“So… Still not a fan of Transfun?” Liz bounced a little on her heels as she looked over Beth’s shoulder. All Liz wanted was for her uptight roommate to loosen up for a change, and she felt that the best way to do that was from a little… change. Besides, their little house by the woods was technically Liz’s, so she figured Beth owed her a thing or two.
Of course, Beth had no desire to be transformed, even if the blog she’d just read had led her to believe TransFun serums weren’t all bad. Hell, the girl had become a monkey and she still somehow found that to be enjoyable, so how bad could it be? At least, that’s what Liz no doubt wanted her to think. Beth rolled her eyes, drumming her fingers on her desk as she took another sip of her coffee.
“That’s got to be a yes, right?” Liz grinned, combing her fingers through her blue-dyed hair. “This is my favorite blog for things like this, the way Trina describes TF is just so… real!” Liz sighed dreamily; then blinked in surprise as she noticed Beth had gone back to studying.
“Sure is.” Beth mumbled, nose-deep in her notes. She tried to ignore Liz huffing from just behind her, but Beth couldn’t help but send a sidelong glance at her mirror. She stifled a small laugh, Liz’s blue hair in stark contrast to her red face.
“Well… Fine!” Liz stuck out her tongue. “You still drank the serum, so you get to have some first-hand experience!” She grinned triumphantly, and Beth blinked in surprise. Liz pointed to Beth’s coffee mug, humming happily.
Beth took a deep breath, letting it out in a sigh. She then rolled her eyes as she picked up the mug, taking a longer drink from it. Seeing Liz’s confused expression, she arched an eyebrow. “I’ve already drank from it. What, you think that because I don’t want to transform I’ll stop drinking my hazelnut coffee?”
Liz grinned, hugging Beth tightly. “I knew you’d warm up to the idea!” She exclaimed happily. That was great! She really did drink the serum, so they’d be changing together tonight; this was so exciting!
“Warmed up to the idea?” Beth arched an eyebrow, sipping from her coffee. “You poisoned me. That’s not exactly ‘warming up’.” Liz’s face fell, and Beth felt a pang of guilt. She hurriedly backtracked, trying to smile. “That said, you did buy this serum for me, and I know they’re expensive. Plus, I guess I do need a study break…”
Liz still looked absolutely crushed. “B-but you said I poisoned you…” She pouted, toeing at the ground. All she wanted to do was help, couldn’t Beth see that? Even if she was trying to make up for it now, Beth was always candid with Liz—sometimes too candid.
Beth set down her coffee, standing so she could hug her roommate. “Hey, it’s okay.” She said with a smile. “I misspoke. Remember, I’m a chemistry major? We’re bad with words, you know?” She laughed as Liz smiled happily, all trace of sadness forgotten.
“Really?” Liz sighed with relief. That’s right, Beth never really did stay mad at her for too long. Liz took a moment to calm her pounding heart, wiping at the sides of her eyes with a relieved smile. “Oh gods, I was really worried… You know, I took the serum too!”
Beth rolled her eyes. “Of course you would.” She looked back to her laptop, sighing. Then she started to undress. “What are we becoming?” She asked, pulling her top over her shoulders.
Liz’s eyes widened, and she started to stammer. “Wh-whoa! Beth, take it easy! This serum isn’t like Trina’s!” She waved her roommate down frantically. “This is a special Halloween serum that’ll only work in moonlight!”
Beth blinked. “So we’ll be werewolves?” She couldn’t keep the excitement from her voice—she had always been a huge fan of Twilight. Screw the haters, she was allowed one trashy series to love!
Liz laughed. “Kind of. We’ll be regular wolves, but that’s close enough to those dorky dogs in Twilight…” She trailed off as Beth glared. “I mean. Those… Masculine man-wolves?”
Beth sighed, patting her on the back. “We’ll discuss this later. For now, I’m going to get the rest of my work done so I don’t get ruined by classes later this week. The changes do only last a day or two, right?”
