“That’s right, Linky! Just put them over there in a stack, I’ll have you sort them later. Now, where’d I put that instrument…”

Link dropped yet another pile of tomes onto the table, transported from the enormous mess of assorted research materials that Purah had amassed during her time at Lookout Landing that was now being transported back to her lab in Hateno Village now that the Upheaval crisis had passed and things had returned to the comfortable status quo that Hyrule had briefly enjoyed after the defeat of Calamity Ganon.

Link looked back to Purah for instructions, about to open his mouth when he stopped himself. He could afford to wait a few more seconds, he thought to himself as Purah, having removed her coat, was currently bent over with her pencil skirt-clad ass stuck up in the air as she sorted through a box placed in front of

“You know, Linky…” Purah said, still shifting her bubble butt gently side to side as she was bent over with perfect form, her ass practically moulded into that skirt. “I just discovered something quite interesting about the Sheikah Guidance Stone that I hadn’t noticed before. Would you like to know what it is?”

Before Link could answer, Purah continued.

“It’s actually quite reflective. Think you’ve gotten a good enough look yet?”

Whether it was true or not, Purah straightened up and turned around to see Link completely unable to avoid looking guilty, and sighed.

“Oh, Linky.” She sighed, sounding distinctly annoyed. “You just can’t help yourself, can you? Isn’t accompanying the princess while she’s gathering local plants good enough for you?”

Purah’s hips rocked as she paced around him, and it probably didn’t help his case that she knew he was paying close attention.

“I was willing to let it slide the first few times, seeing as I’d just returned to being an adult and don’t mind a little flattery, but I think I’ve let it become a bad habit for you.” Purah admonished him, leaning against the door. “I certainly don’t think that the princess would approve. But you wouldn’t want me telling her, would you?”

Link shook his head vigorously.

“I didn’t think so. Let’s see, I’ve already had you do the heavy lifting around here while Symon is gone, so what else could I… ah!”

Purah’s face lit up deviously.

“Linky, if you like it so much, I’ll have you help me with a little experience I’ve been sitting on. I’m sure you’ll quite enjoy it…”

Purah wasn’t the cackling type, but Link was sure that if she had been, she would have been cackling away right now as she set something up on the lab’s Guidance Stone, a wellspring of Sheikah technology beyond merely mapping out the area.

“Alright, first of all, take your clothes off. Yes, all of them! Actually, keep the underwear.” Purah snapped her fingers, and Link stripped perhaps a little too easily. Link didn’t have much of a choice but to obey, and obediently followed Purah’s instructions and simply hoped that nobody else walked in right now.

“This one isn’t quite ready for the Pad just yet, just consider it a beta test. Hold out your hand over the machine like this…” Purah said, and Link began to realise that she was quite deliberately avoiding telling him what she was about to actually subject him to.

“Ready, Link?” Purah looked eager to start. “In three, two, go!”

A drop fell onto Link’s hand before he could get cold feet or wonder if it was healthy for it to make direct contact with his skin, a thought that crossed his mind as a blue light similar to when he was teleporting coursed up his arm starting from the back of his hand where it landed, connecting to his torso and spreading out in all four other directions.

The effects were immediate, and Purah’s eyes lit up as she rapidly scribbled as many notes as she could manage as Link gaped as his hand, which seemed to be noticeably shrinking. He held up his other hand to compare it, the digits smaller but rather slender.

For a second, Link thought that he was getting younger, and he was another recipient of Purah’s age-reversing experiments. But then he realised, the hand was smaller, but the fingers were still rather long and slender, as was the rapidly slimming wrist around it. If anything, it looked more like a woman’s hand, with long nails to match…

He turned with confusion towards Purah, whose eyes flickered rapidly back and forth between Link and her notes, offering no answers as a result.

He would be forced to glance back and forth between his body and the reflection in the machine, watching as his shoulders shrank inward, and his assumption that he was growing younger would be definitively disproven when he noticed that rather than getting shorter, he was actually gaining a couple of inches, putting him at what he guessed was about as tall as Purah if she weren’t wearing high heels.

