“...and so I got a little distracted.” Zelda laughed sheepishly, a bundle of herbs in her arms as she tried to explain to Link why she had been missing when he returned to the campsite.

“For over an hour?” He asked with his arms crossed, having clearly been quite worried about her.

“They had more than I thought, okay? Come on, they’re perfect for dinner.” Zelda thrust the bundle of plants she had picked up on her way back from the cave, trying to look like she had just gotten into one of her usual absentminded excursions.

Zelda found that faking her expression and emotions came naturally, and Link didn’t seem to suspect her at all. Annoyed certainly, but out of concern. But before Link had the chance to start setting up and cooking, Zelda decided to enact her plan. Although from the outside it seemed that she had totally transformed into her unmasked self, it was merely an elaborate illusion, and she could still feel her suit, and more importantly her mask. She was pretty sure she couldn’t actually eat like this, and attempting to do so would probably blow her cover.

“Say, Link…” Zelda said innocently. “There were some plants I really wanted to study in the Gerudo Highlands, do you think we could take a little detour? They should be in bloom this time of year and I don’t want to miss it.”

Link seemed to be less enthusiastic over her sudden proposal. “We should probably do it tomorrow. I’ve got this stew I wanted to-”

“Come on, the sun’s still out, let’s go!” Zelda pressed herself against him, holding up the Sheikah Slate. Before Link had time to protest the two were warped across Hyrule, Link giving her a dirty look as she smiled shamelessly.

“You know we can’t warp right back to the campsite, right?” Link looked pained at the loss of his utensils, half a day’s walk from the nearest shrine and now at the mercy of anything that stumbled onto them.

“We’re here now, aren’t we? No complaining, princess’s orders.” Zelda said pompously, leading the way and making a show of checking the map. She made deliberate slight detours and took winding roads, but was leading him directly towards the Yiga clan’s hideout, keeping him distracted by chatting at length about the local flora. The best lies had a grain of truth to them, and it was certainly true that Zelda had taken an interest in this region and its hardy plantlife. Perhaps when the two were between missions, they could go on a research trip for real.

But no matter how much Zelda kept him occupied with chatter, it was soon obvious that he recognised the area he was in, and was starting to get suspicious.

“We shouldn’t go much further than this, princess.” Link said quietly, the afternoon sun slowly starting to fade.

“Just a little further.” Zelda insisted, taking his hand and tugging him along until finally Link ground to a halt, Zelda nearly stumbling

“What’s wrong? We’re almost there.”

“Who are you, and what have you done with Zelda?” Link’s eyes narrowed, and his voice was filled with restrained anger. Zelda sighed, backing off and putting her hands on her hips as Link drew his sword.

“I was really hoping we’d at least get inside first. Guess that’s the hero of Hyrule for you.” Zelda shrugged, then raised her hand. On her cue, dozens of Yiga revealed themselves, encircling Link with weapons drawn. Link glanced around, and despite their numbers they shifted uncomfortably. Link had torn through their forces before, and only their supposed hostage was holding him back now.

“You really want to know? We’ll take you right to her.” Zelda said, undoing her disguise with a hidden look of relief under her mask at her return to form. Although Zelda felt a little guilty at upsetting Link, she felt a glowing sense of pride at how he gave her the same scornful gaze as all the others, totally unable to tell that his beloved princess was right before his eyes. Link was led into the lair, Zelda motioning for the others to keep their distance but otherwise enclose him.

“Tell me where she is or I’ll find her myself.” Link said once they came to a stop inside the hideout, Zelda dramatically throwing up her hands.

“As you wish.” She said, hesitating slightly before removing her mask and shaking her hair free of her hood. Link’s eyes widened in shock as Zelda smiled widely, seeing no guilt in her eyes at her current state.

“What’ve they done to you?” Link asked quietly, Zelda approaching him and gently brushing his cheek. “I promise I’ll get you out of this, no matter what.”

“There’s no room for traitors in the Yiga clan.” Zelda declared loudly, then leaned in and whispered into his ear in a tone that suggested this was all part of some elaborate scheme. “Link, do you trust me?”

Link softened for a moment. How could he not? He nodded ever so slightly.

“Good.” Zelda said softly, and placed the mask over his face, embracing him tightly while holding it firm. Link went stiff, able to recognise what was happening to him the moment the mask touched his skin, but Zelda had already guessed this and taken it into account. Normally he would have shoved her away and torn the mask off, his mental defences too strong for it to take effect, but he couldn’t possibly harm Zelda, and couldn’t muster the strength to break her grasp. He wriggled ineffectually, but in his confused mental state he was already weakening.

“Just trust me. I don’t want to be separated from you ever again.” Zelda continued to whisper in his ear, further confusing him and causing the magic to seep in. “You said you’d follow me wherever I went, didn’t you? Don’t think I’ll let you break your promises now. Don’t worry, we’ll both be fine.”

