(Woman to Duck, Woman to Giraffe, Woman to Kangaroo, Woman to Pelican, Man and Women to Earthworms)
“Ladies and gentlemen! Welcome to a special ‘first episode’ of Wheel of Change! Our show’s been approved for a full season, so we’ve hammered out some of the rules and have taken some of your comments into our notice.” Alan Thompson boomed, standing on the show’s redesigned stage.
“First and foremost, we’ve sped up some of the spinning, eliminating some wheels and adding some more. So, let’s look at them one at a time!” As he spoke, three wheels rose up from the stage; two familiar and one completely new. “First up, the Wheel of Change! Six fates for our contestants! ‘Head’, ‘Arms/Hands’, ‘Upper Body’, Lower Body’, ‘Legs/Feet’, and—of course—‘Size'!”
The last statement was met with raucous applause.
Alan nodded at that, going on. “Moving on… You know, it; you love it! The Loser’s Wheel! Anyone who can’t or won’t spin the Wheel of Change will have me spin it for them! On it, five punishments and one chance at redemption! That’s right, we have ‘Voice’, ‘Mind’, ‘Full Transformation’, ‘Prey’, ‘Bred’, and ‘Free TransSpin’!”
This time, Alan’s final phrase was greeted by dubious mutters.
Good, all going to plan. “Some of you seem a little confused as to what this is. Well, allow me to introduce our third and final wheel. If any of our contestants don’t like their spins, they may pay for a TransSpin! In exchange for this do-over, a random audience member is fully transformed… And the contestant must take a spin here as their cost. We have four options: ‘Two Wheel of Change Spins’, ‘Three Wheel of Change Spins’, ‘Loser’s Wheel Spin’, and ‘Two Loser’s Wheel Spins’!”
Alan took a moment to gauge the crowd’s reaction before continuing. “That’s right. There’s nothing good about this wheel… If anyone buys these, they must have gotten it rough. But perhaps this wheel suits them better than a particularly debilitating spin on the Loser’s Wheel… Or maybe they just want some excitement in their audience section.
“So, that’s one TransSpin per round! Matching results on the Wheel of Change require additional spins on the same wheel, and matching results on the Loser’s Wheel mean you… Lose! Your! Mind! We’re the same Wheel of Change, but better and streamlined! Just the way you all like to see it!”
The audience took a moment to process this information before filling the room with claps and cheers, all of them eager to see, or possibly be a part of, quality transformations.
“Thank you, thank you.” Alan bowed twice, turning to greet the oncoming contestants. “And without further ado: Rosie!”
A blonde with long hair sauntered out, waving.
“Ellie!”
The name was followed by a slim redhead with bangs, who paused to give a bow of her own.
“Blaine!”
A busty girl walked on-stage, her ample bosom juggling with each step.
“And Tristie!”
A tanned girl grinned, her dark hair kept to a close crop.
Alan gave them all the time to settle into their Changing Rooms. “Today, these four girls have each chosen an animal for their competitors to become. Of these, we’ve randomly selected one from each of the possibilities.” As he spoke, a digital display over each girl’s booth flickered to life.
“Rosie will be becoming a giraffe! Ellie a Pelican! Blain will be a Kangaroo, and Tristie a duck!” As Alan spoke, the displays above each booth flickered to a silhouette of the animal the women would become.
“I think I’ll need a bigger booth.” Rosie laughed good-naturedly. “Thanks to whoever put ‘giraffe’ in as my option; as long as I play my cards right then the worst thing for my future is a zoo enclosure.”
“That was me!” Blaine raised her hand, grinning from ear to ear. “I think I’m in much the same boat as you, yeah?”
“For which you have me to thank…” Ellie sighed. “Pelicans are so gross… But Ellie the Pellie has a nice ring to it.” She laughed.
Blaine frowned. “Sorry, I thought you’d like it; birds are super-cute.”
“So that means I have you to thank for becoming a duck?” Tristie glared, gritting her jaw.
Alan laughed, cutting off the fight before it began. “Why don’t you settle it on the stage! Tristie, you’re up! Give the wheel a spin!”
Tristie paused. “You know what? How about we make this one interesting, Alan? I’ll use my TransSpin right off the bat.”
Alan beamed, whirling the smallest wheel. It spun quickly, slowing down to 1 Spin Loser’s Wheel. Then, he looked up to the ceiling with a smile. The show’s tried-and-true TF Ray descended from up high. Its manipulator arm whirred and clicked, settling on a college-aged man.