His shoulders were about as wide as her too, and his arms, which lost any slight body hair he had as they slimmed down and lost his lean muscle to be left with soft, slim limbs, just like Purah’s, as he looked for something to compare them to to ground himself. His growing suspicions were almost confirmed as he shifted his stance in response to his hips broadening, his underwear growing distinctly tight around the back as his ass filled out, growing pert and round, a slight but noticeable jiggle as he nearly stumbled as his centre of gravity shifted. He turned around to see his reflection, and he’d recognise that ass anywhere, even if he didn’t want to admit it as his thighs turned curvy and plump to match.

He noticed a few blue sparkles from the crotch of his underwear, the exact same effect that he was familiar with upon the use of the Sheikah Slate’s teleportation feature. This too, was accompanied by an immediate sense of loss, and a very unfamiliar feeling to replace it.

“Pu-rah!” He gasped out, his voice cracking and turning high-pitched on the first syllable, then even higher on the second as she coughed, feeling soft, plump lips press against each other after the single word. Her chin thinned inward and his cheeks turned rounder, his nose turning short, narrow, and cute as her eyelashes shot outwards, causing her to flutter them as she blinked a few times to get used to them. She brushed white hair from her eyes as she felt long hair hit her back, her sandy brown hair losing all colour as he whipped around to stare into the machine’s cold black metal and see what was undeniably Purah’s face staring back at her.

“What did you do to me?” Link said, spinning back around.

“Well, you certainly don’t have my wits. That’s valuable data.” Purah noted down. “It’s quite obvious, isn’t it? My experiment was a success! Say hello to the new you, or rather, me! Well, mostly. You’re missing the-”

Link’s flat chest, the last of her masculinity, was robbed of her as two quite sizable mounds of flesh popped out, Link letting out a girly yelp and folding her arms over them. She might have only been a girl for a few seconds, but she’d already gained a sense of shame and embarrassment, another thing Purah wrote down.

“Allow me to explain, while we get you into something respectable.” Purah said, acting like turning Link into her identical twin was no big deal. She opened up her wardrobe and pulled out an identical copy of her current outfit, confirming Link’s suspicions that she had at least two or three of them. She also produced a bra, seizing Link from behind and now allowing the former man any chance of resisting embracing femininity. Not that she really minded, those things were heavy, she didn’t know how Purah did it.

“You see, when I restored myself to my current age, I saved my genetic template in the machine so that if anything ever went wrong, I could restore myself to this exact point. And then I started thinking, if I can overwrite my own body with an existing template, I could do somebody else’s, right?”

Purah explained as she styled Link’s hair, her vision starting to grow blurry as the last few changes settled in. Thankfully Purah provided some much needed glasses for her, in her usual eccentric frames.

“But why me?” Link asked, sounding rather helpless.

“Because I felt like it, and you deserved it.” Purah said rather authoritatively. “And don’t say that a few cases of male gaze make this disproportionate punishment, I still haven’t forgiven you for destroying weeks of work by ascending through the floor at Lookout Landing.”

“I told you that was a mistake anybody could have made.” She said weakly, finding that she sounded quite different to the real Purah without the forcefulness and confidence the researcher usually had. “Um, now that you’ve proven your hypothesis or whatever, you can turn me back, right?”

“Nope! I haven’t figured that part out yet.” Purah said cheerfully. “I’m sure it won’t take long once I’m back. Blame Symon, he just refused to be my test subject for some reason.”

“Wait, when you get back?” Link caught. “You didn’t tell me you were going anywhere.”

“That’s because I decided it just now.” Purah said smugly. “You see, I’ve really been needing a vacation, but I just haven’t had the chance. I’d be losing weeks of research, but now there’s two of me! I’ll just have you pick up the slack while I do a little touring of Hyrule.”

“You can’t just turn me into you and then leave me like this!” Link protested.

