(Woman to Bird, Woman to Cow, Woman to Dog, Woman to Gerbil)

“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to tonight’s... Wheel! Of! Change!” The host, Alan Thompson, looked out at the audience with a huge smile. Once more, he delved into the show’s rules.

“America’s only transformation game show! Spin the wheel, pick a player; and you two compete for whichever body part remains human! Get a part that’s already changed, and you need to spin twice more! Fully transform and you’re out; and if you do too poorly you?” He paused, waiting for the crowd to finish his thought.

“Lose! Your! Mind!”

Alan nodded with a smile, stretching out an arm to the parting curtains at the edge of the stage. “That’s right, folks--we’ll be seeing some full transformations today, so let’s greet our lovely contestants! We have Vanessa, Tammy, Gabrielle, and Stephanie!”

One by one, the women walked on stage: A brunette, two dirty blondes, and a blonde woman all smiling and waving.

“Vanessa, age 24, is an interior decorator from Palm Springs, California! Tammy is a stay-at-home mom at the young age of 31, here from Denver, Colorado! Gabrielle is from Lafayette, Louisiana--don’t let this 19-year old party girl catch you without your Mardi Gras beads! And dear Stephanie is from the Big Apple, where she’s lived all 27 years of her life!”

The crowd applauded enthusiastically with each girl’s introduction; and they bowed, walking up to their individual ‘Changing Rooms’.

The 'Changing Rooms' were beautiful in their simplicity. Each was a transparent glass box with a transmitter above it. These ‘Transformation Emitters’ were the real magic behind the game show. The devices could each fire a beam that could selectively change someone’s body. First used by the fetish industry; then the military; now home entertainment. Even if this case of ‘home entertainment’ held an awful lot in common with the beam’s original usage…

Alan waited for them to close their Changing Rooms’ doors; then spoke again. “Ladies? If you’d be so kind as to open one of your cases?”

Each of the women stepped back to the rear of their booths, watching as three small suitcases rose up from the floor. Each case held a card detailing a species; the animal that their owner would become should they behave poorly. One by one, the women picked a case, flipping its latches open.

The crowd “ooh’ed” at that. Vanessa’s read ‘COW’, Tammy’s read ‘DOG’, Gabrielle’s read ‘FINCH’, and Stephanie’s read ‘GERBIL’.

“Now, I’d like to remind all of you watching back home that each woman gets to put in a vote for what the others will become--that’s what the three cases are there for. And it looks like at least one of our lovely contestants will be winning regardless!” Alan waved to Tammy. “‘It’s a dog’s life’, after all!”

“More like ‘a bitch of a time’...” Tammy laughed. “My kids were very explicit in saying that if I become a dog, they’re going to mercilessly play with me every day--and I believe them. Ever see a two-year old with a pet?” She shivered.

“Couldn’t be worse than being a cow, could it?” Alan waved to Vanessa, who scowled.

“Implying I’m going to lose this already?” She asked.

“She makes a rather moo-ving argument, doesn’t she?” Alan laughed. “Let’s just hope that Miss Steak doesn’t end up making too many mistakes!”

Vanessa and the crowd groaned audibly, while Gabrielle sniggered aloud.

“Glad you think it’s funny, birdbrain.” Vanessa muttered with a quiet glare.

Gabrielle glared in response. “Ooh, I know who I’m gonna try to change first…” She grinned evilly, and Vanessa backed down nervously.

“Sounds like our leading ladies are stirred up and ready to go, so what say we get this show on the road!” Alan waved, a trip of wheels appearing behind him. “As you know, each of these determines what happens in each round! ‘Contestant; Challenge; and the Wheel of Change!’. So let’s give this one a whirl and see who’s up first!” He said loudly, spinning the wheel with a flourish. It clicked loudly, settling on Gabrielle.

She smiled from ear to ear, strutting out from her booth to spin the ‘Challenge Wheel’. It settled on ‘High or Low’, and she nodded expectantly. Then she spun the ‘Wheel of Change’, laughing as it landed on ‘Arms/Hands’.

