Trust Machines: Don't Out Me

"That sister of mine!" Tammy complained to Kelli as they walked away from the school. "I can't believe she outed me to everyone!"

Kelli rolled her eyes.  "You already said that.  Several times.  Has anyone threatened to beat you up?  Have any friends snubbed you?  If they did, they're not real friends."

"No," Tammy admitted.  "But some of the boys are looking at me weird, and making snide comments."

"Is that all?  Who cares what the boys think, anyhow?"

"I wasn't ready to come out," she pouted.

"When would you have been ready?"

"I dunno... But it really should be my choice.  She even told my parents!"

"What happened?" Kelli asked.

"Well, Mom looked kinda hurt, and Dad just made some snide comment about not having to worry about me getting pregnant."

"So, your mom disowned you?" Kelli asked, knowing that she hadn't.

"No," Tammy said.  "She asked me why I didn't trust her, and gave me this weepy lecture about keeping secrets.  I swear, that woman has the whole guilt trip thing down pat."

Kelli giggled, then grabbed Tammy's hand.  She spun Kelli around, wrapped her in a hug, and gave her a toe curling kiss, ignoring all of the hoots and catcalls and suggestions that they get a room.  "I can think of one advantage of being out," she said breathlessly.

"Yeah," Tammy panted.  "Too bad we can't do this in school."

"Neither can the heteros," responded Kelli

"We should be able to.  First amendment, self expression, and all that!  You don't lose your rights when you go through the schoolhouse door!" Tammy pouted.

"I suppose we could tell them that.  Print up the Tinker v. Des Moines Supreme Court ruling.  Pass it out at school!  Give a copy to the principal!  Go before the school board!  Start a Go-Fund-Me and hire a lawyer!  Call the ACLU!  Start a revolution!"

They looked at each other and giggled.  "Naaaaaah," they said in unison.

"But I still have to get back at her," insisted Tammy.

"I have an idea," Kelli said, then whispered into Tammy's ear.  They both grinned and headed to the Venn Machines.

~~~~~~
Tammy and Kelli walked out of the Venn Machine and over to the mirror.
Tammy studied herself.  "Yep, I look a lot like sis.  Mom would know that I'm not Michele, though."
Kelli chuckled.  "You already resembled her, and you have half her genes.  You did a decent job of making me look like Linda.  Not perfect, but it should be good enough."
They walked toward the mall entrance, hand in hand.
The next day, pictures of Michele and Linda kissing were all over social media.
~~~~~~

"I can't believe you did that!" Michele said hotly.

"Did what?" Tammy asked with an air of wide-eyed innocence.

"You know what I'm talking about!  It's all over FaceBook!"

"I didn't post a single picture, sister dear," Tammy said with a smirk.

"That's how I know it was you!"

"I was just being respectful," Tammy said.  "I know how much it sucks to be outed."

~~~~~~
Tammy and Kelli met at the Venn Machine a bit before 9:00 PM.  "Got it?" Kelli asked.
Tammy grinned and held up her sister's torn and logo-free cheerleader's top, a t-shirt with a rather racy message, and an empty thread spool.  She went into the bathroom and came out wearing the shirt.
Kelli dropped a button into the machine and set it for sixteen hours.
Inside the machine, Kelli said, "A little taller," and chose the bubble that best matched Michele's height and build.  She showed the cheerleader top to the interface.  "She's wearing this."
Eventually, after some fiddling, she looked over the image on the interface.  Tammy was a reasonable twin of Michele, was wearing a cheerleader top without the school logo, and was holding a spool of thread that matched the logo.  She pressed the green circle.
After setting the top and thread aside, Tammy and Kelli venned each other into the slightly enhanced forms that they prefer to wear at school.
~~~~~~

That night, Tammy sewed the school logo on to the venned top with venned thread.  Once that was done, she swapped the top with her sister's real top.

The principal welcomed all of the students to the after lunch pep rally, gave a speech, and sent the cheerleaders out to the floor.

Michele jumped high with a grin on her face, pom-poms waving.

Her top turned into a t-shirt, and the school logo fell off.

Her shirt read, "OUT AND PROUD!"  Under that, it read, "I ❤" followed by a stylized image of breasts and a vulva.
