Baljeet
When Phineas entered the house again, he didn't even notice all of the other guests anymore. Some people said their hello's to him but he would just stare down to the floor with his hands in his pockets. He had to find Ferb, he'd know what to do! Still puzzled by his thoughts, he moved on until he was, once again, nearly knocked over. This time, it was due to a dancing couple accidentally getting in his way.
"Oh... I am terribly sorry... Phineas?"
"Oh... hey Baljeet, Ginger" Phineas replied, again with his fake grin. Seeing them always reminded them of Isabella telling him about Ginger's crush so many years ago.
"Hmm, normally, you would be talking so much that I would have noticed you before we danced into you..." Baljeet then said.
"That's true, something must be up" Ginger said.
"Well I'm glad that that's so obvious" Phineas sighed.
"Oh you should know that you are terrible at hiding your feelings" Baljeet grinned.
Ginger chuckled but Phineas merely shrugged.
"Well anyway, I do not like to see you so sad" Baljeet said.
"Me neither... actually no-one does! Not even Buford did before his big change" Ginger continued.
"Well sorry then..." Phineas then said. He hated sounding so distant and possibly mean to his friends but Isabella's words kept him too busy to worry about that.
Fortunately for him, Baljeet and Ginger didn't look offended. Unfortunately, worry took its place and many questions were doomed to follow. He didn't want this to happen so before any of them could form a question, he asked one himself. "Did you ever fight?"
Both were shocked at this question.
"Well uh... everybody has fights from time to time..." Ginger said, remembering a fight about Baljeet's friend Mishti.
"Yeah but... a severe fight..." Phineas didn't want to give away too much of course but following Buford's advise, keeping it all in won't do anybody any good.
"Well... I guess you could say that..." Baljeet said, trying to cover his saddened look. Both didn't want to remember that fight.
"So... what'd you do to make it up again?" Phineas asked.
"We uh... said sorry" Ginger then said, making Baljeet chuckle behind his teeth. Ginger herself giggled as well a bit at this. Even Phineas managed to show a small, real smile.
"Fair enough... but what if one of you didn't know what you did wrong?" Phineas continued.
"Hmm... that is a good question... if Ginger hurt me without her knowing it... I do not know if I would tell her..." Baljeet replied.
"You know, I think I'd react the same way..." Ginger then said.
"But that's from the accuser's perspective. I'm asking about the oblivious culprit's perspective?" Phineas said.
"I guess I'd first ask and if that doesn't work, try to figure it out" both said simultaneously.
