“Ladies and gentlemen!” Alan Thompson strode on stage, smiling at the assembled crowd. “Welcome to tonight’s…”
“Wheel! Of! Change!” As expected, the crowd chanted the show’s name in a frenzied chorus.
“Just as a refresher: spin the challenge wheel; pick an opponent; and compete to lose your humanity or win tonight’s lovely prize of fifty thousand dollars! Get a part that’s already changed, and you need to spin again; and lose too much and you?” Once more, Alan left it out to the crowd. And once again, they answered eagerly and expectedly.
“Lose! Your! Mind!”
“Too right!” Alan applauded their response, turning to the show’s doors behind him. “Now, let’s greet tonight’s four contestants! We have a fierce rivalry here tonight, four competing cheerleaders from four competing schools! Betty, the blonde from UM! Rebecca, the brunette from Missouri State! Sammy, the redheaded ‘fireball’ of GU! And Dixie, the blonde from Rensselaer Polytechnic!”
The women smiled as they walked on stage, heading obediently to their ‘Changing Rooms’. The four of them spun, waiting for the little cases to raise from under the stage before them.
“You know the drill ladies; each of you has written something you’d like to see each other become. Now it’s up to Lady Luck as to which happens to who!”
They nodded, popping open the cases they felt were ‘luckiest’. One by one, Betty, Rebecca, Sammy, and Dixie revealed: “DEER”, “CROW”, “MOUSE”, and “SEAL””. The crowd laughed, then were hushed as Alan spoke up again.
“But that’s not all! Tonight is a part of College Week! That means that we’ve added to tonight’s ‘Loser’s Wheel’ a new panel: ‘Transformation Showdown’! In it, one audience member--a cheerleader-- from each girl’s section is chosen. The girls will all choose what their representative becomes; then they’ll compete in a challenge! Winner gets changed back to human and earns a lovely five thousand dollars! Loser stays as is!”
The audience murmured for a few moments, then cheered even more raucously.
“Sounds like we’re ready and raring to go! Who will win tonight’s episode? Will it be Betty, her university’s deerest cheerleader? Rebecca, who’s competing for her school’s caws? Sammy, who just might squeak out a victory tonight? Or Dixie, planning to seal the deal for RTI? Let’s find out!”
Without further ado, Alan spun the ‘Contestant’s Wheel’, landing on ‘Dixie’. She laughed, walking up to spin the next to with a smile and a wave to her crowd. She received both ‘Long Jump’ and ‘Arms/Hands’.
“Well, I don’t like that.” Dixie frowned, looking at her hands. “I think I’d much rather be without flippers… So let’s see if I can give Betty some hooves!” She spun t the skinniest girl in the group, quietly hoping that her thin frame didn’t have to do with athletics.
Almost immediately, Dixie’s heart sank as Betty began by stretching her arms out, rolling her shoulders instinctively.
“Blonde versus blonde, eh?” Betty grinned maliciously. “Looks like someone doesn’t realize I’m captain of my university’s track team, too.”
“I definitely didn’t.” Dixie pouted, watching as Betty set a mark that Dixie couldn’t even get close to.
Dixie sighed, doing a bunny-hop that barely made it a third of Betty’s impressive stride. “My mom always said: ‘If you can’t win at something, you might as well lose as cutely as possible’.” Dixie grinned sheepishly, walking back to her ‘Changing Room’.
A second later, it was illuminated with a faint green light, her fingers fusing into flippers; her arms losing their shape as they flattened out. Dixie let out a faint moan of distress as she watched her skin become thick and rubbery.
“How’s that feel, Dixie?” Alan grinned at her.
“I’m not too much of a fan…” Dixie rubbed the back of her neck with mild embarrassment; yelping in surprise as she felt her animal fin along her skin. “But I’m still in this game!”
“Well said!” Alan said, calling on Rebecca to go out next.
The brunette spun the ‘Challenge Wheel’ and chuckled. “You really are, Dixie.” It read ‘Audience’s Favorite’. The ‘Wheel of Change’ turned up ‘Head’, and Rebecca grinned more. “Always wanted to see a human with a seal’s head.”
