Chris sauntered into his bedroom, a still smirk on his face as he tossed his empty egg cartons onto the ground. Another Mischief Night success; the Raymond house was thoroughly dripping with runny egg. That ought to earn him a few points in the standings. And if not, well, there was still a few days left to pull of something even bigger.

He kicked a few stray pieces of laundry on the way to his computer; it felt like a good night to play some Arena to unwind, until he stopped as the cool night air came through the window and caressed his legs.

“Bwa?” He asked, looking down and not understanding what he was seeing. Instead of his jeans, he wore soft, smooth yellow tights. More distressingly, he looked really, really good in them.

“Bwa bwa?” Why was he saying that? Chris put his hand to his chest, just as they grew right beneath his fingers. A swelling pressure that built into something tender and pert.

“Bwa bwa bwa?”

While Chris looked at his body that slimmed down under a tight nylon leotard, a laughing voice came from his window. “Fitting, don’t you think?”

“BwaAAk!” Chris shouted, jumping and flapping his wings. Through the window, he saw a young woman wearing a witchy costume just…floating there with a brilliant grin.

“Unfortunately, I wasn’t there to stop you from…” she paused, her eyes flicking down to the floor of Chris’ room, covered in old clothes, used and unused egg cartons, and a few cardboard boxes. “My God, do you live in a barn? Clean your room.”

“What did you—bwak—do to me?!” Chris’ voice came out high and feminine, and he knew at that point that he was fully a she.

“What? It’s just a little mischief. Surely you of all people understand that.”

“But I haven’t done any—bwak!—thing!”

The witch rolled her eyes. “Then you shouldn’t fret and worry. The spell is keyed to the number of eggs you’ve thrown. If you haven’t done anything, then you’ll be right back to normal by morning, and this will all have been an interesting dream.” She glanced at the pile of egg cartons. “Though, I somehow doubt that.” Just then, she perked up, like she heard something only her ears could detect. “I have to go. Another of your friends needs to learn a lesson.”

And the witch sped off, fading into the autumn night, leaving Chris confused, frazzled, and…having a strong urge to build a nest.
