After sending her SOS for some sun and sand, it wasn’t long before Samus had gathered up the members required for her girls day out, and the result was her having even more fun than she thought she would. Cassie and the girls were fun to be around and helped Samus feel at ease, from their attitude to their outfits. It was easy to feel a lot less insecure over her woefully inadequate swimsuit when Daisy showed up in a microbikini and and Ashley in a sling bikini without so much as a comment besides complimenting Samus on how her’s was totes cute, and although Samus wouldn’t say no to a day of lazing around on her own, the energy brought to the table by the others was infectious to say the least. The fact that none of them seemed to have enough depth to ever ask "Jessie" anything about her life when she wasn't on vacation at this resort colony certainly helped ease Samus' suspicions about being found out.
With the sun standing high in the artificial sky and most of the afternoon consumed by the beach, the girls hit the mall for what Ashley referred to as “retail therapy”. Samus wasn’t sure how buying clothes was supposed to improve someone’s mental health, but her wardrobe was lacking in both variety and the ability to fit her new proportions in the first place anyway, so she happily went along with it. Samus was fascinated by the group’s sheer excitement at what looked like ordinary shoes and clothes to her, and was quickly caught up in the mood, buying well more than what she normally would have on her own. She was even goaded into buying a dress, despite her usual distaste for them. Sure, Samus would never, but Jessica had no such biases.
It wasn’t until the end of the day when they were leaving the mall that Samus had her perky mood dampened, in the middle of an otherwise chipper conversation stating how happy they were with their purchases.
“Need any help getting that stuff back to your place?” Cassie asked her new friend, an innocent and friendly enough offer on its own. The dirty blonde party girl had only gotten herself a dress and a new pair of shoes, unlike Samus who was hauling around five bags of new clothes. And even Samus’ haul paled in comparison to the absolute hoard of clothing Ashley had left with, the dainty girl sweating under the weight despite her attempts to downplay it.
For the second time that day, Samus froze. What if she said no and Cassie insisted? What was she going to do, lead her back to her ship and give her a tour of her cold steel walls and gallery of heavy duty weapons? Fortunately Samus was able to casually decline the offer without much resistance by redirecting her towards Ashley before the poor girl’s arms gave out, but Samus was left on guard. Clearly, she needed to get a place to stay that wasn’t a heavily armed gunship if she was planning on her secret identity staying as secret as she wanted it to be. Right then and there, Samus decided that tomorrow was to be devoted to house-hunting, the first thing she had done resembling work since she arrived.
---
The penthouse apartment of the condo building was expensive, but it was also very secure since it could only be accessed by an elevator that only the owner would have the key card to. The floor to ceiling glass windows were also bullet and blaster proof, ensuring the resident’s safety from anything short of a ship crashing into it out of the sky. The windows also provided an excellent view of the beach.
Samus justified the cost to herself with the fact that she could come back here in the future for other vacations when she needed another break from bounty hunting. Lots of people had vacation homes on Zathor-4, so why shouldn’t Samus as well? She’d put in the work to earn herself a nice place to crash when she wanted to relax.
But before she could buy it, she’d need to make sure that its ownership couldn't be traced back to Samus Aran. Her cover identity as “Jessica Hale” was going to need a bit more meat to it first.
It took some doing, but Samus had done a bit of undercover work before when she was younger and less famous. She knew the ins and outs of faking documents, but took things a step further this time. Jessica Hale needed to have a bit more to her backstory than a normal body guard who nobody would question. But it also needed to be something Samus could draw on from experience if questioned.
Like Samus herself, “Jessica Hale” was an orphan. Unlike Samus, Jessica was from a rich family and grew up taken care of without needing to worry about money other than how to spend it. It took some extra time, money, and effort, but Samus arranged it so that even if a particularly dedicated investigator managed to track down a supposed living Hale family member, their palms were greased and ready to insist they had known her since childbirth.
