just so much going on with this body that it would be hard to contain myself with but a single image. Mitch would be hard-pressed to outdo that.

-Mitch, Chwidencha-

Well, Hannah had chosen a form that was all arms; so a body that was all legs seemed a natural idea to follow it. At least, that’s what I’d thought at the time. But a few seconds into the change and I was immediately regretting this brash idea.

One second, I had felt okay. The next, my head had erupted into a tangled mess of spidery legs, my body soon swallowed up by the rest of them. My legs had grown longer and longer with every passing second, a writhing mass of chitin and claw. Every leg was tipped in a wickedly sharp tip, and I could feel them scraping against the ground as my body had dwindled to almost nothing ness within my scuttling legs.

Then all of my legs had sprouted hair, and I had shivered as a wealth of sensation bloomed within my body. Every hair could pick up subtle vibrations in the air, interpreting them as sound. Suddenly the world had gotten a lot louder, and I could only keep myself from panicking by focusing on the steady sound of Hannah’s breathing.

“You okay in there, Mitch?” Dave asked, his voice sounding like a truck’s horn. I flinched and waved my legs down, motioning him to be quiet. While I couldn’t see his reaction, he must have gotten the hint because his next words were softer.

“Oh, sorry. Feeling all right? Tap your front claws against the floor if you are.”

It took me a moment to realize what he was talking about. My body had no discernable front or back; it was just a tangle of limbs. Then I realized he meant the legs which were facing him.

Of course, this brought about a new level of challenge: I had to focus on just a few dozen of my legs, making sure that they were the only ones to move. Thankfully for my poor brain, my body was very responsive, and it took me just a few tries to get the motion down.

I repeated the gesture to make sure that Dave got the message. He did, and I felt the air move around his face as he broke into a smile. Then I grinned as I noticed Hannah’s pulse was increasing. Aw, poor baby. Was she afraid of me? It’d be such a shame if I were to act even scarier.

“Okay, now I want you to climb up the wall.” Dave said, practically reading my mind.

I bobbed my huge form, then scuttled up the wall, figuring out how to work my dozens of legs after a moment’s indecision. Just like that monster TF, I had to give into the instincts of my body and move as a predator.

My talons held fast to the surface of the wall, and I flexed my legs apprehensively. Below me, Hannah seemed to be rooted to the ground in terror, her frame unmoving and still. Well, if this was bothering her, I’d definitely get a good kick out of her reaction to my face.

I scuttled higher, fining the ceiling. Then I reversed the grip of my front legs, kicking them up to hold onto the tiles above me. This had the added effect of exposing my underside to Dave and Hannah, revealing a wickedly grotesque mouth that began to drool uncontrollably. I wriggled the maw, hissing loudly through it as small chitinous legs around it wiggled hungrily.

Hannah screamed, and I knew my job was well done. I chortled with amusement as Dave snapped pictures of me, and I wondered how Hannah would think she could top this body; this horrifyingly spidery form.

-Hannah, Beholderkin Overseer-

Well, if Mitch wanted to be an asshole… I grit my teeth and downed the vial, pouting at him as he continued to laugh.

“Keep laugh—AIEEE!” A keening shriek erupted from my mouth as my vocal chords twisted and reshaped, and just like that I exploded.

I mean, I didn’t literally explode, but at the same time… By lower body blew out into a writhing mass of octopus tentacles, and my head blew up like the T-1000’s at the end of Terminator 2. At least, the top of my head did. The bottom half kept screaming, my lips pulling back to reveal a slavering mouth that only grew wider, bifurcating; then splitting again almost like it was undergoing mitosis.

I had four mouths! Four mouths! Somehow this was even more extreme than having hundreds of hands, and I shivered at the sensations from all of them. I could feel every single one of them drool and slaver openly, thick mucus running past my fangs onto my tongues.

And all of my tongues could taste my new saliva—which, incidentally, was not as rancid as I’d anticipated. Rather, it felt like my taste buds had changed to have no appreciation for flavor. Instead, everything was ‘Food’, ‘Not Food’, or ‘Drool’; none of which tasted particularly foul.

Small eyes grew out from the stalagmite of viscera that was the top of my head, eyes that all blinked in confusion as I grew used to seeing through this new vision. Everything was murky, and with a start I realized it was because my eyes now dripped a constant stream of pus, fluid as juicy as the slime that seemed to gently coat my skin now.

My skin was black, slimy like an octopus’s. But that was where the comparison ended. What I thought were suction cups were actually tiny, wriggling legs on my tentacles. I used these to creep along the floor, letting out another keening shriek from all four of my drooling mouths.

“Oh my God, that’s perfect! Hang on!” I swiveled some of my dripping eye stalks to see Dave leaping atop a ladder, looking down on me as he hungrily snapped picture after picture of my body. Then I turned a stalk to Mitch, hungrily chortling as I saw he looked like he was the most confused he’d ever been in his life.

