“Um. Well, here goes.” Susan swirled the vial of liquid in her hands, her whole form tense with apprehension. She’d used TransFun before, but that had been to become a horse at one of her friend’s farms—nothing like what awaited her. Of course, she had to go shooting off her mouth about how she’d had TransFun experience. Who knew her other friends were so... adventurous?
Tina had become a koi, Natalie a snake, and Amelia had even become a crab for a week in her boyfriend’s aquarium. Susan had known about the last one, having joked about her giving him ‘crabs’—but the other two had come as a complete shock. Susan couldn’t imagine what it would be like to lose legs or arms, to become something other than a mammal.
Yet she had to say that she wasn’t afraid of assuming a form more ‘creative’ than that of an equine. She just had to go blabbing her fat mouth, saying that she was fine with becoming any disgusting thing the four girls could put their minds to. Of course, they’d risen to the challenge, offering suggestions like snakes, then bugs, namely worms... Finally, they settled on a maggot, remembering how Susan had screamed and ran from that dead squirrel on-campus.
Three days of waiting, and here they were, gathered around the girl with a vial, predatory grins on their faces. They’d chosen a campus greenhouse for Susan’s little ‘adventure’, its plastic lining private and its greenery calming enough to Susan to keep the girl from freaking out too much.
“You sure that you want to see this?” Susan offered with a weak grin. “I don’t want you guys to freak out, this is going to be pretty gross...”
Natalie chuckled evilly. “Trust me, we’ve braced ourselves for tonight’s... entertainment.”
“Better than anything on TV tonight.” Tina agreed, her curly brown hair bobbing as she spoke.
Amelia frowned. “Hey, Glee is on tonight!”
“So nothing good?” Natalie and Tina chorused in unison, well-versed to this banter.
Susan watched her friends with a small smile, even as she considered finding some new way to back down. No, she made her bed, she might as well be put to sleep in it. Without waiting to see her friends’ reactions, she hurriedly uncorked the vial and downed it in a single gulp.
She gagged at the taste of it—though it ran down her throat like water, it left the thick, cloying aftertaste of rotten fruit—an ugly flavor that left her eyes burning.
Susan considered trying to complain, for all the good that would do her. Natalie would probably appreciate that, some last complaint before she lost the ability to speak. But as she tried to open her mouth, she found her lips sealing closed, even as her canines turned black and grew out to asinine proportions.
She managed a low gurgling, relishing the looks of horror on her friends’ faces. Then her nose sank back into her face, and she had fears of her own to deal with. Okay, this was happening—this was definitely happening. She couldn’t think straight, couldn’t focus, although her rapidly diminishing senses were leaving her with nothing but her thoughts.
Her ears sank back into a skull that was dissolving, along with the rest of her bones, and as Susan tried to look down to her fingers, she found her neck oddly disobedient. It tilted upwards, making her last view one of the ceiling and the rapidly growing tent that was her clothing. Then her eyes sank back into her head, leaving her a smooth, slimy dome.
She was completely, and utterly blind, the lack of sensation leaving her with an inky blackness. Though... Black wasn’t the right word for it, was it? What she saw wasn’t black, but nothingness, an empty void that left her derelict in the dark expanse that was her world.
But just because Susan couldn’t see didn’t mean she couldn’t feel. Her arms and legs slid into her body, leaving her to thud to the floor, a giant worm in girl’s clothing. More than that—she was still shrinking. Her clothes billowed around her, and she started to move—to squirm.
Squirming—was that all she was reduced to? How in the seven layers of hell could she allow herself to be turned into a maggot? No sight, no hearing, no smell, barely any touch... Susan never thought she’d have to miss her arms and legs, but apparently that was happening today.
The changes ebbed to a stop, and Susan was left in the dark, surrounded by her clothing and with nothing to keep her company save her emotions. No, it was worse than darkness alone. She was deaf, too. Susan didn’t know how she missed losing that sense—she’d felt her ears sink back into her bulbous head, hadn’t she?
