They slowly opened their eyes again, only to be welcomed by light that was too bright. Apparently, someone had opened up the curtains while they were asleep.
"Hmm *cough* I guess it must be nearly sundown" Phineas said.
Isabella then stirred as well. Slowly, she sat up straight. "I guess so then... and I'm still feeling ill" she said with a sad look. She'd hoped sleeping would do them good but it didn't have any effect.
"Yeah, me neither. Illness shouldn't keep us in bed for that long *cough* should it?" Phineas said with a grin, trying to sound cheerful. He too had hoped sleeping would cure them again. It was, after all, the best medicine for illnesses such as these.
"No, it shouldn't! especially not you Phineas, you're way too creative to be tied to a bed."
"I guess so, but at least I have some great company." Phineas grinned, hoping he'd said the right thing.
He did as now, Isabella was blushing, returning some color to her pale skin of illness. "Anyway, I guess my mother will be picking me up again soon."
"Yeah, but don't worry, I'll have Ferb to keep me company!"
"Heh, you're one to talk, I don't have a sister or brother" Isabella sighed at this.
"Hmm, that's true, that was rather selfish of me. Well when we're awake, we could build you a robo-sister once and..." Phineas couldn't finish his sentence as he was hit by a few coughs again.
"Oh don't worry about me. I think my mother would go crazy" Isabella replied. Both laughed at this until coughing interrupted them yet again.
Phineas then let his eyes stray across the room until they locked on his alarm clock. It was 1 'o clock in the afternoon.
"W-what is it?" Isabella said, coughing.
"We... we've been sleeping till the next day..."
"R-really? You mean like through the night?"
"It's 1 o' clock in the afternoon so yes..."
"And we didn't even notice." Isabella now became a bit scared, but also happy. It was a bad thing that they had slept for so long and for all they know they might even have been sleeping for two days. She hoped that wasn't the case. On the other hand, her mother had left her here with Phineas. Did that mean that her mother thought they looked too close or something to be taken apart? Whatever it was, they were left alone and that was a great thing.

"So... we've finally agreed on something then" Buford said with a smirk on his face. "Thought it would take forever... by that time they'd already be better again."
"Buford, you forget that they're dealing with a virus! That could be bad! They could have a bad form of the flu! They could d-" Baljeet said.
Buford gave him a stomp. "And thank you captain despair. It's just some flu. Just relax."
"Oooh I wish I shared your laid-back attitude at this" Baljeet said.
Ferb wasn't listening to the two anymore. He first had to make sure that Phineas and Isabella were indeed going to be better again. He let Buford and Baljeet bicker again and left to find doctor Hirano. "This can't be their end, there's simply no way" he kept telling himself.

"Ah, you're awake again" doctor Hirano said, entering the room.
"Yes, yes we *cough* are" Phineas replied with a smile.
"So how do you feel?" the doctor asked.
"Not much better from yesterday" Isabella replied. "Though I can breathe through my nose again" she grinned.
"Well, good to see your moods haven't suffered" Mrs. Hirano replied. "But I'm afraid I have some bad news for you..."
Right away, both Phineas's and Isabella's smile faded. "W-what is it?" Phineas asked shakily.
"I'm afraid that you two have gotten yourself a virus..."
"A-a virus?" Isabella got scared. "W-what sort of virus?"
"I'm afraid that you will..."
"What?" Phineas interrupted, scared as well
"... have to stay in bed for 3 more days." The doctor smiled.
There was a huge sigh of relief from both Phineas and Isabella. Then it hit them: no outdoor activity for the coming 3 days. This was going to be a loooong week.
"I'm also sorry to tell you that I can't let anyone in here. We don't want it to spread, you know" doctor Hirano then said.
"Well, that's a great downer... " Phineas said. He then looked at Isabella, smiled and turned back again. "But I think we'll manage."
Isabella smiled in return. "Yes, as long as we're together."
"Oh don't worry. It's too risky to get you back to your home again, Isabella. Vivian's already agreed that you'll be staying here. Now if you two need anything, there are always people walking past your door. I heard Candace took the liberty of staying in front of your door for quite a while yesterday. She's  a really caring sister" the doctor said. She didn't know Candace was there for completely different reasons but it didn't matter. "Anyway, get well soon and those 3 days might end up to be only 1 or 2 days!" With that, she left the room. She had just closed the door and turned around when she was startled by the sudden presence of a green-haired 10-year-old. "Wow, you nearly gave me a heart-attack. I wish you'd talk some more to let people know you're there." The doctor grinned anyway.
Ferb looked at her with apologetic eyes which turned to eyes of worry soon after.
"Oh don't worry about them. The worst that can happen is that they'll die of boredom. They will have to stay in bed for 3 more days I'm afraid, but they'll be alright."
Ferb sighed in relief just as Phineas and Isabella did before.
"Now, I heard you were going to have a surprise for them. Would you like to tell me what exactly?"
"It's a trip" Ferb said.
"A trip?"
"To an important place for them."
"And where is that place?"
"In France..."
