Before too long, Gretchen arrived with a few bags and some food. She hugged Chris and sat beside him on the couch, making small talk. Chris immediately lit up when Gretchen arrived and was happy to get his mind off his inevitable fate for a few minutes.

"Yeah, David seems to be adjusting to his new body pretty well," Chris said with a slight smile, recalling his older brother's new appearance during the family call.
