"The Koi upgrade." Samus selected from the list. It had taken a while to figure out how to get out of the lamp, but she decided that she definitely wasn't going back in there, even if she hadn't had a problem with staying in there while the upgrade was in place. She recalled the Koi as being an obscure kind of fish, and decided that she might as well just pick something random. She took the chip from the machine and inserted it into her zero suit, waiting for the upgrade to apply.

As usual her zero suit began to glow and began to loosen, but this time it actually began to get thicker, the material turning into a soft fabric as it became extremely thick, weighing heavily on Samus' body until it began to change. Her gloves disappeared, leaving her hands bare as a pair of long, large sleeves fell over them, as the heels of her shoes similarly vanished, the heel forming into the sole of a pair of wooden sandals to replace them. The material on her legs detached from her legs, forming together into a very long and thick dress, almost reaching the ground.

While this was happening, Samus stood very still, her mind being altered by the upgrade sa her clothes changed. Most of her aggressive tendencies were removed and replaced with a very quiet disposition, among other changes, and she waited patiently for the rest of the upgrade to finish.

As the fabric on her chest loosened further and began to droop down, a large sash and band tied itself around her, holding the kimono that Samus had suddenly recognised her dress to be up, a large ribbon being tied around the back. The kimono itself remained most the solid blues of her zero suit, high necked and showing very little skin.

Assuming her changes to be over, Samus began to quietly make her way over to the mirror when she noticed a lock of hair over her eyes, darkening as she watched. She grabbed her ponytail and moved it into her field of view, watching it as it darkened to a midnight black, surprised by the change, and not bothered. She let go as her sleeve rolled back to reveal that her skin was starting to pale, losing its healthy colour as it turned almost completely white, losing any roughness and imperfections along the way. Samus reached the mirror to take a look at herself, looking over her changes and newly acquired black hair and white skin.

As she looked, a few orange and black spots began to form over her face, and her ears began to grow longer and thinner, turning scaly as they grew bigger as well, until they resembled a fish's fin, twitching slightly when she touched them. She felt a piercing sensation on her neck, and looked in the mirror to see a set of gills on her neck, flapping open and closed as she breathed. But just as she thought her changes were over, she began to feel a strange sensation coming from her rear, and felt a stretching sensation growing larger and larger until there was a rustling sound on the ground as a long, scaly, fishlike tail with a large fin on the end poked out from underneath her kimono. Samus found herself able to move it after a few tries, the tales curling and moving around as she experimented.

"Well, this form may be nice, but I'm sure I can find something more effective…" Samus very quietly said to herself, not noticing the fact that she had slipped into another language as she walked over towards the computer.