“What makes you think you’ll win that easily?” Dixie frowned, making her way on-stage to face Rebecca.
“Come on. Lose to someone with seal-arms? As if.” Rebecca scowled.
Alan rolled his eyes at their banter. “Ladies, this contest is simple: you each have ten seconds to do something you think the audience will like. After that, it’s up to them!”
“Piece of cake.” Rebecca strutted on to the competition grounds the second her clock began, posing naughtily for the crowd’s benefit. The cheers she received brought a smile to her face, and she finished with a wink. She returned to the waiting section with Alan and Dixie; shooting the latter a cruel grin. “Beat that, blubber-arms.”
Dixie pouted, making her way closer to the audience. “Um, I know that you all normally clap a lot; so this time I figured someone should clap for you!” The blonde proceeded to slap her seal-like fins together, stammering out a cute bark for their amusement. Dixie’s clock buzzed down, and the audience responded with raucous laughter and cheering that clearly beat out Rebecca’s.
The brunette scowled as Dixie joined her. “I can’t believe that worked.” She muttered, already turning for her ‘Changing Room’.
“Maybe you could try being less of a bitch?” Dixie grinned impishly, waving ‘good-bye’ to her beaten opponent.
Rebecca scowled further, groaning in disgust as she felt her face begin to change. Her lips and nose hardened to an avian beak; stretching out from her face and hardening. But that wasn’t what sickened her: that honor fell to her changing scalp. She could feel her hair hardening into thin quills; feathers sprouting in tufts from her head. The girl moaned aloud as her eyes darkened, sliding to either side of her head.
“Well, at least it could be worse…” Rebecca muttered, reflecting on how unnatural it was to speak from behind a bird’s beak.
“It certainly could be!” Alan said, waving to the girls; then looking to the ‘Contestant Wheel’. “Looks like we have Sammy’s first outing!”
“Y’all are boring!” The redhead grinned, flipping some of her hair over her shoulder. “Alan, spin the ‘Loser’s Wheel’ for me!”
The crowd ‘oohed’ as Alan grinned. “While that’s hardly a typical request, there’s nothing in the rules that prevents it!” He spun the ‘Loser’s Wheel’, laughing as it landed on the golden ‘Audience Challenge’.
“I’ll explain some more of this to you, so you all know what’s at stake. The four of you will compete in a no-holds-barred competition. You each choose an audience member to change; then they become your puppet!” As he spoke, four podiums with joysticks appeared on stage. “What happens here is a good, clean competition. You’ll all be able to operate these--even with hooves, wings, paws, or flippers. The audience member will temporarily lose control over their body, and you’ll have the chance to operate them during their challenge. As far as you audience members go… You’re entirely at the mercy of your contestant! You’d better hope you haven’t been too much of a bitch to them!”
The girls all looked to Dixie, who stared down at her flippers with a small frown. “Um… Are you sure that I can use those?” She said, looking back at Alan.
“Absolutely! This first challenge is based off of the game ‘Frogger’! We want you to change some of your cheer squad into small reptiles or amphibians. Then, keep doing your best to have them cross through a traffic-based obstacle course. Whoever lasts the longest wins! So, who’ll you have your representative become?” As he finished this, a manipulator arm descended from the ceiling, attached to the show’s ‘TF Ray’.
Betty paused. “Um… I think I’d like to have a frog as mine? Keep it classic?” One of the girls from her cheer squad squeaked, then croaked as the ray bathed her in the greenish hue of change.
Rebecca followed with a smile behind her beak. “I think we’ll make Tabitha into a slimy skink. I hate that bitch.” She sniggered as a black-haired girl yelped aloud, writhing as she disappeared into her clothes as skin became scale.
“Um… Maybe I’ll have someone from my squad become a chameleon?” Sammy asked. “I haven’t played Frogger, but some camouflage couldn’t hurt, right?” She grinned as one of her friends started to turn the familiar blue and white of her cheerleading outfit. The girl’s eyes positively bulged from her head as she changed into a chameleon; a long and curly tail stretching out from her backside.