He blinked as the cameras settled on him. “Wait, what? No, I swear; I’m just here because my girrrlkwaack!” His hands flew to his throat, his eyes widening as the beam bathed him in transformative light. There was a loud tearing as his feet hardened, then exploded from his shoes. A moment later, his body shrank down within his clothing. Unfortunately for him, he fell backwards, giving the crowd a perfectly good view of his webbed feet even as the rest of his body became a bird’s.
The young man’s face pushed out into a beak. His hair fell out, only to be replaced with feathers seconds later. And last; slowest of all, his arms became long wings. The fully transformed duck struggled to free itself from its clothing, letting out a confused squawk every now and then. His girlfriend scooped him up in her arms with a loud giggle.
“Thanks for the new pet!” She waved to the Crowd-Change-Cam.
“Any time!” Tristie waved back, looking to Alan.
On cue, he spun the Loser’s Wheel, letting it land on Full Transformation. “Well, I’ll be damned. I think this might be the fastest transformation we’ve seen here on Wheel!”
“It just might be.” Tristie beamed and turned to her opponents. “And for this record, I think… I’d like to see a kangaroo.”
“Bring it.” Blaine bounced on stage, grinning impishly.
Alan cleared his throat. “As you’ve noticed, we’ve mixed it up a little. You don’t know what the challenge is until I read it aloud!” He flicked a card from his jacket with a smile. “And without further ado, your challenge is simple. HI Jump: which one of you can jump the highest? You have ten seconds to get a good height on these testers!”
Alan waved to a pair of vertical jump measurers, brought on stage by the ever-helpful attendants. The two stagehands quickly adjusted each set of slats to the girl’s heights, allowing for a fair fight.
“And go!” Alan cheered.
“Sorry, but you’ve lost this game.” Blaine smiled cheerily, crouching down and waggling her rear slightly.
“Yeah? You’re not a kangaroo… yet.” Tristie leapt up, slapping a little up the halfway marker on her pole.
“Nope.” Blaine uncoiled her muscles, springing up to clear three-quarters of her own tester. She landed with a practiced ‘thud’ and a smile. “Just a gymnast.”
“”Well, shit.” Tristie sighed, glaring at Blaine’s result. She looked back to Alan. “This doesn’t mean ‘mind’ too, does it?”
Alan grinned. “Not for Full Transformation, no. For Mind, Prey, and Bred, though…” He chuckled with a shrug. “Looks like you’ll just have to live the rest of your days as a duck with a person’s brain.”
“Lovely.” Tristie sighed, stalking back to her Changing Room. She steeled in it, closing her eyes as the TF Transmitter atop her booth hummed to life. At first, she didn’t feel any different. Then she realized she couldn’t feel her feet. “Oh. Lovely.” Tristie repeated herself, hiking up a leg of her jeans to confirm her suspicions.
Sure enough, mottled black skin greeted her; hard and callous. She had just enough time to kick off her shoes before her dark feet began to cramp. Her limbs twisted further as they became a pair of webbed appendages. Tristie’s toes twisted, a thick webbing connecting her toes to one another. Well, her remaining toes. Her middle two and end two toes had already merged, becoming a pair of clawed tips to her feet.
Tristie groaned aloud as she slapped her feet against the ground. The rest of her body began to change a moment later, transformations tippling across her form. Her hands and arms became wings at almost the same time her breasts disappeared within her avian chest. She grunted again, her neck shrinking even as her body cramped further; bloating out slightly.
Her bones slid and turned, locking her in an avian stance. As Tristie tried to waddle, her only form of land-based locomotion, a long and feathered tail extended from her backside. Other feathers joined it a few moments later, giving her a complete brown coat.
Then, slowest of all, her hair fell out. With each clump that landed on the ground, her body shrank a little more. She dwindled and dwindled until she was just at knee’s height. “Um… Shouldn’t my head be traaack! Waark! … Quack.”
Tristie pouted at the loss of her voice; though the expression lasted only a moment more. Her lips fused, drawing out from the rest of her face to become a duck’s beak. She could feel the skin hardening, conjoining with her nose, flattening out. And she hated every bit of it.
Still, Tristie had resolved not to let any changes ruffle her feathers… Be it literally or figuratively. Instead, she took a few calming breaths as her head shrank. The woman closed her eyes, feeling them slide to the sides of her head. A moment later, the newly formed duck opened them again.
“How’s it feel to be a bird?” Alan grinned as the booth opened.
“Quack?” Tristie tilted her head. For all the world, it looked like the duck was doing its best to arch an eyebrow.
“Right, right. Well, hope your family doesn’t give you too fowl of a time.” Alan laughed, waving the duck off to her section.
