“Does this make my butt look big?” Samus asked one of her besties, gyrating her hips as Daisy inspected the denim shorts.
“Yeah, they do.”
“Great!” Samus gave her a quick high-five. “I know what I’m wearing today!”
“Those look cute, Jessie.” Ashley said, having finally pulled herself out from under the blankets she had thrown over herself the previous night, having spent most of the morning sprawled out on the end of the bed. The group had woken up the night after Samus’ Harem Hotel season finale party wherever they had passed out, and while Cassie had managed to get the sofa to herself, the rest of the girls had snuggled up in or on top of Samus’ bed. Samus herself had woken up with her face in Daisy’s cleavage, and so the two of them were the first to start preparing for the day. When she first bought the apartment Samus still would have been concerned about them finding some sign of her secret life as Samus Aran, but by now those traces were few and far between.
“Okay, I’m gonna go take a shower.” Samus said, grabbing a boob tube for her top half as Daisy searched through the apartment littered with snack wrappers and discarded clothes for her own. “Gotta make sure this hot bod is presentable.”
Samus put some extra sway into her hips that had made her the talk of the town on her way to the bathroom, at least the talk of the club. She was now in possession of one of the sexiest figures in the colony and she was determined to flaunt it. Her wardrobe had gotten noticeably skimpier since the operation, Samus preferring short-shorts to demonstrate her luscious thighs, and now that her hardened abs had softened into merely toned from lack of exercise, her belly was usually plain for all to see along with her slender waist. Samus figured she’d tone it down later once the novelty wore off, but for now baggy was out and tight was in.
Achieving an idealised body had done wonders for her confidence, which had already been pretty high save for a few insecurities which already seemed like distant memories. Plus, she thought to herself as she began to run the hot water and apply the first of the many products required to keep her beautiful curls in tip top shape, the more distance she put between her and Samus Aran the better, as her notoriety as one of the colony’s hottest chicks grew.
“Jessiiiiieeee!” Ashley whined as she pounded on the bathroom door, a line of impatient women with serious bed hair forming behind her. “You’ve been in there foreverrrrrrr!”
“I need my girl time, okay?” Samus yelled back, still halfway through washing her hair. “Do you want me to look like a caveman?”
“This is why you’re always late!” Ashley complained hypocritically. Sure, Samus had gone from always the first on the scene to usually the latest due to her meticulous morning routine, but Ashley was still competing with her for the slot of slowest girl. “Just get your face done like Krissi already, gawd!”
Ashley did have a point, Samus mused as she finally climbed out of the shower, ready to tame her dripping mane that was starting to reach down to her lower back with her industrial-strength hairdryer. Last week Krissi had been proud to debut her latest face splice, which gave her much cuter eyebrows and a rounder, cuter jaw, but also made her lips a naturally deeper shade of red and darkened the pigment around her eyes, allowing her to get out of bed looking like she had half her makeup done already. Not that it stopped her from spending roughly the same amount of time anyway, making Samus question why she got it in the first place.
She wondered if she should consider it. She was still very apprehensive about serious facial reconstruction, figuring she was pretty enough on her own to go without it. Still, she had already done her lips and eyelashes, so it would be more like a very advanced makeup routine. Maybe she could straighten out some of the uglier patches of her skin while she was at it. It wasn’t real face splicing, she was just saving herself some time in the morning like Ashley said.
“Let me in already!” Ashley fruitlessly tugged on the door, desperate to fix her hair. “You, like, aren’t the only one in this apartment! Think of the rest of us!”
“Who says you get to go in next?” Daisy grabbed Ashley’s hand and took it off of the door handle. “I’ve been at your place before and girl, you are even worse! The colony’s gonna run out of water by the time you two’re done.”
“Daisy, you traitor!” Ashley cried.
“Maybe we can all go in at once?” Krissi suggested with a yawn, having the least on the line due to her hair being treated to naturally be as presentable as possible after rough treatment. “Jessie’s shower is pretty big. And she’s got a tub!”
“The steam’ll ruin my makeup!” Samus shot back, still teasing her hair back into its curls.
“Then just do it out here!” Cassie finally pitched in, having previously been preoccupied with maintaining her social media accounts on her phone and making sure her followers knew her opinion on the finale and had exclusive details on how Jessie and her had gotten drunk and started making out in a re-enactment of the climactic scene while Daisy recorded it, but it was okay with her boyfriend because she had assured him that she was only 20% into girls and she was pretty sure Jessie didn’t remember it.
