A glittery explosion rocked the streets of Tokyo, an inhuman figure crying out in pain as it was blown away by the display of fireworks. Despite being thrown dozens of metres, when it came crashing down and bounced several times along the pavement while various onlookers dived for cover, it took a mere few seconds for it to pick itself up, grimacing at the ones who had caused it.

"How did you find me so quickly!?" It demanded to know, using its long claw-like nails to pick out bits of debris from its hair as the smoke cleared, two girly figures in brightly coloured frilly outfits waiting for it, each striking dynamic poses as they stood down their foe. The figure too was revealed, a garish exaggeration of femininity with a figure that would make a fertility idol blush, an almost spherical set of gigantic breasts and ass cheeks that would turn off even the most enthusiastic lover of curves. It wore a hideous combination of pink accessories and a leopard-print dress squeezed across its figure and impossibly waspish waist, topped off with a tacky handbag and enormous high heels. As if to clear any remaining doubt that it wasn't human, its face was dominated by a gigantic pair of painted lips that dominated most of its face, while the rest of its features were obscured by long platinum blonde hair.

"It was easy enough to triangulate your appearances based on your patterns. You're much too predictable." Its opponent clad in bright yellow said smugly while standing next to her similarly saturated pink partner, adjusting a non-existent pair of glasses as she explained, a habit left over from her civilian form. The two's outfit consisted of a short-skirted dress that was primarily in their own colours with white accents to demonstrate some unity between them, with long gloves and boots. The two each had their own accessories, Yellow having a number of simple bangles while Pink had a number of ribbons tied across various parts of her body, doing up her almost glittering pink hair that hung down past her waist thanks to its voluminous bulk. Yellow had shorter yellow hair done up in a ponytail, but it was thick, fluffy, and made it clear that lots of hair was a magical girl staple.

"And besides, we can follow the stench of evil anywhere! Not to mention your awful perfume!" The slightly younger energetic pink girl declared, pointing dramatically at the monster. She hadn't been much help in finding the monster, but never missed an opportunity to display her heroism, eager to prove herself as the newest

"Let's clean this up before the rest of the team gets here!" Yellow said to Pink, who nodded in response and struck yet another pose.

"Kaleidoscope Pink!"

"Kaleidoscope Yellow!"

"Here to put an end to your crimes!" The two called out together, charging in to deal with the monster, which let out a cry of frustration and pulled a comically oversized tube of lipstick out of a bag far, far too small to carry it, twisting it to reveal the enchanted stick below.

"How dare you two harlots ruin my beautification project!" The monster screeched at them, swinging its lipstick tube wildly as the two closed in for hand to hand combat.

"Careful, that's what it used earlier to turn those people into bimbos!" Yellow warned, deftly dodging under the creature's clumsy swings. They had tracked the monster based on a series of attacks on makeup stores that left their customers giggling busty messes, Yellow using her impressive intellect to correctly guess which one it was going to next. Pink had been particularly impressed by how quickly she had figured it out, being considered the energetic airhead of the team thanks to her fresh-faced enthusiasm.

"No need to remind me!" Pink said as she used her enhanced strength and agility to leap over the tube and deliver a divekick straight to the monster's face, howling as it was knocked off-balance. Yellow followed up immediately, using a high-legged kick to disarm the monster before following up with a devastating series of blows that left the monster bruised and battered. The monster attempted to reach into its bag for another weapon, but a hard downward kick snapped its flimsy strap and caused it to fall to the ground before it could finish.

"It's over!" Yellow cried triumphantly as she leapt into the air to deliver a decisive final blow, realising her mistake too late as the monster's hideous lips curled into a smile.

"Bad luck, sweetie!" It bragged, slamming its platform heel down on its bag and causing an enormous cloud of cosmetic dust to burst from the punctured bag. Her kick cut short too late, Yellow landed in the dust without even landing a blow, Pink watching in horror as her figure distorted in the magic dust while the monster jumped away.

"Yellow! Are you alright?" Pink called from a distance, more concerned with the fate of her friend than chasing the monster, which stood back and watched smugly with its arms crossed beneath its enormous bust as the new Yellow was revealed to the world.