As she flapped her way over, the lights above her portion of the audience dimmed.
“And then there were three.” Alan chuckled. “Speaking of, we’ll have Rosie come on next.” He smiled, waving the giraffe-to-be onto the stage.
She smiled and waved for the crowd before spinning her Wheel of Change. It ticked down to Lower Body, and Rosie frowned. “Well, crap. I think I’ll have to go for… I don’t know!” She exclaimed, her eyes wide. Then, a slow smile crept across her face.
“Yes?” Alan asked with a predatory grin.
“If I don’t like my spin… Oh, what the hell; it’s a special. One more TransSpin!” Rosie clapped, pointing to her audience section. “You all should make room, because we’re gonna have a new giraffe!”
“Are we, now.” Alan smiled, the Crowd Change Cam already panning until it alighted on an excited-looking brunette.
She squeaked as the beam warmed up. “Give me to a good zoo!” Luckily for her, she was able to say it quickly enough that she got the phrase off before the TF Ray hit her. Unluckily, everybody nearby was scrambling too quickly out of the way, doing their best to clear the room of the oncoming large mammal.
They were right to. Not less than five minutes later, she grew out of her clothes. Their seams stretched and cracked loudly, splitting in seconds. “Ohhh wow!” The woman cried, windmilling her arms. They stretched away from her body, cracking out as they lengthened.
Then her legs started to stretch, making it look like she was wearing stilts. Brow-and-gold fur covered her from head to toe as she fell onto her hands and knees. She let out a giggle at the sensation of being so tall, despite having fallen so.
The woman shook her head out as her curly locks disappeared, giving way to a pair of stubby horns atop her skull. Then she shook her body at the awkward sensation of growing a giraffe’s tail. She looked up, almost perfectly at the right time for her neck to slide higher on her body.
“Oh my God!” She squeaked excitedly as her neck lengthened, growing out and out and out. Her torso expanded to an ungulate’s, and she grunted and groaned as her vocal chords changed. Still grunting, the giraffe stumbled slightly as its brain was overwritten. Animal thoughts replaced human ones, new instincts and emotions rising to the surface of her mind.
She blinked, letting out a confused grunt as her eyes slid to the sides of her head and her face cracked out into a muzzle. Then the giraffe yelped in surprise, noticing the crowds around it. Before it had a chance to so much as consider using its hooves, attendants hit it with mild sedatives.
The giraffe swooned slightly, gently falling to its knees as a group of handlers rushed on stage to collect the beast. The crowd picked up their scattered chairs, falling into an orderly assembly a few moments later.
“You sure know how to liven up a show, Ms. Rosie.” Alan chuckled, looking at her with a wry grin. “Now, let’s see how well your luck holds.”
“Oh, I’m sure it won’t.” Rosie laughed good-naturedly. She spun, getting an impressive ‘3 WoC Spins’. “See?” She laughed, spinning the Wheel of Change its three times. She landed on Head, Arms/Hands, and Legs/Feet.
“Might I inform you that ‘Head’ now includes your neck?” Alan chuckled.
“Yep. Horrible luck.” Rosie scowled. “I think I’ll go up against Ellie; give her some stage time.”
“Fair enough!” Alan boomed, snapping to the attendants. “Your challenge here is to get a higher score in darts than your opponent.” The stagehands quickly brought out a pair of boards and three darts apiece. They then laid down the throwing line for each woman.
“Straight forward…” Rosie frowned. “Sadly, I’m crap at this game.”
Ellie patted her on the back. “Even worse for you, my local bar has ‘Dartthrowing Thursdays’.”
“Even better.” Rosie repeated the other woman, already focusing on the task at hand.
“Go!”
Rosie lined up her first shot, missing horribly. Her next shot wasn’t too bad, hitting the outer ring of the target. And her last shot was well near the center, though still nothing close to a bulls-eye. She sighed, looking over to see Ellie land a perfect bulls-eye.
That alone would have been enough to win her the game, but it looked like her other two were worth significant points as well.
“Sorry, honey.” Ellie smiled, patting Rosie on the back.
“Just how the wheel turns, I suppose.” Rosie muttered, looking up to the TF Ray. “Should I go back to my Changing Room for this? I don’t think…” Rosie trailed off as she looked back, seeing that the Changing Room had become a fair size larger than it had been a few moments ago.
“Never mind.” She muttered, walking back to her room. Rosie shut the door behind her, walking to the center of her spacious room. The room began to glow with an unearthly light, and Rosie gasped a she saw her hands and feet begin to twist and harden; covered in mere moments with a thick layer of dark enamel.