The catfight escalated over who had first dibs on the bathroom after Samus had finally had it up to here with those catty bitches. She nearly wiped out Daisy and Ashley as she kicked the door open, her tits hanging out of her towel with one hand still on her hair dryer.
“Okay, that’s it, everybody in! No buts!” Samus scooped up the four girls in a big hug, squished them together while they ineffectually protested, shoved them into the shower cubicle, and turned up the heat.
“We’re going to the beach first today, okay? So there, no makeup for anybody!”
“Can I at least do my-” Cassie started.
“No makeup!”
--
“Wow Jessie, that dress is so cute!” Krissi complimented Samus, who gave a quick twirl to send the frilly pink skirt flowing on their jewelry shopping trip. Samus had decided to go for something a little looser today, since it had been a few weeks since her treatment and the excitement was dying down, and what better way to show off her feminine side than with a pink dress? Maybe it was just the way her thighs rubbed together, but she was really starting to get the appeal of a little wind between the legs.
“What’s the brand? I might get one.” Daisy asked. “You were right, barely anything fits now.”
Daisy gestured towards her plump hips and almost head-sized boobs, having recently decided that she needed a boost to keep up. Not quite as big as Samus, but she looked proportionally bigger thanks to her shorter stature, being nearly a head smaller than Samus. She had been confident that she’d still be able to slip into most of her clothes, but her shirt was just about to give up the ghost and even her stretchy pants were pushed out far enough to show the crack of her ass. She had also made her lips a bit plumper, and the group had just finished discussing how they were going to hit up the cosmetics department next.
“It’s Le Blank, right?” Krissi guessed.
“Le Blanche, actually.” Samus proudly displayed her knowledge, having swung by her favourite boutique on the way over to their outing to check out the latest Le Blanche releases, having marked her calendar for their newest line to come into stock. When Samus shopped she usually was sure to only buy what she was going to wear, unlike Ashley and Krissi who bought whatever they liked willy-nilly, but every now and then she just couldn’t help herself from snapping up that cute dress just in case she needed it later. She had worn today’s dress on impulse, and based on the positive reception it had paid off.
She usually had a healthy bag by the end of any shopping trip, and each time she battled with the feeling that she was going a little overboard, particularly since her justification that her closet needed replacing since her operation had long worn thin. Samus told her to cool it off before her already overstrained storage space burst, but it just wouldn’t be Jessie if she showed more self-restraint and was anything less than completely up to date.
--
“Pass it here!” Samus called, deftly leaping into the air and spiking the volleyball straight into the sand. It was the most exercise she had done since she got there, but she still had it! The ball came to a stop well before her breasts did, nearly as big as the ball itself.
“6-9!” Cassie called, the judge of the game watching from the sidelines sucking on a popsicle. The only reason why it was so close in the first place was because Samus was going easy on them, usually because Daisy was terrible at volleyball and could barely get the ball over the net. That and the two points that Samus had lost because she severely misjudged her center of gravity in motion and falling flat on her face, making the mistake of moving like she used to when she was a chestless stump.
“I, like, want Jessie on my team next time!” Krissi complained as it wrapped up, the game turning out to be unsurprisingly extremely one-sided after she had been placed on Daisy’s team to balance out her tiny legs. Ashley was a more gracious loser, sweating like a pig and just eager to get under a parasol and eat some ice cream, woefully out of shape. Samus simply shrugged. It wasn’t like the actual game mattered, it was more just an excuse to show off some bouncing tits and ass for the boys on the beach, and judging by how many were approaching them it had worked.
By now Samus had built up a healthy tan, her lightly bronzed skin keeping up with the mixture of natural and unnatural tones of her friends. She still had some tanlines though, and wondered if it was worth doing some naked sunbathing or if it was just faster and easier to just get a cheap treatment at the clinic like Ashley had. In fact, she decided that she’d do just that. It was extremely cheap compared to her figure overhaul, and she was pretty sure that the boys thought that the rectangular pale spot over her nipples looked weird.
--
“Geez, Jessie, calm down.” Daisy tried to stem the waterworks coming from her borderline sobbing friend.
“But, like, it was so saaaaaaaaad!” Samus hiccupped on the way out of the theatre, having once again exposed her weak spot for extremely sappy romance films. “The way she said his name at the end was too much!”
