Slowly, Isabella opened her eyes and the moment she did that, she knew something was wrong. Everything seemed to be blurry, she felt really warm and when she tried to sit up, she felt really dizzy and fell right back again.
"Well this is just great..." she thought to herself. "I guess I can't go over to Phineas today OR get more patches with the fireside girls." She sighed thinking of what she'd miss today.
Isabella, like Phineas, hated being ill as it would mean staying in bed all day. She coughed a bit which wasn't a very good idea as this made her aware of the pain in her throat as well.
"Thanks... you got more things against me, fate?" Isabella thought annoyed. That's when Vivian shouted from downstairs.
"Isabella, breakfast is ready!"
"Well that's great..." Isabella thought. She didn't feel hungry at all. Her stomach felt too disturbed for her to eat anything. The pain in her throat was enough to make her stay silent though. She didn't like to ignore her mother but she didn't want to risk raising her voice either right now.
"Isabella!" her mother shouted again with a bit of concern this time. Not much later, Vivian came walking up the stairs and into her room. "Isa, didn't you hear me? Breakfa-" Vivian stopped midsentence when she saw her pale daughter still in bed.
"...S-sorry mom, I-I don't feel so g-good" Isabella managed to say with a very soft voice.
"Oh no! How do you feel? You want me to get you anything?" Vivian asked as she walked over to her daughter and felt her forehead. It indeed felt really warm which made her grow with even more concerns.
"D-don't worry mom... I-I just need to..." Isabella couldn't finish her sentence as she was coughing loudly again.
"You poor girl" Vivian said. "Oh and this just HAD to happen today."
"W-what do you mean?" Isabella asked between her coughs.
"I have to leave for the day to pay a visit to the bank and after that, I have my appointment with the dentist. I can cancel them though to-"
"N-no... don't cancel them for m-me mom. I-I'll be fine"
"Well you don't look fine to me at all so I'm staying here."
"W-wait... Ph-Phineas can take c-care of me" Isabella said. She lightened up a bit at that thought.
"Hmm, that might be a good idea" her mother said. "But be sure to tell them if things go wrong. They'll call me and I'm on my way then."
"Yes mom, I-I know."
With that, Vivian left her daughter to pay their neighbors from across the street a visit. In the meantime, Isabella thought of Phineas. He would take care of her for sure. She was sure Phineas was already growing concerned for her now that he's heard about her being ill from her mother. She didn't like to concern Phineas but it did show that he cared for her a lot. When her mother returned, Isabella came out of Phineas-land and looked at her. Vivian smiled.
"Well I have good news and bad news. The good news is that they don't mind an extra patient" Vivian said.
"G-great... A-an extra patient?" Isabella asked confused.
"Yes, that's the bad news. Phineas is feeling ill as well" Vivian said. "Is it just me or do you two always have to have everything the same." She smiled a bit at that.
Isabella looked at her with shocked eyes. There goes her planned day with doctor Phineas taking care of her. Her shock was immediately replaced with concern though. "I-is he feeling the s-same way?"
"I don't know for sure but it sounded alike. Now let's get you over to the other side of the street" Vivian said and with that, she made preparations to move her daughter.

"Ah, Hello again, Vivian" Linda said. She had carried her daughter over and Isabella was now coughing wildly again.
"H-hello Mrs. Flynn" Isabella managed to get out.
"You poor thing" Linda said.
"Well, you know where to reach me if things go wrong and..." Vivian said.
"We know" Linda cut her off. "Don't worry, Viv, we'll take care of her." She then took Isabella into her own arms.
"Well, goodbye Isa, I hope you and Phineas feel better soon!" Vivian said.
"B-bye mom" Isabella said and her mother was off.
"Well, let's get you upstairs then. It must be a spreading virus or something" Linda said.
"O-okay" Isabella said. They then entered the room of Phineas and Ferb.
"H-hey Phineas... w-what'cha doin'?" Isabella said before coughing loudly again.
"I-Izzy! You too huh?" Phineas said upon seeing his best friend.
"Y-yes" Isabella replied.
"Well, let's get you in bed as well then, Isabella. Ah yes, that's the bad news. Because of Phineas being ill, I took precautions and put Ferb's bed sheets in the washing-machine. I'm afraid you will have to move a bit Phineas" Linda said.
The eyes of both Phineas and Isabella widened with shock. Did she really just say that? For Isabella, it was one of the best things she's heard all day. For Phineas, it was worry. He didn't mind moving over for her, but maybe Isabella would rather sleep in a bed of her own he thought. Both didn't complain though and thus, Phineas moved aside a bit.
"There you go" Linda said when she placed Isabella next to Phineas. "Now, if you two need anything, Ferb will be around. In case your uh... stomach wants to empty itself, there's a bucket right over there and... well that's about it. Get well you two" Linda said and she was off again.