She watched in awe as her arms and legs then began to pull away from her body, becoming covered in light, tawny fur. The woman groaned, hurriedly falling to her hands and feet in order to maintain her balance. She hadn’t accounted for how heavy hoof-hands were; and how weird it would be to stand on such long legs with such a counterweight.
Then her neck started to stretch out, and Rosie found she had new problems entirely. She yelped aloud as her head bumped against the side of the Changing Room. Hurriedly, she dropped to a squat, turning her body so her neck now pointed upwards.
While it was more comfortable, it was also dizzying. Rosie had to bite back a wave of nausea as her eyes began to slide to a more fitting prey-vision. “And here comes this part…” She muttered, pursing her lips as they began to thicken.
Short horns poked from the top of Rosie’s head, and she tried to roll her eyes upwards to see them. Unfortunately, she could only catch glimpses of the growths; unlike the massive muzzle that was beginning to take up her inner peripheral vision.
“Wow, this is odd…” Rosie muttered, testing out a deep humming. She could feel her vocal chords thrumming down her entire long neck, a low tingling. She still wasn’t sure how her muzzle was capable of pronouncing some human words; especially with such a thick tongue or such blocky teeth.
The giraffe-woman ticked one of her eyes as her hair pulled inwards, leaving her with soft and short fur on the top of her scalp. These hairs were soon joined by more and more, until her entire head was covered; then her neck. Last of all, her ears slowly drew to pointed tips, sliding atop her head to alight on either side of her upper skull.
“Now that that’s out of the way.” Alan laughed as Rosie struggled to find a natural sitting position. “Blaine. Care to give the wheel a spin for yourself?”
Blaine nodded. “Screw it, I’ll try.”
She walked on stage, spinning the Wheel of Change. It ticked down to ‘Lower Body’, and Blaine smiled to herself. “I could stand to have a pouch… But Rosie’s changed enough. Let’s see how Ellie fairs here.”
“Damn it, I was hoping we’d gang up on giraffe-girl.” Ellie laughed, joining Rosie.
“Not sporting enough.” Blaine replied with a smile.
“I suppose it wouldn’t be! Fortunately for you, this event is sporting!” Alan spoke, waving to his attendants. They hurriedly ran off-stage, returning moments later with a pair of basketball hoops attached to the back of baseball caps.
“Whoever gets a ping-pong ball through their hoop first wins.” Alan grinned as the contestants put on their headsets.
The two women frowned at how ridiculous they looked.
“Well, at least we won’t be embarrassed while doing this.” Ellie muttered, tossing a ball in the air. It bopped her on the head and her frown deepened. She then looked over to Blaine right in time to see the busty woman reach behind her head and drop a ball through.
Blaine smiled sheepishly as Ellie’s expression turned to one of outrage. “Sorry! Sometimes you just need to think outside the box, you know?”
“She’s right, and is this challenge’s winner!” Alan laughed as Ellie glared, storming back to her Changing Room.
“Beam me up-whoa!” Her eyes widened comically as her arms windmilled. Her hips had clicked , throwing her a little forward. Then her shorts slipped down her knees, pushed off by something growing out from her backside. Ellie glared back at her rear accusingly. She maintained the sharp glare as tailfeathers slowly pushed their way from the base of her spine.
“I always wanted a bird butt.” She moaned sarcastically, shaking her rear idly. More and more feathers sprouted from her navel to her thighs, making it look like she had a thick set of downy bloomers on under her cotton panties.
“Glad to hear it! Now, let’s give you a moment to get used to your new body because it’s time for our new ‘Prey Run Challenge’!” Alan turned from the women to the audience, who began to look increasingly uneasy.
“No worries, this is us listening to you! You all wanted some more audience involvement, so here it is! In Prey Run Challenge, one audience member from each section becomes a Runner! Each Runner is transformed in body, becoming prey!
They’ll be up against other audience members, changed body and mind into predators! The first runner that makes it to the end of their course wins a lovely five thousand dollars and their humanity! Last place has to forever remain in their transformed state. Everyone in between just gets changed back! So without further ado, this Prey Run is earthworms versus chickens! Earthworms, make it to the end! Chickens… Not that you’ll remember, but eat up!”
As he spoke, the TF Ray expertly shot four audience members, transforming them one by one.
The first was a young woman who screamed until her head became a slimy nub at the end of her writing body. She shrank down within her clothes, her entire body collapsing into itself. The girl kicked and flailed until her legs fused into a single, flopping tail.