Liz nodded eagerly. “Yep! I know how big you are on keeping to your schedule, so I made sure to get one that’d only be for the night!”
Beth nodded, giving Liz a thumbs-up as she sat back down. “Great! Then I’ll see you at… eight.”
But despite her earlier confidence, Beth found herself getting more and more nervous as the hours passed. What if something went wrong? What would happen if her coffee had some interaction with the serum? Had this even been properly tested?
Eight o’ clock came, and Beth walked out to their little kitchen, her heart racing even as her body started to itch. Of course, Liz had set up a mirror for the two to watch their ongoing changes… Liz was already looking at it, grinning as she inspected her teeth. She turned to face Beth, smiling. “Hey, do you feel… buzzed? It must be pre-TF jitters, right?”
Beth smiled at her, doing her best to keep calm. Oh, she was feeling jitter, all right—just not in the same way.
Liz beamed. “Oh, hey! Your teeth are already coming in!” She itched her chest as she spoke, irritably tearing it off to reveal she had nothing underneath. “Also, I think my fur is, too…”
Beth ran past Liz as the blue-haired girl inspected her bare midriff, frantically dashing to the mirror to inspect her canines. Sure enough, they looked a little longer, maybe even sharper. But instead of the faint erotic surge she expected, Beth started to panic, her heart hammering so loud she was sure Liz could actually hear it. “Oh my God, this is really… It’s really…” She couldn’t vocalize anything more than that.
Her dream of being a werewolf was clashing with her fear of something going wrong—and the latter half was winning. Just like a first-time skydiver with an unknown fear of heights, Beth was panicking, her body locking up as she turned away from her reflection to look at Liz.
“H-hey. Your ears are getting pointed.” Beth half-hiccupped. It was true, the girl’s lobes looked like they were almost elven. Beth fancied that they twitched a little at the statement, but she wasn’t entirely sure if that was something she saw or something her addled mind had come up with.
“Um… You okay?” Liz blinked, shaking her friend gently. When Beth didn’t respond, Liz hugged her from behind, picking her friend up and walking her to their doorway. Luckily, Beth’s body was on autopilot so her legs responded instinctively.
“Wh-where are we going?” Beth mumbled as she set foot outside, the moonlight bright enough to see her path. She was starting to get things under control, the night air helping her get a better sense of self. “Are… Are we outside?” She shook her head, blinking.
Liz beamed, kicking off her sandals. Being a self-professed hippie, Liz always did prefer to go barefoot, and kicking off her sandals always improved her mood. The only reason she wore the things indoors was because Beth kept complaining about her dirty feet tracking in mud. She spun, her feet free to dance on the grass. “Yep! Now take off your clothes, we’re living in the moonlight now!” Liz added with a pleased chirp.
“My… Clothes?” Beth rubbed at her eyes, trying to make sense of things. Yet the more she rubbed, the more color seemed to drain from the world. Ironically, her dark eyes were gaining color: the rich golden gaze of a wolf. “I know this is your parents’ house, but... Privacy?” Despite her protests, she found herself scratching at her chest and legs.
Liz rolled her eyes as she slipped her shorts off. “Hey, you know how you’re feeling so hot and itchy? That’s got to be fur coming in. Remember, we’re becoming animals, we don’t need clothes!” She giggled, spinning a little in the moonlight and baring her sharpening canines to the night sky.
Beth gulped, slipping her shoes and socks off. She’d taken some time to look up other TransFun stories, and had heard plenty of horror stories about ‘shoe busting’. Plus, Trina had taken off her shoes in all of her stories… Beth sighed as she wiggled her bare toes in the moonlight. Her feet really felt better; she hadn’t noticed how confining her shoes were.
However, removing her shoes also caused Beth to notice a new discomfort—a scratching all over her body, like rolling across a bed of hay. “Did… Did taking your shirt off help with this damnable itching?” Beth grunted, still scratching at her body. When Liz didn’t respond, Beth turned to face her… And she received a canine tongue to the face as her reward.
