"The Gel/Balloon upgrade." Samus said. Or at least tried to say, it came out as "…" through her slime throat. Once she had gained enough control to very slowly use the computer without collapsing the appropriate limb into a blob, she had discovered that the Gel upgrade was apparently compatible with the Balloon upgrade. It wasn't like she had anything to lose, and she was curious as to how it would turn out. She took the upgrade chip from the machine, and let it float through her body towards her core, activating the upgrade.

Immediately, Samus felt… Strange. Like she was lighter, which was particularly strange considering she was a mass of gel formed into the shape of a human. She looked down to see her core floating down from her chest to where her stomach would normally be, and noticed that she seemed a little more transparent than usual. Then, once the core settled, she began to feel odd. Normally she could feel where all of her gel was, but her gel seemed to be moving, even when she wasn't using it. She looked back down to see that the gel that formed her breasts seemed to be getting a little larger. She tried to reduce the size, but found herself unable to, and saw that her breasts seemed to be hollow, rather than solid slime. She poked it, and found that her hand went straight through, some kind of air pocket inside pushing her gel outwards.

While her slime breasts kept growing, she felt a pressure in her abdominal area, and saw what she would call her belly being pushed out at an even faster rate! At the size of looking pregnant at full term, she was beginning to feel lighter, and also noticed that what she had formed into her rear end also had two pockets of air growing, although even slower than her breasts. Samus tried forming back into a puddle of slime, but found herself just formed into an inflated ball, unable to move, and formed back into her human shape. She tried to take a few steps, but by then her breasts were almost the size of her head, and her belly was approaching a half-metre long!

She again tried to take another step, but this time her feet didn't reach the ground, as she started to float up into the air, pulled up by her breasts and belly. She flailed around, trying to bring herself back down, but she didn't have enough cohesion in her slime to gain any kind of movement, and was reduced to hanging back as she floated towards the room at an increased speed, her expanding areas swelling even more. After almost a minute, she bumped into the roof, her arms and legs unable to reach it themselves past the expanse of her air-filled belly, and she felt an increasing amount of pressure on the roof as she squeezed against it, until she felt ready to burst. And then her belly grew too big to support her increasingly thin layer of gel, and she did, splattering onto the floor in a puddle of slime, her core bouncing a couple of times before settling into it.

Samus slowly pulled herself together, forming herself back into her human form, her human features slowly being defined as she concentrated. Her core settled back in her belly, and she silently sighed in relief.

"Well, I'm glad that's over." She thought to herself, before she looked down and saw her belly poke past her breasts.