Zelda continued to murmur in his ear for the next few minutes until he finally went limp, the entire room having been on the edge of their seats watching Zelda placate her former hero. Finally, one of the most anxious couldn’t help but speak.

“Did it work?” He asked cautiously, Zelda backing away and smiling.

“Like a charm.” She confirmed, the room letting out an enormous collective sigh of relief. Zelda took charge, taking the now silent Link’s hand while motioning for the others to help her. “Could somebody show us to the ladies’ quarters? And somebody find me another mask, I feel naked without one…”

With most of the Yiga save for Zelda on the edge of their seat, Zelda led the unresponsive Link deeper into the mazelike lair, filled with hidden doors and winding passages that, thanks to her conditioning, she knew like the back of her hand. She took Link to a certain room that went largely unused these days, a room for performing rituals that had been deemed out of date by the techniques of the current Yiga, but still had its tools ready to go, a circle for casting magic prepared in time for their arrival . The Yiga women gathered around the circle, Link being placed down in the middle and stripped down to his underwear, the women blushing under their masks, even though it really shouldn’t have been that different of a sight to the skin-tight men’s uniforms. Zelda stayed by his side as they fetched a neatly folded uniform, placing it down next to her. While officially they were deferring to her judgement as the brains of this operation, it was clear that the Yiga clan still treated Link as a powder keg that could explode at any moment, and only Zelda was qualified to handle him.

For a moment, Zelda considered lifting the mask she had placed on Link to get one last look at his face before the ritual began. Her fingers brushed against the edges and lifted it ever so slightly, then stopped before she could so much as see his chin. Link looked better with it on, she decided, and in the odd way of the Yiga’s thinking, she felt to herself that there was no face more handsome than the painted symbol of the Yiga on a nice smooth white mask. However, that brief loss of contact was enough for Link to weakly raise his arm and place it on her arm, the Yiga women around her nearly jumping into the rafters at even that slight motion. Zelda sighed, motioning that they were safe. Sure, she was the mastermind and head of this operation, but must she really serve as a leader so soon after her induction? Zelda longed to be ordered around, yet here she was, calling the shots. She hoped that she wouldn’t have any other trouble shaking off her former role in the world once this was over.

Still, it was too little too late for Link, and she gently lifted his hand off her arm, holding his hand instead and leaning in towards his ear.

“Did you know?” Zelda said softly. “That the women of the Yiga clan hold the closest bonds of all? That’s perfect for the two of us, don’t you think?”

Link was unresponsive, and she whispered so quietly that even the sharp hearing of the other Yiga couldn’t overhear her.

“You promised to serve by my side forever, didn’t you?”

With that promise as fresh in his mind as the Yiga code flooding his mind, and held just as dearly in Zelda’s heart, it was time to begin.

Zelda began to unfold the Yiga bodysuit, lifting Link’s rather hardened calves and slowly sliding them into the legs of the suit, sliding it up past the knees before starting on his thighs. While nothing seemed unusual just yet, by the time she had unfolded the outfit up to the chest, it became obvious that this was quite clearly a bodysuit intended for a woman, with subtle differences across it in addition to its distinctly feminine shape. Putting on women’s clothes wasn’t exactly a new experience for Link, Zelda thought as she dressed him with a cheeky smile at the thought of how he had managed to fool the Gerudo simply by obscuring his face a little and dressing like a girl thanks to his androgynous appearance, but as appealing as the idea was, today’s goal wasn’t just to put on this bodysuit and tell everybody that he was one of the girls now, and to pay no attention to the bulge around the crotch. As androgynous as he was, Link was still more masculine than feminine, and it was hard to mistake him for a woman in skin-tight clothing.

However, as she slid it around his thighs, something strange began to happen. His thighs, hardened by his adventures across Hyrule and all the hills and mountains climbed, no longer seemed so chiselled. They were rather smooth, almost soft, and plumper than they had been a minute ago. She pulled the suit up around his hips, and for a moment, his flat ass and narrow hips left some creased pockets around the rubbery material, only for a few seconds later it to start filling out, his ass expanding outwards, rounding out, while his hips pushed outwards. In her curiosity Zelda couldn’t help but place one hand on one of Link’s pert cheeks and another on his hip, her hand being filled with soft, tender flesh until her hand had soo much butt she couldn’t wrap her fingers around it, a bubble butt that competed with even her own. Link’s hips too forced her hand outward until they were a smooth, pleasing curve, although attached to a most unfeminine waist. Finally, the bulge in the groin of his leggings began to shrink, Link groaning softly under the mask as he was left with a smooth fold, and just the slightest hint on a tight cameltoe. The groan started slow-pitched and rose by the end, almost as if to signify that there was no going back.