But miss it she had, and now the world was... empty. There was nothing to see, nothing to hear, nothing to smell... Susan didn’t know if she could taste, and she almost wasn’t willing to find out. Losing her sense of smell? That was fine enough, but her hearing? That was another matter entirely. She’d lost her hearing once before, at a concert, but that was nothing like this.
That had been a dull ringing In lieu of where sound should exist. This, though—this was a complete emptiness. Susan wriggled a little, surprised by how futile the motion felt. She didn’t know why, but she’d expected to hear the motion—it was like dropping a coin down a well and hearing nothing, no splashing, no dull thump, just... nothing. Her body was a prison, like being bound, gagged, blinded, deafened—she wanted to cry, wanted to scream, to shout... But her new body wouldn’t even allow her that degree of freedom, that brief liberation from being a maggot.
A maggot.
She’d really done it.
She had become a tiny maggot, nothing more than a disgusting worm! Worse, she’d stay this way for the next 24 hours, confined to this limited form, trapped inside of a disgusting white grub. How could she have agreed to this, to this madness?
But... She had agreed, and now she had to live with her new form. And if she wanted to live, she’d need to escape her clothing, to reach her friends.
Moving was probably her biggest hurdle—having no arms, no legs, she had to rely on the new muscles that her torso had developed. All she was capable of was a slow, inching motion, sliding her rear up to her front, and pushing her maggot’s body forward.
This was made all the harder by the now-voluminous folds of her clothing, mountains of cotton proving a slight impasse, obstacles for her to overcome. Inch by inch she made her way out from one of her sleeves, until she’d made it onto the pavement, hopefully under the gaze of her friends. Susan didn’t want to get lost and wake up naked at school...
But would that really be worse? After all, she was nothing right now: a bug, a grub, a worm! How could she accept being seen like this? How could her friends look at her, look at this worm that was once human? Worse yet, she couldn’t see their reactions. But maybe that was for the best. She couldn’t hear their laughter or their gasps of horror. Instead, all she perceived was the darkness.
A moment later, she rapidly revised her stance. Feeling the rough pavement on her body, being unable to see her friends, their responses—that was too much to bear. She curled up into a ball, the full magnitude of her helplessness truly setting in. She’d have wallowed in self-pity for the next few hours, too—were it not for the smell.
Susan didn’t know how, but she picked up the scent of food from somewhere—She lacked the olfactory senses to pick it up, but she could almost taste it in the air with her new mouth, pointing her towards whatever it was... She continued to wriggle towards whatever the food was, when a pair of... things grabbed her around the sides of her body.
Susan started to freak out, squirming wildly for a moment until she realized it had to be someone’s fingers. They were too soft to be tweezers, and since she was still alive it clearly wasn’t something eating her. The pressure abated almost instantly as she was placed on something flat—softer than the concrete, but textured slightly, faint ridges and creases... Could it be she was on one of her friend’s hands? If so, she’d need to give them a show...
Natalie smiled at the writhing maggot that had been her Susan—though it was a smile born of relief, not pleasure. Thank God Susan didn’t think to challenge anyone else to become a maggot with her. Natalie couldn’t imagine what it would be like to be made into a maggot, a writhing worm, both blind and deaf to the world.
And it was squirming around on her hand now... Natalie fought hard to remind herself that she was holding Susan, and not just some grub. Then again, this meant that this was a grub with the mind of a person, which might just be worse.
“Did you just pick her up?” Amelia leaned in, looking at the little maggot. “You’ve got some serious balls, Nat.”
“I really hope Susan can’t hear us right now, because DAMN she is gross.” Tina said by way of agreement. “Like, seriously, seriously creepy.”
“Hey, she’s not...” Natalie felt whatever defenses she was coming up with ebbing away as she continued to look at the wriggling grub. “Well, it is a little hard to believe she was once human.” She leaned in a little closer, watching her pale grub of a friend squirm around on her palm. “I mean, it’s really hard to believe. She’s moving just like any other maggot would... And she looks just like one, too! Can this really be Susan?”