“Why not? I can already tell you’re just waiting for me to leave to get your hands all over yourself. Don’t worry, I won’t mind, it’s for science.” Purah smirked. “Don’t worry, I’ll leave full instructions on what to do…”

“Doctor Purah!” Josha, the young, nerdy Sheikah and Purah’s apprentice of sorts banged on the door to the lab, adjusting her glasses as she had a messy-looking notebook clutched between her arms. “Doctor Purah, could I have a moment of your time?”

“C-coming!”

There was the sound of banging and a girly yelp from behind the lab’s door, Josha slightly concerned as it sounded like somebody had fallen over.

“Are you okay in there, doctor?”

“Just fine! It’s just this heels- I mean, something just fell over! I didn’t trip or anything! I’d never do anything like that!”

“I didn’t insinuate anything of the sort…” Josha began to wonder if Purah wasn’t getting enough beauty sleep, although when the door swung open, Purah looked as beautiful as ever, if slightly dishevelled, absolutely looking like she’d just fallen over. Her top button was undone too, for some reason…

“W-what is it?” Link stammered, her attempts to not give the game away just making things worse.

“Um, I was hoping you could take a look at these calculations…”

Josha opened her notebook, and Link bent over and squinted at it. It may as well have been ancient runes to her, and she began to perspire before clearing her throat.

“Hmm, that all looks correct to me.” She said as confidently as she could. “See, I knew you could do it. In fact, you don’t need my help at all.”

“T-thank you, Doctor Purah!” Josha’s feeling that something was off was washed away by the elation of her praise.

“In fact, I think you could use a little independence. Try not asking me for help for, I don’t know, a few more weeks? I’ll tell you when I’m ready.” Link said brightly and quickly. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some very important research to attend to. Good luck!”

She slammed the door shut in her face before Josha could say anything, locking the door with a heavy thunk. Link exhaled deeply, her back sliding down the door until she landed on her plump ass that she’d been more than happy to explore in the week since Purah left, her destinations unknown and her responsibilities foisted onto Link.

Of course, a week wasn’t nearly enough for Link to feel ready to fill her shoes, even if she did literally fit into her high heels that she still wobbled around in, eager for more than one reason to take her clothes off. With any luck she could hole herself up in the lab and hold out until Purah came back, and hope that she could come up with enough excuses to keep anybody who tried to contact her away.

Of course, Link thought to herself as she hobbled to her feet to practice walking in heels a little more, that left her with very little to do to occupy her time. Sure, she was supposed to be taking over Purah’s research, but PUrah had given an explanation that only she herself could possibly understand, and Link had promptly given up and not touched it since the first day.

Still, with the prospect of nothing but a bunch of boring books to occupy her time, Link straightened her glasses and decided to give things another shot. To her surprise, this time it came surprisingly easily to her, despite being nigh-incomprehensible to her. In fact, before long she found herself taking notes and amending Purah’s existing ones, feeling that she’d missed some things the first time, or had relevant observations to add. Perhaps she’d inherited some of Purah’s smarts after all…

-

“I’m back!” The real Purah declared, a slight tan on her from her time spend lazing around on the beach at Lurelin, amongst other things. After three or so weeks of vacation, Purah had come back not out of guilt, but because she felt recharged and was starting to feel deprived of the intellectual rush of research. She’d left things to Link, but he was probably bumbling around and not producing anything of worth, besides perhaps keeping track of her own body. She was sure Link had spent plenty of time acquainting herself with that, but felt surprisingly blasé about it. It was for science, after all, and how could she blame him>

“Ah, good timing.” Link said, surprisingly calmly. She had a notepad in one hand, and seemed like she’d been in the middle of something. Purah had been expecting her to be on her hands and knees begging her to start working on a solution to change her back, but instead she seemed like she was in the middle of something. “I was hoping to get a second opinion on this.”

Link shoved the pad in her face, Purah immediately devoting her attention to it rather than Link’s odd behaviour.