“And… I think I’ll make mine an iguana.” Dixie nodded to herself. “They’re surprisingly fast; that should make this easy.” The chosen girl from her squad nodded a little, still frowning as she turned a scaly green. Her hair became a frill along the back of her neck, and she hissed as she shrank deeper into her clothing.
The four newly transformed girls were collected by show personnel. The contestants noted their changed friends were oddly still, only breathing calmly as the attendants placed them in front of a little stage complete with small motorized cars that raced back and forth along the track.
Alan cleared his throat. “Now, just so you all know what’s at stake, these little obstacles act just like they did in the original game: if one of your girls touches them; they’ll be nothing more than roadkill. So do your best, and try not to lose!”
Betty nodded, her face screwed in concentration as she began to guide her cheerleader-turned-frog across the replica motorway. A few seconds and a few close calls later, she’d made it past the cars… Only to ‘pilot’ her frog straight into the little river. She frowned as the frog drowned helplessly. “Well, that’s harder than it looks.” She muttered taking a step back.
Alan watched the drowning frog with apathy. “Well, looks like Betty’s frog is all washed up! Let’s see how Rebecca and her skink fare.”
Rebecca’s turn went by much quicker. The second she put her hands on the controls, she grinned evilly, moving the little skink back and forth. “Too cool!” She said with a grin; promptly guiding the girl into traffic. “So, you’re telling me that she can still see and feel everything?” Rebecca looked up at Alan, expertly sending her girl up and down the lanes; each time narrowly missing a car.
“Absolutely she can! She must be terrified!” Alan laughed.
“I’ll bet.” Rebecca said with a soft smile, sending the girl closer and closer to oncoming traffic. “I wonder if she’s terrified right now; knowing that her gross little body is coming so close to being squished each time I do this…”
She danced the girl up and down, clicking her sticks with a sadistic smile. “I bet you hate being my puppet; would wish for anything to end this.” With that, she jerked her controls to the right, charging her skink straight into a car. “Wish granted.” Rebecca chuckled as the skink was run over.
Sammy swallowed nervously as she was called up, bouncing her little chameleon across half the road before the girl’s instincts started to kick in. The chameleon’s skin started to change to the same grey of the road, and Sammy whimpered loudly. “No no no, don’t change! I can’t see you when-” To emphasize and punctuate her sentence, a car hit her cheerleader, flattening it on the road. “Dang it!” She pounded one of her fists on the console, groaning aloud.
“That leaves us with Dixie! Care to give your fins a try?” Alan turned to the blonde with a grin.
Dixie nodded, stepping up to the stage confidently. “Don’t worry, girl! I’m gonna get you your five grand! She placed both fins on the control stick and her iguana was off at a mad dash, blowing through the course at ease. “First time I’ve been glad to go to a nerd school…” Dixie sighed with relief as a pair of attendants picked up the iguana, holding it aloft towards the transformation ray.
The reptile became a girl in a matter of moments, squeaking with relief as she became human once more. “Thanks Dixie; you’re the best!” She gave her friend a thumbs-up, squeaking with distress as she realized Dixie couldn’t return the gesture.
“Dixie really is; as the winner of this event, she’s safe!” Alan laughed, noticing all four of the contestants’ confusion. “Oh? Did I forget to mention? Anyone who loses these little rounds gets a spin on the ‘Wheel of Change’.” Alan looked at them with a smug smile, the girls all panicking slightly.
“Well, that’s not fun…” Betty whined, spinning her wheel to ‘Legs/Feet’. She groaned, walking back to her booth. Almost immediately, it lit up and worked its magical way across her body; stretching out her increasingly hairy legs. She sighed as she looked at the growing fur. “I swear, I just shaved these this morning…” Betty tossed her blonde hair behind her, sighing as her feet became hooves; her ankles thinning. “I kinda look like a satyr now, at least. I know a few guys out there who’d like me more like this, actually.”
“Yeah, lucky you.” Rebecca muttered as she spun ‘Head’. “Oh, you have to be kidding me.” She groaned, spinning the wheel twice more from her copied result. This time, the wheel revealed ‘Lower Body’ and ‘Size’, and Rebecca moaned aloud in distress. She made her way back to her ‘Changing Room’, bracing herself visibly.