“Alan, I think we all know who I’m choosing for this round!” She laughed again, pointing to Vanessa’s booth. “Ride it on out, cowgirl!”

Vanessa joined Gabrielle on the stage with a frown. “Damn it…” She groaned, gritting her teeth as she looked at the host.

Alan nodded at both of them. “‘High or Low’!” He announced, pulling out a deck of cards. “I deal you a card, and you have to say whether the next draw will be higher or lower. Aces high; Jokers highest.”

The women nodded, Gabrille getting an ‘eight’ and Vanessa getting a ‘ten’. Both of them frowned, they had about the same odds of getting the correct guess.

“Gabrielle, you start.”

“Higher.” She said, letting out a sigh of relief when her next card was a ‘king’.

“And Vanessa?” Alan turned, holding out the deck expectantly.

“Lower.” An ‘eight’.

Both of the women scowled at each other again.

“Higher.” Gabrielle said, looking at Vanessa. Then she looked back to her ‘king’. “Oh, crap.”

“Sorry, Gabrielle! All bets are final!” Alan said, almost in time with Vanessa’s “Suck it!”

Alan took his time flipping over this card, laughing aloud as it revealed an ‘ace’. “Looks like that was a happy mistake, wasn’t it? Vanessa, it’s your go.”

The crowd broke out in applause as Vanessa gaped like a goldfish, staring at the deck of cards accusingly. “Um… Lower?” She tried again, pressing her luck. This time, she received a ‘nine’, and the woman groaned out loud.

“Sorry Vanessa, but it looks like you’ve lost our first round. If you don’t mind heading back to the ‘Changing Room’?”

“Yeah, yeah…” She muttered, walking back into her glass box. She grit her teeth, her eyes watering slightly as the transmitter above her bathed her in a green light, her arms slowly drawing away from her body and her hands twisting into a pair of hooves. Black and white fur covered her changing arms, and the woman groaned in distress at how ugly they looked. She looked at her bovine arms, glaring at Gabrielle.

“Aw, I’m sorry.” Gabrielle winked, sticking out her tongue.

“Yeah, you’re damned right you are…” Vanessa muttered, watching Alan spin the ‘Contestant’ wheel again. This time, it settled on Vanessa, and she walked out on stage with a cruel look at Gabrielle. “Payback time.” She muttered.

But when it came for her turn at the wheel, she could barely spin either of them. Her hooves fumbled at the smooth surface, though she was able to get the ‘Challenge’ wheel to ‘Tough Breaks’. But when it came time for the ‘Wheel of Change’, she was unable to get her clumsy hooves between the notches.

“Having some trouble?” Alan appeared at her shoulder, grinning impishly as she nodded. “Then you know what that means!” He waved his arm to the crowd.

“Loser’s Wheel!” They cheered, applauding as the ‘Wheel of Change’ digitally swapped its results for another, harsher set.

“You know, I can’t say I’ve ever seen someone get to the ‘Loser’s Wheel’ this early… And I’ve never seen someone manage to pull off a good win with it.”

“Yeah, well get ready to see some change.” Vanessa said, though she sounded less than confident.

“We’ll get the grill ready.” Alan winked, spinning the wheel. The crowd watched with baited breath, ready to see poor Vanessa’s results. It slowed, ticking slowly on ‘Complete Change’. But, just as it looked like it’d settle there, it clicked down to ‘Instincts’.

Vanessa let out a huge sigh of relief, turning to Gabrielle. Then she frowned, seeing how ready the girl was. Stephanie looked braced, too… So that left Tammy. “I think we’ll play this one out against our canine contestant.” Vanessa said, a little unsuredly.

“Right-o!” Alan waved Tammy over, who was grinning from ear to ear. “Something the matter?”

“I’ve seen this show enough to know what this game is!” Tammy clapped, filling Vanessa’s mind with dread.

Alan gave her a showman’s smile.“Oh? And what is it?”

“In ‘Tough Breaks’, you just need to crack a dozen eggs, right?” The housewife turned to Vanessa with a smug grin. “Sorry, dear… But those hooves are no match for a married woman’s fingers...Alan..I’ll take my steak medium rare, when it’s time...” She laughed, heading to the center of the stage as attendants wheeled out a pair of makeshift tables. Vanessa followed her a moment later, frowning unsuredly.