The next was another woman, who took it better right up until her hands began to disappear. She yelped aloud as they became fleshy nubs, writhing tendrils that soon dissipated back into her body. She squirmed a little as her body became boneless, falling to the floor in an ever-smaller heap.
The third, an Aryan man with a beard, simply shrugged as he was bathed in transformative energy. Standing still, he slowly shrank down within the folds of his clothing, becoming a tiny worm. It didn’t even bother him when his facial features began to melt away, leaving him with only a mouth.
Thankfully, the last target provided much more sport. She ‘ew’ed all the way down. This might have been aided by the fact that her tail happened to grow from her tailbone, while her legs pulled back into her body. It was even worse than the other changes because for a brief time she had a hairless, smooth tail whipping from side to side while her arms and legs slowly pulled into her form.
The predators’ changes, on the other hand, were kept ‘business as usual’. Eight lucky crowd members were changed on the spot, becoming squawking chickens tangled in human clothes. Stagehands collected all of their new ‘props’, setting them in a pen. It almost looked like a bowling lane, only chickens were kept where the gutters would be. At one end were the worms; at the other lay an impromptu finish line.
“Now folks, I’d like to remind you that earthworms are completely blind. They have no idea where to go except forward. Only problem is? They don’ know which way that is.”
As Alan finished that sentence, one of the worms crawled past the starting line, making a beeline to the right. It stopped right in front of a chicken, who greedily gobbled up its new prey. The other earthworms looked to have no idea as to which way was forward and which way was back, but they continued nonetheless.
One of them inched backwards until it hit the rear wall. But the other two worm made their way forward. Both of them continued racing on, just out of reach of the chickens… Right up until one made too large of a push forward. Its tail looped around, ready to push the worm forward.
Unfortunately for the worm, this was too greedy a motion, leaving the worm’s tail perfectly in reach of the chickens. The nearest avian let loose a mighty squawk, darting its head down to eat the worm whole.
But this grub was a fighter. It writhed in the chicken’s mouth, tickling the sides and top of the avian’s jaw. Then one of its motions caused it to slap the chicken on its right eye. The bird squawked in distress, twitching its head and accidentally sending the worm sailing right over the finish line.
As it passed the line, the TF Ray’s arm whirred, firing at the worm as it flew in midair. A full-sized human girl appeared at the other end, her face flushed. It was the first girl, and her eyes were wide with excitement. “That was awesome! Did I win?” She looked down to the box as she spoke, watching as the next worm crossed the line. It became the bearded man, and he frowned with a look at the last worm in the box.
It was moving along the back, finally managing to turn its way around. Then it made its way left, and the man groaned aloud. Sure enough, the earthworm crawled directly towards two of the chickens. Each of them leaned down, grabbing either half of the worm in their mouth. Then they pulled, tugging the worm apart in their beaks. Each chicken gulped down their meal; then squawked as they were changed back into people.
“Let me guess.” The bearded man groaned. “That dumb thing’s gonna make me into an earthworm forever because I was the last one to finish, right?”
Alan smiled mischievously. “Well, now that you mention it…” The host snapped his fingers and the TF Ray fired, working its particular brand of magic on the man.
The man groaned again. “This really sucks…” They were the last words he’d say as a human, his vocal chords soon stripped from him.
As he transformed into an earthworm once more, the winning contestant looked down with a smile. “Any chance that I could take this one home?” She poked at the earthworm and it twitched feebly. “I have a little garden that could use a good little worm like this. Besides, it’s not like he remembers who he was.” She sniggered, prodding at the worm a little more.
“I’d say that’s just fine!” Alan grinned. “Any objections?”
There were none.
Alan grinned, standing ramrod-straight. “Then who’s up for another round? Starting with Rosie again!”
Rosie muttered and cursed as she stumbled her way to the Wheel of Change. She looked at it meekly, then sighed. “Either way, I think I’m boned. So give me a spin on the Loser’s Wheel!”
The crowd roared with approval as Alan set the wheel in motion. The approval died down a little when it revealed ‘Voice’, replaced with confused murmurs.
“Now, I’m sure some of you think losing your voice is a minimal change here. But in actuality, it’s almost as bad as ‘Mind’! Anyone who loses their voice can only spin on the Loser’s Wheel; and we choose their opponents for them. Moreover, they lose their ability to take TransSpins!”
Alan turned to Rosie with a grin. “So, care to TransSpin this away?”
Rosie chuckled. “No, I think I’d rather go up against Blaine. She’s got a bit of herself to change, doesn’t she? I think some Loser’s Wheel spins would suit her nicely.”
Alan nodded. “Then come on out, Blaine!”