And so after a week of using the fake name she came up with on the spot, as far as the colony of Zathor-4 was concerned, Jessica Hale became a homeowner.
---
“Wow! Great place, Jessie!” Cassie gasped in awe as she and the others exited the elevator and saw Samus’s new home for the first time.
“Thanks,” Samus said, puffing up with an odd sense of pride.
She’d spent most of her life living in very spartan conditions, so finally having a space to own that she bought for something besides work felt... nice. She’d spent the last couple days moving in some stuff from her ship to her new apartment to make it feel more like home. She’d also bought some furniture for her new vacation place, though there was still a lot of vacant space that she didn’t really know what to do with.
“Oh my god, look at that view!” Daisy gasped with stars in her eyes as the short redhead ran to the huge windows to admire the city.
“Wow, this place is totally great, Jessie,” the curvy brunette Krissi smiled as she looked about the spacious split level apartment. “So when are you gonna decorate it and move your stuff in?”
“...I did already,” Samus said, tensing up a bit. Did her new vacation home not look realistic enough? Was Krissi about to realize that she was faking her identity because her apartment was too spartan?
“Wow, you really haven’t been on Zathor-4 long, have you Jess?” Ashley asked, giving the taller blonde a sympathetic look. “We’ve gotta help you upgrade this place.”
The idea of a 4 Million Credit penthouse apartment needing any kind of upgrades was absurd to Samus… but maybe it didn’t have to be absurd to Jessie Hale.
“Aww thanks, Ashley,” Samus smiled down at the shorter blonde. “I’ve never had to decorate my own place before, so I’d love some help to make this place feel like home.”
Her new friends cheered in excitement, all suddenly shooting out suggestions rapid fire about what she should add to decorate her apartment. Apparently, her new friends all enjoyed various reality TV shows where celebrities showed off their fancy homes or shows where people renovated and redid their homes.
And so the friends had a night in, ordering furniture, curtains, rugs, and all kinds of decorations for Samus’s new home. It was a bit more girlish and fancy than Samus was comfortable with, but her friends seemed to be having fun having a mostly blank canvas to play with. Samus brushed it off as a necessary sacrifice to blend in.
Besides, it’s not like her friends were trying to convince her to paint the entire place pink or something. They ran pretty much every idea and suggestion by her. Samus may have overcompensated by saying yes to everything, but she told herself that making the enormous apartment feel more lived in would be good for her cover story and make this place feel more like a home than her gunship.
A couple days later, after everything they’d ordered had arrived, the girls had a proper housewarming party to celebrate “Jessie’s” new bachelorette pad.
Samus gave the place another once over as she carefully sipped her champagne from her new arm chair.
The walls remained the same eggshell white they had been, but at Krissi’s insistence had the trim painted pink along the baseboards of the walls and just below the ceiling. It certainly added a nice splash of color to her home. The nice blue rug that her bare feet rested on was Cassie’s idea. The color reminded Samus of her zero suit, so it really helped make the apartment feel like home.
Daisy had suggested some artwork and a mirror to decorate her otherwise empty walls. The cutesy paintings of flowers and the sign saying “Live, Laugh, Love” did add a happy, feminine air to the place that Samus thought helped add to her fake identity as a girl who loved romance movies. And Cassie’s suggestions for her kitchen and dining room sets helped fill two otherwise barren rooms that Samus didn’t really know what to do with.
The apartment had quickly gone from a spartan crash pad to bring one night stands, to what felt like an actual home where a real person might live. It wasn’t what Samus was expecting when she’d first come up with this plan to blend in, but she didn’t hate what her friends had come up with. The apartment looked surprisingly normal. Kind of pretty and classy even.
Samus couldn’t help the smile on her face as she realized how much this would help her blend in.
