While at the gym, John decided it was time to turn on the charm. Climbing onto the treadmill beside a woman, he flashed what he thought was a suave grin. "Hey, pretty lady, need any tips on running? Because I can definitely teach you a thing or two."

She looked unimpressed, rolling her eyes and increasing her pace. Just then, an alarm sounded. "What's that?" John thought, frowning.

As he continued to run, he suddenly felt his chest tighten, but not from exertion. Looking down, he noticed his gym shirt stretching in unusual ways around his chest. Panicking, he looked up at the mirror in front of the treadmills. His chest was undeniably growing, shaping into breasts.

His eyes widened. "What the—?" His voice came out softer, higher-pitched. Glancing down at his arms, he saw his muscles thinning, becoming more slender. His hands looked daintier, more feminine.
Meanwhile, his waist was cinching in, emphasizing a now-curvaceous figure. His legs felt different, too—lighter, as if he had less muscle mass there, but more in the hips and thighs. His running shorts were now loose around his waist but tight around his newly curvaceous hips.

John's senses were on high alert, his disbelief making every detail hyper-vivid. He could feel the rubbery give of the treadmill under his now smaller, more dainty feet. Each stride seemed to be a whole new sensation; as his thighs became slimmer, they felt less powerful but somehow lighter, more nimble. He was acutely aware of how his body moved differently. With each step, his new chest bounced slightly, the feeling so foreign that it was distracting.

His arms, now slender and devoid of the muscle mass he was so used to, felt like they were cutting through the air more easily. Yet, they also felt vulnerable, less capable of exertion or defense. His torso was the most disconcerting, it felt like it was being pinched inward, reshaping into an hourglass figure.

His gaze flicked to the mirror in front of him again, almost hoping that what he saw wasn't real. But his reflection told no lies—his face was softening, losing its angularity, his jawline now more subtle, his lips plumper. His hair flowed like a river of newly grown locks, reaching down past his shoulders. Every feature screamed femininity.

Despite all of these shocking changes, nobody around him seemed to notice. Gym-goers continued lifting weights, running, cycling, all of them seemingly oblivious to the transformation happening in their midst. Even the treadmill seemed to adapt to him, its control panel looking larger and more distant from his now shorter frame.

The sensation of his clothing changing was the next surreal experience. His loose gym shirt tightened around his narrow waist and then lengthened, becoming more like a fitted tank top that hugged his now ample breasts. His baggy shorts morphed into something like yoga pants, clinging to his reshaped legs and accentuating his curvier hips. The fabric felt softer, lighter, as if it was designed for a different kind of body altogether—which, of course, it was.

Just as he stopped the treadmill, still struggling to comprehend his new reality, the woman he had awkwardly tried to flirt with earlier approached him. "Hey Chrissie, are we still on for smoothies after this?"

He looked at her, bewildered, his new voice almost inaudible as he answered, "Uh, sure."

And just like that, in a gym full of people, John ceased to exist. He was now Chrissie, and life seemed to go on as if nothing had changed, despite everything being irrevocably different.
