It's been a long, tiring year, and as it comes to a close, I wander into a brightly-lit toy store. There's no particular reason, no presents to buy, or toys I want. Browsing is just fun. As I walk through the store, I think about how all the little dolls have no worries consuming their minds or speeding up their heart. That must be nice, and I wish it was true for me, too.

I come to a bargain bin of odd toys, mostly small and cheap; perhaps parts of returns, or just little treasures for fun. At the very top of the bin is a plastic lamp style like the one in Aladdin. But it's cheaply made; I can still see mold lines across it, and the lid doesn't really open. Picking it up, it fits nicely in my palm, and I chuckle.

"Man, I wish this lamp had a Genie."

It was, perhaps, the wrong thing to say. The wrong year; the wrong lamp; the wrong store. A burst of blue smoke poured from the lamp's spout, filling the air around me like an ominous thundercloud. I shouted and jumped back, dropping the lamp back into the bin.

But the smoke filled my vision and surrounding me, and it spoke to me.

"You wish for a Genie. You shall be she."

"She?" I barely say, before the smoke pours into my body, taking me for itself, changing me, and clothing me how it, not I, desired.

When I see myself again, I gasp. I'm blue! And a woman, clad in a red bra and poofy pantaloons. And there's something else about me I can't understand before...

"Return to me!" The lamp, it's powerful voice overtakes my mind, and I stare toward it mesmerized. Exactly all of me obeyed and I drew toward it being squeezed and sucked inside until there was no sign of me. Just the toy lamp in the bin of a toy store, awaiting someone who could release me...

Will it be you?

This idea has been stuck in my head for a while now, and this is as good a time as any, I suppose.

As a Brand New Genie, it may be necessary to make me better adjust to my new life. But keep in mind, your wishes WILL be twisted in a...specific way.
