In another place, in another time, as far from modern day Japan as one could get, another Wakana Gojou ran carefully stitched together yet another outfit. He was a little older, perhaps not much wiser, and lived in very different circumstances, although fortunate enough to be able to make a living with thread and needle just the same. Instead of a small apartment in Tokyo he lived in a sizable western-style house in a quiet village in a land that resembled Europe, but perhaps more closely resembled the fantasy anime that Marin adored and would perhaps one day cosplay a character from.
This Gojou however, was not concerning himself with a costume for a glamorous high school-aged model, but instead was tailoring an ordinary outfit for an ordinary innkeeper’s wife, although putting no less effort into it. He threaded the final few loops before putting it down with a smile, although his face would soon be creased again as the satisfaction of a job well done would soon be replaced with the realities of his job as this sleepy little village’s resident tailor.
“Alright, the payment for this should get me through the next couple of weeks.” He said to himself as he carefully folded it, completing the last of his current backlog. “...and I’m not sure what I’m going to do after that…”
Gojou sighed, looking at this fine work and attention to detail on an outfit that was sure to be appreciated by the innkeeper’s wife who would be wearing it, but would pay a fraction of what a wealthier patron would had he been charging this level of craftsmanship for a fancier dress to a city-dweller or noblewoman. He’d certainly get a lot of thanks for it, but thanks wouldn’t put food on the table, as he was eventually forced to admit.
He did too good of a job, some of his friends would half joke whenever he was unable to justify getting an extra drink at the tavern with them on his meagre earnings, on the rare occasion that they could drag him there in the first place. By making clothes that would last such a long time and be so respectable, he single-handedly reduced the demand for a tailor in the first place, as there weren’t many who needed a brand new bespoke outfit in such a small town that could typically do their own repairs should a small tear appear from their own carelessness.
Maybe it was time to consider moving to one of the larger nearby towns, Gojou thought very reluctantly, starting to tire of hoping for last minute calls or one of the wealthier residents deciding that they could use another dress just for showing off. But he was even more reluctant to move away from his comfortable and familiar home, as well as his retired grandfather who he had inherited his current home and workplace from, and to be honest he was not built for getting up and leaving to go live in some unfamiliar place all on his own, as his grandfather would politely put it.
Just as he was about to start seriously thinking the matter over, his thoughts were interrupted by a heavy series of knocks on the door, a beating so hearty it could be heard from the furthest corners of the old house and nearly sent him tumbling from his chair in surprise..
“Hellooooooo?” called a high pitched voice that seemed as enthusiastic as their knocking. “Anybody home?”
“If anybody’s home, hurry it up! It’s urgent!” Called a second, considerably quieter voice that made up for their lower volume with a commanding tone that had Gojou nearly jumping out of his seat.
“Yes, I’m coming! I’m on my way!” He shouted back, scrambling to his feet and sprinting down the hallway to where he threw open the door as if they would batter it down if he didn’t.
As it turned out, announcing their presence was the least surprising thing about the group. Gojou’s jaw fell open as he was speechless at what he saw, an absolutely unique and first-time experience for somebody who lived in such a sleepy out-of-the-way village in a province that had been totally peaceful for the entirety of Gojou’s life and then some.
There were a number of facts to take in from the group of three ladies who stood before him, facts that he sorted through in order of most to least delicacy were he to state them out loud. The first was that it was indeed an all-female group, not a man to be seen around them. The second was the fact that, to put it simply, none of them were human.
The one closest to him was an elf, with a stunning beauty that befit her race. She had long blonde hair with strange pink tips, and vivid pink eyes that were not a natural colour any pureblooded human could achieve. She had long, expressive ears that seemed to wiggle with excitement at him revealing himself, but it would be an understatement to say that she lacked an elf’s usual slender figure…
The second was a minotauress, towering over him and the elf at at least seven feet tall with black hair up in rather youthful pigtails that seemed to be dyed red on the insides that seemed at odds with her huge height and obvious musculature. She had thick, wide horns that protruded from the sides of her head, and he would eventually find that she had a thin cow-like tail sticking out of the back of her as well. However, it was neither her height, nor her horns, or even her thick muscles that took Gojou the most aback, but he’d get there after addressing the group’s third member.
The third was a race commonly found in the far east known as the oni and of an even more extreme height than the minotauress, her laid-back expression managing to balance out her naturally intimidating size. She seemed so easy-going that even the broad smile she gave that exposed her visibly large and sharp fang-like canines wasn’t enough to rattle him any more than the rest of her did. She had straight grey hair with thin lines of black through it, unclear if it was naturally caused by her blood or due to some sort of carefully applied hair dye. Based on the eccentric colours that all three had added to their hair, Gojou suspected it was dye after all, not that he’d know given that he’d met exactly zero of any of their races before.
