Buford
"Hey man!" Buford said loudly, giving Phineas a strong pat on the back, making him nearly fall over. "What'cha doin' out here all alone?"
"Yeah... it's nothing for you to be so... alone." Adyson said. Buford had put his arm around her and just loved to show off that she was his.
Phineas quickly wiped off his tears with the sleeve of his suit and hoped that they hadn't seen him crying. "Just... thinking..." he managed to say.
"Ooooh boy, that doesn't sound good. Did your sister make you mad or something?" Buford asked.
"Wha? No... no she didn't" Phineas replied.
"You know Candace wouldn't do that, Bufie" Adyson told her boyfriend.
"What? It was just a guess..." Buford snorted, making Adyson chuckle.
"Anyway, what's wrong, Phineas?" Adyson then asked.
"Nothing... just... " Phineas replied.
"Hmm... sounds like a typical case of denial" Adyson said.
"And denial is bad. It can crush you, you know" Buford said. "I know all about that..."
"Well I'm glad you managed to put that strong bully-act aside" Adyson said with a giggle.
"It wasn't an act! I just... you know... got tired of it!" Buford denied before realizing that he was now contradicting himself which caused him to shut up. It was true though. Since only a couple of weeks before the end-terms, Buford finally decided to stop his ways of the bully and focus on his future. Of course, he would still treat Baljeet the way he always did because he wouldn't want to miss that! He just started to become nicer to everybody else. In return, Adyson finally confessed her feelings for him, after which Buford did the same. Phineas always thought back of that every time he saw the ex-bully with his girlfriend.
"Okay I am sad... you happy now?" Phineas then said. They were wrong because now, he only felt worse.
"Well no, but we'll get to that later" Buford said, giving Adyson a wink. "Okay, you don't have to tell me why you're as sad as you are right now... what I do think you should do is try to forgive and forget. That always works."
Forgive and forget... easy for him to say! How could Phineas forgive himself if he didn't even know what he had done wrong? Another thing added to the 'try to figure it out, okay?'-list.
"Thanks... I'll keep that in mind" Phineas managed to say. "I'll uh... leave you two then... don't wanna spoil your fun." He put up a fake grin before turning around and entering the house again.
The couple stared at him for a while before discussing what actually happened. It didn't take them long to get to the right answer: Isabella.
