Sam stepped into the party, avoiding most of the guests. While she had set her identity as Samantha Nielson, and influential in the company, enough to secure a spot at an otherwise exclusive company party, she hadn't had enough time for the change to set itself in, and her identity as a result would be easily picked to pieces. Half the people in here didn't even recognise her, which was never a good thing. She probably should have set her identity a week ago, but hey, she had everything in the world at her hands, and she could easily just walk away without what she came for. But where would be the fun in that?
While she allowed herself and her shimmering white dress to get some attention, she made sure she didn't keep it for long. She walked past a mirror, taking a look at herself. She was beautiful, sure, but blonde hair, blue eyes? She really should have gone for something more exotic. Maybe black next time, she didn't try being black nearly enough. She remembered that before she got her Necklace she was Latina, but she couldn't even remember what she originally looked like, thanks to changing around so much. It didn't help that any photos she had of herself changed when she did along with the rest of reality.
Either way, a significant change wouldn't help her identity settle, so she settled on changing her eyes to green, and headed for the staff-only door. She needed to change to someone less important, where she affected the memories of less people. The more people she affected in each identity, the worse, so making somebody who was pretty much a nobody would help. Luckily, she had an identity prepared for this.
She clasped the necklace around her neck, feeling the familiar rush as she began to change. Her curly blonde hair began to straighten and darken, as her eyes turned almond-shaped, her skin darkening from a pale white to a bronze colour. Her hair shortened into a small ponytail, while she shrank several feet, going from rather tall to quite short in seconds. Her manicured nails and careful makeup disappeared, while her expensive white dress changed into the white blouse and black pants of the serving staff for the party, her heels flattening out and changing into plain black shoes.
She came down from her rush, exhaling deeply as she let go of her necklace, confirming her new identity. Sang Nguyn, Vietnamese second generation immigrant, simple staff member for the party, in charge of drinks. Lived in a small apartment downtown, not currently in a relationship. Simple, effective, and just what she needed, but a big enough change for her to be unable to change herself out of the identity in the next day or so. Wow, she was short, everything was so much bigger. Never mind, eyes on the prize. On her way out, she would change something about her to throw off anyone who might have seen her, and briefly wondered what she would do. Maybe make herself gain a bit of weight?
Actually, there was no way in hell she was doing that, she thought to herself. She absolutely hated being fat, and made a point not to be anything more than averagely weighted at the absolute most. Still, it had to be something to change her general description. Make herself look pregnant? Darker skin? She'd worry about it later. Right now though, she went through the staff door, and headed for the closed-off areas of the building, to claim her prize.\