“Mr. Gojou! It’s been, like, ages!” The elf said, throwing herself onto him without warning and promptly smothering him as he was forced to address the next major thing about the group of women: they were all extremely fat. The blonde elf with pink-tipped hair that matched her eyes was at least twice or more times as wide as Gojou, and likely weighed a good four times as much as him. Gojou knew that elves having a primarily vegetarian diet was just a stereotype, but this was far above and beyond any diet he knew.
Far from possessing the narrow, delicate body that the elves were known for, she was a veritable butterball, with arms that couldn’t possibly draw a bowstring without the string slapping against first the bulging arms themselves, then directly into the massive breasts that were a good twice the size of her head and sagged down onto her gut that itself was struggling under the irresistible force of gravity. She had a bulging second chin and cheeks so wide it took elf ears to exceed their width, and hips and an ass that could demolish any chair that was in Gojou’s house were she to sit down in any of them. Her thighs must have rubbed together with every single step of the journey from wherever she came from to his house, wobbling like jelly with each individual step.
The elf who currently had her arms wrapped around the incoherently stuttering Gojou however was just the appetiser. Perhaps the least fat, at least proportionately, was the minotauress. She was muscular enough that she managed to look built despite having her own heavy layer of blubber, lacking the obvious sag of dozens of pounds piled onto naturally skinny limbs, and carried herself well. She had a huge gut that was piled up into the overalls she was wearing, threatening that it might bulge out even further than the elf’s were it let loose. It seemed to dwarf her proportionately small breasts, those barely able to reach the size of her head and made to look diminutive relative to her frame despite their objectively large size. It was a testament to how muscular she must have been below the fat, given that her thick arms must have been doubled in width by her flab. Although she too had a thick second chin and flabby cheeks she had a heartier, stronger feeling rather than one who had completely devolved into softness, and her broad hips and chunky thighs matched this strong yet obese appearance. She turned slightly, and Gojou saw that her ass seemed even bigger than the elf’s, each cheek partially poking out of her mostly backless overalls the size of her armchair’s cushion.
The oni with grey hair seemed to be at the middle point between the two. She was incredibly tall yet lacked the natural musculature of the minotauress, although she was naturally stronger by virtue of her race and the demands of her height. While the elf seemed to spill outwards and the minotauress commanded particular length and depth to her belly and ass, everything seemed to go sideways for this oni. She was almost twice as wide as the minotauress and two thirds wider than the elf, with a smooth belly that didn’t seem to sag out too far, but commanded an enormous series of love handles that must have created one hell of a muffin top were she wearing something less revealing. Her broad smile seemed widened by the width of her face, and she too shared the bloated limbs of the others. She looked comfortable, both in her attitude and in how a grown human man could easily use her as a mattress and have room to spare.
It took Gojou a long time to process just how heavy the women were, particularly with how he was being sucked into the elf’s pleasant bulk as his brain worked overtime to catch up, but his pride as a tailor couldn’t stop him from gawking at the last part more than anything: these women were incredibly poorly dressed, and half-naked at that!
Gojou was well aware of the fact that most of the flesh pressed against him was bare, as the elf who had accosted him had barely any of it covered in the first place. When she finally relinquished her grip, he confirmed what he had seen in the moments between opening the door and her embracing him: she seemed to be wearing little more than an improvised bra and miniskirt, which themselves seemed to be little more than fabric wrapped around her enormous breasts and waist to preserve the bare minimum of her dignity. The oni seemed to be in a similar state of improvisation, with what seemed to be an entire dress wrapped around her chest and two coats turned into a loincloth, presumably under the logic that nobody would be brave enough to challenge her on the unusual fashion choice and almost total exposure.
Only the minotauress seemed to be wearing an article of clothing the way it was intended to be worn, which was the thick and obviously weathered pair of overalls she had squeezed herself into, and upon closer inspection, squeezed was just the word to use. The chest barely came up to cover her nipples, her decency further tested by the pressure of her gut, Gojou unsure how long the straps around her shoulder would last. The legs themselves were bulging and threatening to burst at the seams, and it was clear that these overalls were intended for a lighter woman, if only marginally.
“C-c-c-can I help you young ladies?” Gojou asked with a beet red face, trying to regain his composure as the elf cutely backed off, seemingly thinking nothing of her friendly embrace. “And, um, have we met before? Gojou is my name, but I, um, don’t recognise you.”
