As the early morning sun began to peek over the horizon, the magic of Disney's theme park began to stir, with staff bustling about in a choreographed dance of their own, preparing for the day's arrivals. I woke with a start, a feeling of unease creeping in my chest, quickly brushed off as morning anxiety. My day started as it usually did, the monotony of the everyday blending into a single routine, a stark contrast to the excitement and enchantment that the park itself offered. It was a grueling day, my sour disposition drawing the ire of visitors and co-workers alike.

Just as my mood was nearing its nadir, a familiar face from under the sea grabbed me. A man in a Flounder costume scooped me up, his grin wide underneath the costume's head. He gave a playful squeeze before leading me towards the direction of another familiar crustacean figure. As I got closer, the sight of the man dressed as Sebastian the Crab greeted me with his usual joviality. He sang a twisted version of his song

The magic is never stronger,
In somebody else's spell.
Your turn to become a stranger,
That I can tell.
Just behold the charm around you,
Right here in my hand.
Such wonders I'll bestow on you,
You'll soon understand.

From the sea
From the sea
Darling, it's better
To become much smaller
Trust in me
Your form will shift in the moon's soft glow
Into a shape the sea does know
While I'm evokin'
Full time to transform
From the sea

Now your size is getting tinier,
As through my words you whirl.
No womb form is finer,
Now you're a girl.
And yet in this shape so fair,
Fate grants a sweeter share,
Day by day, as I chant these words,
You're Ariel with a head of red curls.

From the sea
From the sea
None can resist us,
Nor could dismiss us,
In this decree.
We shed the shape the land did mock,
Becoming Ariel, from the sea stock.
We find no troubles,
Life's like the bubbles,
From the sea
From the sea
With life now sweet here,
We feel the beat here,
In harmony.
Even as your form begins to sway,
You feel your chest begin to weigh.
You sense the spirit,
You've come to bear it,
From the sea

The flesh shifts smooth,
The voice turns soft,
Your heart skips a beat,
And thoughts aloft.
Your form, it changes,
Through magic's vast ranges,
The girl is the pearl of your soul.
(Yes)
Your head now crowned,
With locks of flame,
Your body is bound,
In this new game.
No need to fret,
You're in the net,
And oh, the magic will toll.

From the sea
From the sea
When the incantation,
Begins its formation,
It's a sight to see.
What did we have? A man so bland.
We've now got Ariel, with hair like strands.
Each curve appearing,
Each moment endearing,
From the sea.
Each sensation,
A new creation,
From the sea.
Each feeling telling,
Of a new dwelling,
That's why it's better,
Under the ether,
Yes, we're in luck here,
In this rebirth, clear,
From the sea.

His voice rose as she began to sing, a familiar tune taking on an alien timbre in this context, from the sea, from the sea". Each repetition seemed to push reality further away, the words now a spell weaving its magic around me. I could feel a tingling sensation beginning at my feet, crawling up my body like the ebb and flow of the ocean waves.

A brilliant light enveloped me, obscuring the world around me. My body began to change, reshaping and reforming in an intense, but not painful, transformation. I could feel my legs growing slimmer, more toned, my feet changing shape and size, the sensation of my clothes shifting, wrapping around me, reshaping into something different, something otherworldly. A tightness coiled around my waist, a sensation akin to the compression of a corset.

As the light dimmed, my new form was revealed. I looked down to see a shimmering, emerald green tail in place of my legs. My upper body was adorned with a purple seashell bikini top, and my fingers felt delicate and slender. My hair, once short and untamed, was now a cascade of vibrant, fiery red locks that flowed down to the small of my back. My reflection in a nearby mirror confirmed the impossible - I was Ariel, the beloved undersea princess.

From that moment forward, I was propelled into Ariel's life. Days in the park transformed from mundane to magical. I was ushered from one activity to the next, meeting children and posing for photos, my voice now a sweet soprano that echoed Ariel's lyrical tones. Strangely, I found that I could only respond in ways Ariel would, my previous cynical comments replaced with Ariel's enthusiastic and kind-hearted replies.

"Isn't it a beautiful day?" I would exclaim, the words springing from my lips unbidden even as I mentally groaned at the bright sunlight. "The human world, it's a mess!" I would chime in, referencing a line from Ariel's beloved songs when a child would mention something about the world beyond the park. Even my complaints about the heat would come out as, "Whew, it's hotter than King Triton's forge today!"

With every passing day, my transformation taught me valuable lessons in kindness and positivity, slowly but surely changing my perspective. No longer did I greet the day with cynicism and frustration, but with a newfound appreciation for the magic and joy that Disney's theme park brought to people's lives. As Ariel, I was able to experience a new life filled with optimism and enchantment, teaching me the true magic of the happiest place on earth.
