There are lots of bromeliads in the world. From them, you get such things as pineapples and poison dart frogs.
OK, so poison dart frogs actually come from poison dart frog tadpoles. The tadpoles grow in the pools of water in the bromeliad's leaves. (And for those of you who don't understand about the birds and the bees, the tadpoles come from eggs that are laid and fertilized by the mommy and daddy poison dart frogs.)
But anyhow, so much for the diversion into other subjects. I think that that flower is kind of cool.