The group looked at each other with surprise.
“Huh? We finally get back and you’ve forgotten all about us” The minotauress said rather aggressively. “Is there something wrong with your head? Who the heck could forget Marin?”
“I agree! I’m sure I’d remember introducing myself to an elf… for one thing, she’s the, um, first one I’ve met…” Gojou said defensively
“We did get the right house, didn’t we?” The relaxed-looking oni suggested, but not sounding very concerned by it.
“He didn’t correct us on his name, did he? He must be a family member at the very least.” Came a fourth voice from an unknown place, Gojou looking around and trying to glance behind the group for an obscured fourth member. “Up here, human!”
Gojou looked up, but was still barely able to see the owner of the voice from on top of the oni’s shoulder.
“A fairy?” He guessed, able to see a rather flabby outline if he took a step back for a better view.
“Well at least he didn’t call me a pixie.” She said sarcastically. “So, human! We’re here to see mister Gojou, the tailor! Do you know him?”
“Um, that’s me, I’m mister Gojou, and I’m this village’s tailor.” He said awkwardly, the group looking around at each other.
“Hey, Nowa…” The elf presumably named Marin said. “How many years has it been exactly since we were last here?”
“Don’t ask me, I wasn’t keeping track.” Nowa responded defenisvely. “Can’t have been that long, right? Seira, do you remember?”
“Hmm… that’s a good question…” She took her time to think. “It has to have been at least ten years, right?”
“It’s been way longer than that!” The fairy yelled from her perch. “Humans age quickly, remember?”
“Don’t get upset at us, you didn’t mention that at all on the way here!” Nowa shot back. “I bet you totally forgot about it until just now too!”
“I-I-I d-did not!” The fairy stammered, obviously flustered.
“Huh? Mr. Gojou, were you always this handsome?” asked the tremendously obese elf who had turned her attention back to the poor befuddled man. “I remembered you being wrinklier the last time we met.”
“Yeah, you’re right, this has to be a different Gojou.” Nowa said, leaning over and squinting at him. “I’m pretty sure our guy was turning grey last time we were here. If it’s been, I dunno, twenty years, he’d be super duper wrinkly and his hair would be all white.”
“Unless he’s been dying his hair black and has an even better skin treatment than I do.” Seira chimed in. “Hey, human, if you do, can you share it with me?”
“There’s no way he’d have something like that!” the fairy shouted. “We came for a tailor, not beauty routines!”
“I’m totes down for both though!” Marin giggled, her ears wiggling.
“Um, ladies! I think you must be acquainted with my grandfather!” Gojou decided to call out before the group could bicker further. “
“Grandfather!?” Marin exclaimed. “Guys, I think it’s been longer than twenty years!”
“W-why don’t we just all go visit him and ask?” Gojou suggested. “And maybe after that, we could talk about your clothing situation…”
—
“I see, that must have been quite a pickle for young Wakana.” Gojou’s grandfather laughed as the group stood in his living room, the oni just barely able to avoid ducking her head. “I did know that the long-lived races have trouble keeping track of time.”
“I super seriously didn’t think it’d been that long!” Marin apologised, clapping her hands together and sending the rest of herself jiggling in the process. “It was just meant to be like, a quick ten year trip around the continent, in and out! I was like, no way it could be thirty whole years!”
“We did make sure to take our time and enjoy where we visited.” Seira said with a sleepy smile. “We’ll have to tell Gojou senior all about it.”
“More like you’re all just slow walkers.” The fairy said with a hmph, still perched on Seira’s shoulder, but Gojou had had time to get a good look at her since they arrived. She was, proportionately, perhaps the fattest of them all, particularly with how her blanket-like gut spilled out over her thick legs from her seated position. She was only about as tall as his head and had long light hair, but her shape might have been compared to an alternate Gojou as bowling ball shaped, her figure distinctly apple-like and round in all areas. He would have had serious trouble carrying her, and could tell that her gossamer-like wings were clearly not up for the task, hence her perpetually resting on a friend’s shoulder. She seemed to have a proud personality befitting the fey folk despite lacking their conventional beauty, and Gojou got the impression that she maintained this by having the others do. Like the others she wasn’t wearing proper clothes, instead having what seemed to be a handkerchief wrapped around her as an impromptu dress.
“I’d call you a slow flier, but you can’t even fly anymore.” Nowa shot back, the fairy turning red.
“I can still fly! I just need to use a particular spell first.”
“That makes it levitation, that’s different.” Nowa argued, the fairy gritting her teeth.
