Hello everybody!
Today we have the first half of the winner of our third story poll!
"Lucas gains access to a tome that can rewrite a person’s history and have those changes echo out into reality and forward to the present day. Soon though he learns that changing the past comes with unforeseen consequences, and the book is none too keen on letting him alter things he's already edited. Will he be able to set things right? Or will his nice normal life become ancient history?"
The delay on this one is the result of the word count getting away from me. This half alone in at 14455 words the second one is even bigger!
Don't want to wait five weeks for the second half? It's up on my Patreon right now! Go check it out!
It was fun to write something a little more conventionally dramatic again. These being early chapters, there's a lot of setup to be done, but I'm very excited for how it all plays out.
Honestly, this story actually took on quite a life of it's own. It's more apparent in the second half, but it diverged wildly from my initial plans. The original outline called for the protagonist to tg himself fairly early on, but taking the time out to focus on the protagonist adapting to his feminization ended up completely throwing off the pacing - it either happened too soon and stole all the focus, or it happened too late and felt like a distraction from the plot. I'll chock it down as another learning experience - If you're going to focus on a character's journey as the opposite sex, you really need to make it the focus.
The end result was, well, less tg than I'd like, and it all comes later than I'd like. I know that will come as a disappointment for some of you, but I hope you can still enjoy the story's other fine merits. I'll make it up to you in the next story, I promise!
Special thank you on this one to Sci, who also created this wonderful preview image, to Coth, Loonicy, and Po for being my second-fifth set of eyes, to the love of my life for everything they do, to all my patrons for their wonderful support, and to you for reading this! Thank you!
This is your last chance to vote in the current story poll! The results and the next round will be posted soon!
Remember, if you ever want to see how the next story is doing, or you just want to talk, feel free to come on by the discord! I love hearing from you! I'm also still doing my year of thing-a-day challenges and I'm always hungry for more prompts from the community!
Thank you again, and enjoy.