“Yeah, like... Is she even fully conscious in there?” Tina leaned in a little despite her reservations, her concern overriding her fear.
“Well, have you ever seen such an active little grub?” Amelia asked, looking at Tina. “It’s probably because she’s freaking out. Can you imagine what it’d be like to be trapped like that? I mean, everything we changed into had eyes, at least!”
Tina shuddered, Amelia’s words having their desired effect. “Yeah, you’re right. It’s just... Could she not wriggle like that?”
“You try talking to her, oh great maggot-whisperer.” Natalie held out Susan towards Tina’s face, and the girl hurriedly recoiled, her tan skin rapidly paling with fear.
“Nah, I’m good.” She held up her hands, laughing nervously. “So, are we going to put her in her new container or what? I’m really not okay with looking at her out in the open. Maggots... kind of really creep me out.” Tina said the last part in a hurry, doing her best to look anywhere but at Susan. Small wonder she was the one who recommended this change.
“She doesn’t bite.” Amelia grinned. “At least, not hard enough for you to notice.” Still, as she spoke, she dug out the small terrarium they scrounged up, duct tape covering its vents so that the smell of its contents couldn’t leak out.
Natalie didn’t know if maggots had a sense of smell, but she fervently prayed that Susan couldn’t sniff what would be her new home for the next twenty-four hours.
They had found the piece of old meat in the dumpster behind the school’s cafeteria. Luckily, while it was rotting it had yet to be infested with other maggots, making it a veritable palace for Susan the grub. At least, that was the intention. Now, though, they had second thoughts. Opening the box alone let loose a rancid odor that lingered in the back of their throats. Looking at it was another matter entirely, the meat blackened beyond its condition a few days ago, when they’d ordered Susan’s serum.
“Well.” Amelia muttered, her expression of disgust giving way to mirth as Tina turned away, dry-heaving from just a whiff of the rotting meat. “Just like Matt’s party.” She muttered, a nostalgic smile on her face as Tina let loose the contents of her stomach.
“Except this time she’s not puking on the meat that got her sick.” Natalie smiled, gingerly bending over to pick up Susan. She crinkled her nose at the feeling of the small maggot crawling on her hand, and she moved it quickly over the container. A hand clasped onto her wrist, and she looked up to see Amelia smiling.
“Hold on.” The blonde said with a smile so large it almost reached the edges of her shortly-cropped hair. She cupped her hands, and Natalie hesitantly placed Susan’s wriggling form in her open palms. Amelia then mouthed ‘camera’ to her friend, and Natalie hurriedly pulled out her phone, recording the blonde as she approached Tina.
“Hay gurrrl!” Amelia struck a pose, holding Susan up close to Tina’s face. The smaller girl continued to retch, now with doubled force. Just a glance at their maggoty friend—that was all it took.
Of course, Natalie didn’t waste this opportunity, hurriedly snapping photo after photo of the two girls and the wriggling larva. At some point Tina’s body had decided unconsciousness was a comfortable recourse to emptying itself, and the girls had fun taking close-ups of Susan on her forehead, on her cheek, by her ear... The last of those was the source of the most worry for the girls, as Susan’s constant motion almost took her deep into Tina’s body.
“We should be more careful.” Natalie said, watching Amelia scoop up Susan’s wriggling form once more.
“Yeah.” Amelia agreed, placing her on Tina’s throat. “We should keep it to places without holes only, that’ll... probably...” She trailed off staring at Tina, and Natalie followed her wide-eyes gaze.
Susan was making a bee-line for the unconscious girl’s breasts, and before Natalie could grab her, she slipped into the girl’s plentiful cleavage. At least Susan wouldn’t have been the first TransFun user to enter Tina’s luscious melons.
Still, that did pose questions. “How do we get her out?” Natalie asked, remembering her company just in time. Then she hurriedly swatted Amelia’s hands away, glaring at her friend. “Hey! We promised Tina about this after that last party!”
Amelia rubbed her sore limbs, mock-pouting. “Yeah, but we also promised her we wouldn’t play with her when she was knocked out. What’s the difference?”