“Wakana, let me introduce you.” Gojou’s grandfather said, pointing at each member of the group in turn. “The lovely young elf here is Marin. Our minotauress is Nowa, our tallest friend is Seira, and our tiny guest prefers to call herself Juju, if I recall correctly.
“Well I’m glad you remember us, at least.” Juju sighed, crossing her arms and squashing her tiny chest. It seemed to have resisted growing as if to spite the rest of her body, lacking the pleasant roundness of Marin or Nowa’s huge breasts. Although they were objectively larger, it was only because there was so much fat on her frame that some of it inevitably had to end up piled onto her chest, making her seem pretty much flat in relative terms.
“He even remembers that you don’t want to use your real name in front of somebody you just met.” Seira grinned, Juju blushing, puffing up her cute, chubby cheeks..
“Fairies do not simply hand out their true names to every pedestrian they meet.” She said, turning her nose up at the concept. “I’ll tell him in twenty, no, thirty years!”
“She’ll tell you in a year or three, mister Gojou.” Seira said in a carefree tone. “She’s just a big softie, you’ll see.”
Gojou had been dead silent the whole time, much preferring to let the others do the talking.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you all.” was the best he could offer, feeling like they were looking down at him like a particularly interesting animal they had come across on the road. The group of course had no such intention, but when they had to literally lean down to look at him, they tended to give that sort of impression.
“He does kinda look like you.” Nowa said, sizing him up. “Now I wish I’d seen you again before you got older, I’d have an easier time comparing you. You humans seriously age quickly!”
“And it’s hard for a human like me to barely notice that thirty years has passed.” His grandfather seemed unconcerned by the differences between their races, treating it as an incidental point of conversation. “Last time you were around my son didn’t want to be in the same room as you because he was scared of such large ladies!”
“Hopefully your grandson is a little braver.” Nowa laughed. “Otherwise he’ll have trouble with everybody except for Marin and Juju!”
“Ah! I remember now!” Gojou exclaimed impulsively. “Grandfather, this is that group of adventurers you said you did tailoring work for when you were young!”
“This is them indeed!” His grandfather laughed. “Although they were quite skinny during my time. I suppose a lot does happen in thirty years!
“How rude! Do all humans of advanced age think they can get away with such carefree comments?” Juju huffed.
“What’s the matter? We’re totes fat. Like, super fat.” Marin shrugged, and the rest of the group nodded. “Although it’s only been like, the last ten or so years that we started to put on weight. It’s fine, it’ll only take like ten or so years to lose if we really wanna.”
“We went to the other end of the continent for work after it got peaceful here, but the action there started to dry up too.” Seira said, looking nonplussed by this. “So we started getting to places and eating a lot instead of fighting…”
“Hey, you make it sound like we aren’t still fighting all the time. We just did a big job on the way here!” Nowa protested. “It’s just that we aren’t balancing out the calories as much as we used to…”
“Wait, so you’re still active adventurers?” Gojou asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. “Being so, erm, large doesn’t get in the way?”
“We just kinda got used to it.” Marin shrugged. “Juju and I mostly use magic to support, so it’s okay if we’re a bit bigger and slower than we used to be. Nowa and Seira are so huge they barely notice it.”
“Having a little extra weight to throw around in a fight isn’t a bad thing.” Seira said, straightening up and nearly bumping her head on the ceiling, and the veritable wall of bulk that she demonstrated was hard to see as some sort of downside from Gojou’s perspective.
“I think I”ve gotten even stronger since I started having to lug all this around.” Nowa commented, holding up an arm and flexing it, her muscle visible even through her flabby bicep. “As long as I can do my job properly, it’s not a big deal, right?”
“We never should have put Marin on cooking duty.” Juju fumed, only self-conscious now that the subject had been brought up, particularly with little advantage to being tremendously overweight as a diminutive fairy. “That’s when everything went wrong!”
“Hey, you guys never complained about how much I cook before!” Marin said defensively, generally cooking enough for a group of eight and being absolutely packed with calories. “It’s been ten whole years and every time I ask if anybody else wants to cook they just say they can’t be bothered, so I can keep doing it!”
The group awkwardly shuffled their feet. It wasn’t like Marin’s cooking was bad, at least it wasn’t anymore, and the group were notoriously lazy when it came to certain chores…
“In any case!” Juju cleared her throat. “As you can see, due to our preferred eating habits, we’re in serious need of new clothes, preferably sooner rather than later. I don’t care if it’s the young or the old Gojou, as long as he gets us something to wear!”
