Story Text:
"A monster attack downtown left eight injured and twenty-two dead before the AMU team got the situation under control. In the aftermath, we're all left wondering, what happened to Whimsical Whitney and her companion, Breezy?"
Liam winced as he watched the news broadcast, hoping no one he knew got hurt in the attack. Not wishing to hear anymore, he quickly turned the television off and stood from his couch. "I need some fresh air," he murmured, grabbing his jacket, phone, and wallet before leaving his apartment.
'What happened to Whimsical Whitney?' Those words had echoed in the tall, sandy blond man's head for the last three months. He wasn't alone, however. All citizens of Redhaven wondered where their resident magical girl went. She was a beacon of hope who single handedly repelled monster and villain attacks, keeping fatalities far lower than an entire government combat team could manage with the help of her trusty anime sidekick and steed, Breezy. The AMU, or "Anti-Monster Unit," struggled to handle a single monster with teams ranging anywhere from five to twenty individuals.
A little while later, Liam was listening to music through his earbuds and taking a shortcut through an alleyway leading to the nearby corner store. Greatly distracted, he didn't notice the commotion up ahead until he stepped out and saw a massive wolf-like creature standing before the corner store, growling dangerously.
Staff members appeared horrified through the windows, having locked the doors while some retreated into the back. It was only a matter of time before the monster chose to strike.
"O-- oh fuck," Liam gasped, taking a step back as his palms began to sweat. Should he run? But, he knew the people who worked here; he liked them. Would the AMU show up? They were still struggling forty minutes away from the monster attack earlier that day, so it was likely they wouldn't respond in time.
"What do I do??" He stammered, feeling panic set in. He didn't want to run away-- not now.
"I can sense it," a childish voice chimed.
Liam whipped around and saw no one. Who the hell said that?
"The warrior's spirit within you. You're trying to figure out how you can get the monster away from the store, aren't you? Most would have run away by now," the voice continued.
Liam's eyes snapped downward, locking onto a tiny, peculiar creature. A snow-white ermine with an extra long, fluffy tail, pale blue eyes, and a girly blue bow around its neck. "W-- What? Am I losing my mind?"
"Do you have what it takes to step up and take Whimsical Whitney's place? I'm Ringo, a magical ermine with the power to grant powers to a lucky chosen few," the creature continued.
This was real, wasn't it? He glanced at the corner store, where the wolf beast growled and slowly paced, its eyes narrowing as it glared through the windows. He looked back to the ermine, noticing the soft glow emanating from its tiny form. "Are you saying I could gain enough power to stop this beast?"
"Yes," Ringo chimed in response. "And others. I will bestow powers upon you and you will fight to protect Redhaven! Technically, I can't stop you from taking the powers and then doing nothing with them, so I need to be careful of who I pick."
The wolf lunged forward and swiped a paw through the glass, shattering the door as screams of terror filled the cool night air.
"F-- Fine, I'll do it! Grant me power!" Liam cried.
"As you wish!" Ringo purred. She trotted in a circle before lifting her paws and placing them on Liam's shin.
A bright, white glow enveloped Liam as he gasped, a hot prickling sensation bubbling all over. "A-- ahhh!" He squeaked in an abnormally high pitch as his insides swirled and ached. A peculiar sloshing and gurgling sounded from his quaking form as his legs buckled and he began to panic. "W-- what's happening to me?" He stammered.
"It won't take long! As discussed, you'll become a new magical girl-- one that can fight for peace and justice!" Ringo cheered.
Magical girl?? Liam's eyes widened and he was about to protest when his bones popped and cracked, his limbs shortening while his muscles softened. A girl? He would become a she? Was this a joke? "W-- Wait, I-- ugggggh!" His facial bones spasmed weirdly, followed by his nose, chin, and other facial features receding and softening. All the while, a burning itch enveloped his chest while an unrelenting throb pulsed from below his navel.
"It's okay! What you have between your legs is no big deal, right? You'll be way cuter and way more powerful!"
Liam wasn't okay with this, but a quick glance toward the great wolf forcing its way into the store made him grit his teeth and shake his head. 'God dammit... There really is no choice.' He closed his eyes, clenched his hands, and reluctantly accepted the impending changes.
As he lost height, his waist gradually tightened while his ass plumped up and strained against his pants. More disturbing was the indescribable tightness between his legs as his genitals lowered in tandem with his hips widening. What would it be like to have a pussy? To piss sitting down and to masturbate with female equipment?
"Ahhhh!" Liam squeaked, his voice sounding more girlish by the second. Unable to resist, he slid a hand into his pants and boxers, feeling his withered cock and empty, increasingly taut scrotum. With a bit of alarmed probing, he just barely felt his testes within his pelvis, but they soon rose out of reach. As this happened, he felt the remnants of his ball sack split open, causing him to withdraw in alarm. How was this possible? Why were such pleasurable sensations washing over her?
Her tailbone and head throbbed as a tail suddenly burst forth from her lower back, a set of pale pink cat ears poking from atop her head. Whitney had wolf traits, but Liam hadn't considered she might develop cute animal characteristics as well. "W-- what??" She squeaked, still barely able to comprehend what was happening.
"Oh!!! Your hair is turning such a nice pastel pink," the ermine beamed. "Looks like you're gonna be a kitty-- so cute! You're going to be really popular! I wonder what your new name will be."