“The difference is that I find it fun to—” Natalie snapped her mouth shut as Tina stirred.
“Ungh... Why does my mouth taste like vomit?” The girl raised a hand to her head, leaning up on the grass. She paused, her gaze flying to her chest.
“Don’t freak out.” “Freak out.” Natalie and Amelia spoke at the same time, each affixing the other with a playfully competitive glare.
Tina nodded slowly. “I feel... I feel something.” She paused, taking several deep gasps for air. “Crawling? Is that the right word? Yeah. Something’s in my cleavage. Susan?”
“Susan.” Natalie nodded.
“The maggot.” Amelia added unnecessarily.
Tina nodded again at the last bit. “Oh. Cool. Well.” Her eyes fluttered to the back of her head, and Tina fled the waking world once more.
Amelia caught her as she fell, the motion shaking Susan back into the open. Natalie snatched her up, cradling the maggot in her hands. “Gotcha!” She said victoriously. She looked up to find Amelia’s hands halfway to Tina’s breasts.
Amelia froze, laughing good-naturedly. “Hey hey, only a joke.” She chuckled.
Natalie glared at her nonetheless, holding out Susan for her to take. “Yeah, you just hold onto our little maggot here, I’ll get Tina more comfy.” Amelia pouted, and Natalie sighed, posing the girl so she appeared to be groping herself. “Happy now?” She arched an eyebrow.
“Unconscious people really are nature’s Barbies.” Amelia said, grinning impishly as she delicately lowered Susan near the rotting meat. She and Natalie had gotten used to the stink by now, or maybe it was just that compared to the acrid reek of Tina’s stomach contents, this was a walk in the park. Whatever the case, it was much less of a chore to actually put Susan in their little plastic terrarium.
In fact, it seemed that Susan could sense the food in front of her, because she hurriedly squirmed her way to the meat, the worm she had become burying its front in the rotting beef. Could she... Was she even cognizant of her actions? Could she know that she was greedily devouring old meat? The thought that she couldn’t was as nauseating as it was discomforting.
“Okay, now I think I’m going to be sick.” Natalie muttered under her breath, watching Susan dig in. Dig in! “I... I can’t believe she’s acting like a real maggot, eating on this, this... garbage!” Natalie couldn’t help but say it, looking at Amelia with wide eyes.
“Eh. She probably can’t see, yeah? For all we know, this could taste like filet mignon to her.” Amelia replied.
“How could it, though?” Natalie gasped.
“Well, back when you were a snake, didn’t you eat a mouse? I don’t see you eating raw rats now, yeah?” Amelia sighed, patting her legs as she looked down at Tina. She toed the unconscious girl idly, looking back up at Natalie with a mischievous grin. “Anyways... I’ll get Ol’ Faithful back to her room, you keep Maggoty-Sue company, okay?” She grinned as she spoke, already hefting up Tina’s dozing form.
“Promise you won’t mess with Tina too much?” Natalie smiled, already knowing Amelia’s answer. She hefted Susan’s box, hoping she was having a better time of it than Tina was.
Movement! Susan’s world shook as everything was moving again, just like when her friends were putting her all over their bodies. It had felt like they were placing her in smooth places, maybe their faces or breasts? She had no idea the girls were so kinky, and she’d definitely have to ask them about it later. After she continued to eat whatever they left her with.
Susan had no doubt she’d regret finding out what it was later, but she continued to munch at it hungrily, feeling herself get more and more bloated with the protein she took in. At least, she assumed it was protein—she had some sort of feeling that it was, or had been meat at some point. She stuck her small fangs into the food, taking another deep bite of it.
Eating was probably the oddest thing—she’d discovered that her body actually did have a mouth, the fangs there simply to hook onto a substance and dissolve it further while she slurped it up. And since she had no taste buds, it was like drinking a bland smoothie.
And though it was bland, it made her full, and that was an almost mind-numbingly pleasurable sensation. Susan loved the feeling of her body expanding, of her chubby form needing to exert itself more to inch across the container. She imagined it was much like having a pot-belly, but... everywhere. Susan rolled around a bit, happy at how the food she was in squished against her body, and at how she could feel the food she was digesting swirl.