“Sounds like a plan to me! All you need to do is crack the eggs in the bowl! And on my mark… Go!”

Tammy was off in a flash, popping her case open and cracking one egg, then another, then another. Vanessa looked nervously at her; then back to her own box. Then, to the crowd’s amusement, she fumbled at it with her hooves.

“Gotta do better than that, dear! I’m gonna love my snack!” Tammy said distractedly, already halfway done with her box.

Vanessa glared, hefting the box up with both of her hooves. Then she simply dropped the carton of eggs in her bowl and mashed it flat with one of her hooves. “Does that work?” She said hurriedly, her eyes wide.

Tammy just stared, her last egg in her hands. “That’s… That’s cheating, isn’t it?”

For a moment the crowd was silent, staring as they tried to figure out what had just happened.

Then Alan laughed out loud, slapping his knees. “I have never seen something like that before! Vanessa technically wins--the best kind of victory!”

“But… But…” Tammy muttered, walking back to her room nonetheless.

“Relax, this will only tingle for a moment.” Alan said as a soft light filled her ‘Changing Room’. Tammy squeezed her eyes shut, shaking her head in a distinctly canine fashion when that was done. “I feel kinda… funny…” She said, whining.

Alan spun the first wheel again, nodding. “Well, luckily for you, this round goes to Stephanie.”

The New Yorker strode on stage with a cocksure grin, spinning both wheels at once. She revealed ‘Pong’ and ‘Head’, nodding to herself. “I don’t think that Tammy’s so lucky… I might have to pick her for this one.”

Tammy whined, her head hung low as she walked on stage dejectedly.

“Cheer up, girl! In ‘Pong’, your only goal is to bounce as many ping-pong balls into a Solo cup as possible!” Alan laughed as the women took their spots.

The buzzer sounded, and Tammy growled lowly, her whole body tensed as she prepared to sink her first shot.

“Here girl! Here girl! Want the ball?” Stephanie’s voice rang through the room, and Tammy’s head snapped to the other woman. Almost immediately, the stay-at-home mom’s eyes glazed over, and she dropped to all fours, barking enthusiastically as Stephanie waved one of her ping-pong balls in the air.

Then, once she was sure she had Tammy’s attention, Stephanie hurled the ball into the audience, turning back to her own set of balls and cups with a victorious grin. Sure enough, Tammy practically bounced into the crowd, barking loudly as she searched left and right for the ball. While she was distracted, Stephanie managed to get a solid six balls in her cup before the buzzer rang again. At that point, Tammy bounced back, a ball tightly held in her mouth. She spat it out onto the ground before Stephanie, panting for a moment before she shook her head again.

“Wait… What just… Oh no.” Tammy’s face colored as she realized what she’d done on national television. “Can… Can that be cut from the final take, I don’t want anyone to have seen me do that…” She muttered dejectedly.

“Sorry, no luck there… But if you go back to your Changing Room, there might be a treat in it for you!” Alan grinned.

Tammy perked up immediately. “Oh?” She asked, her butt wiggling gently as she bounced in place.

“You get a cute dog’s face! Get going, girl!”

“Oh.” Tammy sighed, obediently padding back to her Changing Room with a sad frown.

One flash of green later, and the woman flexed her jaw as it cracked out into a beagle’s snout, her ears growing long and floppy even as her nose turned a dark shade of black. Her hair fell out in clumps, and she whined in distress; her new ears drooping in sorrow. “That’s cheating… Wait, I can still talk!” She looked up, her hands flying to her throat as she let her longer tongue loll out from her mouth.

“Of course! Don’t want to unjustly miss any contestant’s banter! Especially when they’re up next!” Alan took a step back, revealing Tammy’s name.

She whined, stepping out and spinning both wheels. It revealed ‘Marco Polo’, and ‘Arms/Hands’. “I think I want Vanessa for this.” She nodded, knowing that if she could beat Vanessa, this would be her chance to knock the woman completely out of the game.