---
After that fateful first week on Zathor-4, time became a bit of a fun, happy blur for Samus. Every day was fun, and the concept of time quickly began to slip away for her. She would wake up, have some fun, go to bed, repeat. It was so easy to get used to as her new norm, she completely forgot about things like remembering to check in on the bounty hunting board, or anything but wanton self-indulgence. And why shouldn't she? She hadn't heard as much of a buzz from her direct line to the Federation since her vacation started. Eventually, Samus simply stopped expecting to hear anything at all.
---
“Hey babe.” Samus was slightly surprised when she was tapped on the shoulder in the middle of dancing, turning to see a handsome young man with chiselled features and a winning smile.
“Couldn’t help but nothing you all on your lonesome. You single?” He asked, Samus realising that for the first time, she was being hit on without the help of her gal pals. And he was pretty hot, too!
“I might be.” Samus offered, enjoying her own sultry tone, a little more seductive than usual.. A reward for the first guy to single her out when there were plenty of other scantily clad girls.
“I was thinking, this party’s getting a little boring, don’t you think?” He suggested, Samus already seeing where he was going. The night was wearing on, and for one reason or another he hadn’t already found a girl. Of course, his friends wouldn’t let him live it down if he was the only one spending a lonely night at home. Therefore…
“How’s about we go back to my place and have a little fun on our own?”
There it was! The promise of quick and easy sex with no commitment. Maybe it was just the alcohol, but Samus still felt flattered. At a club like this you were spoiled for choice, but for one reason or another he had picked her after the ebb and flow of the crowd separated her from her group.
“You’re right, I was getting a bit tired.” Samus rose one hand to her mouth in a comically exaggerated yawn, taking his hand with the other. A couple of weeks ago she couldn’t have seen herself being so loose with her standards, but the Samus of a couple of weeks ago was pretty sex starved too, and probably wouldn’t mind. Maybe it was even better if she did!
--
Samus didn’t know the first thing about celebrities and she certainly didn’t care, but she had made sure to check out some recent articles about that Lucy-somebody that Cassie seemed enraptured with. It was as vapid as she expected, all gossip and making wild extrapolations about who slept with who, but it would help her keep the conversation going rather than awkwardly sidestep around her lack of knowledge.
Samus reviewed the notes she’d taken as she arrived at brunch, determined to keep pace with the conversation when the subject drifted to things beyond boys. As long as Samus didn’t let any of her friends spot the notes app open on her phone, she’d probably be able to keep pace and blend in. She just hoped none of them asked her who her favorite candidate was on the Reality TV Dating show they talked about the other day. 22 of the 24 women in the competition were all blondes that had names that started with B, so Samus couldn’t keep any of them straight no matter how much research she did last night. Hell, there were at least five Brandi’s as far as she could tell. This just wasn’t fair.
Maybe she’d just pick Brandi W. as her favourite and hope for the best.
--
“Steady, steady…” Samus’s quivering wrist came to a perfect stop in the mirror as she used an old Chozo breathing technique to achieve perfect control of her hand, delicately stroking her long eyelashes to add mascara, having already successfully applied a tastefully light layer of eyeshadow on her third attempt, the stains of her embarrassing failures still slightly visible in her bathroom sink. Samus had a whole box of cosmetics prepared for her makeup debut, but she would make use of only a few of them today. Once she had broken the ice by showing her friends that she could do it on her own, she wouldn’t feel bad about getting more thorough advice from them. They had been bugging her for a few weeks about how great she’d look if she put a little more time into her appearance, and eventually she had given in. She had already gone all in on her hair, a little extra time in the morning for makeup wouldn’t hurt.