Of course he’d think it strange for his girlfriend to come into a monster with so many mouths and tentacles, but I was hoping he’d find it to be a little more frightening than that. I hissed agitatedly, then turned my attention back to the camera, basking in its lens as Dave recorded this transformation for prosperity.

I wiggled some of my tentacley body, letting my eye-stalks dangle and droop as his bulb flashed again and again, making sure he didn’t miss a second of my transformation. I wriggled the mass of flesh that was now my body, letting by branching eyes stretch higher as I reared back for an action shot.

Of course Dave loved it, the photographer dropping low to snap a few more pictures of us. “Keep it up girl, keep it up! You’re doing wonderfully!”

This new body was so weird! I didn’t even know how I was hearing him—maybe it was the little vents along the sides of my rippling flanks. No doubt Joan would love it, but I honestly couldn’t wait to get out of it.

Then again… The perturbed look on Mitch’s face was making this much more tolerable. I hissed appreciatively, letting another shriek erupt from my lips. I really, really wanted to frighten him though, so I dipped back into the mind of my body, letting my instincts take control over a part of me.

Immediately, a large shudder ran through my body, and I realized how the monstrous thing normally hunted. It had eyes, but those weren’t to see, but were rather to orient. Instead, I had to act as though I was blind, letting my writhing tentacles scuttle around me, thrashing about in sight of food.

I had to act like some sort of monstrous, carnivorous plant, and I sank deeply into it, letting my branching eyes remain still like a trunk, and using my ‘roots’ to flail about in search of food. My four mouths began to act independently of one another, some shrieking and some slavering.

The one nearest Mitch and Dave snapped its jaws open and shut, my tentacles making soft, flicking motions as though I was searching for something to scoop up and toss into my maw.

This time, Mitch seemed genuinely worried, his expression matching the one he wore when I’d become a Xenomorph. Speaking of, I wondered when we’d have another Alien marathon; it’d be fun to become something like that again…

My big body gurgled loudly, its jaws snapping as though to get my attention again. Right, I had to focus! Right now, I was a Beholderkin, and one of the biggest ones, at that!

It seemed that neither Dave nor Mitch had noticed my lapse, my body’s writhing tentacles still moving while I was distracted. With a small surge of surprise, I realized that this form would still move as erratically were I asleep, devouring anything that stumbled upon it.

Well, while eating anyone here was out of the question, it certainly seemed that I was devouring the camera’s film; shot after shot from Dave capturing my body for his catalog.

-Mitch, Avolakia-

Of course we had to save the worms for last. Thinking of that, I had chosen the Avolakia, and was loving it so far. Granted, it was a little odd to see my lower body become a slime-producing, grubby tail, but the sensations from it were more than enough to keep me from reflecting further on those screams Hannah had made.

I wriggled my new arms in the air, confused at how some of them were spiked talons and others were tendril-like hands. There were around eight of them, arranged seemingly at random around the upper part of my grub-like body. Some of my new ‘shoulders’ had three limbs on them; others had one.

My eyes, on the other hand, were far more evenly spaced—at least, the upper ones were. They were arranged just under the sphincter that was my mouth, spaced evenly apart in a circle. It allowed me a perfect range of view, and I let my instincts take the wheel over this surround-sound sight.

I had to let my instincts run with my lower eyes, too. Those were all attached to these tentacles around my belly, complete with little talons around them. The tentacles each had suction cups which constantly oozed slime, and the eyes there were… Well, they were more than a little bizarre.

Each of them looked like a fly’s compound eyes, but the grid that trailed along each of them was actually like a speaker, letting me hear through them. Unfortunately, all of them had an extremely limited range of hearing, and I had to keep two of them pointed at Hannah and Dave at all times.

“Oh my God… You’re actually kind of cute.” Hannah laughed. “At least compared to that spidery thing you were a little bit ago.”

I tilted my head, flexing the three spiny tentacles which surrounded it in confusion.

“I mean… Try walking!” She clarified, motioning to Dave.

“Yeah! Good idea, Hannah!” He beamed back at her, holding up his camera and starting to shutter a series of photos.

I crooned determinedly, trying to wriggle forward a little. The action caused me to stumble on my eye stalks, and I immediately fell on my face.

From my new position on the ground, I hissed with irritation, using my eye-tentacles to push myself upright. Thinking hard, I tried again. This time, I used my tentacles’ suction cups, casting two of my tentacles ahead and using the strong limbs to pull myself a little forward.

Then I repeated the process with two more, releasing the hold the first pair had on the ground. My fifth tentacle I kept flitting between Dave and Hannah, hearing each of them speak.

“My God, honey! That is freaky as hell!”

“Keep it coming, man! Doing good, feeling good! Work that camera!”

I chortled with amusement, waving my upper limbs about with pride. It was crazy, having so many appendages to move despite this body! I looked to Hannah with contentment as she congratulated me more, hoping that she’d like her wormy body as much as I liked mine.

