She thought change was something beyond her grasp.
Until a day her wish came true at last
Her skin changed slow, transforming to a green
Of plants; of life in a way she'd not seen.
Leaves came first, brought on by this new power,
From her buds had she begun to flower,
Into the ground, her roots did dig so deep,
And just like that, her change was now complete.
She thought of what others must surely see
A pleased flower, cute and finally free.