Samus finished painting her eyelashes, fluttering her already long lashes experimentally. SHe had been a bit concerned that she wouldn’t like how she looked in makeup, the primary reason why she had never touched the stuff besides it being a bit too girly for a gruff bounty hunter with no social life like Samus Aran, but she had to say that she was pleased with the results so far. She was surprised at how much her eyelashes popped when they were thicker and darker, the eyeshadow really helping. With her confidence renewed, she applied a little blush to her cheeks and smoothed out the signs of her harsher life. Not a lot, but just enough to make it look like she had an easy life. Finally, she hesitated on the tube of red lipstick that was the easiest of them all to apply, instead opting for the safer, less flashy lip gloss. She smacked her lips as a glossy sheen was added to them, helping the already puffy, attention-seeking plumpness stand out ever more.
Samus gave herself a winning smile in the mirror, feeling downright unrecognisable in her glamorous disguise. Damn, she looked good! Just wait until the girls saw her!
--
“Hey hot stuff.”
The conventionally attractive young man leaned in at the club’s counter, where Samus’ finger was lightly tracing her martini glass. This was what, the third time this week she’d heard that? He lost points for creativity, that was for sure.
“Mind if I buy you another drink?” He offered. Another cheap line, but always a good one to hear. That was one point up. It was the least a guy could do, after all.
“I’ll have a sex on the beach.” Samus requested, crossing her legs and settling into her seat. Samus used to prefer tougher drinks like whiskey, but once she had been introduced to the world of girly drinks she couldn’t go back. Having a sweet flavour really helped put them down and look forward to them for more than getting herself hammered. Right now though, Samus was fairly sober, wanting to try a night without being barely able to walk straight by the end.
“Sounds like a good idea to me.” He grinned. Minus one point for puns. Samus gave him the point back for his long, wavy hair, it was a good bit of variety from the last three men she slept with.
By the time her new drink arrived, his hand was on her ass. Was that plus or minus points? Samus decided it was plus, given how they usually went for her tits, wishing that she had a bit more for him to hold onto. And even if it was negative, they were lucky enough that they were being rated by Jessica who didn’t mind her ass being squeezed every now and then, as opposed to Samus who would have snapped that arm like a twig. Just another benefit of being Jessica…
--
“I’m trying them on now!” Samus called, Cassie and Ashley watching as Samus slipped on a blue pair of two inch heels for the first time. Samus had been sticking to fairly sensible footwear, but her reluctance to try out impractical high heels had eventually been worn down by the requests of her friends whenever they went shoe shopping. They were kind of cute, she had to admit, and they’d be good for her showing off her thighs and perking up her butt a bit, something it was in desperate need of with how overshadowed it was compared to her top half.
“See, you look good!” Ashey reassured her as Samus carefully stood up. They were odd, but not as uncomfortable as Samus had thought. She took careful baby steps forward, relieved that she was so far maintaining her balance. It looked like this might work after all!
“Are you sure you’ll be okay?” Cassie asked, concerned after Samus had rode her momentum and bought them then and there, gathering up her shopping bags to leave the shop with them still on her feet. “It’s your first time, isn’t it?”
“I told you, I’m fine.” Samus said on wobbly legs, taking a confident step forward and nearly turning her heel and falling then and there, letting out a girly squeak as she flailed and tried to regain her balance, unsure of just how to do so in the impractical shoes. Samus was saved by Ashley and Cassie immediately darting forward to catch her before she fell onto her chest-mounted airbags, Samus flushing bright red as they made sure she hadn’t twisted her ankle. Note to Samus: it was time for some homework!
---
Once again, Samus found herself back in her medical bay, tapping in some careful values for her machine. This time it was for another minor operation, Samus having decided to take the plunge and see what the big deal with long nails was. All of her friends had them, and she hadn’t gotten much of an answer on why besides that they were either pretty or sexy, depending on who she asked. It was something she’d have to find out for herself, she had decided.
Samus still couldn’t quite see the appeal, but she hadn’t seen the appeal of many things to begin with either. After all, she was starting to come around on the many other things that her circle had introduced her to, so nails were the next logical step. And more than anything, Samus didn’t want to be boring, and nothing could be more boring than not trying at all.