From what Tammy had seen, repeated changes meant that the loser had to spin the ‘Wheel of Change’ for two new results… And since Vanessa couldn’t spin the normal wheel; she’d need Alan to spin the Loser’s Wheel… Yes, this was the perfect plan. Especially given the game...

“Vanessa it is!” Alan beamed as the cow-armed woman stepped out on stage.

“Oh, you unbelievable literal bitch.” Vanessa frowned.

“Hey, even a dog can come up with some pretty good plans.” Tammy said, panting with pride.

Alan nodded over some stagehands, one of whom brought with them a blindfold. “All right. In ‘Marco Polo’, you have thirty seconds to find Vanessa. She’ll be given a chance to hide as you get blindfolded; then you just need to hunt her down… And if you head off of the stage; you’re out!”

Tammy nodded, even as Vanessa laughed aloud. “You dumb mutt! How the hell are you going to do that? It’s practically a game of chance!”

“Not quite.” Tammy smiled behind her doggy muzzle, whimpering a little as the attendants had to lift her ears to tie her blindfold on under them.

A timer ticked down as Vanessa walked to the lip of the stage, a smug grin on her face. If she waited by the edge, then Tammy had a greater chance of falling off than finding her! She did her best to keep from laughing and giving away her position; and the timer buzzed loudly.

Then, to Vanessa’s distress, Tammy simply made a bee-line for the other woman, tapping her on one of her cowy arms. “Gotcha!” Tammy barked, pulling off her blindfold triumphantly.

“How… How…”

Tammy tapped her nose. “You’re not the only one who can use their animal bits. Bet you regret giving me the ability to use this nose.” She panted happily, practically skipping back to her booth to watch Vanessa’s changes.

Vanessa whimpered loudly, looking at Alan helplessly. “I still can’t spin the wheel…” She muttered.

“You heard her, folks!” Alan spun the now-shifted Loser’s Wheel. It quietly clicked, slowing down to reach a golden tick-mark. Vanessa beamed, grinning from ear to ear as Alan spoke again. “First spin down; and it looks like Vanessa’s been saved by an audience member! The gold slot is a full change for one lucky audience member in her section!”

The crowd murmured uneasily as a manipulator arm extended from the ceiling. It had a cartoonish ray-gun attached to it: the show’s ‘TF-Ray’. The arm slowly swiveled from target to target, alighting on a hapless middle-aged woman.

“Me?” She had just enough time to mutter, before the gun hit her with a ray of transformative energy. Her cry of distress turned into a cow’s lowing, the woman’s body practically expanding to twice its size. Her whole frame shuddered as the people around her cleared room, and the woman fell to all fours; her face stretching out into a bovine muzzle with a loud ‘moo’ of distress.

“Anyone here with our new livestock?” Alan called. Nobody answered, so he laughed. “Then it looks like we’ll be having some steaks, prepared by our own master chef!” The audience applauded and the cow mooed vacantly, one of its ears twitching as it chewed its own cud. “Might I remind you that all audience transformations are a hundred percent permanent--and a hundred percent complete! That includes their mind, so don’t worry. Little Miss Cowy has no idea what’s coming to her. Just like Vanessa doesn’t know what her second spin is!”

The crowd’s attention shifted from the cow in the back rows of the audience to the woman in a ‘Changing Room’, and she shivered uncomfortably. Alan spun the wheel again, and Vanessa let out a half-sob as it landed on ‘Full Change’.

The woman moaned loudly as her body slowly grew. Her clothes creaked at the seams as she put on pound after pound, her face cracking out into an animal’s snout. The woman’s forehooves clopped on the stage floor as she fell to all fours, and black spots emerged across the white fur that was covering her entire body.

Her breasts slid down her body to become a large udder between her legs, and the woman’s tailbone expanded; a tuft of fur covering its tip. She moaned again--though this was more of a ‘moo’, her expanding as with the rest of her body; and her flanks rippling with animal muscle and fat alike.

There was just a moment of discomfort; then her clothes fell to shredded tatters around her. Vanessa groaned loudly, feeling her heavy udder sway behind her; every pound of flesh that she now sported. She wasn’t used to having so many pounds of flab on her once-delicate frame.

