Warren Locke was a member of the world-famous elite superhero group, The Brigadiers, using the superhero alias, Warlocke. The team usually consists of twelve members, but as of late, two of them were missing in action.

“Warren, Valgoth may have info on the whereabouts of Cliff and Kazaroth.” Halo said, with urgency.

Warren followed her down the hall to the intelligence headquarters where the rest of the team was located.

“Valgoth, what have you heard?” Warren asked.

“It was Void, Mr. Mayhem’s dreaded henchman. He appeared and informed me that our teammates are being kept captive by the Mayhem Crew. He gave me the coordinates.” Valgoth explained.

“The coordinates correspond to an abandoned warehouse in southern Illinois.” Gadget added.

“It could be a trap.” Facade added.

“It’s gotta be a trap.” Diana confirmed. “But what choice do we have? They have Glyph and Kazaroth.”

“We have to think about this carefully, Diana.” Wolfbane stated. “Rage cannot cloud our judgement.”

“And we will not let it.” Bloodshed interjected. “We will use our rage to make them regret their choices.”

“Gadget, how quickly can we be in Illinois?” Warren asked.

“The jet can have us there in six hours.” Gadget replied.

Six hours later, the team touched down half a mile from the warehouse. Warren led a team consisting of Photon, Bounty, Halo, and Wolfbane to the main entrance, while Valgoth lead Bloodshed, Facade, and Diamond Dust (Diana) around to the back of the warehouse. Gadget held down the jet and readied for evacuation.

Warren held up his hand to the front door, said an incantation, and revealed the inside of the warehouse to his group, causing the wall to become invisible.

“Wolfbane, what do you see?” Warren asked.

“Nothing.” He replied. “But I smell the big one.”

“Berserk. Keep your eyes peeled everyone.” Warren said, opening the door.

The team pushed through the main room, checking behind storage crates for the dreaded henchmen, Berserk.

Wolfbane waved the team to one of the side doors. “He’s behind here.” He whispered. “Bounty, ready your crossbows.”

Bounty loaded a bolt into his two mystic crossbows and held them up as Wolfbane kicked down the door. Bounty fired at the lackey he expected to be the hulking beast, Berserk, but both arrows flew over the target’s head. His jaw went agape as he noticed that Berserk was not in fact the towering figure he once was, but was now a small, slender… woman. She had red hair and her costume was reminiscent of his old leather coat, but now showed off her new ample cleavage. Without a moment of hesitation, she sprung towards bounty, slashing him across the chest.

Bounty fell back and clutched his chest as Photon bolted in and struck Berserk with a superhuman punch. Berserk went flying through the wall before standing back up.

“I’ll take little missy, you get Bounty back to the jet.” Photon said to Warren before dashing off.

Halo picked up Bounty’s bleeding body and flew out into the main room with Warren close behind.

“Helen, did you hear that?” Warren asked. “Take Bounty to the jet. I’ll check it out.” He said running towards one of the side rooms. He swung open the door to find a woman in an orange silk blouse, locked behind a chain link fence. Upon closer inspection, the woman had very familiar markings on her face.

“Ka.... Kazaroth?” Warren asked in disbelief.

“Warren… you’ve got to help me...” She said, scared.