She was right to; her whole body shrank down into her clothes even as everything between her navel and thighs reshaped. Her pussy became an avian cloaca; her tailbone stretched out, feathered plumage blooming from her behind. She groaned loudly, shaking her crow’s head as she struggled to free herself from her billowing clothes.
Sammy watched this with a little amusement and concern. “I really hope I don’t get ‘Size’, then.” She said with a frown. She spun the wheel, sighing as it clicked down to exactly her least desired change. “Lovely.” She muttered, turning back for the glass box of change.
The girl groaned, watching as her arms shrank first; becoming tiny compared to the rest of her body. Then the rest of her shrank in one go, sending her down into a tangled mass of stitched cloth. It was almost funny; her outfit used to fit so tightly on her form, and now she was going to be trapped within its billowing confines.
Then again, at least she could use the bright pink of her panties as a guide, letting it lead her out from her white skirt. She peeked out, yelping aloud at just how huge the rest of the world seemed around her. “Whoa! This is surreal!” She said, staring in surprise at how huge everything was.
“Oh? Well, why don’t you make your way on-stage again?” Alan looked at her with a smile, turning slightly to reveal the first wheel had chosen her.
“Um… While I walk over there, would you mind just spinning the other two wheels for me.. I’m pretty sure that this is beyond my capabilities…”
“Right you are!” Alan smirked, spinning the last wheels to reveal first ‘Pong’, then another golden ‘Audience Challenge’. “Ooh, lucky you!” Alan laughed. “Saved by the wheel; right now you four will compete in another cheerleading challenge. You’ll each choose a cheerleader who’ll be again piloted by you. This one’s a little less lethal for the bugs, but none the less permanent for it. You’ll be sending some skittery socialites along an obstacle course; this time all four of you competing at the same time!”
As he spoke, some little control sticks rose from the platform--two of which were significantly smaller than the others. “So, starting with Betty once more!” Alan waved at her with a smile.
“I’ll make mine into a grasshopper!” Betty grinned confidently, watching one of her cheer squad shrink. As the girl descended into her clothes, she chirped aloud. Her skin was already becoming greenish and chitinous, and the grasshopper chirped loudly as it bounced out of its skirt; freezing as the reprogramming kicked in.
Rebecca stared at her cheer squad, debating on if she wanted to single anyone else out. “Nah, it’s not worth losing.” She breathed aloud, instead turning to Alan. “Make one of them into a… Mantis. That might be pretty solid.” She smiled, one of her girls squeaking a little as her hands became the talon-like forelimbs of an insect. Her back bulged out as it became a pair of wings; then she too disappeared within her voluminous clothing.
But when it came to Sammy, the diminutive girl glared at her squad. “Hey, Taylor? Remember all of that hazing you did, because you thought you were ‘prettier’ than I was?” The redhead grinned evilly. “Payback’s a bitch, you little cockroach.”
The girl in question opened her mouth to retort; but she screamed instead, feeling her lips stretch out to become buglike mandibles. She tried to make her way on-stage, but with every step she shrank more and more, transforming with every step until she was crawling on all fours; then on all six limbs. A pair of antennae sprouted from the girl’s forehead as she lost the rest of her hair, and her back gave birth to long, flat wings. Sammy almost thought she heard Taylor squeak out one last distressed yelp as she changed into a cockroach.
“Oh, that’s just perfect.” Sammy grinned as the little roach froze in place, waiting to be placed on stage.
“Which leaves me… And I think I’ll make mine into a spider… Not sure which kind. Maybe a big one, so I can see it better.” Dixie tapped one of her fins against her lower lip idly, nodding to herself. “Yeah, that sounds right.”
She was echoed by a scream from her cheer section. “No, no, no! I don’t want to be some sort of hairy bug!” The girl panicked, her arms already hardening to arachnid carapace even as long and soft hairs sprouted all along her body. “How could you do this to me; I don’t want-” She was cut off as her lips sealed, becoming a small drinking tube. Even as that happened, her teeth bulged out from the skin under her nose; darkening and lengthening to some impressive fangs. All eight of her eyes watered as she dwindled down to an appropriate size--though she was notably larger than the rest of the bugs.