“I don’t have anything to add to this.” Purah admitted. “It’s exactly like I’d have done it.”

“That confirms my hypothesis.” Link murmured, producing another notepad to write on. “Then it seems I’ve reached full productivity. I might have you go over my writings over the last three weeks and see if we can pin down the exact moment when my intellect caught up to your prodigious original.”

Purah paused for a moment, then spoke. “I see that this confirms that

“Personality assimilation?” Link interrupted her. “I believe that’s a strong word, but if we’re to go by your pre-me theories, correct. It appears that the mind follows the body, after a delay of up to seven to fourteen days. Or in other words, I’m quite smart now, as smart as you, hopefully. I’ll have to thank you for that.”

“Thank you?” Purah was slightly put off with how… herself her identical copy was. She cleared her throat, feeling like she needed to assert herself as the original. “Well, I’m sure that being me has been quite enjoyable for you, but now that I’m back I suppose I’ll start working on a way to-”

“Change me back? Oh, don’t worry, I figured out the theory and programmed it nine days ago.” Link said smugly, snapping her fingers for emphasis. “I could have changed back if I wanted to, were it not for the fact that it would leave us without a competent scientist to record the procedure.”

“Thanks for the consideration.” Purah said. “Um, well, so, now that I’m back, I suppose you’ll be wanting me to change you back? Or change yourself back, as I suppose the credit goes to you for the invention.”

“Oh no, it’s just as much yours. Even moreso, as you’re the original. Credit must go where credit is due.” Link said with a self-satisfied smile. “I merely completed your theory, you’d have figured it out in the same amount of time. Less, given I was likely still adjusting to your personality at the time. But more importantly, no.”

“No? What do you mean no?” Purah asked.

“I mean I have no intention of reverting to being Link.” Link said, slightly worryingly for the original Purah. “Perhaps eventually, yes, but just think of the loss of productivity! Imagine it, the two of us, working together! I’ve always wanted two of myself.”

I wanted two of myself. Not you, Linky.” Purah corrected her firmly. “You might be mostly me, but don’t get too far ahead of yourself. I know that being me is quite the treat, but I won’t have you forgetting your original self. For one thing, I’m sure you haven’t overlooked the serious ethical concerns with your continued existence as myself.”

“Oh, don’t worry about silly things like that. I’m fine with it, aren’t I?” Link brushed it aside. “I really don’t see what there is to complain about. I’m beautiful, a genius, did I mention beautiful?”

“Oh, this is quite serious.” Purah removed her glasses and rubbed her eyes for a moment. “I know exactly how wonderful it is to be me, which is exactly why I need to make sure you don’t enjoy it too much. The princess will be quite upset with me if I don’t return her knight to her as she left it.”

“I’m sure the princess will understand once we explain it to her.” Link said, but Purah stood firm. Or as firm as she could, because it was extremely hard to not fall for her own temptations.

“Alright, first question.” Purah decided to go straight into it. “Who is more attractive, myself, or the princess?”

For the first time since Purah had returned, Link looked stumped. She froze, shifted uncomfortably, and looked like she was devoting all of her mighty brownpower to the question. Eventually, she spoke, with extreme reluctance.

“Taking all subjective opinions into account, and all the data I have on the subject…” Link said slowly, and Purah found the way that she phrased it simply adorable. “In my opinion, I would say the princess. Just slightly.”

“Alright, there’s still Link in there.” Purah breathed a sigh of relief as Link blushed a little. “Fine, I’ll keep you this way for a while. But if the princess finds out, we’re changing you back right away and acting like you’ve only been me for a couple of hours, or we’ll never hear the end of it!”

Link looked very pleased with herself, and pleased with Purah too.

“By the way…” Link said deviously, running . “I’ve been running some experiments on myself, and I was hoping you could assist me in them…”

Purah started to wonder if it was time to consider being a little more humble, as Link squeezed her ass, and she started to decide whether to stop her or not…