Compared to the work needed to grow her breasts, lips, and eyelashes, giving herself better nails was ch1ld’s play for her ship’s medbay. While completely altering the skeletal structure was a bit out of its capabilities, growing flesh and keratin from existing sources was just a few minutes' work. In no time at all, Samus was the proud owner of very strong, damage resistant half inch nails.
‘There, that ought to help me fit in a bit better with the girls,’ Samus thought with a smug smirk to herself as she still recalled the remark about her hands from a few weeks ago. Her hands were still somewhat rough and calloused, but she knew that would fade with time. It’s not like she had much need to constantly discharge her blaster on this peaceful colony. With how easy they were to trim, when the time came she’d just lop them off and regrow them later...
---
After a few weeks of regular beach days enjoying the sun, sand, and surf, Samus began to realize that her hair was losing the curls she’d had done at the salon during her first big trip to the mall. It wasn’t terribly surprising that her hair was losing it’s curled style considering it was a bit harder to maintain than she’d thought it would be. She could just decide not to swim as much anymore, but swimming was a good way to stay in shape and a good bit more interesting than just lying on the hot sand and passively working on her tan.
And so a return trip to the salon was in order, lest any of her new girlfriends realize that a celebrity was in their midst the day “Jessie” showed up without her playful blonde curls and instead sporting Samus Aran’s straight blonde locks.
The pretty brunette stylist from a few weeks ago recognized Samus as she returned.
“Oh no! What happened to your hair?” she asked with a pair of sympathetic puppy dog eyes.
“Too much time at the beach I guess,” Samus said with a playful laugh to try downplaying her frustration about her hair. “Is there anything you can do to make the curls last longer this time?”
“Well besides a gene splice for naturally curly hair?” the stylist giggled, fluffing out her own thick, curly locks. “We do have a special treatment to make it last a lot longer, even when it gets wet, but it’ll mean you won’t be able to do other styles with it for a while.”
“That’s fine,” Samus accepted, easily enough. She wasn’t going to complain about making more permanent hair to keep her secret identity.
The idea of gene splicing her hair again briefly flashed through her head, but Samus dismissed it. She’d done it once already as a teenager to put her hair back to it’s natural blonde. She didn’t need to do it again for something so… simple.
Splicing should be saved for something big, not something that she could do herself once she got better at haircare. Ashley and Krissi had been giving her some beauty tips recently and Samus was sure she’d be able to do this herself once she got more confident.
She left the salon that day with her hair styled into a set of long bouncy ringlets that spread out the width of her shoulders and fell down to the bottom of her shoulder blades. The stylist gave Samus very specific instructions not to get her hair wet for 36 hours and her curls would last for weeks. Samus privately thought that her naturally straight locks looked a bit better, but the playful way her new hair bounced as she walked was oddly charming.
---
“You are definitely the hottest girl I’ve ever met.” The man with neatly trimmed short blonde hair declared, Samus pausing to unmount her mouth from his long, thick cock and look up at him from the floor of their automated hovertaxi.
“Hey, don’t stop!” He complained as Samus came loose with a pop, a trail of saliva from her puffy lips to the head of his cock. His indignation was a good sign that she was doing a good job with her first blowjob, having decided to indulge her latest boytoy’s suggestion for passing the time on the way back to his apartment in a spur of the moment decision.
“You really mean it?” Samus said in a sweetly saccharine tone, fluttering her painted eyelashes at him.
“I mean it!” He said impatiently, Samus getting back to work with a smile. He let out a few pleasured groans as Samus experimented with her tongue, trying to get a feel for the act. She had no intention of letting him come in her mouth, but she still wanted to show him a good time for his flattering words. It was high praise given the competition, and Samus wanted him to know it. It seemed like her hard work with her makeup was paying off. As for his looks, Samus didn’t really care. He was good looking enough, she supposed, most of the men she ended up sleeping with tended to blend together. It helped further the idea in her mind that this was just a casual fling, a natural part of the partying process. If she wanted to actually date one of them, even just as Jessica with no intent of going the distance, she’d definitely have higher standards.