Stagehands walked out to pick up each of the new bugs--the one tasked to the cockroach crinkling her nose in disgust. The bug were all placed in different corners, and the girls nodded, looking down at their birds-eye view of the maze.
“Pretty simple stuff. You girls need to control your respective bugs. If two bugs run into one another, they’ll fight in the most natural and efficient manner. So, I’d advise you don’t do that.” Alan paused, looking at Sammy with a small smile. “Unless you don’t want your bug to survive the round, that is.”
“Duly noted.” Sammy grinned evilly at the little cockroach she was controlling. “And that bitch can hear and feel every bit of it, can’t she?” Her eyes widened slightly as the cockroach’s antennae started to twitch wildly in distress. “Oh, that’s a ‘yes’ if I’ve ever seen one.” Sammy cooed, chuckling, “Can we start? Can we?”
Alan nodded. “Go!” He cheered, and each of the girls set off. Only while Betty, Rebecca, and Dixie were trying to reach their own corners, the tiny redhead of the group set her cockroach on a collision course with a wall, ramming the little bug’s head into it over and over.
Sammy giggled. “She’s totally under my control, isn’t she?” She looked back to the maze, sending her dazed cockroach out towards Dixie’s spider.
Dixie whimpered, trying to use her flippers to maneuver her tarantula out of the way. “No no, get away; I can’t afford to lose any time on this!” Dixie groaned, eventually giving up her attempts to simply speed past the controlled cockroach.
Sammy beamed as Dixie’s spider munched down, devouring the cockroach and sucking out its juices. “I wonder if you can still feel that; I hear cockroaches have very high pain tolerances.” Sammy chuckled, placing one of her hands against her cheek. “I hope you can. I hope your last thoughts are about how powerless you are beneath my control…” She chuckled, looking back to the maze to find that the mantis had just barely beaten out the grasshopper.
“Fantastic job, ladies! But unfortunately, those of you with losing bugs don’t get to have your cheerleaders back--they’re stuck like this forever. Their minds will be returned to them, though… But I’m not sure how much of a mercy that is. From there, it’s all up to their cheer team as to their fate!” Alan grinned as the mantis became a blonde and busty cheerleader once more.
The girl beamed with relief, looking down at the other bugs with a little disgust. “Ew, I can’t believe I was one of those.” She muttered, walking back to her clothes to at least slip on her skirt.
The grasshopper was returned to her team, all of whom frowned and scratched their heads. “Well… Janice always liked the Science Club… Maybe we can give her to their pet snake?” The girls mumbled, all trying to think of what would fit the girl’s inevitable fate.
The spider had a much less troubling future ahead of her. “My brother’s always wanted a pet tarantula, but my mom was worried the thing might be too dangerous. I’m pretty sure that Ginny will be a good bug, won’t she?” The tarantula bobbed its head frantically at that, no doubt having overheard the grasshopper’s fate.
“And now, three spins on the ‘Wheel of Change for our three losers; one apiece!” Alan shouted, drawing attention to the stage once more.
Betty was up first, trotting on her hooves to spin and reveal ‘Lower Body’. She sighed, walking back to her booth. “Remember what I said about looking like a satyr before?” She muttered, glancing down to see her tailbone stretching out into a fluffy cervine’s behind. Her hips clicked out and she yelped; thrown to her hands. “Well, this is distressing.” She muttered. Betty tried and failed to keep herself on two legs, thudding back down to her hands a moment later. “Lovely.” The blonde huffed.
Rebecca spun the the wheel next--though it took her a bit of doing to get it moving. She managed to get it moving by swinging on it until her birdy body’s momentum carried it barely a full revolution; settling slowly on ‘Arms/Hands’. Rebecca grinned quietly at that. While it was hardly desirable, it was a lot better than getting a repeat result.