“Come on, you’re going to ruin your makeup..” Daisy sheepishly said. Sure, she herself had gotten the sniffles at that last scene, but unlike Jessie’s scrunched up, teary-eyed visage, the treatment she had gotten that month made sure that her face was beautiful and dignified even while experiencing uglier emotions. Fortunately Samus managed to reel herself in before her perfectly painted face was totally ruined, although she had to wipe off some of her ruined makeup.
Fortunately, she thought as she splashed some water onto her face in the bathroom, she was looking pretty good in general. She had given in to impulse when she went to the clinic to complete her tan, deciding that while she was there it wouldn’t hurt to make her skin perfectly soft and smooth, eliminating the weathering and traces of scars. Coupled with her taking a page out of Krissi’s book and giving herself such long and thick eyelashes that they looked like they were already heavily painted, she looked pretty good even once wiping it and her blush off.
“What was your favourite scene?” She asked her fellow movie buff on the way out of the cinema.
“Probably the part where he ran to the spaceport, yelling that he loved her as her ship was taking off.” Daisy said enthusiastically, Samus nodding in agreement.
“That was so good! I totally want a romance like that in my life.” Samus sighed. “All the boys around here are, like, so shallow.”
“That’s what makes ‘em good, though!” Daisy smiled, having gone through boyfriends like she went through shoes. “You don’t have to worry about all that serious stuff.”
“I guess so. Wouldn’t hurt to have a sensitive guy around for once though.”
Despite her grumbling, Samus admitted that she wasn’t really interested in any serious relationship right now. What if she actually stuck with somebody longer than one night and she got called back for a mission right before a big date? That’d totally suck.
--
One day, the day that Samus had been preparing for finally arrived. An emergency call from the Federation. A dangerous foe! A daring operation! An exciting quest! There was only one woman for the job: Samus Aran, space bounty hunter extraordinaire! Even in these times of relative peace, the Federation had never forgotten who was their top girl, and eagerly awaited her response. There was just one problem. Samus Aran was nowhere to be found! She wasn’t responding to their calls, and she had seemingly dropped off the map months prior. High command had just assumed she was having some low-key adventure as she sometimes did, but in this case it was like she had evaporated into the mist.
Eventually, the Federation couldn’t wait any longer. They had given her a grace period of a few hours after they usually would have given up just in case she was in the middle of some fierce battle on an alien world, but it was clear that she was a no show. They had to hire a handful of top-class bounty hunters to make up for the one woman army, and it begged the question; just what was Samus doing that was so important that she couldn’t respond to their mission?
--
Meanwhile, at the time of the call, Samus Aran was busy being spitroasted in the back of the men’s room in her favourite club, her moans muffled by the cock she was fellating while she was pounded from behind, her breasts heaving with each mighty smack. Annoyingly, her phone kept vibrating in her pocket which she could feel hanging around her knees, causing the experienced girl to reach for the phone to shut it up. Of course, she couldn’t see it since she was busy staring at the man at the front’s pubes, but she was deftly able to cancel the whatever it was. God, couldn’t they call her back later? She was busy! Whatever it was could wait!
The call being a highly confidential Federation hotline rerouted from her ship’s computer to her bright pink civilian grade phone meant that the notification simply vanished into the ether, leaving no trace by design. Samus wouldn’t notice it when she texted the girls to tell them that she was being taken to her date’s home, and she wouldn’t notice it the next morning when she checked to see if the clinic had gotten back to her on when they had an open slot for her next treatment. Of course, by then Samus had long forgotten that she had ever been called in the first place.
--
“And so, the illegally cloned Metroids were destroyed by some of the galaxy’s top up and coming bounty hunters…” Said the reporter, Samus watching from her seat in the clinic’s waiting room.
“Huh. Why didn’t they ask me?” Samus was puzzled. She guessed that these Metroids weren’t a big deal after all if she hadn’t heard about it? Well, she thought to herself as she untensed, realising that even the Federation had no pressing need for the return of Samus Aran, it looked like her vacation was going to last even longer than she thought. Truth be told she hadn’t thought about getting back to work in weeks, but that was beside the point. Even the enemy that had defined her career had been dealt with by somebody else. She had thought that she would be bothered more by that, but instead she guessed that they just didn’t make Metroids like they used to and relaxed instead, knowing that she had at least a few more weeks of peace...
--
“Are you gonna get that, Jessie?” Cassie asked as Samus looked longingly at the jacket in the shop display window.