"Ooh... My head feels all, like, totes fuzzy..." Yellow groaned as she stumbled towards Pink, her voice noticeably higher pitched as her busty new figure was revealed, her magical powers doing little to protect her from being bimbofied just like all of the monster's other victims. Her petite chest had ballooned to a bouncing G-cup, her outfit now split into two halves, a belly-bearing top with a generous cleavage window and a miniskirt that barely contained her bubble butt, while her six inch heels left her unsteady on her feet. Her gloves had turned fingerless to reveal her long, painted yellow nails, and her face was nearly unrecognised. The intelligence had totally faded from her eyes, leaving her with a clueless look on her heavily made up face, puffy lips coated with yellow makeup while her thick eyelashes were thickened further with mascara and matching yellow eyeshadow. Her plain bangles were now coated with rhinestones, and two large hoop earrings hung from her freshly pierced ears. Her hair had burst out of its ponytail, and hung nearly to the ground in luxurious waves.

Kaleidoscope Yellow was, quite plainly, now a total bimbo. She stumbled into Pink's arms, still adjusting to her transformation as her friend looked on in shock.

"You fiend!" Pink called out angrily as she held her wobbly friend up, Yellow's bountiful chest smooshed against Pink's own flatness. "You've turned her all... jiggly!"

"I know, isn't she just adorable? This is the look of the summer, didn't you get the memo? Of course you wouldn't, flattie!" The monster called mockingly, invoking righteous anger in Pink as well as mild sensitivity over the fact that she preferred to think of herself as a late bloomer. "I'd tell you to hold still while I fix you too, but that friend of yours forced me to waste all of my product! Be a dear and wait here while I go home and restock, won't you?"

"No way! I'm gonna put a stop to you right here and now! Justice has no waiting line!" The indignant magical girl called, using all of her best rehearsed lines. Before she could leap into action, Yellow seemed to have regained her senses, although she was still looking particularly airheaded.

"I'm gonna, like, get you for this!" Yellow declared, pointing a long nail at the monster as she stepped in front of Pink. "Just 'cause I'm all like, wow, doesn't mean I'm not gonna kick your butt!"

Yellow attempted to leap into action, but instead of landing gracefully in front of the monster, she let out a girly eek as she nearly lost her balance from the combination of her high heels' poor balance and her chest bouncing furiously from the landing, the monster snickering as it waited for her to recover. Yellow pouted and dashed in again, her usual sprint reduced to a slow and girly jog as she closed in on the monster and ineffectually threw out slow and clumsy blows, her girly mannerisms turning a heavy punch to a slow lap. It was easy for the monster to avoid, and it responded with a blow that launched her back to Pink, who managed to catch her before she got hurt even more.

"I feel like I'm a total dummy now thanks to her! Like, this sucks!" Yellow whined, her usual composure gone as she looked more miffed than anything.

"Just stay here for now, okay?" Pink begged her, concerned that her friend might get seriously hurt in her current state.

"Yeah, you're right, I might, like, break a nail..." Yellow said, reluctantly giving in. "Like, go get her for me!"

"Just sit tight, I'll defeat them and turn you back in no time!" Pink declared with a confident smile. After all, all she had to do was destroy the monster, and then everybody who got affected by their powers would go right back to normal! That was just how these things worked, after all! With a brilliant shine, Pink conjured a heart-tipped wand, waving it to send a barrage of glittering orbs of light at her enemy, knocking it off balance as she closed in and began to beat it with wand itself, proving to be an able melee weapon as the now under equipped monster had little to defend itself with.

"Now for the finish! Sparking Pink Heart Shower!" Pink called, the monster now beaten to the point that there was no way it could dodge her strongest attack. With a mighty beam erupting from the staff, the monster was hit dead on, shimmering as it collapsed.

"But you could have been so pretty!" The monster shrieked as it hit the ground and burst into an explosion of light and confetti, Pink striking her victory pose before breathing a sigh of relief. She had been a magical girl for a couple of months now, and it never got any easier.

"Okay Yellow, you should be back to normal now!" She called, merrily skipping towards her partner so she could have a good laugh about how the brains of their group was briefly clearly its dumbest. Her cheerful expression slowly fell as she saw Yellow standing there, waving in congratulations.

"Wow, you were great out there!" Yellow smiled with her large, plump lips. "Too bad Red and Blue weren't hear to see you! Even Black would think you were, like, totally cool!"

"B-but what about you?" Pink stammered out.

"Oh, right!" Yellow seemed to have genuinely forgot about her predicament, being the airhead she now was. "Guess I'm, like, gonna have to get used to being all bouncy 'n stuff."

"But you were supposed to change back!" Pink protested, grabbing Yellow by the shoulders and shaking her frantically, sending her jiggling once again. "I beat the monster and everything! Wait, maybe I didn't! Or there's a second one, and we have to beat them too to-"

"Pink, you totally beat that monster and saved the day." Yellow said as calmly as she could in her valley-girl accent to Pink, who was nearly in tears.

"Then why aren't you going back to normal!?" Pink demanded.