She walked back to her booth a moment later, clamping her beak shut in preparation for the changes. These were a hell of a lot better than the first set; though. Fingers becoming feathered nubs was hardly uncomfortable, and feeling the rest of her arms become tufted was almost pleasurable. Rebecca waved her arms idly, chuckling at how light they felt. “All done over here, Alan.” She said with a smile, waggling her birdy behind in anticipation of the next challenge. She still had her legs and upper body; she might be able to win this!
Sammy looked at the wheel, debating on attempting the gymnastic performance that Rebecca had done to spin the wheel. She settled against it; she was far less suited for such a task; even if her only changes thus far had resulted in her small stature. “One more spin on the loser’s wheel for me.” She sighed, running a hand through her red hair.
“Regretting giving up the ghost so easily?” Alan chuckled, spinning the wheel with one hand idly.
“Nope, totally… worth it…” Sammy trailed off as the wheel slowly ticked down to ‘Complete Change’. “Okay, maybe regretting it now a little.” She muttered, walking back to her ‘Changing Room’ and getting down to all fours in expectation of what was to come. But nothing could have prepared her for the twisting of her entire body changing at once. Even though it wasn’t accompanied by the vertigo of shrinking, this change still had enough discomfort to set her growing hackles on edge.
Sammy twitched her nose, gritting her teeth as it stretched out into a muzzle. The changes assailed her rear just as they were working on her face; and the girl squeaked as a long, hairless tail extended from her spine. It twitched in the cool air-conditioned room, her furry body shivering. Her hands and feet twitched as they reshaped into paws, and she groaned in distress at the feeling. It was like her hands were shrinking even as much as her feet were stretching out.
Now completely a rodent, Sammy scampered out from her clothing; her eyes widening as she realized that her sister, Sarah, was her only family member there. The girl walked on stage, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “So, is it alright if I take her?” Sammy’s sister spoke with a sadistic smile.
“Of course! Mind if I ask what you have in mind?” Alan laughed, waving some attendants on-stage to bring out a small carrying case for the little mouse.
“Well…” Sarah frowned, shifting her leg slightly so that Sammy could get a good look at her underwear. “I don’t know, to be honest. Depending on how good of a pet she is, I might get her a little hamster wheel, feed her lots of kibble until she gets round and fat…” Sarah chuckled, remembering how obsessed Sammy had been with her figure.
“Or I could always have her ‘play’ with our cat for a bit…” Sarah squatted down, giving Sammy an even closer look. She reached out with one hand, picking up the wriggling rodent by its tail. The girl placed her sister-turned rodent into her cleavage, taking the carrying case with a smile.
“We’ll just have to see how this plays out…” Sarah paused, placing the carrying case down. “Then again, I do need to mull things over…” As she spoke, she pulled the mouse out; tossing it from hand to hand idly. “After all, I know she has a fear of heights; I’ll have to be careful.”
Alan watched the mouse flail about in the air wildly Sarah kept tossing it about. “So that’s probably not helping at all?” He chuckled as Sarah caught her sister a final time.
“Oh, no! What was I thinking!” Sarah said overdramatically. “Dearest sister of mine, can you ever forgive me?” She looked down to the mouse in her hands, squeezing it in a hug that was far too tight. The mouse’s eyes bulged, and once the hug let up it began panting madly for breath, slumping tiredly onto one of Sarah’s palms.
“Yay! You can!” Sarah giggled, slipping her shrunken sister back between her bosoms. “This totally makes up for all of the times you were at practice and couldn’t hang out; doesn’t it?” She cooed, patting the tired mouse idly.
Alan laughed. “So, you like your sister more as a mouse?”
“I don’t know…” Sarah frowned, looking at the tuckered-out mouse in her cleavage. “She’s not very interesting now, either.”
“Well, try not to make too much of a mess of her… And speaking of messes, let’s get to our next game!” He spun the first wheel, pointing at Betty with a smile. “Betty, you’re up!” He waved Sarah off-set with the other hand, chuckling at the thought of what she’d do to her sister.
The half-deer girl stumbled her way on stage, moving in an awkward trot on her hands and knees. “Oh, this isn’t good…” She muttered, but she somehow managed to spin both the ‘Challenge Wheel’ and the ‘Wheel of Change’. They settled on ‘Limbo’ and ‘Head’, and Betty sighed audibly.