“No, not today.” Samus said with deep sadness. “I just can’t fit anything else into my wardrobe.”
“Just throw out your old stuff then.” Ashley pointed out, already three bags deep into this shopping trip.
“I already did. God, this, like, totally sucks.” Samus said, looking absolutely miserable with one of life’s basic pleasures denied to her.
“Hey, I needed to buy new lipstick anyway. Wanna come with?” Ashley offered thoughtfully enough, sympathising with the dilemma that Samus faced. Samus sighed, trying to not get too hung on it. Besides, Ashley was giving her her new puppy dog eyes, now doubly as cute as she was before thanks to last week’s changes she made to her eyelid structure and her new button nose, the new and improved Ashley milking her increasingly genetically perfect face for all it was worth.
She still couldn’t help but pout as she and Ashley debated the merits of shades of red so subtly different that no man could possibly tell them apart. What could she buy now, new shoes? Heels? No, she was still too tall for that. Couldn’t buy new clothes, couldn’t buy the high heels she craved so much… Samus was pretty happy with her body, but she felt like appearance-wise things were a lot less exciting than the honeymoon period after her hip and thigh expansion. She wasn’t the brand new Jessica anymore, just plain old Jessica. Her figure was a given, not a pleasant surprise. She’d had a little bit of extra excitement when she showed off her perfected tan and silky smooth new skin, but that was it. If only there was a simple, easy solution to both problems...
Samus’ eyes lit up. That was it!
--
“Is something different about you today?” Ashley asked, Samus unable to suppress her smug aura as the slow-witted girl instinctively knew that something was off, but couldn’t quite put her finger on it. By now the others had figured it out, but were enjoying watching their bubbly friend take longer to catch on. Samus simply shrugged,
“Uh, you did your hair!” Ashley guessed, trying to pin it down.
“Nope.” Samus shook her head, sending her curls tumbling.
“You changed your makeup!”
“Nuh-uh.”
“You, uh, you, you got your skin treated!”
“That was weeks ago, silly.”
Ashley was stumped, and Samus felt compelled to give her a hint.
“Maybe I, like, changed my shoes?” Samus suggested, gesturing at her bright pink five inch heels. Ashley didn’t get it. Was she making fun of her? Jessie seemed to be the same height as always, even though she was wearing much taller heels than usual.
“No, those heels look pretty nor-” Ashley began, then cut herself off with a gasp. She looked at Samus’ five inch heels, then back to her, then back at the heels.
“Omigawd! You finally did it!” She squealed, jumping into a squishy hug. “You are so cuuuuuute!”
“I really felt like I was missing out this whole time, so I couldn’t resist.” Samus grinned.
“Welcome to the club!” Daisy congratulated her, joining in on the hug. “Feels good, doesn’t it?”
“No more worrying about being too much woman for dumb boys to handle.” Samus’ smile was infectious, Samus finally feeling that she had gained the one thing that the other girls had in common that had been denied to her by her natural height.
“Take them off, take them off!” Ashley demanded excitedly, squealing even more as Samus kicked them off and instantly dropped to 5’8. Samus was already being forced to get used to things being a lot bigger than she remembered them, but her significantly shorter stature resulting in her looking up at most of her friends was downright disorienting. The entire group were wearing various degrees of high heels, so she was looking well up at Cassie, on par with Daisy and Ashley, and Krissi was smugly looking down on her from her slight vantage point as well.
“Oh my gawd, she’s adorable!” Krissi squealed. “I just want to pick her up and put her in my purse!”
“Totes cute.” Cassie agreed, patting her on the head.
“Come on Krissi, at least say that to me first.” Daisy pouted her fuller lips, courtesy of a little splicing here and there after she decided she liked the look of Krissi’s similarly targeted upgrade last month.
“Now now, girls, there’s more than enough of me to, like, go around.” Samus tempered the girls. She was glad that she got such a universally positive reception, having expected at least one of them to lecture her on how she looked good at her old height. Maybe Cassie, she was the biggest purist of the group, having had no splices that Samus could recall. Well, she had naturally big boobs and was of an average height, and she was pretty enough that she didn’t need it. Not like mannish Samus Aran who needed to be significantly tuned to reach her true potential.