Normally, a maggot would eat to become a fly, gestating in something like a week or two. Since Susan wouldn’t be sticking around for that long, this was just for herself—though her new body was still filled with the pleasure at the sensation of ingestion. Odd that it was the only thing that gave her pleasure now, but Susan wasn’t complaining. For once, she was free to eat as much as she wanted and just get fat.
Though it was natural that eating was the only pleasure she could have as a maggot. Being blind and deaf left her very little in the means of entertainment, and having a distinct lack of arms and legs only added to that. Truth be told, she’d expected to be entirely bored, eating only to amuse herself—she’d never thought that it could be so pleasurable!
As an added bonus, eating took her mind off of what a horrible little monster she was, no arms, no legs, not even warm-blooded... The list could go on and on, but as long as she could eat, she’d be just fine. Yep. Wasn’t sadness-eating because she was a horrid tiny worm, this was all entirely pleasurable! She went back to digging into the food with renewed fervor, telling herself she was happy to keep digging in, to keep eating.
How much had she eaten, come to think of it? She’d been at it for a while, she had to have made a a dent in food.
“Oh my God, that’s sick.” Amelia leaned closer to the cage. “Is she supposed to be so... fat?” She squinted, tilting her head at the terrarium. Inside an exceptionally large maggot contentedly chowed down on the rotting meat, tiny mouthfuls adding to its form. While Natalie hated calling one of her friends fat, that was definitely the case with Susan. She had nearly tripled in size, the small creases in her white skin even more visible than they were before.
As far as Natalie knew, a normal maggot would begin to gestate, already on its way to becoming a fly, but Susan’s order form Transfun ensured that she’d just keep... growing. She was like a large, living zit, and Natalie was worried about touching her, or even looking at her for too much longer... She hurriedly decided to change the subject.
“I’d be more concerned as to the stink.” Natalie pinched her nose. They had to open a few slats so that Susan could breathe, which had the lovely effect of sharing the rotting meat’s scent with the rest of the room. On the bright side, the numerous scented candles they’d lit had at least kept the smell from spreading.
As they spoke, the Susan-maggot finished off another spot of particularly moldy fat, and it hurriedly busied itself with another chunk of black-specked flesh. The two girls sat transfixed, watching the little worm that had been one of their friends just hours before shoving its pale, limbless body over the meat: wriggling, squirming, eating through it all... If only she could see herself! Actually, Natalie could make that happen. She snapped a few pictures with her camera, hoping Susan’s scale would come through in them.
“Hey, wanna put her in Tina’s belly button, I think she’d be a good fit. Ooh, or her toothbrush!” Amelia said with a sadistic smile, breaking the momentary silence.
“How the hell did you end up being a fan of Glee?” Natalie asked, her mouth slightly ajar.
“‘Know thine enemy’.” Amelia quipped with a grin. “Besides, the gay one’s cute.”
“Which gay one?” Natalie grinned, and Amelia slugged her in the arm. Natalie knew it was coming, so she rode the light blow with ease, snickering.
“Shut up. So how much longer is Susan gonna keep eating?” Amelia frowned, tapping on the plastic. Susan didn’t respond, the girl-turned maggot continuing its writhing and eating, unfazed by Amelia’s interruption. Whether it was intentional or not, Susan had made it clear to them that she was either blind and deaf; or too focused on gorging herself to care about any outside influences. Or both.
“Either until she changes back or runs out of food, I guess.” Natalie said with a shrug.
They looked back at the cage, finding that though she’d made a dent in the rotting meat, it was a miniscule amount. “So... Twenty hours?”
“Twenty hours.” Natalie agreed, bending over to watch the little grub continue to work its way through the meat.
After an eternity of eating and resting, Susan felt fingers wrapping around her rotund form and plopping her on the ground. Well, it was probably time to change back... Eventually. As for now, what was she supposed to do? Wriggle around for their amusement? No, she’d much rather be digging in. But where was her terrarium?