“How cool is this?” Liz pointed at her long tongue, panting happily. “It’s just like my dog’s!” She crossed her eyes, working the long, flat appendage with a huge grin.
Beth stared, her jaw working as she tried to come up with an appropriate response. When she realized she couldn’t, she found herself looking numbly at her feet, an old habit from grade school. But instead of her usual toes, Beth was greeted by little swollen nubs, a claw tipping each of her canine digits.
“Oh!” She gasped, wiggling them. “Is this supposed to happen?” It was a dumb question; but it looked like an allergic reaction to her. She had to be safe, even though it didn’t feel too uncomfortable. Almost like she was standing on a cushion... Beth found herself smiling as Liz looked over her friend’s feet.
Liz nodded and laughed, the sound akin to canine yelping. “Of course it is, silly!” She chuckled, wiggling her own toes. “Oh, I can’t wait for my feet to start changing too… Growing velvety paw pads, getting those cute little toes, maybe my toes being covered by claws…”
Beth lifted her foot, finding its bottom was indeed almost exactly like a canine paw. She had a dark pad on the underside of her foot that was soft to the touch… Beth stared at her foot with a nervous smile, poking at her new soles. And as she continued to watch, it slowly cracked and clicked as her arch shrank back towards her ankle. “I can imagine.” She muttered at length, noticing her toes now had a god deal less wiggle to them, all four of them. Wait, four?
Beth’s eyebrows shot up, and she sent a nervous glance to Liz’s feet. She watched as her friend’s big toe pulled into her ankle, sliding up for form a canine dewclaw. Well, that was a small relief…
“See something you like?” Beth looked up to her friend’s face, starting at the sight of Liz’s new black nose. “Because I can!” Liz sang the last part, crossing her eyes to point at her nose.
Beth sniggered, then yelped as the motion set her off-balance. She fell onto her hands, huffing at the lack of coordination. The heat and itching running through her body seemed to like that, and Beth gasped as a thick, fluffy coat of gray fur burst from every pore on her body.
“Ooh, I want to try!” Beth looked up as Liz gracefully dropped to all fours, shaking out her body as a coat of white fur raced across her skin. She panted happily, shaking her head and laughing as her hair retreated into her scalp. “It tickles!”
Beth, meanwhile, was pawing at her head—the unusual sensation of her hair retracting setting her teeth on edge. “Really?” She grit her teeth as she brushed her right hand against her head again, finding her right ear was a good deal higher up than it should be.
“Oh my God, that’s adorable!” Liz yelped, padding on her hands and hind paws to get a closer look at Beth’s ears. Be it by intention or accident, Beth noticed that the motion made it easier to see the end of Liz’s feet, her paws expanding to god canine proportions, her claws growing in a little more amid fluffy white fur.
“Adorable?” Beth squeaked, her ears flattening against her head. Liz’s response was laughter, and Beth found herself joining in, her tongue lolling from her mouth as she gave voice to her mirth. By the time she finished, it was hanging well below her chin, and Beth whined, trying to slurp it back into her mouth.
“I wouldn’t try, if I were you.” Liz said, flicking her own tongue up to lick her nose. “The darn things never fit right without a muzzle.”
“You ‘on’t thay.” Beth rolled her eyes, then whimpered. “How arre you tho goothat thith?” She tried working her mouth, straining each word out around her longer tongue.
“Remember the talent show back in elementary school?” Liz rolled onto her back to stare at the moon, holding up a changing hand to watch it become a paw.
Bet’s furry brow furrowed, then she blinked. Liz had done a ventriloquist’s act back then, of course! “Yeah, thorry thor thorge’ing.” Beth managed, looking at her own hands cracking and reforming. This time, she took careful note of her thumbs’ ascent into her wrists, feeling them slide up her hand and arm. She shivered a little, but smiled nonetheless. Her earlier jitters were starting to shake off, and right now, she was positively wagging her tail at the prospect of becoming a wolf.