Blaine grinned, jogging out with a huge smile. “What’s the challenge that I’m gonna win?”
Alan checked his tablet, laughing aloud. “I think you’d win this even if you were almost transformed! This is a game of hopscotch! First to the end wins.”
Rosie groaned. “You know what? I concede this round. It’s not even worth trying.” She padded back to her Changing Room with her head held high.
A few moments later, Rosie blinked. ‘I don’t feel any different.’ Was what she meant to say. Instead, she managed “Waarngarrllm.” Her ears drooped slightly as the crowd laughed.
“Sorry honey, but that’s the way the wheel turns! And speaking of spining, let’s see what Blaine has to say!” Alan spoke with a huge mile, waving the unchanged girl forwards.
She flexed her arms, giving the Wheel of Change a good spin. It settled on ‘Head’, and she sighed. “Sorry Rosie, but I’m going to try to knock you out quick.”
Alan chuckled. “Are you sure about that?” He grinned as he looked down at their challenge. “Hi-Jump again. And since Rosie hasn’t hit a ‘size’ modifier, her slats will be adjusted to her initial height.”
As he spoke, attendants brought a jump tester on-stage. It barely grazed Rosie’s thighs.
Blaine smiled confidently. “She’s still got to jump for it.”
Rosie grunted, heaving herself onto her legs. She wobbled a little, but was able to work out a decent standing posture. Even if her head was worryingly close to the stage lights, she could still make by on two legs.
Alan grinned. “Then let’s see who wins! Go!”
Blaine repeated her fantastic jump from before, slapping her tester at a high mark. She spun as she fell, watching Rosie with narrowed eyes. All she had to do was have Rosie not jump…
Of course, Rosie disappointed her, making a quick bunny-hop that ended in her thigh marking every one of the testing panels. The giraffe-woman grunted loudly with pride; then fell onto her forehooves once more.
“Frigging great.” Blaine muttered, walking back to her room. A second later, and her Transformation Emitter began to glow with an unearthly light.
The woman’s hands flew to her face as it began to ache and cramp. Slowly, surely, her nose and mouth cracked out into a muzzle. Her nose became dark and black, flattening out slightly atop her new snout.
Blaine’s ears ached next, tugging as though someone was pulling on them; stretching them. The changing girl waved at them, feeling them flatten out and draw to gently pointed tips. Her hearing increased, but this came at a price: her ears began to itch, growing fur.
The rest of Blaine’s face followed suit and she whimpered slightly, flexing her aching snout. Her hands kept rubbing at her long cheeks, feeling the growing stubble all along her skin. It was an orangeish-red, the color of the Australian outback.
She glared down at her furry, pointed snout and itched at her neck irritably. It didn’t lengthen so much as it did broaden. Were she to describe it, she’d best relate it as an awkward pulling sensation that left her with a neck that got broader the further down it went.
Blaine’s eyes darkened to an ebony black, and she itched at the thick fur irritably, feeling her human hair fall out to complete the transformation. “Well, this is lovely. At least I’m pretty sure I look adorable like this.”
“Indeed you do!” Alan laughed. “But it seems like we’ll need to call Ellie up next!”
The part-pelican waddled up to the stage with a cocky grin. “So, a kangaroo head for her and a birdy butt for me.” She spun the wheel, grinning as it clicked down to ‘Upper Body’. “Let’s see what we can do to break that tie. Blaire!”
The kangaroo-headed bombshell walked on-stage, frowning. “Are you sure this has nothing to do with my breasts? I swear, I didn’t have a hand in them getting so big.”
“Positive.” Ellie rolled her eyes.
“Well, unfortunately this is going to be High-or-Low.” Alan smiled. “So it doesn’t matter who’s more changed, this is all chance. Unless you lost your voice, of course.” Alan looked over to Rosie, grinning as the giraffe-girl sighed at how close she’d come to an immediate loss.
“So! I deal the cards, you call high or low!” He dealt them each a card. “Ellie! Ace!”
Ellie rolled her eyes. “Low.” She received a ‘ten’ for her ‘guess’.
“Blaine! Three!”
Blaine sighed. “Well, crap. High? I feel it’s a ‘two’, but…” She trailed off as Alan dealt her exactly that. “Damn.”
The girl hurriedly jogged back to her booth. “I’m gonna get you back for this, bird butt!” She grinned past her snout, groaning as her booth began to change her again.
It started with her breasts, of course. Blaine looked down, waving them a fond farewell as they dwindled and shrank, leaving her flat.
