I've been looking for an excuse to upload this picture. It's another character from "Alessia" as designed through azaleasdolls.com/heroine.html
This character is a Djinn, and one of the two Djinn that binds Alessia to her lamp and turns her into a Genie. She is the first one to meet with Alessia inside her lamp, and the one who takes her anger away. Chione is one of the oldest of the Djinn, and she has many plans, and not just for Alessia. More on that in later installments.
I think I'll take the opportunity here to get into some world building. Djinn and Genies are different, though very similar. The Djinn are beings born of magic. They are spirits through and through, and they were the first ones bound to lamps, bottles, other vessels. Over many centuries and millenia, they ascended and left the mortal world behind. Unfortunately, most of their magic and power could not come with them, and remained inside the lamps they once occupied.
This is where Genies come in. Genies, all of them, were once human. They are men and women who found the vessels the Djinn left behind, and like the Djinn before them, become bound to these vessels. In time, they may ascend as the Djinn did, but can never become human again.
