This is an alternate ending I wrote recently for this storyline, based on an idea I had for a "bad end" from early in the storyline. Since I haven't been able to expand on the main branch as much as I'd like, I thought I'd post this here as an ending point of sorts, albeit an abrupt one.

This in and of itself could probably be expanded on a bit, but it was written fairly quickly itself so it is what it is.
