Rise From the Ashes -> Elegant Phoenix
Spell desc.
This spell will make your victim virtually immortal as they will always begin their life anew again whenever they feel like it. It will also just give you a beautiful bird as a nice pet for you to keep.
Discovery.
On your many adventures throughout town, you decide to give the campsite a visit. There are a few tents here and there and it seems that there's a campfire going on at one of them. Just your typical campsite you feel. There's just one striking feature though and that is the numerous birds that are flying around. They range from all sorts of shapes, colours and sizes. One in particular catches your eye. It's a larger than usual, elegant bird with ruby-red feathers. You watch it fly around for a while, admiring it when things seem to go awry. It suddenly flies very low to the ground towards the burning campfire... and it goes straight through it! You and the other people at the campsite gasp as its feathers catch on fire, but strangely, it doesn't seem to bother them at all. It even seems to be enjoying itself. That's when you realize what that bird really is and you turn around, forming new ideas to have such a bird for yourself.
Form desc. 3rd person
This beautiful bird is an Elegant Phoenix. It can fly pretty rapidly through the sky, but it usually can't help but flaunt its wings a little bit. The beautiful bird is quite the view for everyone around itself and it is easily able to distract the enemies of its owner simply by flying past them. It enjoys fire a lot and thus it has developed the ability to create fire from its feathers. It might seem strange that it just sets itself ablaze but it is perfectly normal for a Phoenix such as this. After all, whenever it feels like it, it could just start its life anew again by rising from the ashes.

You get hit by a spell and you feel that it wastes no time on transforming you. You look around to find your attacker smiling at you before looking down to see what's happening. You find that you are starting to grow feathers on your arms. The feathers look unusually red to you and they seem to almost shimmer in the sunlight. Whatever kind of avian creature you're being turned into, you're having none of it and you revert your changes pretty quickly.
20-40
Another hit and the changes resume again from where they left off. More and more ruby-red feathers start to cover your arms that are quickly becoming more like wings. You can also feel now that your legs are starting to turn into a bird's legs and your feet are transforming into a bird's claws. On top of that, you seem to be shrinking a little bit so that your transformed legs can still carry your body. You glare angrily at your opponent and you want to snap your fingers to turn yourself back, but sadly for you, that seems to be impossible already. Darn! You instead decide to just use your mind in order to revert back, luckily with success, but you will have to be more careful.
40-60
The next spell that hits you transforms you rather quickly. You fear that you are quickly losing this battle as more of your body gains bird-like qualities. You are starting to gain a tail completely made up of feathers the same shade of red as your wings. Really, the only parts of your body still looking like your old self are your chest and your head. You try to tell your attacker to buzz off before you get REALLY angry but to your surprise, all that comes out of your mouth are... shrieks? It certainly doesn't really sound like an audible language anymore. Your move one of your wings to your mouth to cover it in surprise and embarrassment. That's when you notice that your mouth is starting to puff out a bit. Obviously your mouth is starting to turn into a beak now. You certainly don't want THAT to happen so you focus all of your willpower into transforming yourself back again. Something still seems off though. You suddenly start to feel so cold, so much so that you start to shiver from it. It worries you quite a lot but there's not much time. Your attacker is still lurking around after all.
60-80
Another spell hits you and the transformation continues rapidly. The first thing you notice though, aside from the obvious physical changes again, is the fact that your shivering from earlier has stopped. You actually feel quite warm again now, which is a good thing... right? You can't linger on it too much as you regrow your wings, legs and tail on your quickly shrinking body. Your torso starts to take on a lithe form as more feathers grow there. Looking down you see that all of your feminine or masculine features you might have had get covered by them. All in that beautiful red, shimmering colour. You can't help but admire it a little, even though you should really be working on getting rid of it again. Your mouth transforms into a beak again and you let out another shriek as it happens. Unlike the angry one from before, this one sounds like it is filled with a mixture of panic but also pride. That's right, you are starting to become proud of your elegant features, your smooth feathers and your red gleam. No! You can't let your enemy win that easily! You take a good look at them, wanting to look angry but instead, a sense of belonging overcomes you. Gah! The spell is stronger than you thought. You close your eyes and you start focusing on undoing your changes, returning again to your (c)old self.
80-99
The next spell that hits you hits you with such strong force that you get knocked back from it. You don't wanna fall and you brace yourself for impact with your eyes closed, trying to grab at... anything really with your hands. To your surprise though, the impact never comes. You open your eyes carefully to see that you are actually back at your normal height. Was that spell a dud or something? That's when you realize that absentmindedly, you are still flailing your arms around. One look at them confirms what you already suspected. You have been fully transformed into a bird with all all of your body covered in beautiful ruby-red shimmering feathers. Even your head now looks like that of a bird. You are even flying right now! You take one look at your enemy and... you find that you are actually quite happy to see them. They made you this way and you're just so beautiful and elegant now. Your attacker... no, not your attacker... your new owner beckons you to come forward and you let out a proud shriek in return. You are about to join them when a sliver of your old self jerks at your mind. What in the world are you doing? You're giving up on your old self right now just to become some mage's pet? Even if you do look beautiful, there are much better ways of achieving that! It takes a good while for your old self to completely take over again, but you almost instantly regret it, starting to shiver again from the cold. Was turning back the right thing to do?

