Grace trembled, her breath becoming erratic as Arina nipped her neck. She gasped when Arina’s hand slid under her shirt, feeling the feisty woman’s delicate fingers brushing upon her sensitive flesh. “A-- Arina…” She stammered. A slight haze crept into her head, and she struggled to think straight. Her breasts tingled while pressed upon the bed, and it seemed Arina had cast the lotion aside.
“I-- I just want to be close to you…” Arina muttered in response. She buried her face against Grace’s neck and ran her fingers over Grace’s side while clutching her back.
Grace shivered under Arina’s touch and felt a pang of tingly heat between her legs as Arina’s warm breath coated her neck. The scent was utterly intoxicating; how was she supposed to remain coherent in such a state? She squirmed and gripped the sheet as her neck was nipped once more, and she felt warm fingers sliding toward the side of her breast. “Arina… What are you doing?” She meekly asked as she began to perspire. She became aware of a painful bruise on her lower back as she shifted awkwardly. Or, perhaps some kind of cyst? Before she could speak again, Arina leaned into her lips more forcefully, causing Grace to gasp and turn bright red beneath the nearly feral young woman’s affection. Should she tell her to stop? Did she want to?
Fueled by adrenaline, Arina’s rationality ebbed away, her actions becoming fervent and forceful. She very much wanted to rip the remaining clothing from Grace in a bid to taste and touch every square inch of her pale, trembling form. When she felt Grace’s sticky sweat, she felt arousal instead of revulsion; these fluids were part of the one she loved, and they carried a sweet, smokey fragrance that drove her mad. “Grace… You smell-- and taste incredible,” she said with a low growl, moving to strip her prospective mate.
Grace’s nipples hardened painfully while against the mattress, her sex dampening with unfettered sexual need. She couldn’t recall the last time her clit throbbed in anticipation or when her pussy ached with such profound emptiness. She felt like a prey animal caught in the clutches of a vicious predator. No, that wasn’t right; such an analogy carried negative connotations, and she certainly wouldn’t describe her predicament as negative or scary. Then, what? “Ahhh…” She blushed furiously as Arina placed a hand on the back of her knee and slowly pushed over her inner thigh. Time slowed for her as every heartbeat sounded intensely, ringing in her ears. Arina was acting so wild-- so primal. She initially saw the tan woman as gentle and somewhat meek, so this scenario starkly contrasted her preconceptions. From this position, lying on her stomach, she felt vulnerable.
Grace squirmed and gasped once more as Arina’s lips moved down her neck, kissing her nice and slow while her fingers slid up her thigh and stopped just shy of where her leg connected to her hip. “Arina…” She mumbled, trying to catch her breath as she buried her face into the pillow. She was mere inches away from her labia, and her sex quivered in anticipation.
Arina grabbed the hem of Grace’s shirt with her free hand and was about to rip it off when she suddenly froze, eyes wide.
Grace realized something was wrong in a few short moments. “Arina?” She asked cautiously, trying to ignore her mounting lust and confusion.
Arina pulled away and sat cross-legged, placing a shaky hand over her face. “I don’t want you to think this is me. I’m sorry,” she quietly stated, voice quivering.
Concern washed over Grace as she sat up. She noticed the familiar and unwanted slimy sweat but understood it wasn’t a good time to worry about matters outside her control. Her relationship with Arina was something she could make decisions in; she had autonomy when it came to her love life. “I don’t think you did anything wrong,” she promised, placing a hand on Arina’s shoulder. She wouldn’t admit it out loud, but a sizable part of her was disappointed when Arina stopped and pulled away.
Arina looked toward Grace with a sad expression and moist eyes. “I’m not normally so aggressive. I usually have more control,” she insisted as her cheeks turned rosy. “I basically forced myself on you. Even now, I…” She turned a deeper red before placing both hands over her face and shaking her head in embarrassment.
Grace didn’t doubt Arina’s confusion regarding her new, seemingly bestial needs. She also felt changes within herself, which she greeted with concern and trepidation. What could she do or say to help the woman she had fallen for? “If I hated it, I could have said no or pushed you away. You don’t think I’m helpless, do you?” She asked accusingly.
Arina’s hands dropped as she met Grace with a bashful look. “N-- No, of course not,” she promised with a shake of her head.
