Phineas
"Hey... can I join you?" Phineas asked.
Isabella didn't say anything in return and just moved aside a bit, gaze fixed on the little pond in the backyard.
"You seem sad..." Phineas said, trying to break the silence. "Did anyone back inside...?"
"No..." Isabella said quietly.
The music from the party going on inside was still loud enough for them to hear every word of it. Since everybody passed their exams, Megan decided to throw a party to celebrate that. Phineas, Ferb and Isabella all entered the house simultaneously but after a while, Phineas lost sight of Isabella. It was strange to suddenly find her like this because she didn't seem so troubled when they first entered.
The raven-haired girl nervously started playing with her dress a bit.
"Well... I brought you some punch" Phineas said, giving her a glass. She stared at it for a while, then looked at her long-time crush before finally taking it from him.
"Thanks..." she said.
"Okay Izzy, what's wrong?"
"I... I just wanted to be alone..."
"But you've been crazy about this party since Megan announced it."
"I know..."
Phineas didn't understand what was wrong. Was the party not what she had expected? Was something missing? "Well... you know you can always tell me if something's wrong."
Isabella went silent again and her gaze returned to the pond.
"So uh... yeah..." Phineas started again. He then held up his glass and said with a smile "to our friendship!"
Isabella then stared at him but instead of joining in on his toast, she backed away with her glass. "N-no..."
Phineas's eyes widened. No?
"Phineas, I don't want to be friends anymore..."
That's when Phineas's world crashed. One of his, if not, the best friend had just told him that she doesn't want to be friends anymore? "But... wha...why..." He was at a loss for words.
"Try to figure it out, okay?" Isabella then said. She then stood up and left the garden for the alley, leaving him sitting there.
"I-Isabella wait!" Phineas finally managed to scream but it was too late. She was gone. Phineas couldn't believe it. Isabella had just told him to get out of her life? But why?! What did he do wrong?!? Questions started to fill his mind until finally, a tear sprung from his eyes. Phineas had only cried on a few occasions in his life and most of those were of laughter.
Isabella was gone...