"Well..." Yellow said reluctantly..."

--

"What do you mean that's now how it works!?" Momoko, aka Kaleidoscope Pink exclaimed back at the group's home base, almost slamming the table in shock. Aoi, aka Kaleidoscope Blue, sighed and crossed her arms. Around her stood the other members of their six-woman team, each wearing the same school uniform. Most were around sixteen or seventeen, with Aoi as the oldest at eighteen, and Pink being the youngest at sixteen. The group appeared to be an ordinary group of high schoolers, the magic of their transformations keeping their identities obscured from anybody who might see them or photograph them. In her civilian form, Momoko still had pink hair albeit in a duller shade, but wore it in neat pigtails with much more conservative ribbons.

"Unfortunately, while defeating a monster can cancel magic that’s still active, the individual effects remain unchanged. If you’re cursed, you’re stuck with it." Aoi said gently, the coolheaded older girl having decided to be the one to break the bad news to their newest member. Out of the total members Aoi was generally considered the leader thanks to her age and the fact that she had been a magical girl since she was fifteen. It was clear that this was a rough topic to explain for the first time, as Sakura, aka Kaleidoscope Green, had excused herself entirely to go tend to her flowers, leaving the others to handle the situation.

After the fight, it hadn’t been long before the rest of the team arrived to find the monster taken care of and Momoko desperate for help with the heavily bimbofied Yellow. The group had retreated to their home base: an out of the way traditional shrine that to the average visitor seemed somewhat rundown, but hid a pristine gathering place for the group safe from prying eyes or potential attacks on the inside past a magical barrier. It was here that the group was dealing with the reality of the situation, as Momoko quickly lost her temper.

"That can't possibly be right!" Momoko yelled, shaking in her school uniform with frustration. "We can't just leave Hotaru like this, can we? There must be something we can do!"

"You don't think we wouldn't have already if we could? Grow up. You’ve been watching too much anime if you think everything’ll just work out nice and neatly like that." Kuroko, aka Kaleidoscope Black said irritably, scowling at Momoko's naive assumption that they were simply holding out on her. The tall, raven-haired girl was distant at best, and Momoko had never been able to warm up to the cold girl. "Hotaru knew what she was getting into."

"Well I certainly didn't!" Momoko said angrily. "That seems like a pretty important thing to not tell me!"

"You think we'd be able to get any new members if the first thing we told them was that they might get transformed permanently?" Kuroko said cynically, the other members remaining silent. It was harsh, but true.

"But that's..." Momoko trailed off.

"Not fair? Life isn't fair." Kuroko said as if it was no big deal. "I don't cosy up to people like you for a reason. Never know how long you're going to last-"

"Kuroko, that's-" Aoi started, only to be cut off by Hotaru of all people.

"That's enough, Kuro!" Hotaru literally jumped in front of Momoko as if to literally defend her, pouting strongly at Kuroko. In her civilian form the damage from the bimbofication curse had been significantly reduced by comparison, but she was still a bimbo through and through. Previously a slender straight-As type, her enormous bust had made it through intact, and pushed out the chest of her partially unbuttoned blouse, leaving the last button before her lacy bra would be exposed straining to contain her. Her usually long skirt had been hiked up as far as it could go, and she was still coated in a healthy but less yellow coating of makeup, her yellow hair, usually duller than her magical girl form, having turned blonder to top it off. Hotaru turned to Momoko with a smile, patting their short girl on the head.

"Kuro's right, I, like, knew this was probably gonna happen someday." Hotaru smiled, having seemingly come to terms with her transformation. "I'm just glad I like, got to help everybody so much in the meantime!"

"You say that like it's all over!" Momoko sniffed, sensing the finality in Hotaru's voice. "You aren't gonna retire or something just because of this, are you?"

"She's probably going to have to." Akari, aka Kaleidoscope Red, pitched in. The tomboy of the group, the sporty redhead spoke freely and honestly. "Based on how you two said she was fighting out there. If she can't do her duties as a magical girl properly, retirement's probably the best option before she gets herself or anybody else hurt.

"Yeah, I'm like, a total ditz like this." Hotaru admitted. "Least I'm totes hot though! Cheer up Momo it’s not like I’m dying!"

"But you can't retire just like that..." Momoko said despondently, Aoi sighing.

"It happens to most magical girls. Where do you think all of the old members went?" Aoi pointed out, Momoko's eyes widening. The magical girls that defended the city had always had a rotating roster, the team composition tending to vary wildly from year to year. The average citizen barely noticed, but Momoko had been a real magical girl fanatic, keeping track of each member coming and going before she was finally recruited by Hotaru herself. Now that she thought about it, the other team members had always been pretty vague about exactly what happened to all of them, and their senior magical girls who recruited them in turn...