While it was a significant change, Samus had found it surprisingly easy to justify. It seemed like she wouldn’t be contacted for any urgent missions, and she had long drawn a distinction between her work body and her play body. With the help of the clinic’s template, she could easily hop between the two as needed, not that she felt like this body was inept enough to need to be changed back to her boring old one. She was pretty sure that 5’8 was just enough to still fit into her suit, and if it wasn’t she could just add some high heels to her zero suit to make up the difference. Not that she had confirmed it either way, as she hadn’t returned to her ship in months, her power suit by now coated in a fine layer of dust while the shiny orange hull of the ship was going dull and dark.
Now that Samus had done it, she didn’t doubt it for a second. Why should Samus Aran take priority when she was spending all of her time as Jessica Hale? The idea of being Samus right now was, like, such a drag. Given the choice, she’d definitely only be Samus Aran for as long as it took to complete a mission and then it was back to her so-called fake life where she liked it. She’d get back to work when she felt like it, and what she felt like working on right now was her shoe collection with the help of her besties…
--
Despite Samus’ enthusiasm over being able to wear high heels, for her first night at the club she found herself falling back on her good old reliable one inchers. As a result she immediately discovered what she had been missing out on from her above average vantage point, namely the much more crowded club experience at ground level. Samus was no longer able to see over the sea of grinding bodies, and found herself jostled this way and that due to having to guess her way through rather than identify the easiest paths. On top of that, it was a lot harder to find her friends, Samus wandering aimlessly trying to find where her gang of party girls had gone.
“Watch where you’re going, babe.” Samus heard as she was inevitably bounced by a careless drunk girl onto what she could easily tell was a male crotch, quickly hardening against her plump ass. She turned to see a face she vaguely recognised, pursing her lips slightly in instinctive annoyance that thanks to her puffy lips came out more as a slightly petulant pout, easily dismissed as from her rough treatment. Samus was a lot more attentive to a man’s face when they had slighted her, and in his case even with her killer body, he had been turned off by her height. Fortunately, that clearly wasn’t an issue anymore.
Samus declared this a good test, and quickly began flirting with him as if it was the first time they had met. And as far as that meatheaded jock was concerned, it was. One thing quickly led to another and Samus was quickly in the phase where she was ready to convince him to foot the taxi fare back to his apartment, but she decided that he should be rewarded for confirming that her new height was as much of a plus as she had thought. Samus usually wasn’t much of a kisser unless her date insisted on it, but this time she pushed herself up on the tip of her toes and kissed him right on the lips, hers easily dwarfing his. She didn’t linger for long, finding it a lot less exciting than wrapping them around his log. Like most of her interactions with men, it was more for her own enjoyment than his…
--
“Damn, you’re pretty strong for a girl your size,” her latest conquest chuckled as she rolled over to be on top of him to prepare for round two in her apartment.
He was new in the club, or at least Samus thought he was. After a while, all square jawed men with muscles and good dicks started to blend together a bit, but he didn’t seem to know “Jessie,” so he must’ve been new. He was pretty charming too, showering her in compliments all night as he paid for all her drinks. Maybe that was why she brought him back to her place for a change.
“Thanks,” Samus smiled, grunting in satisfaction as she lowered herself onto his thick shaft. “I used to be a bit of a fitness nut.”
“That’s hot,” he grinned as he reached up to play with her huge breasts. “Most guys aren’t into buff girls like you, but I think you’re fucking perfect, Jessie.”
“...what?” Samus paused her riding to look down at him, her expression blank.
“You okay babe?” the handsome dark haired man whose name she’d already forgotten asked her. “Sorry, was that too forward? I don’t normally say stuff like that, but you’re the hottest girl I’ve ever done this with.”
His compliments weren’t what gave her pause though. Even after her 8 months of leisure time on vacation had diminished up her muscletone, she still had a very naturally athletic build and broad shoulders that helped give her the strength needed to carry more shopping bags than any of her friends. Was it possible that the reason she’d been rejected before wasn’t because of her height but because of her strength?
Come to think of it, didn't Ashley mention something about how her shoulders looked even bigger now that she was shorter? Even though they were the same size and similar measurements up top, Samus still didn’t fit into her friend’s shirt when they’d gotten them mixed up last week.
Had she gone and made herself disproportionate again?
After that, the mood wasn’t as good. Samus spent too much time thinking about her latest potential body issue to really get into it like she wanted. The sex was still pretty good considering she only put 50% in, but when the dumbass tried to cuddle afterwards, she broke away from him to go to the bathroom.