“Just so you know, it’s Marin’s fault.” Nowa said quickly. “When we were outgrowing our last set of outfits, she was like, we’re going back to the other side of the continent now, and I want our new clothes to be made by Gojou! Don’t settle for second best! And look how we ended up.”
“Hey, I didn’t know how long it was gonna take!” Marin protested, ears wagging defensively.
“And then when we started to burst out of our clothes, you didn’t want to get replacements, you said we’d just hold on a little longer!” Nowa said, Seira giggling, making it obvious that she didn’t really mind.
“Juju backed me up on that! She said it’d be cheaper to wait anyway!”
“Juju’s a fairy, it’s not that important for her! She can wear a towel for all it matters!”
“Fashion is very important to me, you big cow!” Juju shouted.
“Well, you’d better get on with it, Wakana.” His grandfather laughed again. “Don’t worry, they don’t look like it, but they have deep pockets. You can use the highest quality materials around to make sure they were right to wait for you.”
“Him? We kinda came all this way for you, old man.” Nowa said, wishing there was a chair that she could sit in without completely crushing it. Marin had planted her fat ass on a sofa and was taking up most of it, but she and Seira were forced to stand in a house built for smaller races.
“Young Wakana is more than up for the task. He’s probably even better than I was at his age.” The greying man said proudly, Gojou glowing a little under such praise. “And should you be calling me old? If I recall correctly, you said you’ve all been around since my grandmother’s grandmother’s time.”
“Age is one thing, being old is relative” Juju stated, and the group all collectively nodded in agreement. There was no point in nitpicking it, particularly when it made Gojou’s head spin trying to see how these women who looked his age or younger were multitudes older.
“I trust Gojou junior!” Marin said helpfully, hopping up from the sofa she’d just put a deep recess in, her eyes glittering. “I get super good vibes from him!”
“Well, Marin’s vibes are always right, about half the time.” Seira said, and the rest of the group seemed to be content to let him try it.
“So, mind if we stay here while we’re in town?” Marin asked rather shamelessly. “We’d stay at the inn, but last time we were here they got super mad at us ‘cause Nowa and Seira were getting super drunk and they kinda cheaped out on their floorboards upstairs, and so one thing led to another and-”
“You don’t have to bring that up!” Nowa cut her off. “The point is, innkeepers have long memories. And it’d probably be easier if we were easy to reach, right?”
“Normally I’d say I don’t mind, but I don’t think this house is built for four young women to live in, let alone ones of your stature.” Gojou’s grandfather said, scratching his chin as he considered the small house he had chosen for his retirement.
“Um, you could stay at my house!” Gojou suggested, deciding to take initiative. “It was built to house a proper family, and it’s quite sturdy, so I think you’d be able to stay over no problem!”
“Gojou junior, you’re the best!” Marin hugged him again, once again smothering the poor young man…
–
“Don’t mind us…” Seira said as she turned sideways to fit through the doorframe of the entrance to Gojou’s house, her hips simply too wide to fit otherwise, ducking to avoid hitting her head in the process. The ducking motion would be repeated by Nowa, and turning to her side would be imitated by Marin, who just barely could have fit through walking normally, but had gotten into a habit of playing it safe. There was a loud thunk as the huge suitcase Seira was carrying hit the floor. Gojou wondered exactly what could be in there if not clothes, wondering exactly what trinkets and possessions could add up to such an obvious extreme weight. He heard another thunk, then a third as Nowa dragged in two more, enough large enough that he could have curled up inside with room to spare.
“Seira, can you take mine up first?” Marin asked. “I wanna redo my makeup and my stuff is in there.”
“I was gonna have to make two trips anyway.” Seira said breezily, heading up and returning to go back outside and take two more equally large trunks. What exactly was in there? It certainly wasn’t clothes, that was for sure. Perhaps it was merely the result of dozens of years of hoarding, Gojou speculated as he began to seriously worry about how his floorboards would hold up with not only three huge ladies and their bloated fairy, but also their oversized luggage.
Even the group settling in was, unsurprisingly, noisy. Gojou could hear every hefty thump as the group moved around above him, not to mention the heavy footsteps of Seira going up and down the stairs every few minutes in the first hour after they arrived. Less than an hour and a half after she’d first walked through the door, Seira ducked into Gojou’s workroom, where he was busy planning out their theoretical outfits.
“Hey Gojou, we’re out!” She said, with a slight red blush to her pale cheeks as she waved an empty bottle.
“Out of what?” He asked, startled up to his feet.