That said, her shirt wasn’t loose for long. It soon filled out with thick and warm fur, frowning all over her shoulders and even her underarms. Blaine giggled a little at the odd feeling, then yelped in distress as she realized how her body looked to be tapered at both ends.
“Ellie’s on a roll! Will she go for a twofer, though? You’re up again!” Alan grinned at the woman at his side.
“Glad I didn’t go back to my room just yet.” Ellie grinned, spinning the wheel. ‘Upper Body’ again. “And glad that Blaine just lost that last challenge! Let’s see if I can give her two more spins.” Ellie grinned impishly as Blaine walked slowly on-stage.
“I don’t like the sound of this…” She sighed, rolling her new shoulders. It was a little odd how… forward her arms felt. She hoped it wouldn’t have to come down to something involving…
“Hand-stands!” Alan grinned from ear to ear. “Who can stand the longest?”
Blaine sighed, standing next to Ellie. On the bright side, Ellie looked nervous, too. On the down side, as soon as they were brought on their hands, both women fell almost immediately. Sadly for Blaine, her shoulders got in the way and she was the first one down.
“Crap!” Blaine laughed aloud, rolling onto her back. “Ellie, stop being so good at these!” She walked to the wheel and gave it a hard turn. ‘Upper Body’ again.
“Crap again.” Blaine muttered.
“That’s three spins on the Wheel for you!”
Blaine followed her first disastrous result with ‘Legs/Feet’. Then she blinked. “Wait… Crap. I have three things left to change and two spins.”
“Luck of the wheel, I’m afraid.” Alan grinned. “Just one more spin, and we’ll see what you get.”
She nodded, groaning as she hit ‘Legs/Feet’ again.
“Sorry, but it’s now impossible for you not to be changed. Unless you’d like a TransSpin?” Alan grinned predatorily.
“No, I’m just gonna keep spinning for giggles.” Blainesighed. It took another five spins for her to finally hit both of the last two things to change about her, and she turned to her family with a sad smile.
“Sorry guys! But here’s to hoping you put me in a good zoo!” She waved to them as she walked into her booth. Blaine closed both of her kangaroo eyes as she felt the transformations begin.
This time, it started with her belly. Blaine groaned as her stomach expanded slightly, a pouch clearly forming where her navel was. This latest change happened to give her a pear-shaped body and the woman groaned again, the seams on her pants now uncomfortably tight. Finally, they gave way, tearing with an embarrassingly loud rip.
The tear continued, her pants completely shredded in seconds by her thighs. They bulked up to an almost ludicrous extent; muscle tearing apart the fragile fabric with ease. Her calves went next, lengthening along with her feet to let her stand in an almost balanced manner.
Except there was still something missing… Blaine balled her transforming hands into fists, feeling her fingers grow claws and lengthen. Her arms cramped too, shrinking into her transforming body.
She groaned again, itching all over. Thankfully, this only lasted for a few seconds, the hairs running rampant along her body in mere moments. She went from half-bald to fluffy in less than three seconds, leaving there one change remaining.
Blaine had been waiting for it for the past few minutes; waiting for that aching in her backside. When it came, it was like blissful relied; her tailbone spearing out in a steady ache. She groaned and grunted as her tail slowly clicked into place, growing thick and broad with muscle and sinew.
Blaine gasped as it pushed out to its full length, a thick and long tail that swept against the ground behind her. She grunted, looking back at it a little bit irritably; then hopped from her booth onto the stage. The doors barely had enough time to automatically open for her, and she chortled with laughter.
“How’s it feel to be hopping about, Blaine?” Alan laughed.
Blaine bounced around for Alan’s benefit, then hopped off-stage to join her family.
“Always good to see competitors lose with grace. And speaking of losing, let’s bring up Rosie for a shot at breaking Ellie’s winning streak!” Alan spun the Loser’s Wheel with a huge grin. “The Loser’s Wheel says ‘Voice’ again. Let’s see if it’ll be our pelican-girl’s total victory!”
Rosie stumbled on-stage, gritting her teeth. She hadn’t done so hot before, but she had to win this one! She didn’t mind being a giraffe, but she wanted to keep her mind, damn it!
“The challenge is… Oh.” Alan’s face fell sympathetically as he looked up at Rosie. “Sorry, but this challenge would have had you solve a riddle. And seeing as you can’t speak…”
Rosie’s dark eyes widened. No, that couldn’t be it! She grunted loudly, wheeling back to a bipedal stance to try and ward off the TF-Ray.
Of course, it did her no use, and her hips and shoulders cracked a moment later. Her legs did a slight split to the sides of her body, and she wobbled a little in distress as her new stance took hold. On the bright side, it was easier to stand like this.