Vanessa the cow lowed sadly, shaking out her head and looking around her now-small booth.

“Well, you saw it here, people! Two cows in as many spins!” Alan grinned, turning to Vanessa’s family with a wide smile. “Will you be having her cooked? Or would you like free and fresh milk every morning?”

Vanessa’s eyes pleaded for mercy, and her prayers were answered as her family smiled. “I think we’ll keep her… Until she’s no longer useful.” Vanessa’s father said with a teasing smile. “I used to work on a farm, and we’ve got a big enough yard. ‘Sides; I have some friends that might want some calves in the future.”

Vanessa lowed again, her ears flat against her head as she was led out from her 'Changing Room'.

“And then there were three.” Tammy panted contentedly.

Alan spun the contestant’s wheel, looking at Tammy as it settled on her name once more. “Care to make that two?”

“I do!” Tammy nodded, her ears flopping as she spun both wheels. ‘R.P.S.’ and ‘Head’ were revealed, and Tammy frowned. Stephanie had played dirty before, so she’d need to try her luck with Gabrielle. “You wouldn’t mind getting a bird-head for me, would you?”

“I really would, but that’s not gonna stop you from choosing me, is it?” Gabrielle sighed. She walked on stage, looking at her dog-headed opponent.

Tammy panted happily as Alan explained the instructions. “‘R.P.S.’ Also known as Rock-Paper-Scissors! Do either of you need any further explanation?”

“I think we have it.” Gabrielle smiled. “Oh three?” Tammy nodded, screwing her face in conversation. Gabrielle smiled wider. “Great! One, two, three, paw!” At the word, Tammy’s open palm instinctively shot out, all thoughts of competition replaced with the drive to be a good girl.

Common sense reasserted itself a moment too late, and Tammy looked at her hand; then at Tammy’s. She whined in distress, seeing the other girl’s outstretched ‘V’.

“Scissors cuts paper. Sorry, but I want to win.” She walked back to her booth, leaving Tammy to spin the Wheel of Change twice more.

The first result was ‘Arms/Hands’, followed by another ‘Head’, Tammy whined, and spun the wheel again; getting ‘Legs/Feet’ and ‘Arms/Hands’.

At that, Tammy positively whimpered, looking to Alan for help.

“Sorry, but I think you’re just absolutely unlucky… The only things left for you are ‘Upper Body’, ‘Lower Body’, and ‘Size’. Get another repeat TF, and it might be all over for you.”

Tammy sighed, going for two more spins; getting both ‘Upper Body’ and ‘Lower Body’. “Well, it could be worse…” She muttered sadly, walking back to her booth. She waited on all fours, growling under her breath as new changes overtook her.

They seemed to go in the order of her spins, her hands twisting into canine paws; her palms fluffing out to pads. Her arms cracked and bent; her wrists losing much of their mobility. The woman’s legs were next, a more drastic change that left her wobbling unsteadily on all fours. She whimpered loudly, feeling rather than seeing her feet shorten into stubby canine paws.

Then her whole torso shuddered. Her breasts dwindled to teats, more of them growing out from her belly a moment later. Her shoulders and hips popped; letting her body stand more comfortably on all fours. Finally, a long and wagging tail extended from her spine, and she panted, her head turning to it as she idly considered chasing it.

“You okay in there, Tammy?” Alan tapped on her booth; and Tammy blinked, her ears flattening as she realized she’d been doing a good deal more than considering chasing her new tail. She had it clamped tightly in her mouth, and she looked guiltily up at the host, nodding.

“Sorry…” She muttered, still astonished at how her completely canine body could manage human speech. The miracles of modern technology… Even if she’d rather be a person than a dog.

Not that it wasn’t a kind change, but it was still a constant reminder that she was a step down from human. Just the thought of her husband looking at her like a common animal was enough to send a ripple of distress through the woman. “Yeah, I’m back.” She nodded.

“That’s good, because you’re up yet again.”