“Out of booze! This can’t be all the stuff you have, right?” She said, waving the bottle again for good measure. “Come on, tell us where you’re keeping the good stuff!”
“Um, how many bottles did you go through, exactly?”
“I dunno, four?” Her flat-cut hair tilted cutely along with the fat on her face sagging downwards as she moved her head in an innocent gesture.
“That was supposed to be enough to last me another month…” He said, mouth agape. He’d said for them to help themselves, but…
“Seriously? Gojou, you’re such a lightweight!” She giggled. “I wasn’t even done warming up! Don’t worry though
“Gojou, we’re out of food!” Marin barged in next, looking far more concerned. “You’ve got barely anything in here!”
“I had enough prepared for at least two weeks…” He said despondently. And here he thought he’d overstocked.
“Whaaaat? Gojou, are you trying to starve yourself? That’s not healthy!” Marin said, looking genuinely concerned. “We’re gonna have to do a shopping trip, pronto! Don’t worry about the cost, we’ll cover everything! Don’t worry Gojou, we’ll have you eating properly by the time this is over! Now hurry up, Juju is getting hungry, and you don’t want to see her when she’s hungry!”
Gojou had promised to do their measurements tomorrow, but now he was starting to think that for the safety of his household, he might need to work as quickly as possible…
–
The weeks in which the oversized adventurers were staying at Gojou’s house was nothing less than an experience, to put it lightly. The group ate, drank, and lived as if it were their last day on Earth, defined by a total lack of restraint that contrasted starkly with Gojou’s modest way of living. Every day they’d go out and buy enough food to kill a man, and then be complaining that they were running out by the end of it. There was always a fine scent coming from his kitchen, usually from Gojou deciding that he’d just do the job himself after seeing Marin’s over the top cooking.
This quickly endeared him to the group, who seemed to have deep enough pockets to fund their ostentatious lifestyle and were starting to be considered a significant economic windfall for the town alone, as long as it involved food or drink. They spent about as much time at the tavern as they did at Gojou’s house, the owner still split on whether the rambunctious group balanced out intimidating most of their regular customers with their over the top size and strength.
Measuring them had been easier and harder than Gojou expected. The women seemed to show no shame in front of him, stripping without even being asked and giggling and teasing him for his flustered reaction. The first problem Gojou ran into was the logistics of the task. Him not having a large enough measuring tape for even Marin was his first delay, followed by the realisation that he didn’t have enough materials for each woman’s outfits. He typically bought materials as he needed them and avoided building up too much of a surplus, but he had to make some significant orders for each of the group lest he present them with half an outfit. In the meantime he put together simple substitutes as he couldn’t bear to see them walking around in effective rags, stitching together oversized versions of outfits he had lying around that could just barely keep their decency. Although the women showed no shame at showing off their bodies, they seemed to appreciate the gesture and took to them well.
There wasn’t a minute of the waking day when he couldn’t hear some kind of noise from them as long as they were in the house, although thankfully enough the wheezing floorboards were thick enough that he could get proper sleep without having to listen to their snoring, even if he was often woken up by members of the group going downstairs for some midnight snacks.
But he could only be delayed by their antics for so long, and so, almost three weeks after their arrival and after significant delays due to playing gracious host, Gojou finally called them down to reveal their new clothes.
“Alright, so, who wants to-”
“Me, me! I wanna go first!”
“Marin can go first, otherwise she’ll be really annoying.” Nowa said, Marin practically hopping over to him, sending her gut flopping and her breasts threatening to bounce out of the bra he had insisted she at least wear while she waited. Each of the girls was wearing nothing more than bra and panties, eager to skip a step in the dressing process.
“For Marin, I decided to prioritise looks, comfort, and ease of wear without compromising on looks.” Gojou explained, his tone turning professional as he helped Marin slip into the soft, flowing dress that he had prepared for her. “It’s based on my research of the latest fashions from the capital, as well as traditional trends in elf fashion.”
Marin posed for herself in the mirror once her light green dress was on, a shoulderless dress with a tantalisingly short skirt that was as light as a feather and as comfortable as the back of any oversized bird Marin had ever ridden on. The exposed shoulders gave her a typically graceful elvish look despite the amount of ham they were showing off, thin straps keeping the dress up and her sleeves. The sleeves were baggy enough to allow even her bloated arms room to move within them, and the tiny skirt offered no obstructions: light enough to flutter cutely without exposing herself when she was in town, while staying out of the way during a fight. It was even loose enough that it didn’t compress her belly in any way, which bulged out to create a pleasant silhouette of pressing against it, but not pushing. It also, quite importantly, had ample cleavage and let her massive breasts breathe easily, forming a keyhole shape that one could have fit their entire arm into.
