“I think I’ll be taking this next spot,” says Lisa. She has been watching all of the transformations with great interest, knowing that she will be among them herself one of these days. Today, that day has come. They find door number 7, just slightly bigger than Iridius’s door yesterday and open it without hesitation. Thereby, they pass the point of no return and give in to their transformation already before anything has even happened.

A dress may look so very nice when worn on Christmas day

But nothing beats a comfy sweater for the homely Christmas way

“Wait… don’t tell me… one of those ugly wool sweaters?” says Lisa.

“But you’re already wearing a dress. Who’s going to wear the sweater?” asks Stargizar.

I don’t say anything yet. I enjoy keeping surprises after all.

Lisa honestly looks a little worried now about not being worn at all but it is too late. She will become a sweater regardless. And indeed, the transformation is already happening as her legs have begun their retraction up into her body.

She holds her hands onto her tummy. Well, she tries to but her hands are slowly vanishing as well now. “I… know now what Teysa was talking about with that feeling of hollowness.” she looks up even more worried now. “I… I wanna be worn!”

I chuckle while her transformation spreads and picks up speed. It is quite exciting to see that she has already started to think like a piece of clothing while still being mostly human. “Don’t worry. You will,” I reassure her at last.

This seems to satisfy her. Her entire upper body has started shifting into brightly-coloured wool. There are reds and greens and even some white. All beginning to depict your typical Christmassy vibes. Snowflakes, santa, reindeer, and even a Christmas tree.

I decide to hold her up now under her arms from behind. I easily lift her off her quickly diminishing feet as she has gotten a lot lighter now. “So you don’t fall.”

“T-thanks…” Lisa stammers. It is kind of hard to tell if she is blushing or if it is simply the transformation making her look a little red now. Well, it must feel a little embarrassing to be lifted up so easily.

Her clothes begin to fall off of her body easily now as more and more of her mass is vanishing. Her hands have completely disappeared into the sleeves that were once her arms. Her legs are completely gone and even her head is starting to vanish as well.

“Happy…. Holidays…” she says meekly as the last evidence of her humanity simply vanishes into the wool sweater that she has become. A piece of clothing to be worn only around Christmas time. Any other time in the year, she’d just be sitting in a closet. Of course, Lisa wouldn’t really be able to protest against that. She’s a sweater.

But of course, none of that is something she will have to worry about.

“Who will wear her then?” asks Emilia.

I smile at her. “Why, you, my love,” I say as I hand Lisa over.

    “Me?” Emilia asks in surprise.

“Won’t she just be transforming as well one of these days?” says Ruby.

I nod. “Don’t worry. It’ll all be clear when it is her turn to open a door.”

Emilia looks at the Lisa sweater and nods. “Alright then!” she says as she skips out of the room to put on her new clothes. It doesn’t take her all that long to reappear again with a big smile on her face. “She’s so comfy!” she says.

I am happy to hear so, for it means that Lisa herself is quite comfortable being a sweater as well herself.