"I thought they retired to pursue love and life and ordinary happiness, and that sort of thing." Momoko said weakly.

"Nope, they usually just get transformed by this and that until they can't fight anymore." Akari said, keeping her tone casual despite the grim topic. "How bad they get it depends on who they're fighting and sometimes how long they keep going. But it's a risk we all choose to take to defend the world. Just so you know, I didn't like keeping it a secret from you, but I wasn't the one who got to choose. Besides, you never asked."

"But that's awful!" Momoko pointed out. "All we're trying to do is keep everybody safe, and that's what happens? One bad day and that's it?"

"Not always. Sometimes you just get transformed a little." Akari said, turning her head to the so-far quietest member in the room. "Isn't that right, Yui?"

"Huh?" The last member of the group, Kaleidoscope Orange, finally looked up from her phone that she had been tapping away at for several minutes. Dressed in a loose, casual version of the school uniform with an orange hoodie thrown over it and thick leg-warmers, it was obvious even without them that Yui belonged to the gyaru subculture, with her tanned skin and dyed blonde hair that nonetheless turned orange when she transformed. The bustiest member of the group before Hotaru's bimbofication, the D-cup gyaru was the group's fashionista and tended to have a laid-back, unconcerned attitude towards life. "Sorry, I was texting the gals. What were we talking about? Oh, right, getting turned into stuff. Yeah, that happened to me."

"How'd you get changed?" Momoko said, her curiosity piqued. Yui simply shrugged.

"Had a run-in with a gyaru monster. Used to be little-miss-student-council-president who followed all the rules and that kinda junk." Yui let out an overly pleased grin. "Life's been way more fun since then! Didja know I used to wear glasses like a total nerd? Well, I still do at home when I actually remember to do my homework, but that doesn’t count. And for the record, Hotaru, you're way cute now, totally wish I had those boobs."

“Wow, thanks! You gotta show me how you do your makeup, though!” Hotaru giggled while Momoko was taken aback, unable to picture a more straight-laced Yui. A thought then occurred to her.

"So wait, if you don't get changed back, what about all the victims?" Momoko raised the obvious problem. "Surely everybody would know about it if a bunch of people got changed once a week and never changed back?"

"It's not like beating the monster doesn't do anything at all." Aoi explained. "Once they're out of the picture, since we can't fix the changes altogether, they're made retroactive so that for them, it's normal now. You just didn't notice before because you weren't immune to the spell before you were a magical girl."

"Yeah, it's way weird." Yui chimed in. "I get home after the fight and I've got like, twice as many friends and my mom's nagging me that my grades suck. You kinda know how things are supposed to be now, but it's still weird."

Hotaru giggled. "Yeah, my grades suuuuck now, I can already tell."

"That's not funny." Momoko was indignant at the casual way everybody was taking this, but Aoi took the opportunity to step in.

"Well, let me ask you this." Aoi said to Momoko. "Now that you know, are you quitting? And would you have quit if we told you from the start"

"No way!" Momoko said without hesitation. "Even if something bad's gonna happen to me someday, it's my job to protect everybody!"

"That's how everybody here feels." Akari smiled, the rest of the group nodding. "After all, if we don't stop them, it's going to happen to everybody instead of just us."

"I don't, like, regret it." Hotaru declared, her chest jiggling a little as she puffed herself up. "Still, I'm probably gonna have to like, give up the magical girl thing. I don't wanna weigh you girls down or whatever."

"That's my recommendation as well." Aoi said, it being clear in her eyes that she had seen this many times before. "Pushing yourself just means you'll get changed again later."

"Gonna miss you, Hotaru." Akari said, trying to keep an optimistic attitude up. "Least you're gonna be popular now, right?"

"You were a good fighter, so you'd better leave now before you tarnish your reputation. We'll pick up the slack." Kuroko said, this being high praise by her standards.

"Well, that's that." Hotaru said simply, skipping towards the exit, clearly not wanting to bring the mood down even further. "I'll see all of you at school tomorrow!"

And with that, the career of Kaleidoscope Yellow was brought to an unceremonious end. Momoko wasn't happy, but felt renewed vigour to avoid this happening ever again. Momoko waited for a minute, then turned to the rest of the group.

“I’ll forgive you this one time, because Hotaru wants it.” She said with a determined look on her face. “But no more secrets, okay? We’re supposed to be a team!”

“No more secrets.” Aoi agreed. “But keep yourself safe, okay?”

“No problem!” Momoko said confidently, at least on the outside...