“I wuv it, Gojou!” She squealed, who darted backwards just in time as she twirled less than gracefully. “This feels just like I used to wear back in the forest before I became an adventurer! This is traditional elf-style silk, right?”
“Looks kinda flimsy.” Juju commented, ever a skeptic.
“Don’t worry, this type of silk is used by elves since it can hold up to any brush or branches it might get caught on.” Gojou explained. “Marin focuses on support, so it should be okay in the type of conditions she described to me.”
“Sounds about right!” she said, still showing off and allowing the others to admire her fluttering dress when Juju began to lose her patience.
“I’ll go next. If we let Marin dictate the pace, we’ll be here all day!” She huffed, the others politely hiding their smirks. It was clear as day that she was just jealous and wanted to try hers on sooner rather than later.
“Um, I’ll let Seira handle this…” He said bashfully, handing the tiny doll-sized dress to the oni whose giant fingers were used to helping Juju get her clothes on. Juju had been the most reluctant to trust Gojou, particularly after he’d mentioned that he had experience in working with doll’s clothes.
“Costumes for dolls might look good to taller races,” Juju understated smoothly, “Just because they’re about the right size, but the difference in craftsmanship is quite apparent to those who actually have to wear them! If you bring me doll’s clothes I’ll show you some fire magic in return!”
However, Juju was quickly won over when he showed off some of the work he’d done for a nobleman’s daughter; something that had been a bit of a passion project for him. He’d taken the job very seriously, and had crafted a miniature version of a dress that didn’t cut corners or use cheaper materials, managing to truly be a tiny version of a regular dress. With her blessing he’d created the outfit she was currently putting on, and it was the one he was most nervous about.
“Juju was the vaguest with her directions.” Gojou admitted. “As long as it’s suitably elegant, she said. I hope you don’t mind, but I asked your friends what you usually wear and the type of thing you like, and I made my best estimate. But, um, tell me if you don’t like it and I’ll come up with something else!”
Juju was silent as she inspected herself in the hand mirror Nowa held out before her, standing atop Gojou’s table. She had been given an extremely frilly dress, with multiple petticoats gently brushing her thighs, puffy shoulders, and a tall neck that made her cute face even rounder. It had something resembling a corset and its stitching for aesthetics, but comfortably held in her gut and shaped her body into slightly more of an hourglass.
“This one is based on fashions popular with the nobility at the moment.” Gojou said proudly, having had to go well out of his way to make sure his knowledge of fashion wasn’t as back water village as he himself was. “It might seem a little bulky, but with the materials I used, it should feel like you’re barely wearing anything at all despite the size, so it’s perfect for wearing while flying. Juju also avoids direct combat, so while it’s a little more fragile, it should hold up.” Gojou explained, Juju’s blush visible even on her tiny yet bloated face. Ignoring the fact that she was far too heavy for any natural flight was the extra bit of flattery she needed, and she had to fight to avoid twirling like Marin.
“Well, I suppose it’ll do.” She crossed her arms, trying her best to hide how pleased she was with it while the others discreetly flashed Gojou the thumbs up.. “Alright, let’s get a move on! Next!”
Next up was Nowa, who confidently stepped up to the plate.
“What, no frills?” She smirked as Gojou handed her a decidedly more practical garmet: A fresh pair of overalls and a thick short-sleeved shirt.
“I couldn’t help but take it to heart when you kept commenting that you were enjoying what you were already wearing.” Gojou mentioned. “So I thought I’d turn it into a more proper outfit.
The thick, hardy material was soft and comfortable on the inside, and sized such that Nowa wasn’t splitting the seams just cramming her legs into them. She also didn’t have half her ass cheeks sticking out, with the overalls coming up to her chest where, were she to wear them otherwise naked like she had been with her improvised pair, she would have had a healthy amount of cleavage without uncomfortably compressing her chest. The shirt she wore was of a similar state, worn unbuttoned enough to let her chest breathe freely like Marin’s. The sleeves were also short enough to show off her bulging muscles, something she was obviously proud of and enjoyed flaunting.
“It’s not fancy, but it’ll hold up in a scrap.” Nowa patted Gojou on the head proudly. “Good job, Gojou Junior!”
Finally was Seira, who seemed to be the least picky of the group. Something she could throw on without having to worry about it, she had stated. She claimed to be quite the fashionista along with Nowa when they weren’t adventuring, but for the party’s vanguard she could only afford to prioritise looks so much.
