"The Kangaroo upgrade." Samus said, selecting the upgrade. She wondered why she kept going back to the Royalty series, since it never seemed to end well. This time she had almost ended up leaving the space station to start her own colony somewhere, but she had luckily reverted instead. Either way, she decided to keep trying upgrades, and came across this one, for what appeared to be some kind of animal that she didn't recognise the name of. She took the chip from the computer and inserted it into her zero suit, waiting for the changes to begin.

The first effect started with her feet, her heeled shoes disappearing as her the fabric from her knees down disappeared. Samus readjusted her feet on the cold metal, but noticed a stretching feeling coming from her feet and looked down. Her foot remained the same width, but began to stretch longer and longer, her toes on each foot merging into three equally size larger ones, her toes bumping up into larger curved ridges, slightly stubby at the end, her toenails turning black and lengthening small and sharp claws, with thick black pads underneath the toes and her heels. She gasped slightly as her legs from her ankles down painfully cracked backwards, turning digitigrade and gaining an extra joint at the mid-ankle, lengthening and bending back forward at that joint to let her balance on her altered feet.

Samus reacted to her painful modifications by stumbling backwards into the nearest wall for balance, her posture turning bow-legged as she held herself up, naturally bending over slightly at her knees rather than standing up straight. She looked down at her new legs and noticed that her thighs seemed to be thickening as her new legs from the knee down thinner, muscle building as her thighs grew larger while the rest was less than half as thick as it was before. Samus leant against the wall for support, and almost yelped slightly as her backside was pushed painfully away from it by a quickly growing large and thick tail, pink and naked but large and thick, curving as it dropped to her ankles and waved as she moved.

Samus felt slightly colder at her waist and looked down to see the fabric over her abdominals receding, leaving her midriff bared and her zero suit separated into pants and a top.  Her skin began to tingle, and she saw thin, light brown fur start to sprout from her skin, growing thicker as the sleeves of her zero suit disappeared up to her shoulders, leaving two small fingerless gloves behind as her arms were left bare. She blinked a few times as the fur also sprouted on her face, and began to walk over to the mirror to take a better look at herself.

As Samus walked, she found that on her new legs, she couldn't move very well traditionally, and found small hops to be much faster and more natural, if slightly strange looking. She kept to her slower normal walk as she reached the mirror, now covered in light brown fur, and took a look at herself. Apart from her wardrobe changes and new legs, tail, and fur, which she noticed to turn much lighter, and almost white along the backside of her legs, arms, tail, and the front of her chest and face up to her nose, the top of which was of the darker brown fur, she seemed to be otherwise untouched, Until she felt her ears tingle and watched them start to flatten as another pair sprouted higher up, Samus parting her hair around the large, round and slightly floppy new ears, twitching slightly as they were touched.

Before she could stop to think that her changes were over, her nose flattened, a black bit tipping the flat end with her nostrils shrinking to match it, and felt and watched her mouth and nose elongate out a bit, becoming more of a short snout than a normal face. Finally, Samus felt a tickling sensation on her belly, and looked down to see a furry pouch there, Samus puzzled as to the possible use of it. Her changes finally over, Samus opened and closed her new mouth a few times as she got used to it, before stepping away from the mirror.

Getting used to her new method of movement, Samus looked down at her huge thighs and remembered the Frog upgrade. She decided try out an experimental leap, and pushed herself up into a jump. She underestimated her legs power and almost fell on her face when she leapt high enough to touch the roof, luckily landing safely on her legs, able to take the fall easily. She wondered just what she could do with leg power like that if she were to kick someone. She also found her hands naturally raising into a position that she normally reserved for practising boxing, and wondered if she'd be any good at using that in combination with her legs.

"Hmm, I suppose I could get used to something like this…" Samus said, considering the possibilities. "Wonder what this is for though…" She said, rubbing her pouch.