Just as the saying passed through her mind, Beth felt a little poking by her tailbone. She turned, yelping in joy as she caught sight of the growing nub from her backside, poking out just from above the elastic of her shorts. She looked up at Liz to find her friend had already grown half a tail, and was stealthily padding in small circles, chasing the growing appendage.
Beth marveled at the girl’s stealth, looking to her own arms and legs to find they’d already nearly finished reshaping. That was incredible; she’d barely even noticed! These TransFun serums were really something else! Beth tried darting back and forth on her new legs. It all felt so natural, so easy!
She grinned, the smile widening as her jaw cracked away from her face, her nose flattening out to complete her canine muzzle. She turned to Liz, barking excitedly—then growling as she realized she’d lost the ability to speak. Maybe these serums were too good… Beth really wanted to act out her loss of speech.
Liz chuckled a little. “Arrw, lorst yourrr va… Yurr…. Aw… Aw-ooo!” Her eyes widened as she howled at the moon, panting for breath as the sound tore itself from her throat. “That wrr… Awoo!” She howled again, closing her eyes as she gave respect to the moon as only a wolf can.
Beth joined in on the second howl, her own muzzle tilted skyward to better give sound to the woods. It was so natural to howl at the moon, to call out to her friend and any other wolves. Almost too natural… Beth shook her head as she pulled out of the howl. She wanted to change, but didn’t want to lose her mind… Hopefully that was just some of her new instincts.
Liz noticed her slight discomfort and padded up, pawing her friend on her nose. Beth jumped at the white wolf before her, huffing at Liz snuffled with laughter. Well, two could play at that game… Beth play-tackled her, nuzzling and softly nipping at her friend. She’d save the speech for next time she—
Her train of thought was completely de-railed as Liz nipped at Beth’s shirt, tugging it over her face. Beth whimpered, rolling around in small circles as she tried to free herself of her restrictive clothing. As she struggled with her shirt, Liz tugged off her shorts… And kept them.
Beth whined, managing to loose one of her paws from her t-shirt. But by the time she was completely free, Liz was already a few dozen feet away and racing further into the woods. Beth growled as she realized her shorts and panties were clenched firmly in Liz’s jaws, and she set off after her.
The pair of wolves played happily through the night, yips and barks filling the moonlit woods. Then, when the morning sun touched the girls’ bodies, they found their fur falling, forms reverting until they were a pair of giggling nude collegiate wrestling over a pair of remarkably intact gym shorts.
Liz was the first to realize their returned humanity, using her hands instead of her teeth to hold the clothing aloft triumphantly. “Ha!” She giggled as Beth instinctively snapped in the air with her teeth. Liz scrabbled away as Beth unsteadily rose to her feet, feet that were almost as dirty as Liz’s own.
Liz pointed with a giggle. “Guess you need sandals, too—oof!”
Beth tackled her, her returned fingers more than suited for tickling the blue-haired girl. Liz squealed, letting go of the shorts, and Beth snatched them up triumphantly. “Maybe. But I’m the one who’ll be heading back to your house in shorts.” She slipped them on, her face falling a little as she noticed there was a tear right along her right hip, revealing half of her ample bottom to any observers. “Kind of.” She added.
Liz rolled to her feet, grinning. “But I’m the one who knows the way back.” She pointed at Beth victoriously. “And I won’t go back unless you promise me we’ll do this again.”
“Done.” Beth smiled, chuckling as Liz’s finger drooped.
“I thought it’d be harder than that…” She muttered.
“And I thought TransFun wouldn’t be so… Fun!” Beth laughed, hugging her roommate tightly. “Thanks for the de-stresser, we might need to make this a weekly thing. But I’m choosing for next week.” Beth laughed as Liz nodded eagerly.
“Fair enough! So, I think the house should be… East!” Liz pointed the way and the two girls hiked back to their shared home, each of them coming up with new ideas for Beth’s newfound passion.