On the other hand, it was… Other hoof, it… Harder… Think… The giraffe blinked, twitching an ear as it grew its tail. Rosie’s human mind rapidly vacated her body, reforming to become that of a giraffe.
Simpler thoughts and instincts overtook her, and she smacked her lips idly, searching for something to snack on. Unfortunately, the show’s lights weren’t even close to edible, as she found a moment later. The giraffe then caught scent of some acacia leaves, and let her massive tongue fall from her mouth. She looked down, staring at the leaves and quickly making a move for the handler.
The man in question made a mad dash for the show’s ‘XL Door’, leading the giraffe outside to a special pen.
“Sorry to Rosie’s family, but she won’t be able to join you in the crowd. A wild giraffe is fairly dangerous, so we’re putting her in a pen until you decide what to do with her.” Alan grinned, bowing his head slightly.
A bearded man, Rosie’s father, looked at Alan with a smile. “Well, ain’t never had giraffe steak before.”
His wife turned and slapped him on the arm. “Richard!”
He flinched, rubbing his arm gingerly. “Dammit woman! You heard the man, she ain’t Rosie no more! Right?”
Alan nodded. “I have to agree with Dick here, madam.”
“Richard.” Rosie’s father corrected.
“Yeah, whatever.” Alan brushed him off. “This giraffe doesn’t even know that she used to be human; doesn’t have a trace of Rosie left. So while I dislike the idea of killing such a majestic creature…”
“It’s not Rosie?” Her mother gasped.
“That is indeed correct, but giraffes are still very delicate animals.”
“Delicate and tasty!” Rosie’s mom grinned, clapping her hands. She saw the look on Alan’s face and sighed. “But we’ll try and find a zoo for her. If none pop up after a week, though…”
Alan rolled his eyes. “Well, you heard it her, folks! If there are any zoos interested in adopting Rosie, be sure to let us at the show know! Otherwise, she just might end up as dinner!”
“Hell, meat on her bones? She’d be breakfast and lunch, too!” Richard hooted with laughter from the crowd.
“Yes, quite.” Alan turned to Ellie with a smile. “As for you… Human or animal?”
Ellie laughed, waggling her rear end. “I think I’ll be an animal for this one! Sorry, but I’ve got student loans out the ass. Government’s ruled that anyone who’s TF’ed is exempt from the federal tax system, so one body change for me and fifty grand for my family!” She beamed up at the TF-Ray.
A second later, it hit her, warping her form. Her arms went from waving to flapping in a matter of moments, and she let out a warbling cry. Ellie hadn’t accounted for the awkward sensation of her lips pulling into a beak; and she definitely hadn’t accounted for a pelican’s huge throat pouch.
She gurgled a little as her throat expanded, filling the space under her comically long beak nicely. Her neck twisted a little as her head bucked forward; then she warbled again as her neck pulled into the traditional ‘s’ shape of a pelican’s.
Her hair fell out, and her head shank to a small ball. Ellie grunted as her eyes slid to the sides of her beak, and she flitted her head from side to side, glancing about herself.
Her breasts sank back into her body as small quills forced their way from all over her form. Each quill grew the distinctive tuft of feathers as they drew to their full length.
Hurriedly, Ellie pulled off her clothes, using the slight dexterity that her merging fingers still possessed. The increasingly pelican-like woman was greatly assisted in this by her body shrinking down. She was getting smaller by the second, until she was a few feet tall.
Ellie squawked triumphantly, kicking off the last bit of clothing just in time to see her feet begin the metamorphosis into a pelican’s. That was the strangest part: she could see her toes stretch out, pulling back into her foot. All the while, the rest of the appendages were flattening out, the skin getting thicker as the muscle got thinner.
Her soles flattened out and she slapped her webbed feet against the ground with an avian laugh, fluttering her wings with pleasure. The transformation completed, she spread her wings and flapped out to her family’s table, touching down with pride.
Alan watched her got with a smile and a laugh. “Didn’t think I’d have to ask this, but what will you be doing with your daughter? Will you make her a snack, set her free, give her to a zoo?”
Ellie’s mother looked at the pelican with a smile, petting the side of her neck. “Hell, for fifty thousand dollars? I think we have a new family pet!” She laughed as Ellie nuzzled her face affectionately.
Alan grinned, spinning to face the cameras. “You saw it here, folks! Four women entered, leaving as a distressed duck, a content kangaroo, a jeopardized giraffe, and a pampered pelican! This is the kind of action you’ll only see on…”
“Wheel! Of! Change!”