Tammy whined, looking back at the wheels. She trotted over to them, backing onto her hind legs to spin each of them. The challenge was ‘Limbo’, and the transformation was ‘Size’. Looks like this would be an all-or-nothing type game… Which meant that challenging the Lousiana-born Gabrielle was out of the question.

“Stephanie.” Tammy sighed, her tail wagging as the girl joined her on stage.

“Well, crap.” Stephanie muttered, brushing a hand through her hair. “I’m terrible at Limbo. Then again… I am up against a person-sized dog.” She grinned from ear to ear.

Alan looked to the woman with a faint smile. “You do know that the rules of limbo are that your hands can’t touch the floor, right? Nothing about your back?”

Stephanie swallowed as Tammy tapped an impossibly low rung, wriggling her canine body under it with ease. The dog rolled to her paws, barking enthusiastically at Stephanie the moment she made it past. Tammy could have just gloated in English, but there was something more… natural about rubbing her victory in in a more canine fashion.

“Fuck off.” Stephanie scowled, walking up to the bar and swatting it from the poles. She turned, storming back to her booth; crossing her arms with a huff.

“Looks like somebody doesn’t want to be family friendly! Which is funny because she’s going to be bite-sized!” Alan laughed as Stephanie was bathed in a green light. Her body started to shrink almost immediately… But her clothes didn’t, which left her in the awful state of being too small for her apparel. She yelped aloud, becoming ever so tiny: just a little gerbil-sized woman within a huge pile of clothes.

Even worse, her legs had gotten bunched up in panties that were just a large as she was; and she glared at the polka-dotted objects in question. Then, the girl made the long climb out of the hills that she used to wear; getting particularly hung up on her bra. Finally, she poked her head out to find that they’d lowered her seat to the ground so that she could properly get into her Changing Room. How convenient.

Alan greeted her with an excited “Stephanie, looks like you’re up next!”

She groaned, making the long run to the wheels. She was practically gasping for air by the end of it; leaping up to grab one of the bottom rungs of the wheels. It didn’t even budge.

“God. Damn. It.” She dropped, glaring at the wheels in exasperation.

“Need a hand?” Alan smiled coldly.

Stephanie just nodded meekly. “It’d be nice…”

She sighed, sitting down to catch her breath as Alan spun the ‘Challenge Wheel’ once more. It ticked slowly, settling on ‘Race’. Stephanie’s jaw fell slack as she looked at it accusingly. She felt like she was about to cry--she was so close to winning, and now this? But she had to have hope; she might end up walking out of this on two feet…

The ‘Loser’s Wheel’ settled on ‘Mind’, and Stephanie hung her head. “I pick… Anyone.” She muttered dejectedly. “How about birdbrain?” She sighed, running a hand through her hair. At least this way if Gabrielle lost, she’d lose her mind…

“You know… The sporting thing to do would be to give you a head start.” Gabrielle laughed, filling Stephanie’s heart with hope. “But that’s hardly the smart thing to do.”

“Okay, this event is pretty straightforward!” Alan waved at the stage, where the attendants had set up a few cones in a circle. One of them jogged up, setting a blue cone just behind the women. “First one to the blue cone wins!”

Stephanie’s eyes widened just a fraction; he couldn’t mean… But she couldn’t let Gabrielle know. Instead, she took a runner’s stance, a miniscule mockery of Gabrielle’s flexed pose.

“You can’t be serious.” Gabrielle scoffed. “I saw you run along the stage earlier.”

“That was for show. I won the hundred-meter dash in all of my high school sporting events; and placed second at my university.” Stephanie lied through her teeth, bracing herself further.

Gabrielle swallowed a little nervously, tensing.

“Three. Two. One! Go!” Alan cheered. Gabrielle and Stephanie set off at a dead sprint. Only Stephanie ran backwards to the cone that was just a foot from her. She hugged it with both hands, grinning as Gabrielle completed the lap to find Stephanie at the cone with a smug grin on her face.

“Good going, birdbrain.” Stephanie practically cried with relief. She might be down, but like hell she was out! With Gabrielle as dumb as a bird and Tammy in a dog’s body, that might be just enough to get a lead going…

“N-no! I won’t accept this! You can’t make me!” Gabrielle stomped her foot on the ground.

