Silence filled the room. Only the ticking clock was heard until suddenly...
"I GOT IT" Phineas yelled and he placed his rook, or better known as a tower, on a certain spot on the playing field after which he said "check!"
Ferb just rolled his eyes; it was only a check. He then thought of his next move. Every time he and his brother played chess, it would end in a tie but that didn't keep them from trying to find a winner. One day, it nearly ended in Ferb winning but Phineas came back with a bang. In the end, that's how it always ended: only the black and white kings would remain.
Ferb thought for a while until he moved his knight, or better known as a horse, in such a position that it would block off the tower from hitting his king. If Phineas were to hit the horse instead, he'd lose his tower to a pawn.
"Nice move, Ferb." Phineas smiled.
"What are you two doing!" Candace demanded.
"We're playing chess." Phineas replied. "Wanna play with one of us after we're done?"
"I am not gonna go and humiliate myself by losing big time to you two in a stupid game of chess!" Candace retorted.
"Eh... ok" Phineas said and he resumed thinking of his next move.

"Wait a minute..." Candace had left the room and suddenly realized something: they were just playing chess! How could she bust them if they were doing something innocent like this. This, of course, meant that she had found herself another day of freedom!
Her cellphone rang: it was Stacy.
"Hi Stace. How are you?"
"Hi, Candy. I'm doing great! You won't believe what I just got." Stacy seemed really excited.
"You got a mail from someone who said that someone mailed someone that someone said that Jeremy is going to ask me for a very special date tonight?" Candace asked excitedly.
"Sorry to disappoint you Candace but it has nothing to do with you and Jeremy today" Stacy said.
"Oh..." Candace was a little disappointed but was quickly overtaken by curiosity. "Then what is it?"
"I just got a call from someone who said that someone texted someone who mailed someone that Coltrane is going to ask ME on a very special date tonight!" Stacy squealed with joy.
Candace squealed with her. Stacy had had a great time with Coltrane back when the Baljeatles performed, but hadn't heard anything anymore ever since.
"So, that means that he likes you too then!!!" Candace said excitedly.
"YES, I can't believe it! I mean, all this time I thought he forgot about me."
"Well obviously he didn't!"
Stacy was overjoyed "I can't wait to see him again! I hope he'll-" She couldn't finish her sentence as there came another call. "OH MY GOSH it's him!"
"Ok, calm down! I'll be hanging on this end of the phone!" Candace said and she stood there waiting for Stacy to answer again. Her mood was somewhat disturbed though.

"I can't believe that after all this time we still haven't found a winner yet" Phineas grinned, making the last possible move for him and Ferb to end up with just the kings again.
Ferb shrugged and grinned back.
"Why are we even playing this inside on such a small scale? I'd say we can do a lot better than just these little pieces." Phineas said. He thought for a bit and then said "Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today!"
"Ok, you little jerk, I heard that! What are you up to now!" Candace didn't trust them enough to think that they would just be playing chess all day. She had learned that lesson back when they zapped her into a game with only a towel and a hairdryer.
"Hey again Candace. We're going to build a huge chessboard! Lots of people can participate that way!" Phineas said happily. "Would you wanna pl-"
"Oooooh you're so busted!" Candace said and she stormed off again. She took the phone again and was just about to call mom when Stacy was back on the line again.
"CANDACE, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BELIEVE THIS" she yelled.
"What, what is it!" Candace forgot about her brothers for a this.
"He is going to take me to dinner at a very expensive restaurant!" Stacy squealed again.
"OH MY GOSH, I'm so glad for you Stace! Have a lot of fun!" Candace squealed along with her again.
"Thank you! If only I could decide on what to wear though!"
"Oh don't worry about that! I'm coming over right now!" Candace said and she hung up. She prepared herself to leave when she realized that her brothers were still up to something.

"Let's see, we could both be the kings and Isabella and Candace could be the queens! Then Buford and Baljeet could-" Phineas was cut off.
"PHINEAS, didn't I tell you I don't want anything to do with your stupid project!" Candace retorted.
"Oh that's right" Phineas grinned. "Slipped my mind I guess."
Ferb looked from Candace to Phineas and knew trouble was ahead so he just said "Hey, where's Perry."
the semi-aquatic mammal had left them yet again to secretly go after the evil doctor Doofenshmirtz. Unknown to them, the platypus had entered the secret elevator just on the other side of the wall to go into his hideout again.
"Good question, Ferb" Phineas said.
Candace just growled a bit and then left again. She then said "As soon as I get back you'll be in soooo much trouble." and she slammed the door shut behind her.
"Hmm, I guess we'll have to find someone else to be the other queen then. But first, let's get our blueprints all sorted out" Phineas said excitedly as they walked out into the backyard.

"Ah, there you are agent P. The evil doctor Doofenshmirtz is at it again but before we go into details about your mission, Carl and I have a bit of a surprise for you. See, today marks the 5-year-anniversary of your employment in the O.W.C.A. and we should celebrate that!" Monogram said while Carl blew on a party horn. "Congratulations, agent P!" he said.
Perry smiled. He had been anticipating this day for a long while now. It also meant something else: it would be the 5-year-anniversary of him meeting his nemesis Doofenshmirtz as well!
"Ah, I remember the first day you came here" Monogram revised and let out a tear. "I was so proud to be handing you that fedora and sending you on your very first mission to go after the evil doctor Doofenshmirtz."
"Eh, Major. That's all great but aren't you forgetting something?" Carl said.
"Oh that's right! Agent P, doctor Doofenshmirtz has been buying dangerously familiar materials off the internet. Dangerously familiar as in the fact that he's already bought these materials once before... Which means that he must be redoing one of his old tricks. Carl, didn't he already redo one of his evil tricks?" Monogram said.
"Yes he did, sir. He packed the entire eastern seaboard in tin foil twice." Carl said.
"Then why is he repeating a trick again? Oh it really doesn't matter I guess. Oh, you're wondering what old trick he's repeating" Monogram said upon seeing Perry's curious look.
"Well, if you remember your first mission well enough, that's the one" Monogram said.
Perry smiled again. He remembered that plan well. After making himself a photo, Doofenshmirtz wanted to copy it at least 1 million times to make sure everybody in the tri-state area knew his face. That way, they would already get used to their future leader.
"Aaanyway, he might already be making a new photograph so uh.. go and stop him! Monogram out" Monogram said.
"And Carl is also out!" Carl said excitedly but when he saw Monogram frown at him, he quickly returned to his desk.
Perry then left with his hovercraft.
