"The Naga/Medusa upgrade." Samus said, selecting the upgrade using a thin lock of hair. All in all, she had found the Medusa upgrade fairly useful, despite the extra bulk of hair, and when she had found out that it was compatible with the Naga upgrade, she figured it might be interesting to see what it meant. She also couldn't help but feel like there was some connection between the word Medusa and snakes, but she couldn't quite remember what… She took the upgrade from the machine and inserted it into her zero suit, waiting for the changes to begin.

Immediately, Samus felt her hair become a bit lighter, and there was some light rustling as she looked down to see huge swathes of her hair falling apart, leaving her feet covered in hair as her hair's length was left at halfway down her back. Samus stepped out of the hair, and noticed that her hair seemed to be getting thicker, and tying itself into ponytail-like tendrils as it swung close to her vision as she watched her step. She grabbed one that fell past her eyes,  brushing the rest to the sides of her head to join the others, leaving her forehead bare, and took a look at it, the texture of her hair seeming to be rougher, Samus looking like she had long and thick dreadlocks, although ones almost as wide as her palm.

Samus was about to head over to the mirror to take a better look at herself, when her hair started to feel heavier in her hand and on her back, and she took another look at it, the material of her hair changing before her eyes. The hairs merged together, forming a round and mostly smooth surface that began to become… Scaly? Samus watched in confusion as her hair became the same scales that she had on her tail during the Naga upgrade, looking like she had snakes hanging from her head, turning from blonde to blue, lighter on the bottom and having the same pattern as her Naga's tail.  Just as she thought her bizarre change was over, the tip of the snake-tail of her former hair that she was holding began to change shape, becoming less smooth, two small holes forming at the tips, as a line went along the side, and a two things poked out from it that appeared to be… Fangs?

Samus felt it begin to move slightly, and became uneasy as she felt the rest of her hair begin to shift as well, until she saw the one she was hold open its mouth, a forked snake tongue slipped out between its fangs! Samus gasped as it turned to face her, Samus letting go in surprise as it opened its eyes and looked slightly curiously at her, before turning away and shifting around idly. Samus' heart started beating heavily, Samus beginning to panic at the realisation that she had a mass of snakes hanging off her head, until for some reason, she began to calm down. The shifting of the snakes stopped making her uneasy, and the idea of having snakes for hair didn't seem like such a distressing one anymore for some reason. Samus figured it must have been the upgrade, and it was a welcome change too, as she ran her hand through the mass of snakes that was her hair.

Samus walked over to the mirror, and despite her relative ease at the snakes, she still grew slightly uneasy at the independent motion of the snakes, and wished they'd stop. On cue, the snakes grew limp, laying down and hanging from her back, Samus realising that she must have been able to control them like her Medusa enhanced hair previously. She couldn't seem to control them like a third limb like her hair, but she could command them to move, each moving at its own speed independently, each snake seeming to have a mind of its own.

Samus watched them move in the mirror, and wondered just what possible use a head full of snakes could be.