You shiver madly. You try to create a fireball for yourself but it's simply too small to warm yourself up. You look at your attacker from before again almost with pleading eyes. You realize now that there is only one option really. You must give in to the warmth of their spell. You might not really be yourself again then, but at this point, that doesn't matter anymore. You actually start to look forward to being their pet now. Luckily for you, they are very eager to grant you your wish and before you know it, the transformation overwhelms you one last time. You're shrinking down as your legs turn into those of a bird. Your torso becomes slimmer and more aerodynamic as your arms turn into wings. Lastly, your head completely goes from whatever it was before to that of a bird, beak and all. You're entirely covered now by the beautiful feathers, but something still seems to be off. As if the transformation isn't completely finished. Your new owner beckons you to come and sit on their shoulder. With a few flaps of your new wings you fly up to them eagerly, wondering what they have in stall for you when you see that they created a fireball in their hand that they slowly bring up to you. Anyone would be scared of that but not you. The fire seems so inviting to you. After a few moments, you peck at it and as you do, the fire gets imbued into your body. Immediately you can feel your transformation finish and lock itself in place. You spread your wings to take off and as you fly, the fire burns from your wings and your tail. It looks amazing and it doesn't hurt you at all. It doesn't even ruin your feathers. Content, you let out another very proud shriek. A new phoenix has been reborn.

You find yourself a suitable soon-to-be pet and you send out your first few spells. They seem to be taken aback by it as they start to show the first signs of transforming. All across their arm, feathers start to grow. Beautiful ruby-red feathers that shimmer in the sunlight much like the bird you saw flying around the campsite. A smile forms on your face but it quickly turns into a pout as they undo their changes again just as quickly as they had formed.
20-40
You cast another spell at your victim and to your delight you can see that the transformation spreads a little further this time. More gleaming red feathers form on their arms and they are starting to look like actual wings now. On top of that, you can see that they are shrinking slightly as their legs transform to look more like those of a bird. A cheeky grin forms on your face as they stare angrily at you before they lift one of their new wings to... do something? You're not exactly sure but your victim seems equally surprised that their hand is no longer a hand! Likely they tried to snap their fingers or something to quickly undo their changes, but that's not exactly possible anymore. Sadly though, they can still undo their changes just as easily using their mind.
40-60
Your next spell speeds up the process a bit. Their earlier changes return again, looking a lot more natural now. Not only that but it also seems that a tail has started to grow from their but made from the same red shimmering feathers as their wings. You can't help but admire its beauty. It's such a vibrant colour. Your soon to be pet however disagrees and they glare at you even angrier than before. They open their mouth, probably to start yelling at you but to the surprise of both of you, all that comes out of their mouth is a loud angry shriek. They quickly cover their mouth with one of their wings in surprise and embarrassment when another surprise seems to hit them. They remove their wing and look down at their mouth and you are delighted to see then that it is starting to form into a beak! Sadly though, they undo all of their changes again as soon as possible. You pout but then a glimmer of hope can be seen. Your victim is... shivering? It appears that they are starting to feel quite cold in their old form.
60-80
You send another spell their way and the transformation picks up from where it left off. The red gleaming feathers form all over their body now. On their wings, their tail and now on their chest as well! Not only that but their chest actually slims down into a lithe and very elegant form. Perfect for flying, but it does cover up whatever feminine or masculine features you might have had. They look down at their body with a frown but that frown quickly turns into a look of admiration. They are starting to like some of their changes it seems. The beautiful colour of their feathers, their aerodynamic form. They give out another shriek, but unlike the angry one from before, this one seems to be filled with a mixture of panic but, more importantly, pride! These new thoughts surprises them as well but when they look up at you, their thoughts get interrupted a second time. They look at you like a pet looks at their owner. Perfect! Sadly though, they quickly shake themselves from these thoughts again just as their mouth puffs out into a full on beak. They focus all of their willpower into reverting themselves into their (c)old self, but it might not take too long anymore now.

That spell dealt a serious blow to their defenses as they are knocked right off their feet. As they are sent flying backwards, their body quickly transforms and all of their bird-like features return to them so quickly. You see that they are using their transforming arms to try and grab at something to break their fall, but they quickly turn into wings and sure enough, their flailing quickly turns to flapping. They are actually flying now! Your new pet looks around itself curiously, wondering why it didn't hit the ground and they gasp as they realize that they have been fully transformed into a beautiful bird. They look at you and their look seems so loving as they let out a proud shriek. They are obviously happy to see you now. After all, you were the one to make them this way. You're happy to have been successful and you beckon for them to come to you in order to give them the finishing touch. That's when things go wrong sadly. A small sliver of their old self suddenly seems to gain the upper hand again. It takes a while but sadly for you, your new pet finally changes back into their old self again, shivering madly once more from the cold. You're almost there!

Your victim shivers from what they perceive as freezing temperatures. They look a little desperate, unable to get warm again. Both of you know the real reason and they come towards you, almost begging for the sweet and warm embrace of your final spell. You grant them this wish with a smile and look eagerly over their transformation. They shrink down again as their legs and feet turn into bird's legs and claws. Long ruby-red feathers start to grow from their behind again, forming into a beautiful tail as their arms transform into wings again. Their torso goes back to being so lithe and aerodynamic and lastly, their head is transformed fully into that of a bird. They still don't seem to be fully happy yet though but you know what they need. You beckon for them to come and sit on your shoulder and they eagerly do so. All that you need to do now is imbue them with fire. You create a fireball in your hand that you bring up to your new pet. It looks at it curiously but soon, it pecks at the fireball and that seals the deal. A fiery aura surrounds them for a moment as they spread their wings to fly off. You can see that from their wings, flames swell up and it looks beautiful. They give one more proud squeak and you give one more smile as your victim has been reborn as your new phoenix pet.