Alan rolled his eyes. “Actually, we can.” He snapped his fingers, and the same mechanical arm from before lowered, its gun pointed straight at Gabrielle. She whimpered, then stiffened as a ray of energy hit her head.

“I don’t… Want… Peep! Peep peep!” Gabrielle felt her mind fogging over, going completely blank. Her jaw went slack for a moment as all human enlightenment forever left her mind. Memories, education, even general higher processing… All of it fled her thoughts; only to be reprogrammed with the brain of a common finch. Gabrielle flapped her arms, hopping around and whistling loudly.

The wheel spun again, and Stephanie turned to see Tammy’s name. Perfect; she’d waste some time knocking out Gabrielle, and give Stephanie enough time to come up with a plan…

“Stephanie.” Tammy padded out onto the floor, hissing with laughter. “Or was that not a part of your little plan?” She wagged her tail madly, huffing quietly with laughter.

Gabrielle tweeted again as Stephanie simply stared in slack-jawed astonishment.

“Don’t you want to see the challenge first?” Alan asked, arching an eyebrow good-naturedly.

“Nope. Also… I don’t think I can spin the wheel. Would you mind?” Tammy wagged her tail again with amusement as she looked down at Stephanie.

“Not at all.” Alan spun both wheels slowly, watching them land on ‘Pong’ and ‘Crowd’s Choice’.

“Funny. Isn’t this the one that let you change me before?” Tammy huffed quietly at Stephanie as the girl stared impotently at the bucket of balls before her. One of the attendants was kind enough to gingerly life the gerbil-sized girl and place her atop the table, but she still couldn’t so much as bounce a ball at her size.

So instead, she decided to have some last fun. The tiny girl leapt up to the edge of her bowl, tugging it so the balls spilled onto the ground. “Get the balls girl! Get them!”

Tammy gasped, her mind temporarily going blank from sensory overload. Then she started yapping like the oversized beagle she was, panting madly as she tried snapping at the few dozen bouncing balls.

The time slowly ticked down, and Stephanie giggled as some attendants had to restrain the dog, keeping her at bay until her human mind reasserted itself.

Tammy flared up at Stephanie. “Bitch.”

“Coming from the bitch.” Stephanie shot back.

“Well, then!” Alan laughed. “It seems that both of our lovely ladies have failed to complete the task. Normally, we’d call on the audience for a tiebreaker; but since it’s a Loser’s Wheel spin; we just apply the changes to both of our good Losers!”

The crowd broke out into wild applause as little holographic tablets appeared in front of each of them.

“For each contestant, you will lock in a vote for what happens to them: anything from the Loser’s Wheel!” Classical music blared from the speakers for the next few minutes; the crowd needing to settle on their decisions. Finally, with a chime the voting period ended. Alan looked at his tablet, grinning.

“Tammy, ever the cute beagle, simply gets off with a ‘Full Change’! Sorry, honey; but at least you keep your brain, if not your voice!” Tammy nodded, padding to her booth. “But unfortunately for Stephanie… It seems that the crowd’s a little peeved with your attitude. They all voted for ‘Prey’!”

Stephanie’s face fell. “W-what?” She looked around in terror as the stage around her lowered into something reminiscent of a coliseum. She whimpered a little as the ‘TF-Ray’ fired at her, bloating her feminine figure and shrinking her arms and legs. Her face stretched out into a rodent’s twitching muzzle, and short, soft fur covered her entire body. Her eyes slid to the sides of her head, and she looked fearfully at Alan with her new prey-vision.

“Five minutes of survival!” Alan boomed. “The fully transformed contestant against four audience members--one from each section--changed into any predator they desire!” He waved, four spotlights landing on audience members.

“Tiger!”

“Polar Bear!”

“Crocodile!”

“Walrus!”

Alan looked funnily at the last one, a college-aged woman. She shrugged. “I wanted to try something new; and they sound like they have it in hand.”

“Then come on down!”