-Hannah, Neothelid-

I was blind! Oh God, I was blind!

I quaked mentally, instinctively coiling my tail around myself protectively. I’d sworn to myself that I’d do my best to not change into something without any vision, and now here I was as a massive ten-ton worm.

I curled around myself tighter, the spines on the outside of my body bristling as I whipped my tail agitatedly. I pulled myself into a tighter and more complex knot, wishing that Mitch could have taken this one.

“Hey honey, you okay?” He asked.

I shivered with surprise. I could hear him! I gently bobbed my massive head, crooning worriedly.

“Hey, focus on my voice, babe. You’re huge; nobody can challenge you; and you’re really making this look good.”

I crooned again, this time a little calmer. I lifted my large head from the knotted pile that was my body, beginning to uncoil it.

“That’s it, babe.” Mitch reassured me more, and I crooned again, letting my body take the helm.

To my surprise, my instincts were full of cunning and thought, thinking to act more vulnerable to lure Mitch and Dave in; then to snatch them up in my large maw. I had the sneaking suspicion that I was supposed to have some more supernatural powers, but these were stripped from this form for the sake of safety.

Well, so be it. I could certainly intimidate them enough as is! A sadistic streak of my Chaotic Evil body entered my mind, and I peeled open my head like a flower, letting my barbed tendril-like tongue taste the air, revel in the fear.

Well, in some fear. Of course Dave enthusiastically whooped, snapping photo after photo, using his Elven body to jump across his room time and time again, making sure to capture my visage from every angle.

But while he was loving this, Mitch certainly wasn’t. The man was quaking in fear, looking and feeling horridly disturbed. Good! His fear only fed my ego, making me feel even more confident.

“Hey! Why don’t you wriggle those tentacles at your boyfriend, like you’re getting ready to swallow him whole?” Dave chirped, leaping behind Mitch with a grin.

Tentacles? I fluttered my petal-like maw in confusion. What tentacles? Didn’t I just have a single tongue—albeit one with a few holes in it?

I dipped a little more into the mind of my body, and just like that I realized that the funny feeling I’d had in my mouth wasn’t having a porous tongue—it was that I was trying to keep four tongues together as one! I split them apart and waved them as mesmerizingly as I could, wriggling them seemingly at random.

It was so bizarre to have these writhing tentacles extended form my mouth; having so many well-articulated tongues. I’d never imagined that I could have such control over my tongue, and yet now I could easily move four of them!

“Good! Now give me a roar!”

I swear, the photographer was a genius! I roared, letting my massive tongues thrash about in the air, snaking around as though they were questing for the food that lay in plain sight. I was an apex predator, and Mitch was just like my prey.

No! He was my prey; the first snack for the mighty empire of bones I would build!

Before I knew what I was doing, I lunged at him, relishing his terror and anticipating the feeling of him sliding down my gullet.

Thankfully for him, TransFun’s safety measures kicked in before I could make my boyfriend into a meal, and my body froze on the spot. Relief flooded through me as I regained control of my mind from my instincts, and I wriggled my tentacles as though I was just acting.

Then, I dipped my huge head to get closer to Mitch, carefully snaking the smooth parts of my tongues around his body, making extra sure not to hurt him. My body seemed willing to agree—though that evil mind it held was railing against my own, urging me to swallow my boyfriend whole.

I fought it back, instead pulling him a little into my maw, posing for the camera. To my surprise, Mitch wasn’t struggling too much; instead falling limp inside my jaw as though he was terrified and waiting for this experience to end. He acted like that on roller coasters too; it was really cute.

I used this love for Mitch to keep my form under my direct control for the rest of the change, determined to make sure I didn’t have any other ‘accidents’—especially not when he was so close to beign swallowed.

-Mitch, Human-

I watched as Hannah returned to her human form, letting a tired sigh of relief as she reverted from creepy to adorably sexy. That last form was actually scary; I really thought she was going to eat me!

“So… Are we done with monsters for the day?” I asked, a tired grin on my face.

She looked back to me with an odd smile; then picked out a pair of vials from her pile of clothes. She blushed at me as she spoke, grinning hopefully. “I was actually thinking… Perhaps we could try a pair in private? A Terrasque and a Gel Cube?”

“Oh?” I asked, my curiosity piqued. Then I looked to the photographer and back to Hannah. “Well, since we’re being so adventurous… Why not get some pictures to remember the experience by?”

Dave laughed. “It’ll hardly be the oddest photo shoot I’ve done.”

I nodded, snatching the Terrasque vial from my girlfriend. “What do you say, honey? One last change for each of us?”

Hannah’s response was to quaff her serum, her skin immediately beginning to ooze slime from every pore.

I grinned as I uncorked my own. Perhaps, I thought as I brought the vial to my lips, today wouldn’t be such a loss after all.
