Twelve transformations have already happened. We are on the halfway mark and the room is already looking a lot more festive now than it did before.

“Alright, it’s my turn now.” Helen looks quite happy. She probably skated around the longest out of everybody on the day before. Hell, she even went for a quick skate this morning. It is no wonder, seeing as it is her last day where she is still animate. At least, until Christmas.

“A… present?” asks Helen curiously.

I just nod as I take a step back. After all, this is going to be a spectacular transformation.

Helen looks down at her body to see what in the world she will turn into. However, it is not her body that instigates the transformation but the calendar itself. From the door she had opened, streamers and sheets of wrapping paper start shooting out all of a sudden. It causes most of the people here to gasp in surprise as it happens.

    Helen included.

The paper starts wrapping itself around her whole body as if she is a mummy. The streamers waste no moment either as they start tying themselves around her body as well into little ribbons to make her present look extra nice.

“Don’t tell me I’m just going to be wrapped u-” Helen’s demand is interrupted as the paper quickly covers up her mouth, silencing her words. However, just because she is now wrapped up like a Christmas present, that does not simply mean that she is now inanimate. Indeed, she is still fully mobile for now as she starts feeling around herself to make sure she doesn’t accidentally run into someone. After all, the paper is covering her eyes.

Of course, this is only momentary as everybody can see that within the paper and streamers, Helen’s form is quickly starting to change. Her humanoid form is quickly becoming smaller and quite a bit more cubic. Helen’s wiggling and struggling against the transformations inside are becoming less and less frantic as time goes on. Of course, this is due to the inability to move that is quickly taking over her body. There are some muffled attempts of Helen trying to talk that are slowly dying down as well.

“Wonder what kind of present she is becoming in there,” says Iris.

“When do we get to unwrap her?” asks Wolf.

“Normally we’d wait until Christmas,” I say. “However, since you will all be inanimate before that happens, we’ll simply open her after she stops moving in there completely.”

Of course, looking at the wrapped-up box, that time is approaching rather quickly. Nothing really remains of the human shape that Helen once had as she has been fully enclosed in a box. The frantic movements have turned into the occasional bump and even that is diminishing quickly. Anyone standing close to the box could just barely make out some final words being spoken by Helen inside right before the transformation completely takes over.

And just like that, it is over.

“I wanna open her!” says Liza eagerly.

“Be my guest.” I too am very eager to see how Helen turned out.

Liza begins tearing up the transformative wrapping paper and opens the box inside, after which she begins cheering. “I’ve always wanted one of these!” With that, she pulls out what looks to be a model train and two wagons!

I clap my hands and use some magic to make a railway appear, circled around the Corey Christmas tree. “Let’s test her out, shall we?”

We put the Helen toy train on her new rails and, sure enough, she begins moving around the tree. There even appears to be lights turned on within the two wagons!

“Quite a cool present!” says Sarah.

I nod to her. “I couldn’t agree more.”