“Maybe I would’ve been better off trying for an ‘Audience Challenge’.” She muttered, shaking her head at the attendants as they started to set up the stage. “I’m out. I’m giving up this time.” Betty held her blonde head high as she awkwardly made her way back to the room.
But when the changes began, Betty lost all sense of dignity. The sight of her nose inflating was too much to bear for her composure, and the girl whined in distress. “N-no! I don’t want to get a deer face; it’s worse than I thought!” She whimpered, feeling her teeth get big and blocky in her mouth. Her nostrils flared out as her cute face pushed out into a cervine muzzle, and she groaned loudly. Betty’s ears flicked to and fro as the same hair that had covered her lower body had spread to her head; replacing her human hair. Finally, her ears stretched out, twitching feebly as they reached their full length.
“So, those guys from earlier… How would they think about you now?” Alan laughed teasingly.
“Well… One out of three still might, maybe…” Betty muttered from her beastly head.
“Mhmm… At least Rebecca is up next!” Alan waved up the crow-girl, who sighed. She made it to the ‘Challenge Wheel’, barely spinning it to the second ‘Long Jump’ that night. The next attempt to hook her wings around the ‘Wheel of Change’ was less successful, resulting in agonizing seconds of audience laughter before the small crow-girl was able to get the wheel in motion. It settled on ‘Head’, and Rebecca’s heart sank. She could go through the ordeal of trying to spin it again, or...
“‘Loser’s Wheel’ for me, Alan.” Rebecca groaned, following the wheel as it settled on ‘Mind’ and ‘Complete Change’. “Got it. Dixie.” She said with a confident nod.
“Seriously?” Dixie laughed. “Thanks for the freebie!” She jogged up, jumping before Rebecca could and getting sixteen feet. Dixie frowned. “Is that good?”
“We’ll just see…” Rebecca muttered, moving her small body back. She jogged forwards, then with a mighty leap made it all of four feet. But before her feet touched the ground, the girl began flapping her wings madly; her body had felt significantly lighter, and while she couldn’t fly; she might just… Rebecca strained, giving her all into this last push. Her efforts were rewarded by landing at sixteen and a quarter feet. The tuckered out bird-girl slumped to the ground victoriously. “How’s that?” She breathed, her chest hiking.
“Well, crap.” Dixie muttered, looking at her cheerleading team. “How’s about making me an unofficial mascot? I can’t promise I’ll be good, but…”
“You go, girl!” The squad’s cheer captain waved her on, and Dixie smiled back a little unsuredly.
“At least seals are cute…” She muttered, stepping into the ‘Changing Room’. “Even if I am… going…” She shook her head, the ability to form coherent sentences dissipating from her mind along with most of her memories.. “Not fluffy… Me. Seal?” The blonde blinked, her jaw going slack as the rest of her mind was reprogrammed. “Ort? Ort, ort, ort!” She barked, clapping her seal-fins together and falling onto her belly. As she squirmed around for the audience’s entertainment, her legs merged into an aquatic tail and her feet flattened out. Dixie slapped her new tailfin on the ground with pleasure, barking louder as her once-attractive feminine figure was overtaken by sealy blubber. Her skin became thick and fat, and her face pushed out into a pinniped’s blunt muzzle.
Dixie shook her face left and right, ‘ort’ing as whiskers pushed out from the sides of her face; brushing against the ground as she nuzzled the tile floor.
“Ort!” Dixie let out triumphantly, slapping her fins together as she fully transformed into a seal, her head reshaping and her hair pulling back into her scalp. Her cheer team cooed as they walked over to her, each of them fighting for the new seal’s attention.
“She’s so cute!” One of them squealed, scratching Dixie under her chin.
“I love her little whiskers!” Another yelped, petting her belly.
“And her cute nose!” A third exclaimed, tickling the pinniped’s sides.
Overwhelmed by the stimuli, Dixie slapped her tail against the ground, huffing with pure bliss.
