"Ah man, this day sucks without dinner-bell and bowgirl around" Buford exclaimed loudly.
"Aw Buford, you just have to make your own fun" Baljeet said. He regretted doing so right away when he saw the bully's devious grin.
Ferb didn't mind the two and was just thinking about Phineas and Isabella. It rarely occurred that Phineas was ill and he wasn't. he felt almost... lonely. Normally Phineas would be the one to keep him entertained and happy but now that he was in bed... Isabella being in bed didn't help either. Isabella was able to cheer him up as well if something happened to Phineas. Of course the chat would take a turn for her crush on him but that would only amuse Ferb more. Buford and Baljeet arguing all the time didn't help either.
"So, w-what movie would you wanna watch then, Izzy?" Phineas said softly.
Isabella didn't reply right away. She was having her eyes closed, thinking about her failed shot earlier. Her victory at backgammon was great but it wasn't exactly what was necessary for her to feel better again.
"Izzy?" Phineas asked worried. "Do you... do you want me to get the bucket?"
That's when Isabella was smacked out of her thoughts. "What? Oh n-no, thank you Phin." She coughed a little more. "Uhm... " Isabella began thinking of a movie for them to watch.
"Well make up your mind soon you two. I'll be back in 10 minutes" Linda said, leaving the two again.
They were alone again. 10 minutes of solitude. Would that be the right moment? Isabella pondered about it while Phineas just looked at her. He knew something was up with her. He just didn't know what it was. He gave a loud sigh. Isabella looked at him with wide eyes.
"What is it?" Isabella asked.
"Oh I... I just can't decide on a movie to watch" Phineas said, coughing.
"Oh... right" Isabella said with a bit of disappointment.
"Let's first go for the right genre" Phineas said, trying to put on a smile. "I'd say we could pick a really boring genre so we will fall asleep fast" he joked.
Isabella giggled before coughing loudly again. "W-well, what do you consider boring then?" she asked.
"Oh, I don't know... movies that take too long to get to the point I guess... like some westerns. I'd say Ferb, you and me made far better cowboys" Phineas joked. Isabella cough-giggled again. Seeing her giggle made Phineas smile again. "Oh and uh..." Phineas wanted to say.
"Romantic films?" Isabella said. She rolled her eyes a bit when saying that.
Phineas's eyes widened and he looked at her. "Wh- what makes you think that?" He coughed a bit.
Isabella's eyes went wide open with shock. She had to shake herself awake again. "Oh... no particular reason... I was...well because... no really..." Isabella coughed again, saving herself a bit.
Phineas thought it was weird that she said that. He decided that that was probably what most boys would consider boring and shrugged it off. "Well anyway, I was gonna say very girly ones like the Barbie movies" Phineas giggled.
Isabella looked at him again, still feeling stupid. "Oh... right... they aren't that bad" she managed to say.
Phineas cough-giggled at that. He then pitched his voice and began saying lines that Barbie would say like "Oh no, Ken, help me! there's a mouse in the room!"
This made Isabella laugh loudly (with a few coughs in between of course). Phineas smiled again at this. "Okay, maybe they are a bit too much for you" Isabella said with a grin.
"Oh alright mom!" Candace grunted.
"Okay, thank you sweetie. I'll be back soon then" Linda said.
Of course her mother asked her to help out Phineas. Of course she had to go to the store. Why did she expect any different. She walked towards the stairs when she noticed that Ferb was gone as well while Buford and Baljeet were still sort of arguing in the room. "What is he up to now!" Candace thought and she went to investigate.
"I told you, I only packed 5 spare underpants! Please don't make me go as far as to go home again!" Baljeet begged.
"I can't help it! I'm bored! What did you expect!" Buford yelled.
"WOULD YOU KNOCK IT DOWN PLEASE, THERE ARE PEOPLE TRYING TO BUST THEIR BROTHERS... BROTHER HERE!!" Candace interrupted. She was so used to busting both Phineas and Ferb that it was quite a shock to bust just Ferb for the day.
The boys looked at her with wide eyes until Baljeet finally said "Hey, where's Ferb?"
Candace rolled her eyes "Yeah yeah, where's Ferb, where's Perry, where's Pinky... there's always someone missing here! Why can't everybody just... oh right, where is Ferb?" Candace said, realizing that that was just the question she wanted to ask them.
"Don't you think he wouldn't have asked that question if he already knew?" Buford said.
Candace face-palmed.
"Okay, we'll help you search for him then" Buford then said.
"Wha?" Baljeet wanted to say but he was nudged in the side by his bully. Candace had frequently noticed that Buford behaved weird when she was around. Maybe he was the one that stole her cell-phone and added himself! She pondered about that but didn't want to think about it much longer.
"Right... let's go search for Ferb then and... oh wait, I still have to go and see Phineas and Isabella" Candace grunted again.
"Well, it seems like Candace is at it again" Isabella thought, smiling.
"What's up?" Phineas said.
"Oh nothing, just your sister shouting again as usual" Isabella replied.
"Ah yes, I see" Phineas grinned. "So anyway, about that movie. I think it would turn our stomachs around to watch a horror or thriller movie so let's not do that!" Phineas grinned again with a few coughs.
"That's true" Isabella coughed as well. "I don't really like horror anyway." She grinned.
"Hehe, don't worry. The guy with the creepy mask won't sneak up on us suddenly. And suppose he does! Then I'm still here" Phineas grinned. Isabella blushed. He was willing to protect her! It felt so good to hear that!
"So eh... Phin, about what I wanted to tell you this morning..."
"Yeah Izzy?"
"Have you two made up your mind about that movie yet" Candace said annoyed upon walking in the room. Another chance failed.