Starting to get excited, Zelda continued suiting Link up. His waist sank inwards as if compressed by a corset as the red material covered his belly, his abs turning smooth and toned. She fed his arms into the sleeves, his fingers becoming delicate even through the sturdy gloves while his biceps became thin and slender, his shoulders narrowing as if pushed together as she did up the top of the uniform. By this point Link could have passed for a flat-chested woman, his body thoroughly sculpted to Zelda’s desires by the enchanted outfit, who had flushed cheeks and a perverted expression on her face betraying how much she was enjoying this, regardless of her long-term plans for him. She did the uniform up to his neck, his chest’s pecs starting to visibly morph under the material and slowly push out the suit, two perky spheres giving him that final bit of femininity. Not too big, but just enough that if Zelda really wanted to, she could get a nice handful, or really bury her face into…

Zelda shook her head slightly, trying to keep her eyes on the prize. Although she had given Link a lovely female body almost identical to her own, there was still one last step. She carefully did up the hood, feeding his ponytail through the hole in the back and tugging on the horns on the sides of the hood to make sure the whole thing was nice and straight. With that complete, Link was just like her: utterly indistinguishable from the other women in the room save her his, no, her hair being the wrong colour. She and Zelda would really have to do something about dying that as soon as possible, it just wouldn’t do to stick out in any way.

With a fully transformed and feminine Link in her arms, Zelda realising she had been holding her upright with their masks almost close enough to touch, she found herself tensing up. There was no reason to doubt the Yiga mask would fail to teach Link the error of his ways just like it had for her, but would the new female Link truly understand what she had wanted for her? Before fear could grip her heart any longer, she felt Link begin to stir, the cute face underneath the mask regaining its focus.

“How do you feel, Link?” She asked carefully, on the edge of her seat.

“...Strange.” Link replied, her voice soft and cute, almost enough to make Zelda’s heart skip a beat. “Strange, but… right.”

“I knew it! I knew you’d understand, Link!” Zelda nearly cheered, hugging her tight as Link felt her brand new breasts squash against Zelda’s. The Yiga women who had helped prepare backed off a little, scratching the back of their heads and feeling like they were interrupting a tender moment with their presence.

“Of course I do.” Link laughed, the fuzzy feeling in her head starting to fade. “I was pretty shocked, but now I couldn’t thank you more for, well…”

“Kidnapping you?” Zelda said wryly, Link unsure of how to react. “Speaking as a former princess, I think it’s a good experience for everybody to have at least once.”

“Try telling that to anybody that Master Kouga might order us to abduct.” Link laughed, the same single-minded loyalty to the Yiga clan already fully instilled in her. “Actually, I think I’m going to have to apologise for my rudeness the last time we met…”

“I’m sure if you show your loyalty and pride as a Yiga, he’ll be gracious enough to forgive you.” Zelda said confidently. “After all, our greatest enemy is now part of our wonderful clan!”

“You are, right?” One of the women said nervously. “You aren’t thinking about doing any, you know, heroing or anything right now, are you? Habits are hard to break, and all…”

“I’m just another one of you now.” Link said resolutely. “I promise I’ll do everything in my power to undo all of the damage I inflicted upon the Yiga clan from my misguided actions!”

She bowed her head, the group starting to lighten up.

“Yeah, you’d better work twice as hard!” One said with renewed confidence. “We’re in a real mess for a while thanks to you! If the princess, I mean, if our compatriot hadn’t helped kidnap you, I don’t know what we’d do!”

“Sorry about that.” Link said sheepishly before turning to Zelda. “So, mind if I, uh, ask a quick question?”

“What might that be, Link?” Zelda asked innocently.

“Why a girl?” Link said, feeling up her new breasts, feeling jiggly even through the comfortably tight suit.

“Because this was the perfect chance for us to finally become equals.” Zelda explained, leaving out the part where she found Link a lot more attractive as a girl. “We’re certain to be assigned together as a team, and if you were still a man, I’m sure you’d still find a way to act like you’re my knight in shining armour, and that’s absolutely unacceptable behaviour for a Yiga!”

Link was forced to admit that she was right, although she wasn’t sure that being turned into a woman would make her any less protective of Zelda. Still, she felt rather vulnerable right now, and Zelda’s confidence made it easy to let her take charge of the situation.

“Besides,” Zelda grinned, Link somehow able to tell even through the mask. “I always wanted a twin sister.”

“I’d prefer to be more than just a sister.” Link said boldly, Zelda’s grin turning into a blush.

“W-Well, we’d better report in!” Zelda said, clearing her throat. “You have a formal apology to offer to Master Kouga, after all! And after that, it’ll be time for our first assignment! I was thinking we could travel around Hyrule for a bit, just like before, but this time for a noble cause!”

Link nodded happily, she and the rest of the group leaving the room to go announce that Zelda’s plan had been a huge success. She couldn’t wait to help conquer Hyrule and place it under the control of the Yiga clan! The only part she couldn’t figure out was how she was going to apologise for slaying Ganon…