“Well, looks like she’s not going to have it as bad as Sammy, eh? But the game’s not over yet!” Alan returned to the wheels with a flourish. “Next up, we have a challenge between Betty and Rebecca! It might come down to this; both are so far changed that one wrong spin could multiply into their complete loss. Who’s going to spin?”
Betty stepped up after a moment’s indecision, spinning the ‘Challenge Wheel’ to ‘Life’s Hard Knocks. “Um… I’d like to propose a deal?”
Alan smirked. “Oh? Go on.”
The deer-headed girl cleared her throat. “Since I don’t want to risk getting a ‘mind’ result like that… Or anything on the ‘Loser’s Wheel’, I’m willing to concede my human form… If Rebecca promises to give thirty thousand dollars of her winnings away. Ten to my cheer team; twenty to the zoo I’m in.”
“Try again.” Rebecca scoffed. “I’m in it to win it.”
“Oh?” Betty twitched a cervine ear in amusement. “Looks like we’ll settle this now, then.” She spun the wheel, beaming as it settled on ‘size’.
Alan clapped with a slow smile. “So, in this contest you two will be playing against one another. Your goal is to use any part of your body to register the highest readout on one of our impact-recording ‘Punch-Plates’.” He finished with a meaningful look at Betty’s hooves.
The almost-human smile on her face was almost as terrifying to Rebecca as the contest’s inevitable result. “H-hey, let’s not get hasty…”
“What happened to ‘in it to win it’?” Betty sneered. “No, you’re on.”
The two girls took their places, each of them bracing themselves. At the start of the bell Betty’s hooves smacked into the plate with a thunderclap. “Oops. Looks like I win.” She sniggered as Rebecca fluttered at her plate, barely tapping it with her feet.
Sure enough, a moment later a loud buzzer rang; Betty’s plate displaying a solid one thousand pounds of force. Rebecca’s sat at a measly five in comparison.
“Lovely.” Rebecca muttered, looking back to the ‘Loser’s Wheel’. Of everything there, the only salvation was getting an audience member to be changed in her place… ‘Instincts’ and ‘Mind’ would be too harsh against her at this point in the game… No, she had to spin the regular wheel. The half-bird girl fluttered her way over to the ‘Wheel of Change’, overexerting herself to mercifully land on both ‘Upper Body’ and ‘Legs/Feet’.
“That’s all there is to change, right? I don’t think I can do that again…” Rebecca groaned.
“Absolutely correct!” Alan smiled, waving her back to her ‘Changing Room’.
Rebecca held out her wings, feeling her shoulders pop as the room started to bathe her in transformative energy. She felt her chest puff out, her breasts sinking back into her body as her skin started to grow a coat of feathers. Her legs and feet reshaped next, and Rebecca gasped as her middle toes merged; followed by her end toes. It left her with three talons on each foot; though she soon grew a fourth as the back of her heel stretched away from her ankle. Rebecca moaned aloud at the feeling of her skin hardening, becoming dark and calloused. Her nails hardened into the claws, topping each of her talons.
The girl ruffled her dark feathers, looking down and feeling her whole body become lighter. She let out a faint sigh of relief as the changes ebbed away, looking up at the audience once more; now a complete crow.
The girl let out a caw; then another as she realized her voice had been taken from her. She should have expected that; though… She glared at Betty, fluttering back to her cheer team to continue glaring at the winner malevolently.
“What?” Betty smirked. “I offered you a fair deal… Though now I guess I don’t need to spend the rest of my life in a zoo. Alan, I’d like to remain human after this… Though if I could be a bipedal deer-satyr, that’d be awesome.” She said with a smile, looking up to the ‘TF-Ray’. Her cervine form seemed to melt away around her, and the girl shook her hair out as it regrew; her fur receding in the process. “Oh, that feels good.” She smiled, standing up on two legs once more. She sent a glance to her feet to find they weren’t reshaping, and she looked to Alan in surprise. “Can this beam seriously do this?” She asked excitedly.
“Of course! We just typically don’t get many requests for hybrids.” He laughed, watching as her changes completed. True to her request, she was human above the waist; and an anthropomorphic deer below. “But we’re always willing to take them! Who knows? Find out next week on?”
“Wheel! Of! Change!”