One by one, they entered the ring; the manipulator arm changing them one at a time. Finally, Stephanie faced four predators--even if the last one was woefully out of its home environment. She looked fearfully up at the clock as it chiming loudly to announce her five minutes had begun. Then the world seemed to speed up.

To the gerbil’s credit; she actually made it for a solid minute and a half. Her tiny body was as quick as she’d expected; and she’d been able to dodge the snapping jaws of the tiger, polar bear, and crocodile alike. All the while, the walrus simply clapped with mirth, loudly barking on its teammates. Then, after the first minute had passed, they started using their human brains; working as a team. Stephanie managed to get around the crocodile snapping at the air; even the tiger’s jaws… But then the bear swatted her into the air, right towards the clapping walrus.

She flailed madly, her legs kicking in the air. Then the walrus snapped down on her; its oversized tusk piercing through her entirely.

Her death was mercifully quick, even if the ensuing events were a little embarrassing. The little gerbil was perfectly spitted on one of the walrus’s tusks, and the changed audience member was unable to actually eat her snack.

She pawed at the gerbil, trying to dislodge the little mammal to no avail. Luckily, the bear who’d helped her padded over, popping it into the girl’s mouth. She bit down with a loud ‘crunch’, then patted the polar bear on its head.

“Well, isn’t that sweet!” Alan laughed, applauding as the audience members returned to their male and female human forms. “Tell you what? You two can have your steak in a romantic, on-stage dinner; if you’ll have it as your predators’ forms!” His show host’s mind was churning in overdrive, and he sensed the chance for a perfect publicity stunt. Sure enough, the both of them nodded, replaced with a bear and a walrus a moment later.

The bear licked at the walrus’ face cheerily, sitting down next to her as she cuddled his body.

The audience cooed, and Tammy had to bark loudly to get their attention back. “Not to sound overeager, but-arf! Arf arf arf!” Green light bathed her mid-sentence, shrinking her down to a proper dog’s size and stripping her forever of human speech. She padded out, looking to Alan; then to her family.

“Go on! We’re almost done here anyways.” Alan waved her down to the audience with a laugh.

Tammy barked in response, padding down to happily lick her husband’s face.

“Now, as for Gabrielle...” Alan turned to find the girl popping up and down, trying to tweet. “You’re our grand prize winner! Come on down and pick your prize!”

She didn’t respond, and Alan sighed, massaging his temples. “Sorry folks; this really doesn’t happen often… Gabby! Here birdy! Pretty bird, pretty bird!” Her head swiveled in his direction, and she hopped towards him eagerly.

“Right hand? You become a person and get your winnings. Left hand? You stay a birdie and the winnings go to your family.”

Gabrielle hopped over to him, tapping her nose against his left hand.

He laughed out loud. “Well, you heard her, folks!” The host snapped his fingers, the manipulator arm zapping Gabrielle.

“W-what?” She blinked. “Did I win?” Her eyes widened and she started to clap.

“You won one of our two prizes…” Alan smiled at her smugly.

Gabrielle caught on quickly. “N-no! That wasn’t me that chose that! Please, I have two cats at home!” She looked up at the laser as it heated again, hitting her with another beam of transformative energy.

Again, her protests gave way to tweets. She shrank down to a miniscule size, her clothes billowing around her as she tweeted again and again. Her chest puffed up with feathers; her breasts sinking back into her tiny chest. Gabrielle’s feet were next, becoming a pair of tiny talons. She waved her arms, trying to climb out from her clothes. Getting thick and silky underwear had seemed like a good idea, but she hadn’t thought to change them before going on Wheel of Change… She kept struggling, her hands fusing into little lumps at the ends of her arms, until she had nothing more than a pair of nubs that were steadily getting more and more feathery.

Her nose and lips fused into a hard beak, and her head and torso got feathery. Gabrielle could feel her bones lightening, and she took to the air again, flitting out from her clothes to glare at Alan.

“Hey, don’t look at me like that! I’m sure your family is going to give you the best possible bird cage--your cats probably won’t be able to get in!” The audience laughed as Alan turned to one of the additional stage cameras. “And I’m sure that you all will tune in next week, for another brand-new episode of?”

“Wheel! Of! Change!”