For now she pulled her mouth free once again once she noticed that they had arrived, saving his built-up pressure for the bedroom…
---
Samus performed her morning routine, getting up, showering, doing her makeup, and checking out the latest gossip on her favourite celebrity. Initially Samus had been bored to tears following these actors and the like, but she found a fascinating woman who was quite entertaining to follow, always having some misadventure. Plus, by following her, she found out more about the celebrities around her, expanding her knowledge and making it easier to chat with her friends. She was really starting to feel like she got the appeal after all, but she just couldn’t see herself getting any deeper into it.
Though she did have a fun time with Cassie and the girls the other night, having a watch party for the mid season finale of Harem Hotel. She still thought the show was stupid, but at least it was kind of funny to see Brandi W, Brandi J, and Brandi B all get into a catfight in the hotel’s hot tub as they argued over who the hunky bachelor liked the best. Even if she’d never take the show seriously, Samus could at least enjoy it on an ironic level.
She was glad her own friend group was so drama free. The closest thing any of them had to an argument in weeks was when Ashley was appalled at Samus claiming Brandi W. as her favorite choice to win that season. Of course, once Brandi T got eliminated in last week’s episode, Ashley jumped ship and apologized to Samus for arguing.
Samus simply smirked to herself, knowing that she had the best taste. She just had to hope that the doofus bachelor starring on the show also had good taste.
Team Brandi W for life.
...ironically of course.
---
“One more time.” Samus told herself, walking down the length of her apartment and back. Balance, perfect. Pace, brisk. Legs, sexy. Heels, high. Finally, her high heel training was complete, Samus kicking off the three inch heels she had spent the last week training herself to wear properly after her embarrassing display in order to prepare for her real debut. She was feeling very proud of herself and how quickly she had acclimatised to them, and was very ready to show off to make up for the last time she acted like she had it under control.
That meant it was time to pull out the big guns. Extreme five inch heels, pure black and ready to fuel Samus’ competitive spirit. She moved easily in them, appreciating the effects it had on her butt in the mirror before heading out, ready for a night on the town. It wasn’t long before she was making careful steps into the club, and it wasn’t long before her big, extremely obvious oversight was made apparent to her. Namely: Samus was already tall. Five inch heels were all good and well when you were as short as Daisy, but when they were on Samus she was absolutely gargantuan, a head above everybody else in the club and sticking out like a sore thumb.
Samus was already regretting it well before she started getting looks from partygoers near and far. On top of that, it was obvious that she was boy-repellent in her current elevated state. She attempted to put on a brave face and act like nothing was wrong, recognising from her lookout point the man from the other day who had called her the hottest woman he had ever seen. Even if she was a little higher-up than usual, surely he wouldn’t…
Samus was stopped dead in her tracks when he noticed her, and although he turned away as quickly as possible like he had never seen her, it was more than long enough for Samus to drink in his expression. The way his features creased, obviously repulsed just by her height alone...
“Jessie?” Cassie practically rushed over to Samus, having already been on her way when she saw the look of utter dismay on her friend’s face. Rather than face her, Samus turned and walked right away on those high heels she had been so proud of, so caught up in her petty attempts to show off that she had overlooked such an obvious outcome. Samus barely made it out of the club when she took them off altogether, hailing a hovertaxi for an utterly miserable trip back to her fancy penthouse. To her credit, Samus merely stewed in her unhappiness until she made it back to her room, when the anger really came out.
Insecure douchebags. Stupid pricks with their fragile masculinity, couldn’t handle a girl looking down on them, worried they’ll lose their big boy points with their stupid douchebag friends over something as pathetic as that! Samus was downright seething as she cast her heels away into the depths of her wardrobe, refusing to wear anything higher than an inch again as long as she was this tall...