What Gojou presented to her was the slimmest of their outfits, if slim was a word that could be used in regards to these whale-like ladies. Seira easily slipped herself into a one-piece bodysuit that Gojou had prepared for her, although like the others she failed to button up the chest all the way. The result was a sleek black outfit that had multiple points for easy attachment of her armour
“You mentioned that you tend to throw your armour over whatever you’re alread wearing, so I tailored this around that concept.”
“Yep, seems good enough for me!” Seira smiled breezily, her easygoing attitude making Gojou feel like he could have presented the oni with a tiger-print loincloth and she’d have been happy.
“So… Any issues? Anything I can fix for you before you go?” Gojou asked, ready for them to come up with some nitpicks.
“Nope! Like I said, I wuv it!” Marin declared proudly, before practically leaping into his arms and smothering him. She gave him a deep kiss on the lips, leaving him powerless to resist for a good five seconds before he stared blankly off into the distance as she gave him another extra-strong hug before finally detaching.
“Huh? Gojou, you okay?” Marin looked concerned at the man currently in shock before her. “Did I squeeze too hard?”
“Oh, no, I just, um, wasn’t expecting it…” He stammered out. It felt like something he could really get used to…
“Oh, right, you haven’t met any elves before!” Marin exclaimed. “That’s a traditional elf thank-you!”
“Oh, I see.” Gojou mumbled. “You didn’t mean much by it…”
Marin’s eartips turned pink as she heard that. Perhaps she had put a little extra into that one for the cute young man… Normally the kisses didn’t last quite that long.
“Guess I’ll go next.” Nowa said, lifting Gojou off his feet, lifting him into the air, and giving him a kiss as well, this time on the cheek. She had a decent idea of human customs, and that going for the lips was a little more meaningful to them than many of the other races. Gojou felt himself sink into her body, suddenly wishing that the material was a little softer on the outside too.
She finally let him down, flashing a quick grin. “That one was a traditional minotaur thank-you. Juju, how about you?”
“I suppose if I must.” She said, chanting a quick spell of levitation while pointless flapping her wings for show as she flew over and gave him a quick peck on the lips. She immediately flushed red and flew back over to the table, where she turned away from him to hide her expression. “Just so you don’t get any funny ideas, that’s a traditional fairy thank-you as well!”
“I feel like I’m learning a lot about traditions today.” Gojou mumbled as Seira towered over him, deciding to crouch down instead for her hug, giving him a deep kiss on the other cheek.
“I didn’t know that was a traditional oni thank-you.” Nowa commented.
“It’s not! I just wanted to join in.” she grinned from ear to ear, before standing up again leaving Gojou’s entire line of sight blocked by her plush gut.
“Alright, alright!” Juju was far redder than Gojou, doing extremely poorly in this type of environment. “Let’s not get so far ahead of ourseves that we forget to actually pay the poor human!”
Seira winked and turned around, giving him a pleasant look at her similarly expansive ass as she went up the stairs, loud thunking behind her as she dragged down two of the huge trunks with her. She placed it down in front of Gojou and opened the lid, Gojou’s jaw dropping at the veritable mountain of gold coins within.
“That should cover it, right?” She said casually
“I hope so, it’s a pain to drag this much around with us.” Nowa commented, the group showing no sign of teasing him with this over the top payment.
“I-I can’t accept this!” Gojou forced out, the girls looking at each other.
“See, I told you that wouldn’t be enough.” Nowa chastised them, easily picking up the second trunk, opening it up, and pouring half of it into the suitcase where it nearly overflowed. “How’s that?”
Gojou was too overwhelmed to speak, and the group took this as confirmation. Gojou suddenly realised that this may have been why his grandfather could afford such a comfortable retirement. Perhaps moving to the capital wasn’t totally out of the question now…
“I-I’ll accept this as future payment for any repairs and subsequent commissions.” The professional side of Gojou stated, his human nature stopping him from clearing up that this was clearly too much. Next time they showed up, he could probably explain that this covered a lifetime of clothes in any shape and size they wanted, perhaps more than his lifetime…
“Great! ‘Cause we’ll be back soon.” Marin smiled. The party was always drowning in spoils, but good clothes were invaluable. “Oh, and by soon I mean really really soon, like a few months, not years!”
“We’ll be in the area for a while, things are starting to heat up a few towns over.” Nowa explained. “Plenty of work for us.”
“I did make these so that you should be able to grow into them.” Gojou clarified. “Surely a few months won’t be enough-”
“Oh, trust us, it will.” Marin assured him, as the group prepared to head out on their next adventure…