She stood in front of one of her apartment’s many full body mirrors to give herself a critical appraisal. She tried her best to block her shoulders and still toned arms from view as she focused on the rest of her figure. She tried imagining her perfectly curvy hourglass complimented by slimmer shoulders, thinner arms, and a smaller ribcage overall.
It was an admittedly nice thing to picture, a cute harmless girl who men wouldn’t be afraid of, never once realizing that she was the Samus Aran, the most dangerous woman in the galaxy. Besides, it wasn’t like she needed to be strong while in her vacation body.
Samus pulled out her phone and left a message with the gene splicing clinic right then and there. By this time next week, Jessie Hale would be just as cute and dainty as all her friends.
---
“I still can’t believe how fast you recover, Miss Hale,” the receptionist at the clinic smiled at Samus as she groggily rose to her feet after her latest tune up.
“Good genes I guess.” Samus smirked at her own joke. Considering she had several different genes from when she first arrived on Zathor-4, that had to be ironic.
“Ha, funny and beautiful,” the receptionist giggled while looking at her in admiration with that crooked smile of hers. “I bet guys must be all over you.”
“They usually are,” Samus agreed with a knowing smirk. “And hopefully even more all over me now.”
Samus turned to admire the new, new her in the room’s big mirror. She was still just as tall as she was when she came in, but her build was much more slender overall. Below her still unchanged face was a smooth swan-like neck that led down to a pair of smooth, narrow shoulders that made her breasts seem even bigger in comparison.
Her arms had finally lost those last stubborn traces of muscle that refused to go away after all this time, leaving her with a pair of smooth delicate arms that reminded her of Krissi’s. Even her hands were smaller and smoother now. Her earlier skin treatment to remove blemishes and body hair had wiped away the last remaining callouses from her old life, but this new procedure changed her hands entirely, leaving Samus with a pair of dainty, delicate hands that looked like they’d never done a day of work in her life. Her inch long, bright pink nails helped sell the image all the more. And even better, the nails matched the new paint job she’d had done to her apartment’s walls; the white was getting too boring.
“You look so pretty now, Miss Hale!” The receptionist looked stunned
Ah, Samus realised, her ego already swelling by the second. So that was why one of the nurses hadn’t been the one to greet her. It looked like she had quite the admirer.
This girl was the main person to schedule the clinic’s appointments. Maybe it would be smart to stay in her good graces. She gave her new fan and potential new friend another once over. She wasn’t really that ugly, Samus concluded. She just needed to give herself a boost up top, fix that big nose of hers, and straighten out that smile and she could be quite pretty too.
“You know,” Samus said with a considering look at the short brunette. “You could be, like, just as pretty as me if you got yourself done too.”
“T-thank you,” she blushed. “But I don’t know if I could afford that, Miss Hale.”
“I thought these clinics usually offered really good employee discounts?” Samus asked, tilting her head in confusion like Ashley often did when she was trying to be extra cute while acting dumb. It would hopefully make what she said next sting a bit less.
“They do,” the receptionist reluctantly nodded, looking somewhat uncomfortable.
“Then you should totally go for it!” Samus said in a perky tone. “You’re, like, the first person people see when they come in here so you should really show ‘em what to expect from Dr. Johnson’s great work.”
“I-I guess so.” She lowered her head, looking unsure.
Clearly, this girl must’ve been a purist like Cassie. It’s a shame she wasn’t born nearly as pretty as her best friend. Judging by the girl’s tone, Samus figured she had her eyes on some guy already and was worried about the ethics of changing herself to win him.
Pretty stupid as far as Samus was concerned since this girl didn’t even need to worry about the usual prices like most non-rich people did. What did she have to lose if it might get her a hot boyfriend out of the deal?
“Besides, you don’t need to do much to make yourself a knockout like me,” Samus smiled encouragingly. “A cuter nose, some new boobs, and a little more time doing your makeup and the boys will be all over you in no time.”
“Really?” The receptionist perked up, a look of hope and excitement in her dull brown eyes.
“Really,” Samus nodded. “After this one, I think I might have just made myself irresistible.”
Several emotions flashed across the receptionist’s face before eventually settling on a look of determination. “Okay, I’ll think about it,” she nodded, more to herself than Samus. “Thanks for the advice, Miss Hale.”
And so her good deed for the day done, Samus strutted out of the clinic, enjoying the stares she got as she left. She finally felt ready to really unwind now that her vacation body had lost its last traces of the real Samus Aran.