Grace smiled. “I really like you, Arina… A lot, I mean,” she insisted. “I’m going through changes as well. It’s nice to feel so wanted-- so desired. Maybe it’s selfish of me, but it’s reassuring to know I can cause you to feel such strong emotions.” Was it wrong to want to be the object of Arina’s desire? It wasn’t something she had experienced before.
Arina froze once more and simply stared at Grace. There were a few moments of awkward silence before she turned her eyes away. “Are you sure I’m not upsetting you in any way?”
Grace grunted and scooched closer to Arina. “Upsetting me?” She cupped Arina’s chin and leaned in quickly, pressing her lips deeply to hers. She heard Arina squeak and tremble before lovingly wrapping her arms around Grace, who felt great fulfillment at having coaxed such a reaction out of the woman she had so closely bonded with. She savored Arina’s warmth and scent, taking in all her positive attributes and committing them to memory.
When Grace eventually pulled away with a sly grin, Arina felt like a shy puppy once more, her tail stub wildly flicking. The aggression was momentarily halted in shock at Grace’s titillating advances. “Maybe you’re the feral beast,” she meekly teased as her heart rate raised and confidence slowly returned.
Grace laughed and then winced slightly when her tailbone throbbed again. She felt a dull headache brewing but could chalk that up to a lack of sleep and many other issues. For now, she’d repress her concerns over transforming and focus on her relationship with Arina. “Maybe you’re right. Let’s keep getting to know each other, okay? I want you to lean on me whenever you need support,” she insisted, considering her next step. How far should she push things right now? Did she want to? She was rapidly learning more about her own sexuality and wasn’t sure where to draw the line.
Arina smiled before slowly inhaling and exhaling, closing her eyes. “I-- just need a minute…” She fell onto her back with arms sprawled, Grace’s scent still assailing her nostrils and urging her toward aggressive action. ‘There’s plenty of time-- relax…’ She told herself. It was hard to keep her head on straight around Grace.
Grace oversaw Arina, examining her body language and absorbing as much information as possible. Despite how close they had become, much about Arina proved enigmatic. Phoebe’s concerning words came to mind, but she quickly discarded that thought. She trusted Arina; nothing would break the bond they had formed. It dawned on her that much of their bond was trauma-induced, but it mattered not. “Lay with me tonight,” she finally said.
Arina smiled and nodded before leaning over and resting her forehead against Grace’s shoulder. “Please… That would be amazing,” she murmured, clutching her dear companion’s shirt.
Grace wrapped her arms around Arina and flopped onto her side, cradling Arina’s head to her chest. She considered grabbing a blanket but was again made aware of her sweat when she felt the slightly viscous film on the bedding. She grew increasingly self-conscious and worried over her strange bodily functions and squirmed. Arina looked peaceful and unconcerned, with her eyes shut and her breathing calm. “Arina… Nothing about me upsets you, right?” She asked weakly, closing her eyes as she brushed her fingers through Arina’s hair.
“Mmmmm?” Arina opened one eye and glanced at Grace with a slight smile. “What about you could possibly bother me?” She genuinely asked.
Grace shifted her eyes away and clenched the bed sheets in her left hand. It was impossible not to experience periods of self-doubt when she had gone through so much. She was confident Arina genuinely had no issues with her, but insecurity was often an irrational emotion. “I just mean-- well…”
Arina brushed a hand over Grace’s cheek, peering up with warmth in her gaze. “Nothing about you bothers me,” she reiterated.
Grace blushed and nodded before clutching Arina closer. “I trust you.”
The two were silent, enjoying each other’s warmth as the minutes passed. Grace listened to Arina’s rhythmic breathing as she fell asleep against her, invoking a sense of zen. They still had much to explore, but she was confident they would continue pressing forward together. “Sleep well…” She murmured to her sleeping girlfriend as the throes of exhaustion took hold. Before long, both young women slept peacefully, cuddled against one another for warmth.
A man wearing a well-tailored, midnight blue suit stood in a sparsely furnished room, staring out a sprawling one-way window overlooking a casino floor. He glanced around as workers set up various machines and tables. “Perfect,” he muttered, a stern expression on his clean-shaven face.
“The Black Jack tables have been set, Mr. Seo!” Said a man in a black suit as he approached and offered a respectful bow.
“Excellent. And what of our special games?” The blue-suited man replied, lifting a finger to adjust the round, dark blue-tinted sunglasses adorning his face. Metal shielding surrounded the outside of each lens, preventing anyone from seeing his eyes.