Pink kitty? New name? Liam was utterly overwhelmed, but there was no time to dwell on such strange matters. What it came down to was she needed to finish this bizarre transformation as soon as humanly possible so she could step in to help.
Meanwhile, a tall, skinny man with dark hair pulled into a ponytail and glasses trembled as his phone call abruptly ended. "Ashley!?? Ashley!!" He tried to call her back, but there was no answer.
Seconds earlier, Ken's sister, Ashley, called from her job at the local corner store and let him know that they were under attack from a monster; she didn't think she'd make it out alive.
Not knowing what else to do, he pulled on a hoodie and bolted out of his parents' home, sprinting down the sidewalk toward the store. By now, most nearby were aware of the attack and had either driven away or barricaded themselves in their homes, hoping they'd stay safe.
Before Ken could round the corner, a small pure black ermine with a long fluffy tail, red eyes, and a red neck bow stopped him. "Is there someone you wish to save?" The small being asked.
Ken's eyes widened. As a magical girl aficionado, he had learned of such magical familiars-- small, mystical animals with the power to bestow magical girl powers. "Y-- You're..."
"I'm Coco! One of two magical critters who helps watch over Redhaven. Would you like the power to protect the ones you love? I sense great determination within you."
Unlike Liam, he understood what this meant. If he accepted the power, he'd become a cute girl with immense power, right? So be it; there would certainly be advantages and he'd be able to save his sister. "Y-- yes! Can you grant me power?? I know my body will change-- I'll never be who I am now again, but I don't care. Please! I have to save her!"
"You will become a companion for our new magical girl. Do you swear to lend her your power and help fend off the threats that assail Redhaven?" Coco asked innocently.
If Ken was thinking more clearly, he would have likely understood what Coco was suggesting. In his panicked state, an image of a magical girl duo entered his head. It was always a magical girl and her pet, but now there would be two magical girls? A fantasy entered his head, imagining himself as a cute girl spending time with another cute magical girl who would quickly become her best friend. That could be fun, right? "Y-- yeah! I promise!"
"Your body will change quite drastically. You'll b--,"
"It's fine! I understand!" Ken cut Coco off. He didn't need to be told how he'd be losing his manhood as part of the deal.
The small creature tilted her head. "If you say so! Power infusion, commence!" She leaped up and placed her paws on Ken's shin, a red aura quickly enveloping him.
Ken gasped and held his hands out, feeling as his bones and organs started to shift around within him. He was ready; so what if he was a magical girl? He was already looking forward to all the experiences he'd enjoy in his new, adorable form.
When his mouth and nose popped and jutted forward slightly, he felt the first inkling that something was amiss. No matter; it was likely just a strange part of the process.
"Aggh..." He grunted as his shirt and pants started to tighten. He felt his limbs creak and elongate while a deep, penetrating ache shot all the way from his torse down through his pelvis. Was he growing? This couldn't be right; he was already over six feet tall, and he was sure she'd end up far tinier as a magical girl. "S-- Something's wrong..." He groaned, wrapping his arms over his gut as he glanced at the ermine while profusely sweating.
"We appreciate your sacrifice! I promise you'll be a massive boon to our new magical girl; only worthy humans can undergo this transformation, and we understand it's quite the lifestyle change," Coco chimed, her tail gently flicking about.
"Lifestyle ch-- cheeuuugh!?" Ken's mouth popped and pushed further forward, his nose partially flattening. All the while, tufts of pure white fur sprouted all over his arms and legs. "Th-- thish isn't-- ishn't..." His back and hips suddenly convulsed, his shoulders broadening as his neck thickened. In a matter of seconds, he lost his balance and fell forward onto his hands and feet.
"This-- esshh! N-- Neuuugh!" He cried in panic, desperately attempting to stand. Much to his horror, the shape of his spine and hips no longer allowed for such luxury. Along with his elongating, thickening neck, Ken found himself entirely unable to stand. This wasn’t what he signed up for; he was supposed to become an adorable magical girl, dammit! Was this some kind of sick joke?
To make things worse, a glance downward put the sorry state of his hands on full display. He had been vaguely aware of the popping and quaking within his hands, but only just now noticed his fingers pulling together into darkened masses while his wrists quivered like jelly and took on a broader shape. The similar sensations in his feet likely meaht the metamorphosis progressed in his lower limbs.
A tall, muscular man with gray skin, curved horns and yellow eyes sat upon the edge of a rundown warehouse’s roof. He tapped his fingers and closed his eyes, sensing something amiss. He expected his precious dog to have no issues on its hunt, knowing very well that the AMU was too preoccupied and weakened to pose any real threat. However, a sudden pulse of radiant energy had him concerned.
“A magical girl?” He growled. That was impossible; Whimsical Whitney was defeated months ago, and had either died or gone into hiding. Not to mention, the magic signature was different; it definitely didn’t belong to her.
“Don’t worry, my pet… I am coming to help,” he said dangerously while standing to his feet. Shadows enveloped him and covered the ground around him. The energy swirled as inky, black tendrils extended from the ground and rhythmically squirmed in a manner akin to octopus tentacles.
“A new magical girl, huh? Let’s see how you fare against my abyssal tentacles,” he grinned, leaping from the building roof. Surely an inexperienced magical girl would pose no threat when she was bound and wrapped.
