“Look, I don’t think you should do that.” Eric said, Sam groaning in response as they walked through the shopping mall.
“You know, if I had a dollar for every time you said that, I’d-“
“And if I had a dollar for every time you said that, I’d have enough to pay you to stop saying that any time I try to stop you from doing something stupid.” Eric interjected. They were best friends, sure, but whenever Sam wanted to do something that had even the slightest bit of danger Eric tended to freak out and act like he was going to jump off a bridge. It wasn’t like Eric could stop him, anyway. Not that it stopped him acting like he could.
Sam was short but relatively muscular, with short black hair and was currently wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, while Eric was tall and skinny, with slightly long brown hair and glasses on a long-sleeved shirt and similar jeans. They had been best friends for as long as they could remember, and this was really the only sort of thing they conflicted on. Sam had been discussing his vacation plans with him, and that was where the conflict came to a head. Eric’s idea of a good holiday was going to some scenic city and seeing the sights, while Sam preferred something more physical. In this case, he was thinking of going skiing again, which had set Eric right off, particularly when Sam mentioned not inviting him along this time.
“You nearly broke your neck last time, you know.” Eric said, waiting for the elevator to arrive, Sam very grateful for the fact that they were getting off at different floors.
“I don’t know, I look fine to me.” Sam said, resisting the urge to just tell him to shut up already. “Look, I’m going to be fine, so just calm down for once. I mean, you’re taking this way too seriously.”
“Well excuse me for not wanting you to come back missing part of your scalp. There’s plenty of better places to go, anyway.” Eric said as the elevator arrived, the two getting into it as the doors closed behind them.
“Will you just give it a rest already? I’m not going to kill myself, what are you, my mother?” Sam exasperatedly nearly yelled, wishing the damn elevator would move faster, it felt like it was taking forever to get anywhere.
“Well excuse me for being the only one trying to make sure-“ Eric started, before feeling strange. His head went fuzzy and everything felt strange, something that Sam was feeling as well, only slightly less so.
“Are you ok? I…” Sam started, looking up at Eric, who looked taller today for some reason. He rubbed his eyes, not noticing that the stubble that had built up on his face had vanished. He found himself staring at Eric’s chest rather than at his neck like he normally would have, and realised that something was very wrong, although everything was too blurry to figure out exactly what. His arms and legs grew shorter as he continued to shrink, body hair rapidly disappearing as his face grew more and more youthful, and he might have noticed a much higher pitched voice if he had been able to say something.
His face grew rounder as his shrinking clothes began to merge together, the blue of his jeans and the white of his shirt blurring together into a pale blue colour, the rough denim changing into a much softer fabric as his sleeves grew longer. At this point he didn’t even make it to Eric’s strangely curvier hips, and his socks merged with the legs of his pants as his shoes vanished altogether, at this point no more than three or four years old and still decreasing. The fog set in even harder as his memories faded away, his mind being regressed to that of a year-old infant, crawling on the floor.
Up above him while this was happening, Eric was also changing, although differently and not as drastically as Sam. She lost a head’s worth of height, face softening and growing smoother as his square jaw smoothed out. His hair grew to reach his shoulders, and his vocal chords were tweaked to make his voice decidedly feminine. His flat chest lost all of its hair as his nipples puffed up, flat abs forming into small but rapidly growing mounds, pink nipples and areolae darkening to a deep brown as they swelled up with milk, his shoulders narrowing as his chest in general grew more slender, making her chest seem larger in comparison on his still skinny frame.
His narrow him swelled tremendously outwards, going from skinny and flat to wide and curvy, becoming easily wider than his shoulders as his ass plumped up in response, seeming disproportionately larger on his still slim frame. His thighs grew thicker as well, and there was a shifting in his loins as her new gender asserted itself. To fit her new frame better her arms shrank and thinned out, his ill-fitting shirt shrinking and growing slightly tighter to fit her body as a thick bra formed underneath. His jeans, straining to fit her new hips, widened out at the guilty area while otherwise tightening into a pair of skinny jeans.
The elevator, taking a conspicuously long time to reach its destination, was about to open its doors when Eliza blinked a few times, wondering why she had gotten so light-headed, until she realised that her baby had somehow gotten onto the floor of the elevator and was thankfully apparently un-dropped.
“What are you doing down there? It’s not safe for you to be there. You could hurt yourself!” She chided herself as she picked up her child, heading out to do some shopping.