“The last one is being prepared as we speak. We are on course for tomorrow.”
“Thank you, James,” Mr. Seo replied curtly but politely. “You are dismissed.” He exchanged pleasantries and watched his employee leave before sitting in a modernistic ball chair with blue velvet cushions lining the inside. A similarly modern and simplistic end table stood beside him with a bottle of soju waiting in reach. He let out a sigh as he poured the potent drink into a small cup and downed it before setting it down and crossing his arms as he continued to examine the progress of his new casino’s construction.
After growing bored, he decided it was time for a change of pace. “Change scene. Verdant manor,” he said loudly and clearly.
The large window immediately became many rows of virtual monitors, each displaying different portions of Verdant Manor, with a few overhead views showing the farmland outside. He raised his hand and made sweeping gestures, causing the virtual screens to move and rearrange. A few minutes passed as he checked on the contestants while occasionally yawning and refilling his soju cup.
After a short while of cycling through screens, he abruptly stopped and stared at one in particular, his look turning severe. A thin, pretty young woman sat alone in her room, playing both sides of a chess board. He sat in silence, simply observing as he tapped two fingers on the rim of his soju cup. “Eun…” He muttered as he watched Eun-ju meticulously go through each move with a look of complete focus.
Eventually, Eun-ju stopped her game and stood to undress, getting ready for bed. As soon as Mr. Seo saw Eun grab the hem of her shirt, he spoke a quick command. “Change scene. Window.”
In an instant, he was once again overlooking the workers scurrying to prepare for the next Mollusk Match game. He placed his hands behind his head and leaned back, staring at the ceiling through the dark lenses of his sunglasses. Tomorrow would prove busy, but Mr. Seo was confident in his ability to thrive in any environment, no matter how busy or frantic things got. If anything, it was hard for him to keep his eagerness repressed. ‘It’s finally my turn,’ he mused as he laced his fingers together, his lips curled into a slight smile. He had eagerly awaited his chance to lead and proctor one of these games.
He recalled a previous incarnation of Mollusk Match and scowled at how unprofessionally and chaotically it was handled. Now that he could more directly place his hand in the pot and influence the course of their little contest, he was sure he could keep things running smoothly.
A brief memory from a few days prior flitted through his mind. Yulia had come to him in confidentiality and personally asked for assistance. While he was already happy to help a dear friend, his eagerness only upon learning he’d be able to directly oppose a certain man.
Mr. Seo sighed when he received a call and placed a finger to his ear. “Hmm?” He listened to the words of one of his security personnel, and his eyes suddenly narrowed. “I see. I was just thinking about that one. Please send him in,” he responded with a hint of exasperation.
It was barely seconds later when the door opened, and a security escort led a tall, well-muscled man wearing a fine, deep red suit into the room. Midnight black fur coated his body, his head seemingly resembling a large hunting cat more than anything human. “My dearest Chul-nim! I am deeply honored that you took time from your busy schedule to see me,” Lucius stated dramatically before taking an exaggerated bow.
Mr. Seo maintained a scowl as he brushed a hand through his short, neatly trimmed black hair and returned his guest’s intense stare. “Just Chul or Mr. Seo, when are you addressing me?” he stated flatly.
“Oh, but you truly wound me, good sir!” Lucious comically gasped in response, his face contorting into a fang-lined grin. “You are a most revered friend of mine. I hoped you would think the same of me.”
“In what way do you wish to meddle with the upcoming game?” Mr. Seo asked, cutting right to the chase.
“It’s more than that. I have a business proposal for you that involves another resourceful partner and his resources. There’s much money to be made, my dear Chul-nim,” Lucious purred as he walked closer to Mr. Seo, his tail swaying with every step.
“No,” Chul plainly replied.
Lucious maintained a smile, having expected stubbornness from this one. “I assure you it’s an endeavor you wouldn’t wish to pass on.”
“It pains you, doesn’t it?” Chul asked as he crossed one leg over the other and leaned forward.
Lucious’ eyes narrowed, his smile nearly disappearing.
“Knowing you won’t be able to get your filthy hands into one of the Mollusk Match games, I mean,” Chul continued. “Are you truly so insecure?”
The atmosphere in the room grew tense as Lucious clenched his hand and flashed a dangerous look toward Chul. He wasn’t used to such blatant disrespect and dismissal, especially from one he saw as lesser than himself.