Susan leaned back, trying to taste the air. She managed to pick up a trace of it and raised herself, picking up the scent. She crawled over the floor and carpet, hunting for whatever food they’d left her with earlier. All she met was the rough texture of synthetic fibers—though every now and then a guiding hand would pick her up and place her somewhere else.
After what felt like hours of this game, Susan felt a tremor run along her body. She shuddered, the changes undoing themselves in an instant, and the girl opened her eyes to greet wonderfully peachy skin.
Sight! Everything was almost blindingly vivid, a shock of colors greeting Susan’s startled eyes. She gasped, then gasped again at the sound of her own voice. Had her voice always sounded so musical? She just had to try out a few words, to see if they were as she remembered. “Banana. Boathouse. Holy shit, I’m back!” She giggled, grateful for the ability to speak once more.
Susan held her hands in front of her face, wiggling her fingers, and her toes for good measure. “Oh my God, it’s good to have these back again.” She said breathlessly, running her hands all along her body, hugging her human—human!—form tightly with relief. Her fingers trailed between her legs, and she smiled impishly. “And it’s good to have you back, too.” Susan purred lustily. Her face reddened as she remembered her company, and she looked up to find her Natalie and Amelia staring at her—though they were looking at her with concern, not the amusement she’d expected.
“What? Is something wrong?” Susan arched an eyebrow.
“Um.” Natalie frowned.
“You’re chubby and have huge tits?” Amelia offered, and Natalie rolled her eyes.
“You have a gift, Amelia.” She sighed.
Susan looked down, gasping as she saw she was indeed a little heavier. Not fat, but... pleasingly plump. And that came with a lovely pair of what were C-cups at least! She hefted them with a small smile. “I guess I maybe ate too much?” Susan giggled, looking up at her friends.
“I’ll say. Tina got really grossed out, too—you should see the pictures.” Amelia smirked.
“Pictures? Dibs on spares.” Susan beamed, rolling to her feet. “I hope my clothes still fit...” As she stood, the weight just vanished from her body, leaving her back to normal. “Oh...”
For a moment, the three girls stood in silence, Natalie biting her lower lip and Amelia outright sniggering at Susan’s distraught look. Then, the girl’s stomach rumbled loudly, and the trio burst into laughter.
“What say we get some Checkers? Get you back to plump in no time.” Natalie gave her best friend a small smile.
Susan returned it, her eyes twinkling mischievously. “Sounds like a date. And who knows, if you treat me, I might not put some of my TransFun revenge into play.”
“Revenge? All we did was change you into a maggot!” Amelia protested loudly.
“Yeah, and do you know how crazy that was? No arms, no legs, none of your senses except touch!” Susan frowned.
“Seriously? You ate so much we figured you had to have taste, at least.” Amelia’s brow furrowed as she spoke.
“Well, that was the oddest part about it. Eating had no flavor, but being full was... Well, nice. I guess it’s like how sex feels good so we can continue our species.” Susan tapped her lower lip.
“Hold on... You’re saying eating was just like orgasming?” Natalie gasped.
“I didn’t say that... But I’m not going to say it was entirely dissimilar.” Susan admitted.
“Then why seek revenge?” Amelia gasped.
“Because even though it didn’t feel entirely bad, it was still disgusting whenever I thought about what I was! I was nothing more than a maggot, a disgusting little worm! I could only move by crawling on my stomach through whatever filth you left me in! Half of my eating was comfort-eating!” Susan’s rant worked up an appetite, as her stomach rumbled again. Her face turned a cherry-red, and her tirade crumbled there.
“So, we buy you food and we’re even, yeah?” Amelia smirked impishly, realizing the cards were back in her hands.
“No.” Susan pouted. Her stomach made itself known again, louder still. “Maybe.”
“I knew you’d worm up to the idea.” Natalie chuckled, frowning as both Amelia and Susan glared at her. “What? I’ve been waiting to say that for... Oh, forget it. Checkers?”
